I'm currently staying here and I can't believe how bad it is. Extended stay hotels have become nothing more than a bad version of Motel 6 with kitchens. This one location is difficult. Unfortunately it's the only bearable extended stay option in this Godforsaken place called Mobile al. An incredibly Awful place. A loud outdated exterior hotel. Beat up salvation army style furniture. Phones don't work worth a darn. Rooms are like jail cells. Old with poor paper machet type construction. Hard to get any rest or peace here! Poor sleep quality if you have to work odd hours- paper thin walls, no weather strip on doors so it's metal crashing onto metal- staying here is like being a rat in a metal cage with people hitting cage with lousville slugger bats. Moreover staff won't work with you on requests- they are the oppossite of accomdating - reasonable requests are generally met with a "nope - no can do" attitude. Too infexible. The rooms are old and dusyt- foul nasty carpets- old beat up mattresses that haven't been changed since the place opened. No security- and the hotel doesn't respond to either noise or nuisance complaints. The local area is bad- with lots of transients, miscreants and thugs circulating throughout the parking lot. I travel alot throughout southeast and have been staying at ESA's off and on for manyyears- I can honestly tell you that this location and others in Alabama are some of the worst run nastiest most uncomfortable hotels in the industry. As a company Extended stay america only cares about extracting the most money out of travelers for the least amount of input and quality. They have alot of hotels but most are beat up dogs like this one- it's quantity OVER quality with Extended stay. They do not respond or act on customer feedback. They are poorly managed at the district level and above. Avoid them if you have the money to stay elsewhere.

High cost performance, followed by a total stay in the United States, a chain of cost-effective hotels, often live, can be accepted, that is, a temporary stay, clean, simple breakfast but also can be full, with fruit and meat and juice is good.

The staff was friendly, the location convenient, and the room comfortable. None of the bad things in the other reviews happened to ME. The parking area was right by the room for easy transfer of my stuff to the room.

I was traveling for work with my semi. I had a weekend layover and needed a place to stay that had truck parking. This place fit the bill. Room was clean, bed was lumpy, cable TV selections were very poor, and as for the breakfast, not very attractive. However the value for the money I spent was good enough for me.

This hotel is Awesome. I have stayed with them for 8 weeks. The staff really do care about making you feel at home. I also left my college ring by mistake when I checked out. I called back immediately once I realized it. Front Desk Person Me. Sue, when to the room and retrieved it. Then Asst. General Manager Tiffani, made sure I got as she FedEx it to me next day. I was so appreciative of the way these two ladies helped me with that task. As, stated before I stayed with them for 8 weeks and nothing but great customer service all around.

The rooms were clean and roomy. The staff was professional, friendly, and helpful. My sincere appreciation to the Manager in handling our large group. We had to leave early a couple of mornings and the staff and Manager made breakfast for us before the normal time. They went out of their way to accommodate us. Thank you for your wonderful service and great breakfast buffet.

We stayed at the Mobile (150 W I-65 Service Road) location on 12/13/19. We had 2 rooms. We booked our rooms for the convenience of leaving our car on site & the shuttle to the cruise port. The stay was good. Our location was quiet, all went well. Here are a few issues we experienced. Upon checkin, my husband asked if we need to schedule the shuttle to the port or leave anything in our car. We were told No, nothing was needed. I believe this person was (GM), as those were the initials in our check in paperwork. I can describe her as an African American with a very strong accent who was very hard to understand. I knew this was not right (I've worked in a hotel for years). I went down later that night & the other lady actually took our names, room numbers & a time we needed the shuttle. She wrote that down. It seems the original lady (GM), was too lazy to get up to actually write our names down. Since there were 7 of us, we needed the shuttle scheduled to make it to the ship on time. Once returning to the port, following our cruise, we seen the shuttle sitting & inquired about a ride. The driver (skinny, tall guy) told us we were next, he would return. We waited for AN HOUR AND A HALF. We called the hotel twice. The first time we were told we were next, the 2nd time she told us there were several groups ahead of us!! After waiting for 1.5 hours, we paid $40 to get us all back to our car by Uber. This is unacceptable since I booked this hotel for the reason of having the shuttle. Not only did we pay for our return transportation, this put us 2 hours late for our 11 hour drive to return home.

This place was absolutely disgusting! Upon arrival there was a woman working behind the counter, talking with a man who was obviously on drugs with sores all over his face. She confirmed my reservation that I had booked online with Priceline. She informed me that she would have to collect a deposit for the remote for $10 in cash, I told her that was absurd, as I assured her that I didn't have a use for a remote but insist it be paid in cash. I took the key and went to find my room, I pulled along side the building and there were several individuals "hanging out" on the balcony smoking pot and drinking loudly. The room was on the upper level 3 doors down from that chaos. Upon opening the door, it was clearly not cleaned and looked as a scene of a party, broken lamps, no covers on the bed except a small throw and a pillow (I have photos because I couldn't believe it) empty and half empty 2 liters strewn about the room. Clothes and blankets wadded up in the chair. It was something I couldn't UNSEE- I went down to the office and showed her the pictures to which she said oh- it must not have been clean.... she gave me another room on the other side of the hotel away from the "party on the balcony" and upon opening that door- the tv was on, there was the comforter with no sheets on the bed just thrown on with burn holes everywhere and 1 dirty pillow. Again lampshades were missing (which makes me think of that stupid $10 in cash at the front desk). Needless to say, I got the hell out of there. I didn't stay there - I went down the street and HAPPILY paid much more to stay at the Marriott. Now I am struggling with both Priceline and America's Best Value Inn to GET MY MONEY BACK. This is the most HORRIBLE experience I have EVER had with online booking. Oh - they did tell Priceline that they will refund what I paid for the room minus the $10 because that was paid in cash. They said I could get that back IF I WOULD OF CAME BACK TO THE DESK TO GET IT - or I could stop by- but I live 12 1/2 hours away from that nasty place. So instead, I am sharing my experience with this hotel anywhere and everywhere that I can so others won't be duped by the photos that they post online as representation of the hotel.

I have never written a hotel review until now. We took an impromptu trip to Mobile to buy a truck and we were looking for an inexpensive place to stay. I will say my review is mixed. Front desk clerk was fantastic. Room was clean. Beds were super comfortable. Hotel staff was very friendly. Cons: animal turds right outside of our door (see pictures), no breakfast on Sunday...they advertise free breakfast but the only thing available was cereal, juice and coffee (at 8:00AM) We didn't miss it, it was never there. Heard another guest ask about eggs and sausage and the hotel employee said they didn't have any. I don't know about the other rooms but ALL we heard all night long was interstate traffic. None of the rooms face the interstate but we were at the end, closest to the road and it was LOUD. Like, have to turn on the a/c to try to drown out the road noise. Lots of random people walking up and down the service road in front of the hotel AND through the hotel parking lot.

I really enjoyed my time at the Hilton Garden Inn Mobile West. Their entire team were on the top of their game. The real test of leadership is how people handle crisis and tuff times. From the person at the front counter to those who delivered food to the room, it was excellent. I recommend this Hilton to you!

Best selection of items I have ever seen in a hotel lobby store. Most Hilton’s do not stock Coke Zero. This one had 2 flavors. Even during Covid-19 shutdown they still provided hot waffles and hot oatmeal for breakfast. All other hotels I stayed at had gone to grab and go bags. Exceptional management. It showed through the staff and the hotel.

We had a great stay at this tru location. We have stayed in hotels all over the world and have stayed in all kinds of rooms. My only complaint is that the floor seemed dirty (but didn’t look it). The amenities are high quality but care needs to be taken by staff to ensure they’re not empty. We found the reception warm and welcoming and the coffee excellent.

Yes, this is a great downtown location. The park is right across the street, many restaurants and bars within walking distance. My disappointment was the rooms were dirty, dusty, moldy smell. With the coronavirus spreading around the country I was surprised this hotel was cleaner, being a Hilton hotel at that!! I left with my allergies flaring from all the dust in the room, I had to wonder about bedding, but didn’t want to think about what might be lurking. This hotel needs to step up their maintenance and housekeeping department.

Absolutely fantastic staff and service! I thoroughly enjoyed my week stay here while our new apartment was being cleaned. The room was comfortable and clean! The lady that checked us in was the best part of our stay! She welcome my large dog and treated us like family. I would highly recommend this place for the price and service. The rooms have everything you need minus what you should have with you if you are staying in extended stay. The laundry room was clean and had credit card capability on each machine. If you need a place for short term but not very expensive I definitely would recommend staying here. We got to check out the room before we stayed and they will definitely treat you right. Just remember to keep your room key away from your phone or it will de magnetize and you will have to get it remade! The lady behind the front desk had mine replaced lightning fast and gave me an extra one for my partner. I wish I could give 5+ stars!

We were in town because our puppy needed surgery & this La Quinta was the closest to Arc Animal Clinic. Britney was very helpful as we were staying day by day not sure how long we would need to stay post surgery. She went above and beyond to make sure we didn’t lose our room by telling me they were almost sold out so I needed to book soon for that night. Every employee we met was very courteous and acknowledged us with a “hi” or a smile. I highly recommend this hotel, love that they are pet friendly. Due to Covid the typical breakfast wasn’t available but they had a large variety of granola bars, individually packaged cereal, yogurt as well as bread / muffins. Friday & Saturday they had individually packaged Jimmy Dean breakfast sandwiches & individually packaged mini cinnamon buns which I’d never seen before. It was a great stay!

First of all, Mobile is definitely worth visiting. There is plenty to do and the town has so much southern charm. We chose the Malaga Inn for its location which is perfect. Very walkable to sights and restaurants. The inn has a variety of rooms and many face the courtyard which is a pleasant place to sit and relax. The staff was congenial and helpful. However, here are some things that could be improved. The Wifi in our room was nonexistent even after the kind reception desk person tried to reset it. Housekeeping was a problem. When we arrived, we never received towels for about 2 hours. My husband took a shower only to discover there were no towels, so he had to drip dry the best he could. The next day after sightseeing we returned to our room and had clean towels (yea!) but the dirty glasses and coffee cups were still in the room. A continental breakfast which started at 7 was average, but the day we had to leave early for the airport, the breakfast room was not open at 7. And the bar, which was supposed to be open during our stay, was not staffed. I really wanted to love this place, but the problems made our stay a little disappointing. This inn has the potential to be so much more!

We stayed here for an overnight while on a road trip. Some of the rooms may be a little dated as some reviews have suggested, however overall we had an excellent stay. We had a nice corner room with a great view of the Bay and the port. Dining options were limited because of Covid, however when we arrived on a Sunday evening most restaurants near the hotel had already closed. We went to the hotel bar since they did have a limited food menu. What a nice surprise! The food was great and we were very satisfied. The bartender that evening was super nice and helpful as well. The following morning we went down to the same place for breakfast - and were surprised to see they had a full breakfast menu. The Marriott we had stayed in the previous evening in Texas only had a small continental breakfast available. Well - the breakfast was fantastic! Honestly they were the best grits I have ever eaten - and I am from the South! The server was so pleasant. I really enjoyed the meal. Thanks to everyone at the Hotel for a very nice stay!

This was a standard Fairfield. Room # 312 had a shower but no tub, the bathroom vent made so much noise when you turned the light on that it was disturbing. The room had a slightly musty smell, there was microwave, fridge, coffee service and so-so lighting. The bathroom was dark. By far the worst part of staying here was that the place was under renovation. The desk person assured us that we would not be able to hear noise on the third floor. WRONG! First thing in the morning there was hammering. Perhaps the desk clerk had never visited the third floor during the construction. Don't stay there until they are finished. Check it out first. We did not partake of the breakfast.
