This is really a Guest House, not sure what other rooms are like but the room we booked was the last one available. The shower, toilet and basin are screened off by a curtain. Excellent black out shutters though and decent bed. No reply from Reception, it seems one person does the cleaning, waiting, reception and bar. Location excellent and could be very quiet if the walls and floors were not so flimsy, could hear everything.... Guests say it is very clean, well take a look inside the toilet bowl and you will have a different opinion!

The parking is inadequate with poor signage. That which is on site is muddy and unmade up. The main car park is some 300 meters away, on the sand dunes. The check-in process is chaotic. On arrival we were told our room wasn't ready. We returned at 3.00 p.m. and by then there were forty plus people in reception trying to check in, many of whom must have been told their rooms weren't ready either, and they were sitting in the lounge and reception area with their luggage, waiting! A lot of ostentatious money has been spent on the common areas: lounge, bar and restaurant but the overall effect is dark and gloomy. Upstairs the lighting along the corridor is gloomy and the carpet is worn. It looked like milk had trickled down a number of the doors to rooms but hadn't been cleared up. Four days before we arrived someone from the hotel telephoned pushing the Valentine Menu for SATURDAY 15th February! When I said I didn't want it and would prefer the a la carte but I was told I would have to have the fixed menu. When we were seated the fixed menu was on the table but there was nothing on it that I wanted. It was very FIXED! When I asked the maitre'd if room service was available, I was offered the a la carte menu but only those items marked with a star! We were seated under one of the speakers. The music choice and volume were not conducive to a relaxing meal. I saw one couple ask to be moved to the other side of the restaurant. This hotel is disappointing and over-priced.

We were a group of 8 golfers on a very reasonable package deal which included the Chunnel, two rounds of golf, B&B at this hotel and parking in the hotel's underground garage a street away. Decor was modern. One couple had a regular sized room and bathroom (with bath) on the front of the building. The other three each had a very compact rooms (French 'pod like'). They were clean with comfy beds but no space to open a suitcase. Our wardrobe was a decent size. It's a pity that some of this space could not be used for the shower room as this was the smallest space for ablutions I had ever experienced. The walk in shower was great although water spilt onto the very small floor area. The toilet was in a very confined space. The strangest thing was the minute wash basin which was above the toilet cistern! the only way to use this was by straddling or kneeling on the toilet. I think even the cleaner must struggle in this confined space as the only place which was not clean was behind and at the side of the toilet. There was a good choice of cold breakfast, supplemented by hot boiled eggs. The reception staff were very friendly and helpful. The town is very interesting. The hotel's location was great for our group, with many bars and restaurants on adjacent streets. Overall, we had a great stay, which was excellent value for money but if I were to come to this hotel again I would not accept room 211 and would probably consider an upgrade to a larger room, and I would bring a kettle.

The apartment was clean, and comfortable. the apartment was well equipped. The kitchenette was modern and the user friendly. The heating was very welcome and at times could be very warm but each radiator has independent settings. The bathroom was clean and modern with a good shower over the bath. The toilet was separate and rather snug especially for my partner who is 6. 3" :) The only negative part of our stay was the pool being closed and not being informed as we tend to pick properties that have a pool as we like to swim regularly whilst on holiday. Make sure you empty your bin on leaving the property as you will be sent up to empty it before you have your deposit returned. This is fair enough but it would be good to have this clearly stated in the kitchenette to prevent staff being stroppy and making you feel like you are a naughty school child. If you are looking for a basic comfortable holiday apartment at a reasonable cost then this property will not disappoint.

I work for National Geographic, so have stayed in hotels in every corner of the world. What matters most is not the quality of the lamp fixtures or bathroom - though they are important too - but the human dimension. We arrived at Les Embruns tired and roadside after a couple of difficult days for my wife. I explained the situation to the manager, who immediately upgraded us to a lovely garden suite- a huge, light space with a wonderful king size bed and a shower about the size of my living room. The hotel is a pebble's throw from the beach and a short walk from the main thoroughfares where there is a plethora of restaurants and bars. Highly recommended!

We have just stayed in three top-end hotels on the trot, ending with the newly refurbished & reopened Westminster, & this was the best of them all. Having stayed here previously, when it’s charms were a little jaded, more Dowager Duchess than a Princess, I am pleased to say that it’s now straight-up proper royalty again. The refurb has retained all the charm whilst bringing it right up to date. The bedrooms & bathrooms are beautifully appointed, with exceptionally comfortable beds & super duvets. The service was absolutely on point right across the hotel, from the concierge on arrival, to the bar & restaurant team, via the spa. The pool & spa area is now superb, with the pool in particular having undergone a transformation. Sadly it was just one night as we had to return home to the Alps, but we will be back.

This was my second visit to the hotel, having stayed here previously in summer & really liked it. Wasn’t let down and was upgraded to a duplex room which was a treat. Room was comfy and well-appointed. A big draw is the swimming pool and staying in December (unlike in summer) we had this to ourselves. Staff are very welcoming and what I quite like is that, despite the size of the hotel, staff were expecting us and seemed to know which booking we were when we arrived (admittedly we arrived in the evening each time). They were also happy to speak in French or English (and being close to Calais, I’m grateful when staff don’t automatically speak in English). One thing that amused us - we’d heard there was a small Christmas market in Le Touquet so I asked if they could show me where on the map. We headed there & found we were a week early and the town was pretty quiet - maybe they hadn’t liked to tell us and disappoint! The hotel has great facilities (which we didn’t make the most of) and looks smart and welcoming on entry. (Rather stylish Christmas decorations). The only slight niggle is that I found the bed a bit hard this time, but knowing that my first stay was very comfortable, this wouldn’t put me off. It’s also great to be able to leave the car in the hotel parking to walk into Le Touquet and up to the beach (especially since it can be very busy at the beach in summer). Would be happy to return.

More of a motel than a hotel - but excellent value for money and just perfect for a short stay. Very easy to find. We booked 2 nights here and it was ideal. Just an hour's drive from Calais and less than 10 minutes from Le Touquet centre. Lovely English speaking receptionist, super comfy huge bed, very clean room. Large shower with plenty of hot water at all times. Adequate storage and we were not disturbed by hearing any other guests, although the place was pretty full. TV in the bedroom and free wifi with a good connection. Plenty of parking and literally 2 minutes' drive from 2 fantastic seafood restaurants - Les Pecheurs aux Etaples and Planete Ocean. No complaints, but having had the breakfast the first morning at 10 euros each I would say that it's not worth the money. Other than that it's a great little stopover for a few days.

After being shut for some 12 months for a complete renovation, we visited in November to celebrate a birthday. The revamped lobby, half way between this and the Ibis, next door, gives very modern aspect and the rooms have been updated. Quite whether it needed so much wood in strips, to give a sort of impression of a canopy over the bed, I am not sure. The results are quite pleasing. There is a very large TV and plenty of storage. The separate WC, is a bit of a squash if you are large, the bath/shower room are fine. The best rooms overlook the beach and the new double glazed windows cut out any noise and keep the room warm. The "dune" view rooms overlook the hotel car park, no big deal if you are only there for a day or so, and are reflected in a decent discount of the price. The restaurant has been very tastefully redecorated. The breakfasts have an excellent choice and dinners are enjoyable. The drop in the value of the pound has hit British visitors and has made this hotel relatively more expensive than in the past, but le Touquet is an appealing town, only 35 minutes from the tunnel and it is unique along this coast, and this hotel is bang on the beach. A couple of suggestions to management: please recreate the steps down to the beach proper, as walking along this ten mile beach is one of le Touquet pleasures, and the other thing is please make the bedroom beverage offer a bit broader, more teabags and more milk. Otherwise, bravo Accor, we have been visiting here over the last twenty years and I can't see us not returning

Booked to stay here on our last night in France after travelling up from Les Gets and Chamonix before heading home. On approach the front looks a bit unloved and in need of some light maintenance but the actual hotel is around the back of this building. Room was spacious and towards the back of the hotel. Nice and clean - a little outdated but as we said, we were only here for one night. Chap who runs the place did not speak any english and my french is terrible but we got there in there end. The hotel provides lovely food in the evening, which we all enjoyed. All home cooked and not too expensive. You had a choice of starters, main and desserts - all 3 items were around 19 euros. All very filling and tasty. Choices of beer, soft drinks and various wines as well. We ate here as there wasnowhere else to really eat unless you wanted to drive elsewhere. We did not stay for breakfast as we needed to head home on the Eurotunnel - to get there we were only 40 mins away. Lots of people in the dining room for breakfast. All in all a surprizing and pleasant stay.

A group of eight of us went to the Manor hotel and attached golf course. We played Le Mer golf course which was next door on the first day and stayed at the hotel that evening. The staff were lovely and extremely helpful. The hotel was clean an quiet. Breakfast was plentiful and a nice but limited choice. The second day we played the Le Foret course. The staff in the club house, which is linked to the hotel carry the friendly helpful manor. I would recommend it and hopefully we will go back again next year.

A simple but quiet hotel just outside of Cucq with a big garden that is accessable for the guests. With only 11 rooms it is never to crowded. The receptionist is friendly yet pragmatic. Siple but functional room, maybe a bit outdated and they could use a lick of paint. A very good bed (and I have a very bad back !! ) The bathroom is like the rest of the room : everything is there but a bit old. The only thing that's gets on you nerves is the satelite tv. It's impossible to watch a program since the signal is so bad. If you are to stay in this hotel, be sure to take the breakfast there !! For only 2,5€ you get a wonderful breakfast with fresh bread and more then enough meats and cheeses and sweets, fresh fruits, beverages, ..... It's a nice place to make some trips to the surrounding villages.
