I had the pleasure of staying in Saifi Suites for nearly three weeks to prepare for a medical conference in Beirut. This hotel is truly wonderful. The rooms are clean, very spacious and well-equipped, as well as quiet. The WiFi is speedy and consistent (which is a rarity in Beirut!). Housekeeping is completed to a high standard. I ordered room service on occasion and the food was very tasty and reasonably priced. The hotel is brilliantly located and if, like me, you prefer to walk, you are within a few minutes of downtown Beirut and only a little further for Zaitunay Bay, Hamra, etc. The airport is also only a 15-minute drive. The staff are very friendly and helpful, and answered my various questions on how to get around the city on my first visit. In particular, the guys and girls working in reception are honestly great. All in all, I would happily recommend Saifi Suites and would be glad to stay again.

The best thing about the Markazia Suites was the wonderful pillows and fresh, clean sheets. The bed itself was very comfortable as well. However, the duvet was a little too full for summertime. However, we were surprised with everything else, given that this hotel had been given five stars! The room, though spacious enough, was extremely old and dingy, with stained sofas, matted worn carpeting, really ready for refurbishing. The grout in the shower was filthy, covered with mildew. The bathroom amenities were pretty minimal for being labeled a five/star hotel. One pair of slippers for the two of us, no bath robe. The serviceman was a good sport when the crib in the room couldn’t be set up; he cheerfully took everything out and returned with a brand new porta crib. Yay! The repairman who was called for the broken safe and the broken refrigerator (which they ended up replacing) was very nice & didn’t at all seem put out. He also spent some time fiddling with the user-UNfriendly microwave & finally showed me how it worked when neither I nor the housekeeper could figure it out. Although the concierge was very welcoming & helpful, the doorman took a long time to open the door for us when we tried to enter with a stroller. We usually opened the door whether entering or exiting while he sat on his stool. Didn’t expect that for a five-star either.

We stayed in room 602 which is on the top floor and is a junior suite which looks out onto the road in front of the hotel. Lovely sized room, clean, warm, great shower pressure. Only downsides were the bed being against the wall on one side, making it difficult to get out of bed and the lack of a bedside light which meant bright overhead lights if you wanted to read in bed. The hotel staff were just fabulous, especially the breakfast boys, helpful and spoke good english. We asked at reception about a driver to take us on day trips and they recommended Mike who was marvellous, he was very knowledgeable and could answer any question we had. We never felt rushed and anywhere we wanted to stop to take photos - it wasn't a problem. The roads surrounding the hotel are very busy, and difficult to cross if you're not fast on your feet (although we found we got used to it really quickly and the local drivers are very courteous in slowing to allow you to cross) We had a lovely holiday in Beirut, hotel was lovely, close to the harbour but only a couple of dollars by Uber away from anywhere you might want to see. A 5 minute walk to BeBabel restaurant where we ate at least once a day and a minutes walk to the corniche. I'd definitely stay here again.

Benefits: The hotel room is large with a small balcony, the sea view is great, and the breakfast can be seen on the top floor. Disadvantages: 1. Book one month in advance and write an email to the hotel to book the airport pick-up service. After the arrival, I can't find the car. After I went to the hotel, I asked if I didn't even apologize. I said, "Oh, the colleague who may have promised you forgot. ". 2. The hotel is not allowed to bring water and food, and no kettle is provided. You can only drink mineral water from the small bar in the room. The cheapest one is a 2000LL bottle. 3. The hotel buffet breakfast is from 6 am to 11 am, but it is basically cold cuts, there is almost no hot food, and there are not many styles. 4. There is a seafood restaurant opposite the hotel, which will be open to the public. At 8/9 in the evening, the music was loud and loud until the early hours of the morning. The music and the crowd cheered only louder and louder, and could not sleep at all. 5. At 9 o'clock in the morning, I heard that the upstairs began to knock and beat the drill wall and was woken up in the repair. Summary: The biggest advantage of the hotel is that the room is large, the location is very good, there is a small balcony with sea view, but the price is that the toilet is small and pitiful... smaller than the hotels in Japan. The hotel's overall facilities are very old, the staff service attitude is not hot or cold, the room WIFI slow WeChat video can not be opened, there are restaurants nearby can not sleep.

Hotel looks nice from the outside, neighbor restaurant NOT part of the hotel. Limited language skills by the staff at the hotel. I entered a double room with a balcony as requested. Very OLD INTERIOR with mould by the A/C, lamps torn apart, electrical cables joined manually, power sockets totally loose - and sp****! VERY hot so I powered the A/C on. After about 2 hours liquid started dripping to the floor - a LOT! Put down a towel to absorb - also the sound. Powering off going out for dinner. Returning again I started the A/C again and notified the staff. They made fotos and thought it was OK; asking for another room, but “hotel fully booked”... After 2 hours dripping heavily again, staff again - now I changed to a suite! So NOT FULL!! If you need a hassle free hotel, choose elsewhere...

My last stay at the Gefinor Rotana Hotel was in October 2020 as with the COVID – 19 pandemic I had literally no chance to stay in Lebanon. The restrictions in entering Lebanon have been eased, somewhat, and so last week I decided to book a stay at my favorite hotel in all of Lebanon! I had always considered this Gefinor Rotana Hotel my “home-away-from-home” and I soon rediscovered the reason why I felt this strongly for this particular hotel. Simply driving up to the front entrance of the hotel and as I was getting out of the car the doorman said: “Welcome back Mr. Webber”, I got into the Lobby and then these greetings were more numerous: “Great to See you Mr. Webber and “”It has been a long time Mr. Webber”; etc. There was a very nice room upgrade waiting for me at the Front Desk and, as always, the check-in process was fast and professional. Our suite was on the 15th floor and the view of Beirut from the suites balcony was fantastic. And when the bell man brought up our suitcases his first words were: “Welcome back Mr. Webber”. This particular staff member has been with the Gefinor for the past seventeen years! We enjoyed an early dinner down in the hotels Olive Garden Restaurant and Terrace. Then my wife and I had a great night’s sleep, as we had an early flight the next morning. All in all this stay ranks as one of our best not only from the friendly attitude of the staff and management team, but in having a very nice dinner and a restful sleep. I highly recommend the five stars Gefinor Rotana property, you will not be sorry…trust me!

Though we didnt expect too much from this place, as we are well aware of what a Four Points outlet offers as well as having stayed here a decade ago. But even then it felt more bland and basic than we expected. If you're not addicted to Marriott properties (like I am) then stay elsewhere. LOCATION: Located in Verdun district with easy access to most points of interest DINE + DRINK: The breakfast was one of the top highlights of our stay. Absolutely worth waking up for! Excellent selection of FRESHLY PREPARED local dishes whipped up by highly capable chefs and served by very warm and friendly staff. The lobby bar is a characterless plug-in to this place and not worth even dropping into to check. ROOM: We stayed in 812, so this review is based on that; VIEW: Random views of the cityscape and the sea at a distance; SIZE: Very spacious room; AIR-CON: An almost nonfunctional air-conditioner that heated up the room like a sauna. We struggled to sleep because of the sub-optimal temperature.; BED: Comfortable bed that played the expected part to put me to sleep; BATHROOM: Stand in shower; TOILETRIES: FACILITIES: Compact Gym with a basic range of weights and Cardio machines SERVICE: Friendly staff that took care of all our needs with a smile and made us feel pampered and well taken care of. Special Shout out to the folks at the Restaurant who took care of us so wonderfully during Breakfast HOW WIRED YOU WILL BE: Free high-speed Wi-Fi that works well all over the property. Big Plasma TV screen dishing out dozens of channels spanning sports, news, music, movies and a wide variety of entertainment in multiple languages COVID UPDATE: THe property has done an excellent job of ensuring safety, social distancing and hygiene to minimize the risk as much as possible. Especially the Common areas and Restaurant had a good implementation of the required rules

We spent here two nights. You can easily notice that once it had been a great hotel. Now some furniture is a little bit worn out and the glory has faded. Still, I believe it is a nice place to stay as it is situated in lively Hamra district, close to the city centre. The prices are good, I think you cannot really expect a super modern hotel in this location for 30 dollars, just be realistic. We had here breakfast - all tasty, friendly staff members but to be fair there was rather narrow choice of food. Probably it is wiser to go for breakfast somewhere else.

I stayed here while on a group tour and had a very pleasant stay. The hotel is located very close to Hamra street with its shops and restaurants, but about an hour's walk to the centre of Beirut (Beirut Souks and Martyrs' Square). The appearance of the hotel both outside and in the lobby area is up to western standards. The staff were very helpful, I arrived at around 10.30 am and as the hotel wasn't very busy they let me access my room straight away. My room was very nice and clean with enough space. The bathroom was great and had a bath with a shower in it. There were also tea and coffee making facilities in the room which I didn't see a lot of in Lebanon. The wifi access in the room (and all around) was superb. The breakfast at this hotel was the best I had in Lebanon. Lots of choice with a mix of Lebanese and European items. I used the bar at this hotel a couple of times as well, it was a little expensive but not outrageous. Overall I would definitely recommend this hotel for stays in Beirut, I would say the area of this hotel is better for staying in than the very city centre. I had a very pleasant stay here.

I Regret to Say that i did not expect this from Royal Tulip Hotel, as it is a big Name, and considered a 5 Star Hotel in Many countries. I will start with when i booked via booking.com and was asked to pay 3 days before arriving to the hotel. that was settled, and i got to pay 3 days earlier. When i got to the lobby, the receptionist looked down at me, which at first i got the impression i was not welcomed there. anyways, I gave her the payments in usd, and it took her 5 to 10 minutes making sure the dollars were not fake. In a 5 Star hotel i expect them to have a Currency Checking Machine instead of squeezing the money in different ways and methods that i've never seen before. anyways i just thought to my self that it was her personal behavior. I was already not looking forward to the hotel. Upon arrival for checking to the Hotel, the room was not ready and we had to wait 30 minutes. Checking was supposed to be by 2:00pm and we arrived by 2:30pm and waited until 3:00pm. We finally got the card, and headed to the room. We paid for a Suite, but received a Tiny Room, we were not sure whether that was the suite or not. We decided to go the swimming pool for a little swim before heading out to Beirut, and my my, the swimming pool was dirty, the environment was dusty and foot prints on the glass table, the tiles were dirty, the water was green, i bent down to smell the water, and there was no chlorine smell in it. We decided not to swim but to sit and watch the view of the city. we headed out to Beirut for the night, and got back pretty late, we took our bath everything was well, and when we woke up in the morning to have our breakfast. (Breakfast has an additional cost of $9 Per Person) we got to the breakfast section of the hotel which is also in the lobby. There was only 1 boiled egg in the pot. and some bits and pieces of food, we didn't understand what we were supposed to eat, we asked the waiter for coffee, and he provided us with cold coffee. We were just shocked from everything that was going on in the hotel, we decided to check out.. No words for what we experienced. Not worth the money. very disappointing.

We stayed in this hotel for almost a month with my husband. The last days of our stay at the hotel coincided with New Year's Eve, and therefore they demanded a much higher fee than the deal we made at the beginning. My husband has been staying at this hotel since 2014 due to his job. Although there are many more suitable options, we decided to stay in a hotel where we are regular customers, making a big mistake. They wanted to change our room without asking us about our checkout date. Because they wanted to give to a higher paying customer. The hotel clerk ( Rania) was so mean and greedy that she would fight us for money. They thought they had made $45 extra from us, but they lost their regular customers. They say they give discounts to UN employees, but don't believe it; it is definitely not good value for money. However, I would like to keep the other staff here apart from all these comments. The hotel staff are friendly and hardworking except for the sales ( Rania) and the guy who fought with us next to her. They're trying to rob their customers by making those people work for a dime.

The best stay ever in an apartment hotel ... My wife and I were very impressed from the hotel, it’s facilities and the hospitality of the staff. We stayed here for exactly 4 months. The whole hotel is very nicely laid out. We had a superior 1 bed room suite in the 9th floor with very nice furniture and an excellent mountain view from the bed room balcony as well as sea view from the living room balcony. On top you can safely eat and enjoy everything and the breakfast and the dine in meals are really delicious. As a first time visitor to Beirut, from the US, this hotel served us very well as a base for exploring the city. The hotel itself is large, well centered, and very unique. The lobby features multiple places for lunch, breakfast, beer, etc. It's all there. I was a bit concerned as the hotel reviews said it had no onsite dining options - but really they do as the lobby has tons of options. The choices are much better than your standard onsite hotel dining. Across the street is a small shop for snacks, drink etc, again everything you need to make a trip comfortable as you deal with jet lag and a new city. The area was extremely well located with many shopping and sight seeing options available. The area itself was well maintained and a nice center for exploring the different areas of Beirut. I was torn between this hotel and Le Gray, and after seeing Le Gray and downtown, I was glad we stayed here in Hamra. The walk to Downtown took 2 of us (late thirties) 20 minutes and the walk back along the Corniche was 30m. It is a fairly easy walk and not as far as I had thought. Hotel provided umbrellas due to the rain and it was a nice touch. The room was extremely large, similar to a large studio apartment. The room is stocked with everything you need and is all clean as one would expect for a hotel. I stayed in a Van Dyck Sea View Suite and it was a great choice, located on the 12th floor, the views were amazing. We booked transport via the hotel and the driver was exactly where he said he would be when we arrived, clear name placard and easy to find. This was HUGE for us and really made for a great first impression. Professional gentleman, clean car, and easy arrival after 20 hours of travel. Only small issues as an FYI: 1) Breakfast wasn't mentioned and then was a bit awkward to get details on. You take it in Paul's and tell the waiter your room number and you have ~22 per person USD to select whatever you want. Seems to work for anything at anytime. 2) House keeping forgot something every single day, either coffee, shampoo, or similar. Overall the hotel is a great choice for a tourist needing a good base for relaxing and enjoying the city. Wonderful hotel.

We had an issue with swimming at the main outdoor pool which ended up with us leaving the location. While pool staff were not too friendly and forthcoming, overall, we were impressed by how hotel management resolved the issue. Another strange policy is no availability of any food during the morning hours, meaning waiting till 12 noon to have a snack, not being allowed to bring any snacks, even for kids. A bit hard having paid $60 just to get in. At least they could open a small shop if not scared of losing a few $ with people brining too much food. A bit to strong on
