The hotel is small, located near the adventist hospital. The location is quite strategic because it is close to shopping centers and malls. I booked a room with 1 large bed and 1 small bed. The area is sufficient, the bathroom is good, hot and cold water is smooth. In my opinion, the bathroom door is not good because the large gap in the door makes the closet material visible from the outside.

We had a pleasant three-day stay at this hotel. The hotel is in an excellent location, situated between two large malls with plenty of shops and restaurants and within a reasonable cab ride to both George Town and Batu Ferringhi. The room was quite spacious but a little bit dated and worn down. It could use a refresh. The bed was very comfortable, however, and the water pressure in the shower was excellent. We enjoyed using the beautiful infinity pool. Service was friendly and efficient. One area that could use improvement is the breakfast. Although there is a good variety of items offered, many just weren't very tasty. The best thing on the buffet was the homemade ice cream. Overall, this is a good place to stay when exploring the island of Penang.

I recently stayed at the Berjaya Hotel in Penang and found the experience to be a mix of comfort and inconvenience. The bed was notably comfortable, providing a good night's rest. However, my stay was marred by significant noise issues. It seemed like there was a lot of disturbance coming from the surrounding rooms, particularly when someone next door used water facilities. I suspect the main water compressor might be located near my room (2209), which contributed to the noise levels.The hotel, in general, shows signs of aging. While it maintains a classic charm, it would benefit greatly from refurbishment to enhance the overall guest experience. This update could really elevate the hotel to the standard one expects from a property in such a prime location.

Pros: spacious and suitable for big families. Kitchen is accommodated with lots of utilities and super nice view. Excellent wifi connection. 12 minutes walking distance to Gurney plaza. Cons: Check in process was very hassle. Trip.com didnt expose name or phone number of guest names. We ourselves had to get the contact number from the security guard upon arrival. The staff appeared at sharp 3pm to pass us the check in card and carpark. Booked 12 3A but ended up we got 8 3A on the same day. Cleanliness was 3/5 as we saw cockroach at living hall. Aircond at master room was dripping throughout the night and it really disturbed our sleep quality. When we called the pic, she informed that technician has repaired in the morning.

The Magazine Vista Hotel in Penang is more cost-effective. When choosing this hotel, I consulted for a long time, such as booking (more reviews, good or bad), Ctrip (only a simple review). Because it only opened in 2018, the hardware is very new, and the hygiene is good. I especially like to have a washing machine, but I have to find a place to dry the clothes indoors. The location of the apartment is very good. On the left is the GAMA supermarket, and on the right is the landmark of Everbright. Fruits and snacks have their own favorites! Call the front desk before arriving at the hotel, because the front desk is not here, so call in advance and the hotel will send staff to wait at the door. When you call, you need to speak English. There is a Chinese-speaking waiter. India borrowed ”Di Li” (transliteration)-Figure 6 this one. If you call him, you will have no difficulty in communication. He will come to collect a tax of MYR 10 per night, introduce room facilities, and even help you set up a taxi app on your phone. The network is poor and it can't be connected for a few days, so it is important to buy a local phone card. The hotel's location is acceptable, though it's not particularly close to the old town center. Regrettably, the Wi-Fi was nonfunctional throughout my stay. Despite reporting this issue to the receptionist, who insisted it was operational, I was even unable to receive messages on WhatsApp. The room, while somewhat compact, is manageable for a brief stay. An odd design choice is the air conditioning unit, which is positioned directly opposite the bed. This made it uncomfortable to use at night, as the airflow directly targeted the sleeping area.

First experience with capsule hotel bed and dormitory with 3 other lovely female travellers. Fortunately, it was an experience exceeding all expectations!! First WOW - look at all the cultural heritage, beautiful art, antique items and furniture, the Feng Shui Koi pond, water fountain, greenery! OMG- better than visiting a museum- you get to live and experience it!!! Second WOW- looking for street food? Walk around and you see stalls selling the local delish: SATAY, Lok Lok, Char Hor Fun and other stalls. Also, the handicraft stores with Batik and wooden sculptures! Other amenities : open swimming pool, 3 shower room next to it and hair dryer (tip: the water pressure and shower much more satisfying compared to bathtub or shower inside dorm room, and a game/ relax room filled with couch to wind down after a tiring day. and just Final WOW- the receptionist and staffs are helpful and well-informed! Guests were invited to join in the fun and you can see guests lounging in the open, relaxed and chatting with the staffs! Room for improvement: mosquitoes... can't seem to get rid of them ( so be prepared) and the places are considered clean... but not spotless. I hope this culturally rich building can be well maintained, and the places be properly upgraded even more as it succeeds as one of the most valuable hotel experience in Georgetown 🥰

The location is great. Breakfasts very good. Perfect pool to cool down (cold water, seriously), good choice. For me, the location and the swimming pool (because of my daughter) is ok. I recommend it. But: Zero wardrobes, cupboards etc. We had to keep everything in suitcases and there was not even a towel rack in the bathroom. It is much more important than an extra toothbrush, toothpaste, etc. Besides, calls from a nearby mosque are awakened. These are the details that irritate. And the pillows - high and hard. In addition, the hotel complies with the description and you can safely spend a few nights in it.

It started off rough. Got into the hotel early to leave our luggage and the guy manning the check in was cold, standoffish, and didn’t even bother replying to our pleasantries. When we returned, a misunderstanding ensured. Cos of my earlier encounter, I was just unreasonable. But thank goodness for Suhaila (I think) and her manager - they deescalated the situation with grace and aplomb. That bump aside, I had a lovely time. Was in room 213. Initially I was worried because I have read about noise issues coming from the club next door. But either the club was closed or the soundproofing worked, there were no disturbances. We slept like babies. The room was beautiful, and the location is amazing. This hotel is highly Recommended. Just don’t bother to pay extra for the breakfast. That was just too sad. We tried it on our last day in the hotel as we were leaving early for the airport. It was dismal.

This will be my first time experience stayed in Tido Penang Hostel and really like it. The room is quite cosy and comfortable. Each person got one big locker space with key, pillow and mattress, reading light, a plug, blanket and towel. Free WiFi at all floors and in dorm room too. The hostel consist of 5 floors, 1st to 4th floor comes with 5 rooms & 5 individual bathroom & WC. The lounge on 5th floor was big and had great 2 swinging egg chairs and plenty of space over looking the view of the city. There was also a computer if you need to use one. Every floor has a iron and board. The 5th floor comes with books/magazine cupboard, table bench & high chair, soft sofa, a fridge, refillable hot/cold water filter and a small kitchenette. Free breakfast is at 5th floor overlooking the city in the morning that comes with self service toast, 4 types of spread, biscuits, coffee, tea & filtered water. Every shared bathroom is clean and comes with rain shower hot/cold pressure power and shampoo/body wash. The 8 bedded bunk room is clean and spacious and look exactly the same in the booking website. Open air parking is next to Caltex petrol station. All in all, for a price that am paying, I am happy with my stay and highly recommending and suggested this place for those who want to explore Georgetown The service overall was excellent and the facility was fabulous. The location was in a quiet area and very convenient for eating out. Highly recommend Tido.. :)

Our stay at the blue mansion was amazing from start to finish. The staff were excellent and efficient. The room was great, with some nice touches like biscuits and sarongs to use by the pool. It’s worth noting the room had a fan and air conditioning which we didn’t expect from a historic residence. We were blown away by the hotel and would recommend it to anyone staying in Georgetown. It really added to our trip.

Yes, this is a budget Hotel. For around MYR 100 you get what you pay for. Great location, right in the action. Bars, Restaurants, hawker stalls, shops etc. Clean basic room, clean sheets, bed a little hard but still slept well. good A/C and shower facilities. There is hot and cold water 24/7 and a large balcony area with seating, overlooking the road where you can smoke vape and have a drink. Ironing station available. Only downside to this place is poor Wi-Fi. Could not get any internet in the reception area and definitely not in the rooms. Overall, an ok stay for a night or two. No problem recommending this Hotel.

The hotel location is strategically placed in central on George Town. Everything is so closed by walking distance. Hotel staff were friendly. The Chinese uncle at the parking area was friendly. He said is the Co-owner of the hotel. Thanks for assisting me getting the parking The room was clean and neat. Although the hotel is by the road side, the road noise were almost to none. The WiFi connection was okay. Was hoping could use a faster connection. But I used it when in hotel. Not much to complain about. Parking lots are limited if you are travelling in evening.
