We spent six nights in the 3 Star Hotel de Paris. It is an eclectic/industrial - themed hotel in the heart of Lyon. Great location for visiting Vieux Lyon and other sights on both sides of the two rivers. We were on the 4th floor. It has a tiny elevator, but works well. What I liked best was the hotel staff. Friendly, helpful, nice people. In the lobby there are cold soft drinks available 24 hours a day, and the lobby is staffed 24-7. The wifi was strong and the A/C was outstanding, which was a blessing since the temperatures hovered around 100 degrees while we were here. Lyon is a great city to visit. USA is playing England tonight in the World Cup just a few miles away. Go USA.

The only thing positive about this hotel is the location, it's great. But Lyon is not a major city areawise, so more than likely all hostels in Lyon are conveniently located. The first night I stayed in a room with a single bed and on-suite. The room was clean and not far from hotel standard. The following 3 night we stayed in a 4 person dorm and this is where things started falling apart. According to the booking site (a well known one), we booked a room for four with on-suite. But when I opened the door to the room; lo and behold - no on-suite. The room has two wooden bunk beds with horrible, plastic-covered mattresses. There's no furniture except a plastic chair (and the beds), so we have absolutely nowhere to sit in the room except in the beds (and there was space). As there wasn't any on-suite I walked down to the reception to ask them what was going on, they told me that the booking site description must be wrong, they have no rooms for four with on-suite. So I asked the clerk how they would compensate us, he had no idea. So I suggested a free breakfast and he agreed (but only one per head). The breakfast was utter crap. Cold coffee that tasted horrible and some bread. That's about it. The rooms get really hot and if you open a window there's a nearby bar and street with loads of traffic, so if you're a light sleeper; forget about it. Toilets in the corridor were only cleaned once a day (at 16.00) hence they were disgustingly dirty most of the time. Would I stay here again? No, I'd rather sleep in a park.

The location of the hotel is really good. Downstairs is Sephora opposite Paris Spring, and then White Apple Square, but the hotel rooms are really too small, and then there is no bathtub. The hotel I booked was very expensive because at the time It ’s the Lyon Festival of Lights, so it ’s very expensive. It ’s usually not that expensive. If you judge this hotel by its value, it ’s not worth it. I think its value should be around 1,000 yuan. Simple is rude, because breakfast is not so good, but there are few juices that are not freshly squeezed for tea, and you have to make your own tea in bags. The hotel does not have any service at the front desk to check in, and it is not very fast, but it is generally okay. It is not worth 1,000 yuan or more for 1,000 yuan, thank you!

There is a kitchen, you can cook, the room is ok, and it is relatively clean. . There is no air conditioner, only an electric fan, but the quilt is very thin. . The hotel's parking may have to be reserved, otherwise it will not be opened and there will be pillars at the intersection. We stopped at the parking lot by the river, and it was relatively close. First time staying at this hotel. It is a very good hotel, clean, new, comfortable. Located in front of the Saone river. I came to this hotel to attend a business conference/training. The staff is helpful, the rooms are good size compared to other hotels. The food and service is good at the restaurant. I went jogging couple of days along the river. There are restaurants, shops in the streets behind the hotel. I will return to this hotel.

The hotel is located in the heart of Lyon, just a 5 minute walk from the central square and shopping streets. There are a variety of specialty shops in the shopping street, big-name luxury jewelry and ZARA, HM, etc., although not comparable to the Paris store, the goods are all, but the basic models are available to meet the basic shopping needs. The most acclaimed hotel is the breakfast, on the top floor of the hotel, with a view of the Rhone River through the floor-to-ceiling windows. The breakfast is extremely rich, because it is the holiday season, breakfast is delayed until 11 o'clock, you can rest assured that you can take a nap and slowly enjoy a fine brunch.

The location of the hotel is very good. It is about 10 minutes walk from the train station and 10 minutes from the shopping spots on the other side of the river. Life is convenient, there is an Uexpress supermarket downstairs, you can buy fruits, yogurt, super delicious. Must be freshly squeezed juice, cheap and delicious! The room is not big, but each double bed is 1.5 meters wide. It is no problem for two people to sleep on the same bed. It is a good news for families with children. The room is very clean. Although it is not very high-end, it is not bad.

Location-wise I'm not sure - it really depends on what you are in Lyon for probably. Should be easy enough to get into the city center, though for a tourist I would probably only choose this place because of price as it's not really in the center. This looks like a bit of an older Mercure - at least the rooms - but nothing could be faulted on the service. Very nice people at check-in / check-out. Seemed like a noisy hotel downstairs in the lobby every time (people having a good time I'm sure) but it was quiet enough in the room. The room was quite nice too, bit of a special layout but I like that. Good bed, good wifi, good enough bathroom. Would I go back? If I had to be near it, definitely would. Though it wasn't so exceptional that I wouldn't also look at other places before deciding :)

1, ibis standard room, small and tidy, except for the towel hand soap, there is no hotel linen; 2, go left and turn left a few steps from the train station, the train station has starbucks / bakery, etc., through the train station hall is Lyon's Galeries Lafayette and Carrefour and other malls, but this Lafayette is a low match in Paris, in short, easy to eat and drink; 3, walk to the ancient city for about 40 minutes, you can also stroll; 4, parking fee 15 euros per night, originally 30 euros live Shop guests can make a 50% discount; 5, the hair dryer can be borrowed at the front desk for 10 euros, and the deposit is refunded when checkout; 6. The hotel is quite chaotic, armed with guns and various shackles.

How do you say this hotel? I feel that the hotel in Lyon is a bit expensive, this price is still moderate, so I booked it. Next to the train station, there is a subway to take, walk to the new city for 30 minutes, to the old city for 40 minutes, we stayed for 3 nights, so it is quite good to eat and walk slowly. The hotel is about 5 minutes from the train station. There is a mall next to it, there is the Galeries Lafayette department store, and there is a Thai restaurant on the top floor of the mall. The hotel is 10 minutes away from the food court. There are many seafoods inside. It is a seafood platter with French cold food. , oysters, snails, shrimps, crabs, shellfish, etc., as well as the famous sausage cheese here. Lyon doesn't feel too big, it's okay to walk around. There is a fast train coming from the airport. It takes 16 euros for one person. It takes about half an hour. The taxi says 45-70 euros. It takes about 45-1 hours to drive. We met a girl who said that she could carry us on the road, 20 euros, so I took an hour to get to the hotel. The hotel's breakfast is simple, there is no hot food, only bread, croissants, eggs can be boiled by themselves, coffee and tea, juice, yogurt, cereals, and freshly squeezed orange juice. There are not many varieties, and it is enough to eat. There is a booth at the opposite side of the hotel with croissants and coffee tea. It is good to eat, drink and snack when you first arrive.

I booked this hotel for 3 nights from 25 to 28 October on their website (price was better than on booking.com). Before check in hotel preautorized amount for first night. During check in, the woman didn’t speak English (on the wall there is a sign ‘English spoken’), tried to take this amount again. After my refuse, she agreed to take the other payment and COMPLETE preautorization. But the amount of the first night was double charged. The other day I talked with English speaking receptionist and he confirmed that they didn’t complete that pre authorization, but took another sale and I have to wait to get money back when it will be unfrozen. After explaining that usually in all the world the preautorization can be cancelled by pos machine, that guy MADE one more preautorization for the amount of first night!!! After calling to manager, he said ‘sorry, but we can’t cancel not the preautorization before arrival day, not the one that I did by mistake now’. I asked for solution, but he just said sorry, that he can’t do anything and the manager whom he called is not interested in fixing this problem because it’s a Sunday evening. What the hell?? Firstly woman who has no idea and no language skills made the payment without explanation, second the other staff made a mistake and all they can do is ‘sorry but I can’t do anything’?? Is this the European level of hospitality?? Even for 2 star hotel is terrible service. The room was okay, but there is no window, instead of it there is a second door without lock, but with jaloezie. No fridge in the room. Room is on the ground floor. I expected that facilities and service is for 2 star and I would not complain. But absolute indifference of problem solving and unprofessionalism of staff, unwillingness of fixing the issue on the manager’s level are just shocking.

I spent four nights at the hotel, and wish I had spent a week! The entire stay was fantastic, from the enormous bed and beautiful view of the abbey to the cocktails in the bar. The room was huge and had gorgeous views over the abbey and quiet French streets below. The bells chiming every hour during the day just added to the atmosphere of tranquility - it was hard to believe that we were staying just moments from the city centre. The staff could not have been more helpful - I asked to swap rooms on arrival so I could have a room with a bath, and my request was dealt with instantly. The bar staff are very friendly and accommodating, even whipping up a few cocktails that weren't on the menu when asked. The location of the hotel is ideal - it is a 2 minute walk from the main metro line, 10 minutes to the Bellecour square, 15 minutes (max) to the old town. There are plenty of restaurants, bars, pharmacies and shops around - the Spar about 2 mins away stays open till 10pm each day, even on Sunday which is unheard of in France. It was easy to get to every corner of the city, but didn't feel like you were in a touristy area at all. The decor of the hotel is beautiful, elegant and colourful - it actually has some personality unlike so many places these days - and the way that the old stonework of the building has been showcased is fantastic. I didn't eat in the restaurant so can't comment on it, but it always seemed lively and the menu looked very interesting. I'm already planning a return trip, and will certainly be staying here again. I lived in Lyon for many years and never knew where to recommend as a hotel for visitors, but now I certainly do!

Wonderful & Peaceful hostel at a great price for very comfortable beds, fab coffee and such a pretty and beautifully decorated chill out area for the morning breakfast, with artistic reviews to read and many tourists brochures for people passing by. Handsome and charming men working at the welcome desk. Dorms for women, and dorms for men. The showers were great with everything you need: plenty of hot water, towels, hairdryer etc. The showers are mixed so take a small fold up dressing gown and tongs in your backpack. Loved this relaxing place with a great courtyard for chilling out in the spring and summer months. Scandinavian style chill outside with warm blankets is groovy also for hot drinks & bavarderie in the winter months. This is the best kind of place for backpackers, journalists and people who don't want to spend a fortune on lodging & would rather spend it on a great steak/frites!

Stopped here on business with many colleagues. Overall the hotel is exactly what you would expect from the IBIS hotel chain. The rooms are clean and spacious and very modern. I had a good nights sleep every night. The breakfast hall was always busy, so I found it was better to arrive early to avoid the hustle-bustle. Overall a nice range of breakfast items. The bar area was a little of a let-down and quite often we had a very long wait to be served. I liked the large indoor car-park with its double gated security. At the edge of the city, it is more suitable for self-driving, convenient for arrival and departure. But there is a bus in front of the door, and it is not far from the old city. It is estimated that it is not convenient to drive by yourself. The rooms are nice, with a balcony and a kitchen, kitchenware and cutlery, including a microwave and coffee maker. In short, it feels good and worth the money. The only inconvenience is that the opposite side of our room is under construction and it is noisy in the morning.

We selected this location due to the trip advisor reviews. Let's talk about the quirks of the hotel... Do not expect a street level lobby. It does not exist. There is a sign on the building, but this is a shared building wih (presumably) other residents and businesses. The hotel is on the 2nd floor (as I recall). So if you are used to an American style lodging, be prepared for something different from the beginning. The elevator to get to the hotel is small. We had to take multiple trips to get our bags up. At the top is another door that takes you into the 'hotel' lobby. We stayed in a junior suite, which is large by european standards. I think we would have found the other rooms too small. You will also be given quite a key set. You will be given 3 keys. One key is for the hotel door (for after hours), one key is for your room, and they have an RFID fob to get you in from the street to the inner lobby, and from the inner lobby to the elevator. They explain all this to you, and it isn't difficult, but it can seem like it to begin with. We had no issues. The hotel is old, but the rooms have been wonderfully preserved. I think the pictures are mostly an accurate presentation of what you are getting. The staff was very accomodating. They gave us very detailed instructions on things to do that we based our plans off of for the several days they were there. It is a 3-5 minute walk to the metro station. Learn and use the Lyon transportation system and save yourself some walking. We found the bathroom in the room to be more than adequate a very nice for European standards. In summary: Expect a little quirkiness with this one, but the price cannot be beat for what you get.

A family of three, the executive three-person room booked two days in advance, the standard room plus a sofa bed at the time of check-in, the most important thing is that there is no quilt and pillow on the sofa bed! And all the toiletries are for two people. After negotiating with the front desk, I said that I am embarrassed to clean up the mistakes. Then I found a circle and said that I was too embarrassed to be quilted. I can only use the spare blanket in the cabinet! We asked for two sheets to look for. The attitude of the younger brother is good, but it is helpless, and we are speechless. In addition, the room had a pungent taste of decoration (or the smell of carpet cleaner) and opened a night window. Experience the worst hotel on this trip!

The Hotel is centrally situated just outside the Old City with easy access via public transport, Metro (Underground) Trams and buses within easy walking distance. The room my wife and I occupied was on the fifth floor at the front of the building over looking the Rue de Seze with a good flow of one way traffic, I must add that there was no noise polution to disturb a very comfortable night's sleep. In the morning we were able to enjoy a very continental breakfast, served with a range of freshly squeezed orange juice and other fruit drinks from self service jars. Scrambled eggs, yes scrambled eggs and sausages or if you preferred a lovely range of cold meats, cereals, yogurts and needless to say fresh breakfast pastries and bread all washed down with your choice of teas or coffees. You are spoilt for choice where to eat at night. Opposite the hotel we treated ourselves to a wonderful Lyon foodie experience at the Jean Moulin Restaurant. I'll write a further review about the restaurant safe to say worth a visit. Further down the Rue de Seze another excellent I'm not too sure of the name but 'Gout' (Taste) is in the name. Overall experience of the hotel, in my view excellent.
