Booked this for my brother who needed a place to stay for a few days. This is a great wee hotel just 2 miles from the city centre and a 10 minute walk from Hampden Stadium. Excellent price for a large double room, good en-suite with powerful shower. Garden area to the rear of the hotel with picnic tables. Spotless. Lovely staff. Bro forgot his charger plug and reception lent him one but turns out there were 3 USB points in the room. I noticed a previous reviewer said there were none so maybe they were in a different room or just didn’t notice them. Would definitely recommend this, as even though no restaurant/bar there are loads of good places within easy walking distance.

We had the most wonderful wedding day at Sherbrooke Castle Hotel and could not recommend the location, staff and whole experience higher! William and Claire from the events team were so helpful and organised in the months leading up to our big day. Nothing ever felt like a stress at all and all our wishes were accommodated. On the day itself, we had our ceremony in the beautiful orangery to the side of the main hotel which was such a perfect romantic setting with plenty space for over 120 guests. Sherbrooke's Piper piped guests in and really contributed to the unique quality of a good Scottish wedding! The drinks reception and canapés followed. We had so many friends and family comment on how tasty the canapés were, especially the mini beef wellingtons which went down particularly well! We were busy getting photos, which so far look beautiful with the castle and gardens a wonderful setting to remember forever. A nice touch was that William organised for us to have some alone time after official photos were taken in our hotel room to relax and enjoy reflecting on the day so far. After that the day continued with delicious food in the beautifully decorated main room and then dancing. Throughout the day staff were so friendly and always checked in that we were having a good day with time to relax. We slept very well in the honeymoon suite and I look forward to staying there again in future :) Thank you to William, Claire and all the Sherbrooke staff for making our day so special!

This place is the pits. Overpriced rough hostel type experience in a dangerous area strewn with litter, dirt, graffiti and people openly taking drugs. Forget the online images of the entrance with tree etc and the bright rooms with pictures on the walls. It’s All Lies! If you really want the full scary experience, enter from the back through the car park. Your jaw will drop in horror. It’s totally horrendous. Litter strewn, graffiti mess, derelict nightmare. I was lucky to be with 2 large male colleagues but I would never let any woman travelling alone or in a group near this place. It’s not safe. Next door are residential centres for drug addicts and the walk into Glasgow is simply not safe. People openly taking drugs in the car park. When u make it to the Spartan front door they have rather amusingly embraced the graffiti theme by spraying entrance instructions on the wall. There are no plants etc as seen in their misleading ads The room is a cross between a prison cell and an outdated ferry cabin. If you like showering in a caravan style cubicle this is for you. If you enjoy claustrophobic experiences, this is for you. If you enjoy going to the loo in a cupboard, this is for you. If you like a grubby room with dirty floors, this is for you. If you enjoy straining your marriage to the extreme and crying in misery, this is for you! The checkin takes ages. Crisps etc are for sale for x4 the price despite Ibis claiming snacks are reasonably priced. And the breakfast is just a joke. Coffee is a spoonful out of a jar. Cross street woman asking randomly for room numbers. Horrible juice and nothing to eat but toast, cheap ham etc. No eggs I almost left my husband over this hell hole. I’m not that fussy and was aware that we had booked a cheap hotel, but so someone should make a documentary about this place. There were loads of larger ladies staying and for the life of me I wonder how people over a size 12 would fit in The shower cubical or the cupboard loo. Folks I paid a fortune to stay here! Husband booked it. I’ll never let him near booking.com again! Ok, I am old enough to suck it up but feel annoyed that my daughter could have been hoodwinked into staying in a dangerous dump like this. I met another solo traveller (female) at my business event and she was also staying here. She had a hole in the wall of her room right to outside. They refused to give her a refund. She was v upset. I’ll try and contact Ibis but will not hold out much hope of a response. Please please avoid at all costs.

Me and my friend stayed at the Euro Hostel Glasgow recently for couple of days. We had this place booked in 2020 but couldn go due to covid - staff were very accommodating and even though they couldn't refund us, they kept our reservation open. It was really easy to get in touch with them via email. Our room was a private bunk bed room with a bathroom. It was okay but I'd appreciate some extra drawers to be able to store our things. Also the bathroom light is annoying because it's on the sensor and it will turn off after a short time. Happened to me while I was showering so I had to open my shower doors to turn it back on. Our room was looking at the street and one of the windows didn't close properly which meant I'd be waking up due to loud noises. Also while it's great there is a heater in the room, it'd be helpful if we could regulate it's temperature as it was getting way too hot in the room. I would like to highlight some positives as well. The hostel has a very central location, perfect for getting around the city on foot. It also has good bus connections to some parts of the city that are a bit further. I also think it's genius to have little shelfs with a lamp and chargers next to each bed for phones, etc (although one of them wasn't working). There was also an option to have a buffet breakfast for additional 5£ / day. We had that one morning and it was fine with decent options.

Had a lovely stay in the VIP suite recently. Nice and spacious, bed very comfortable and nice touch with a fridge in the room. We were facing central station which was quite noisy but to be expected. Had an issue with the heating in the room, but a heater was dropped off to the room. However there are only 2 UK plug sockets in the room which are next to the bed, so it was quite a stretch to get the heater plugged in and it had to be right next to the bed. The lights around the tv also kept turning on all throughout the night every time you moved in bed which was strange, as if there is some kind of motion sensor. Ended up accidentally leaving a just opened expensive brand of shower gel in the shower. Have emailed regarding this and yet to receive a response.

No water in the room to drink, supplies for 1 tea or coffee each! ! decor was shabbily done,no toiletries! And no hotel services like bar etc, had to go out and buy ice and thankfully we had paper cups! Positives……Walking distance to lots of bars/restaurants/clubs etc staff were really lovely

Our stay was more pleasant than we maybe expected. Firstly it was easy to find and very handy for getting to and from Tollcross. Free parking was good, and plenty of spaces. Reception staff were friendly and extremely helpful - nothing was too much trouble, whether it was fresh towels, or topping up other items needed. Comfortable room and, despite a busy location, very little noise. We had dinner in the hotel on 3 occasions. For easiness. Good varied menu and drinks and good value. Service was good despite restaurant being busy at times. Staff were under pressure but kept smiling and did their best. There's also KFC and McDonalds right outside for fast food. Hotel met our requirements and was good value. We would stay here again if going to Tollcross. It's just so handy.

A decent, modern hotel with a comfortable, quiet room and lovely staff. Good breakfast with variety and free parking. Although I stayed on a Friday and Saturday night, there was hardly any noise from to my room at all and I slept a very well. There is a TV in the room but only with basic channels. I would’ve been nice if it had been a Smart TV to access my own streaming services. Bathroom was lovely and rainfall shower great with perfect temperature and really nice shower gel provided. Exceptional air conditioning. Kept me cool throughout my stay when it was so warm outside. Window also opens to allow for fresh air. Good limited to burgers, chicken and salads but is really tasty. Also, covered smoking area away from main door for those who need it. Location is a 2 minute walk from the river and 5 mins to SECC. One of the best hotels I’ve stayed in in Glasgow.

The hotel's layout is very stylish and meets the tastes of young people. Most of the people staying in it are young people. The hotel reception is also very good and not expensive. I checked in when the domestic epidemic was the worst. I felt very uncomfortable when I was there, but I also understand that I hope China can work hard to overcome this war as soon as possible!

The hotel is like a newly renovated hotel with a small door in the city centre. The location is good. It is within walking distance of George Square, Princes Street, Queen Station and coach station. Next to the hotel is a bar, like a hotel, the day the front desk said to go to the bar to eat and 10% off. I have already paid the fee online, but I have to take out the card and record the card number. The front desk said that it is only for confirmation and will not deduct the money. There is no deduction, but there is always a sense of insecurity in the leakage of information. Early arrival, free luggage storage, hotel elevator, narrow corridor, room space is OK, the double bed is small, and there are no two single beds, the room is adjustable, do not understand the size of the Europeans, why the bed is this size? The bar next to it is very awkward, but it seems to have stopped after 12:00, because it is too tired, not affected by the bar.

We booked 2 nights at this hotel and were very pleased with our choice. Our positive review begins with the emails we exchanged with Brooke earlier this year requesting more information and the responses were immediate and very friendly. The hotel is so conveniently located downtown that you can visit most sites by foot, and it is right next to the Central Glascow train station and a 2 minute walk to the bus stop for the 500 Glascow Express to the airport. There are numerous grocery stores and restaurants in the vicinity. We had requested a room with 2 single beds and were given room 623. The room was functional and included a coffee press and kettle, and there are free cupcakes and ice cream available in the hallway! Great shower, Wi-fi was fine, and we were able to open the window which was nice. The only negative was that this room had absolutely no place to hang up coats/clothes (i.e. no hooks or hangers anywhere!) which was odd and inconvenient. The breakfast in the ‘kitchen’ was great with juice, cereals, yogurt, toast, scrambled eggs and sausage/bacon. The icing on the cake is that all the employees are so pleasant and helpful! We highly recommend this hotel.
