|7.76km from city centerThis hotel was very clean and comfortable and the conference area was very well set up. The complimentary breakfast included with the room was delicious. The room was very spacious and the beds very comfortable. The staff was very courteous. I would definitely stay at this establishment again.

|8.48km from city centerThe most satisfying thing is breakfast, and finally there are scrambled eggs instead of just boiled eggs. The front desk is very good, the front of the door is the lake, it is a great pleasure to have time to sit and enjoy the scenery. Moreover, this is the only hotel in our entire Canadian itinerary that does not require a deposit, and it feels good to be trusted. recommend!

|3.99km from city centerI have to make multiple trips a year to Halifax with my youngest for hospital visits & we stay at the Chocolate Lake BW every single time as not only do they have an arcade, a pool & a gym to keep kids (& adults lol) occupied without having to go anywhere, they also have exceptionally friendly & helpful staff who are courteous & kind & always greet you with a smile, and they have THE BEST restaurant with the BEST food!! We've never left feeling hungry!!

|0.3km from city centerThe location is on the edge of the port, and there is a COWS ice cream shop 10 meters from the east gate.
The clerk is professional. Breakfast is not included, it is a la carte system, but the price is actually acceptable between 17-24 Canadian dollars.
The facilities include a swimming pool and a gym. The gym is very large. In the swimming pool, the old white man and the old lady are doing extravagant things, which is also drunk.
The last hour of the swimming pool is adult only time, but there are still children in it after the time has passed. The security staff helped clean up in time. very good.

|0.76km from city centerI was very satisfied with the double bed for the first time, but this time the single bed was shocked. The toilet is half as big as last time. The soundproofing is also poor, and it doesn't feel like the same hotel as before. Maybe the top floor hasn't been renovated yet. This time the room doesn't deserve 800 RMB at all

|4.42km from city centerWell, I stayed at the Holiday Inn on John Savage for the week of March Break for Business travel. Frankly, I do not know how the staff maintained the premises so well. Sure with the place loaded with kids, there was a little child having fun noise but nothing that kept me from sleeping well, or a distraction from my work. Kudos to the Hotel team for dealing with the ”onslaught” on families so well.....remarkable job under extreme circumstances....(JOAN!!!!!) Funny, even during the amazingly hectic times, Joan and her team had left me a lovely note and welcoming treat. As a business traveler who stays in LOTS and LOTS of hotels...it really means a lot when you can come ”home” at night to a welcoming friendly and professional family. I can't applaud the team and amazing leadership at Holiday Inn on John Savage enough. As for me, and because of the awesome teamwork at Holiday Inn on John Savage, our Company (over 200 employees in 4 eastern Provinces) have selected Holiday Inn as our preferred ”away from home family”. I just left Holiday Inn Dieppe where we now hold all our manager's meetings and all managers stay there for the days of the meetings. It was all because of Michelle's and Joan's wonderful leadership and excellent customer service over the years I have been coming. Finally, on my way home, I had to overnight in Dartmouth due to flight restrictions just last night. Did I stay out by the Airport which was WAY more convenient? NO. I stayed with my family away from home in Dartmouth who, though I was only staying one quick night, still remembered me! Always with a note and a treat. Amazing customer service. So, Michelle, Joan, and the team..... thank You for making my business travels such a pleasant experience. Finally, for a business traveler who stays in many hotels all over Canada and primarily in Eastern Canada.....there are certainly lessons in customer service that can be gleaned from the John Savage Team........... I'll see you folks again soon! Thank-You so much!

|5.16km from city centerThe hygiene of this hotel really made me feel very scared. The sheets were covered with the hood and still used. I smelled it and smelled it. I really don’t know how the score of the review would be so high. Let me choose this one. There may be a lot of people catching the plane. The hotel is very noisy. There is a voice from the next room in the big night. I will never choose an airport hotel without taking a plane. I really feel like a big car in ancient China. Shop, but the big car shop should not be so expensive.

|0.1km from city centerThey had us over a barrel. Apparently the whole place was booked. Crazy expensive for a place that was less good than a standard Holiday Inn or Ramada. The room had a ton of light leaking in from the hallway door. But our problem was the old pillow-top mattress. My back's not great, and it was sagging in the middle. Painfully soft. They didn't have a spare mattress. Not one. So if a person spilled water, a child had an accident, whatever, there is NO SPARE MATTRESS? Wifey asked if the (old) couch was also a sofa-bed. The staff wasn't quite sure(!!!). It was. We asked for more sheets and another comforter. They delivered more sheets. The old sofa was, well, old. The spring mattress in it has lumps, but it was better (firmer) than the bed. The location is prime, but they have competition. Next time we are in Halifax (it's a place we go), we won't stay at the Barrington. Kudos to the nice people in the restaurant. Good value for the food, friendly staff. Front desk... No good.

|0.35km from city centerFrom the first moment on arriving, we were disappointed. There is space for 2 cars to park for check in in front of the hotel. Then $25 a night for parking across the street in an unsecured lot. Who pays $300 a night to drag their luggage across a street? The website clearly states a restaurant, otherwise I would never have booked here.. . it is my main criteria for booking, When I asked I was told it closed a year ago, then why is it still on the website? My irritation was ignored by the desk. The room was so cold, we cranked the heat up to 31C and the fan continued to blow cold air. When I called I was told to turn it off and they would bring up portable heaters. No, come and fix it. The technician came promptly and basically said the system was not working but he could turn off the cold air but could not fix the heat valve as ”his boss hadn't shown him how”. He would bring a portable heater. BTW I heard other guests complaining at breakfast about the cold. I would have cancelled my next night booking but that meant not having a room between noon and 4 PM, not exactly the point of staying two nights. The one, and only one, redeeming factor was the breakfast complimentary for us as gold Hilton Honors, otherwise $14 and $18. Our server was also very pleasant. Check out - the clerk was so unfriendly and dour, not even asking if we enjoyed our stay. This trip has undermined my faith in Hilton, as we have not had a good stay this year, and we have spend 10 nights in Hiltons.

|1.12km from city centerI stayed for a total of six days, the first time I booked 3 days, and the subsequent days increased every day, but the price was different each time (maybe the discount is different). The first price was 750 yuan, and the last price was RMB 1206, the gap is quite large, it is estimated that the earlier you book the price, the better.

|2.08km from city centerThe Hotel had renovated since our last visit and we booked accordingly, for an overnight stay. This turned out to be a mistake. 1) Upon checking in, we found that the room furniture & decor was very dated & in poor condition. Some efforts could be seen in attempts to update room decoration (including the bathroom) but damage to a wall had not been addressed 2) There was no soap in the room. I called to advise & was asked to come down to reception to get some. Upon arrival, I was told that the hotel was completely out, The solution was to use shower gel & were given extras 3) The TV didn't work because the wires had been disconnected from the box & TV. It appeared that when I pulled out the dresser to fix, I had been the only one back there in quite awhile 4) The Ice bucket in the room contained melted water from a previous guest with no replacement plastic liner. When asked, the service Staff were unaware of the location of any ice machines. After walking the 3 floors looking I had found 2 non-working machines. Reception went to the bar to provide a small bowl of ice. 5) Water pressure was virtually non-existent - the (slippery) shower pan had not been cleaned and because the curtain did not reach the floor, water was not contained. There were no shelves for convenience or Hand holds in the shower - very dangerous 6) Morning coffee was provided by only 2 Decaf packages - no regular 7) One of the bed's was off its wood frame & as a result, stuck out far enough to cause damage to the toe that was caught. 8) Front Desk had advised their staff that we had checked out (we had not) - we were terribly surprised when entrance was made at 9:30am 9) I sat on an (antique) couch in the lobby and promptly found out that there was no seat support. There was no indication that some furniture was not safe to sit on. It was evident that money had been put into making the hotel more attractive on the surface, but it could have been better spent in averting these kinds of reviews.

|0.25km from city centerOur third stop on our tour of the maritimes was the Hotel Halifax. It had a great location close to the pier and it was connected to the indoor walkway that connected to the mall, the ******, and other hotels and businesses downtown. This was very convenient on the day it rained during our stay! The rooms were very spacious and had very comfortable beds. No issues with hot water, air conditioning or internet. An unexpected bonus was having a water refill machine on each floor to fill up reusable water bottles. There was no breakfast included but the hotel was connected to the indoor food court at the mall and there were lots of restaurants nearby. At the hotel you can pay for parking at the indoor parking garage connected to the hotel, and it allowed in and out privileges. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommended to anyone wanting to stay in the waterfront area!

|4.73km from city centerOne of best Courtyard's in North America, as the hotel feels and looks new. Checkin was very quick and friendly. Treated this Bonvoy Titanium member very well. Room was spotless and a good size (2 queen beds) with very large HD TV. Excellent wifi speed. Bed was super comfortable and I got a goodnight sleep. Everything was in working order and I appreciated the hotel doing its part for the environment with eco-friendly refill toiletries in the bathroom. The only sit-down food and beverage option is Bistro. It's very limited in offerings and expensive ($6 for a bagel with cream cheese). You are better off going to Tim Horton's or one of the many other places just across the street including McDonald's, The Keg, Montana's, Jack Astor, Thai Express and Quiznos to name a few. Location is under 20 minutes from the airport which is super convenient. I would definitely return.

|0.42km from city centerWe stayed at the Cambridge Suites July 31 to Aug 6th, 2022! We drove down from Toronto to spend our first week of vacation in Halifax at this lovely hotel. The staff were absolutely amazing and very accommodating! We had a large Dodge Ram truck which would not fit in the underground parking, I had advised them of this a month prior via email and when we arrived at the hotel they had a reserved spot out front for our vehicle. The King Suite was beautiful with a view of the harbour, private bedroom, huge bathroom and living room with desk and bar area. The breakfast buffet was very good however during our entire stay they never had any breakfast meat (bacon, ham or sausages) they only had eggs and homefries and or pancakes. BUT they had many choices of bread, muffins, fruit, yogurt.....we were never hungry! After a really long day of sightseeing we decided to eat in the restaurant in the evening and the meal was quite enjoyable! They also have a Laundry facility in the Parking Garage. It was a hot, humid week and we were heading to PEI for our second week and didn't want to travel with additional laundy so I decided to use the facilities. They will make change for you at the front desk and provided free dryer sheets and laundry pods. Again awesome service! We enjoyed this hotel so much that we are actually heading back in August 2023. We decided to just book a regular room since we were sightseeing so much we only really used it to sleep in! We just can't get enough of Halifax's charms and this hotel is the perfect home base when you visit this beautiful city!

|1.27km from city centerI booked 3 nights for my bf and I to spend some time in Halifax over reading week. It is a good location however, the first night we heard something going through the garbage in the bathroom but when we checked we didn’t see anything. |0.55km from city centerWould rate the front desk staff a 8 out of 10 due to the lack of concern about one of the staff. Housekeeping very friendly and helpful and cleaned up when we only ask that our garbage been taken out. Room was very comfortable When the phone wasn't working one of the young front desk staff came up and took immediate charge and fixed the problem. We were looking forward to using the ”hot tub” but who ever is responsible for the hotel's web site should delete the hot tub picture s it hasn't been there, per front desk staff, at least 10 years. The fitness room only has 2 out of 4 of the stationary and Eliptical bike working. Gave up after mentioning it to the front desk staff on two occasions. Had a nice washroom with safety bars, but would suggest bringing a safety mat and there were no safety *****s in the tub. Surprisingly I found out the hotel did not have a liquor licemce so I had to go to another hotel for some ”brown pops' on New Year's eve.

|3.94km from city centerI stayed at Quality Inn Airport in Halifax on feb 14th; we were told it would be busy in the am as my flight was at 0800. The next morning, I was ready by 0530 to take shuttle for 5:45 but when I got downstairs, there was already close to 50ppl waiting for shuttle service. I was clearly not gonna make it to airport with the 2hrs suggested time of arrival. Quality Inn staff knew how many people required shuttle to the airport that morning and only allowed max 9ppl onboard. We were not offered to take a 2nd shuttle of any kind. I decided to pick up my car from parking (which was about 1km walk) and take it to airport, which I then had to pay for 1wk parking. No managment on site, no taxi or other mode of transportation. My suggestion is: don't count on shuttle to take you to the airport on time; have a second plan or don t stay there because it 's cheaper with free parking.
