0.07km from WafbustersThe building itself is a renovated Soviet Era hotel. Thanks God New management went ahead and renovated rooms and interior too. Staff at the reception are friendly and nice . Rooms are small but totally ok for a three star hotel. Large window in my room added some space. There were surprisingly many small amenities available - q tips , shoe wipes, two waters, slippers etc. breakfast was also ok. There is a hookah place right next to the hotel and a beer restaurant . The location of the hotel is within the city center. I would recommend this hotel for a short business trip.
0.24km from WafbustersWe stayed at this hotel for one night. It was a little difficult to find, but was a great experience. The entrance to the hotel is not on Sverdlova Street, but on Azina Street, which is the first right turn when walking in a southerly direction from the top of Sverdlova Street. at the top of Sverdlova Street, is the train monument. The number 27 will be seen on the wall, and as you walk into the small courtyard, you will see steps leading upstairs through a large window. with the word "Oteab" with three stars over it. Oteab is Russian for hotel. The door has a slight arched covering over it, and the unmistakable green trip advisor sticker. There is a intercom buzzer to the right of the door, where you can request entry from the front desk. Check in was quick and efficient. The room was clean and comfortable, and the wifi worked well. The receptionist did our laundry for a small fee, and while this was being done, we walked back to Sverdlova Street where there is a small supermarket, and stocked up on supplies. The only problem that we had was ordering breakfast, as we didn't understand a few of the options on the menu. Breakfast was served early and was perfect. The receptionist kept our bags at the front desk for no extra charge, so that we could explore the city until early afternoon. This was a great experience, and we would stay here again. it is very convenient for airport transportation, as the electric train (Koltsovo Express) has two trips a day to/from the airport. If the train schedule is not convenient, Bus # 1, which is a direct route to the airport, can be taken from in front of the railway station, and departs at least once hourly

0.82km from WafbustersThere isn't really anything to not like about this place (apart from the showers) but it's just a bit odd. Firstly it seems like people permanently live here? You come back from site seeing and the guy in the common area who was glued to the play station all morning is still there... so you have your meal while watching grand theft auto. In the meantime a mother is sitting next to you doing homework with her kids. It's just a very strange vibe like your in their home and it's a bit uncomfortable? This also means hostel etiquette doesn't work like people are constantly just in and out of rooms and being load while your trying to sleep. People seem to treat it like a home too just leaving cups all over the place and food out on the sides in the kitchen. One bowl of porridge had been sitting there for about 3 days (nice) The showers need to be improved as no matter what time I tried to shower they were always freezing and didn't drain very well. You often have to wait to use a toilet or a shower in the morning as there arnt enough for the amount of people staying. We waited to use the kitchen until later also as it was so busy first thing. Previous reviews mentioned breakfast but we weren't told/shown anything about it being included so just helped ourselves to coffee. The place is amazing in a clean sense within the rooms and the decorations are really cool. You can see lots of time has been spent on the decor perhaps at the expense of the practical necessities. For example a cheeky trip to IKEA for some cutlery, sheets that actually cover the whole bed and curtains that keep the light out would be a good start (pictured). You also don't get a key to lock your room if your in a dorm so it's just let open for people to wonder in and you have to rely on small lockers in the hall. Although we got told off when we handed our locker key back in as we should not have had it? Despite another member of staff handing it too us. Confusions like this and with bookings are probably due to the fact that there seems to be around 7 people working here and the communication clearly isn't very good. The staff are brilliant and really helpful. I would probably stay again for the money but as I keep saying it is a slightly odd one.
1.01km from WafbustersThe place was good and clean the staff are nice, and simple to sleep over, also very close to the metro station and the center of the City and the stadium. The were busy but they managed to give the room on time. And they allowed us to keep our luggage there even after the checkout. The Cafeteria staff were kind enough and the room was clean and quiet.
1.07km from WafbustersIf you are looking for a budget and quiet stay this is it. It is not near anything really. Its at the end of a quiet street. It is about 20 minutes with an uber and longer if you take a bus and good luck with that if you don't speak Russian. Hotel room is pretty small with a small bathroom but everything is clean. There is no air condition or fans which you might not need but again it would be nice to have. Service is decent. There is usually someone by the phone all day. To come in the hotel someone needs to buzz you in which is not convenient if you are coming in late because they have to wake up and let you in but I guess it is for your safety. They spoke little to no english so brush up on your Russian or have a google translator.

1.08km from WafbustersTravelling across Russia on the Trans- Siberian route, with luggage in tow we arrived at Yekaterinburg (one of my favourite cities) We came out of Central Station and turned hard right down the main road Ulitsa Chelyuskintsev. We walked on the right- hand side of this road for approx. 12 minutes and then past the most wonderful park with a pond, waterfall and gardens, and with a grand imposing Municipal Building behind. We took the opportunity to check on directions as we knew we were close, and found that Story Hostel was to the left of this grand building set back one block. It was a glorious stroll through the park every day . The hostel is just this side of the bridge across the Iset River and is in a very safe residential area. The commute from the station is not difficult with luggage. Our arrival was awkward as nobody spoke English at reception but we got through with a few basic hand gestures. Our twin room was spacious, clean and with two huge windows shedding lots of light. There was a dressing table, lamps, towels and lots of power points but the WiFi was tragic!!!!! We needed to reconnect every time we re-entered the building, every morning and every afternoon. You could set your watch by the reconnection hours. There are two shops within 5 minutes’ walk of the hostel for incidentals but no restaurants vaguely close, which wasn’t a problem. The hostel is roomy with a large kitchen and common room (with TV) and we did prepare breakfast there every morning. The staff were incredibly hospitable once we got to know them, it was just a language barrier at times that caused some problem. The bathrooms were very clean and reception was manned 24/7. There’s heaps of parking. There were lots of guests arriving for the World Cup from absolutely everywhere in the world, and the staff were extremely obliging and made each of them comfortable until their rooms were ready. We stored our luggage on the last day until our train departed and in general here, we had a satisfactory and very comfortable stay. We crossed the main road Ulitsa Chelyuskintsev in front of the park and kept walking straight ahead daily until we saw the Church on Blood (or Church of All Saints) belfry. This church is magnificent and is where the former imperial family were executed in 1918. The church became our landmark back to the hostel. From the church, we picked up the start of the Ekaterinburg Red Line Tour which is a “Do it Yourself “Tour through the whole of the city taking in ALL points of interest. It is truly worthwhile to download this tourist route and Yekaterinburg is an awesome city. It took us two days to complete the tour and it covers 35 of the best attractions over 5.5km. You can’t get lost as the red line is drawn on the asphalt and forms a complete circle around and through the city. We didn’t hurry the sights and stopped off for lunch each day, bought tickets to the Opera as we passed by the theatre and we loved all this tour had to offer. The enti

1.44km from WafbustersComfortable enough business hotel that met our needs but is not sleek. Stayed in larger size suite/family room with kitchenette which is sufficiently equipped to cook simple dishes. Room was clean although style felt dated, like your auntie’s living room decorated in 1999. Bathroom was simple and clean. Enclosed balcony is in principle nice to have but wasn’t inviting (uncomfortable furniture, no view). Access to hotel and rooms was awkward. Passing through weird double doors into office building lobby, up an elevator, into hotel lobby, then another set of doors to another elevator, one more door, finally the hallway leading to the room! All these doors, hallways, elevators are looking neutral like an average office building, nothing welcoming about them. Also note, old-style room key: an actual key with a big ‘attachment’ which is to be dropped off/picked up every time you leave and return. Breakfast was okay, good enough selection. Can get crowded at peak times. Restaurant itself is not inviting. Everybody walking through the lobby is staring right down on people’s plates. Furniture is pragmatic with no ambition of style, and not that comfortable. Certainly not an area one would want to hang out at or linger. Overall, okay hotel that checks all the boxes in a pragmatic no-frills way.
Hotels Near Ocean In Yekaterinburg Review
We stayed for two nights with colleagues on a business trip. Comfortable, modern hotel. The staff was polite and friendly. The hotel is located in the city centre and there are several restaurants around. The hotel restaurant can be recommended for dinner. Breakfast is good with different dishes.
Our stay was almost perfect up to the checkout time when we were billed a higher rate than the previously promised for the extra day we stayed. I know mistakes can happen, but the staff member at the checkout could not explain, solve or even apologise for this miscommunication, keeping repeating the price was the one he mentioned. Plus: no manager was available (Monday midday), so we just paid. Such a hotel has to have available at least one experienced employee able to articulate a conversation with a client and not only handle credit cards. Aside from this episode, the hotel is excellent. Awesome breakfast, delicious food in the restaurant as well. Helpful staff members. A sauna is also available. Excellent location, walking distance to the main attractions, opera house and restaurants. Our room was great, spacious, with a beautiful view. We had a lovely time in this hotel, with very good sleep quality. I would recommend this hotel to anyone going to Yekaterinburg.
Stayed here for an overnight layover. Very convenient access from the terminal after arriving in the wee hours of the morning on a delayed flight. Lovely lobby area and good rooms as well: reasonably-sized, bright, with a HUGE bathroom. Wifi was free and fast; no need to receive an SMS before being able to access the network. Breakfast the following morning was true Russian, which was a nice treat to be able to sample the local cuisine like pelmeni and various pancakes. Definitely a good choice for itineraries where you just want to get off the flight and crash in bed immediately.
Worst experience ever. Obviously, the management of the hotel does not make any training for the staff. Hotel Staff, absolutely has no idea of international standards of hospitality. How to answer the phone, how to answer guests requests, how to smooth guest unsatisfaction. Just zero of basic knowledge . I booked one night from 2.08-3.08.19 to have an unforgettable time with my friends before I fly away. Well, we had an unforgettable bad experience. I booked a king suite, the room with bedroom and living room as there 3 of us. However, the hotel charges us additional money for the third person. Even they are not providing any extra bed or anything. During our check-in, we were been informed that our room including breakfast. How awkward it was when we had our breakfast and hostess jump to our table to tell that room not included breakfast and they ll put it in our room bill. As per International standard when receptionist makes check-in he supposes to inform the guest what his booking includes and what excludes. If breakfast excluded receptionist has to inform how much is the breakfast and offer the guest to book if the guest wants it. Basic things in the hotel business. But not for this hotel. In the evening time, we requested for 3 glasses and got only 2. Instead of apologizing room service guy started arguing that we ordered only 2 . And replied: ”No I ll not bring anything now I am busy.” For all my experience I never heard such kind of answer to the guest in any hotel. Even third world countries hotels. Next day when we asked reception to arrange fresh robes as there is no way to dry robes after the spa facilities. The first response we got:” No.” The second one was: ”If you want to get a new robe you have to pay”. I believe the goal of anyone who providing hospitality service to make a good impression and make the guest to feel welcomed and happy. I hardly imagine wet robe and unrespectful response can make any gust happy. In the end manager, Daria arranged for our late check out and fresh towels and robes and fixed everything with breakfast. But it is just ridiculous that only one person in the hotel knows how to treat the guests. This is shameful to represent the city with such an ugly service.
Service: +++ Rooms: ++ Cleanliness: ++ Breakfast: ++ Location: + Price: + Wifi: very good We loved, but absolutely loved this place. Firstly, the staff is superb. Always ready to help, very patient and just wonderful. They arranged transfer from and to the railway station. We also booked a wonderful tour with them. Then the rooms, very boutique alike. Everything was clean and the hot shower was very appreciated. Absolutely wonderful. Location is great and the breakfast is amazing. A lot of choice and they even prepare some “fresh” things for you. Also very good plus, it is not that expensive hotel. Are you visiting Jekaterinenburg for work or for pleasure this is the place to stay.
ONEGIN WOULD BE EXTREMELY PROUD OF HIS YEKATERINBURG HOTEL (AND PUSHKIN WOULD BE EXTREMELY PROUD OF ONEGIN)! We are a Russian and American couple who enjoy and respect good hotels, good food, and good customer service. This was our first time to stay at Hotel Onegin located at Rozy Lyuksemburg St. 49 in Yekaterinburg, Russia and what a TRULY WONDERFUL TIME it was! This was also our first time to visit Yekaterinburg, Russia’s 4th largest city by population (approx. 1.5 million people) and 3rd largest city by economic parameters. We stayed at Hotel Onegin (which is quite centrally located) for 4 nights in November 2019 and paid 3,650 Rubles (57.13 USD) per night for the room, for a total of 14,600 Rubles (228.52 USD). Onegin currently offers a 15% discount (“PROMO15”). By our choice we did NOT include breakfast (535 RUR or 8.37 USD per person) but rather paid for it separately. After assessing by internet approx. 5 hotels in Yekaterinburg, our choice came down to selecting one of two hotels: either Hotel Onegin or Novotel. We then sent an email to the two hotels and received a prompt and positive response from Hotel Onegin, but we had to write again to Novotel to receive a response. In the final analysis, we selected Hotel Onegin because the hotel reflected better CUSTOMER SERVICE when it came to our specific requests/needs during our stay. Hotel ONEGIN is situated in the ONEGIN Business Center and starts on the 9th floor and ends on the 15th floor (where the ONEGIN restaurant is located). The following is what WE LIKED MOST about Hotel Onegin: (1) The HOTEL (in both public areas and in our room) is EXCEPTIONALLY CLEAN; (2) Our ROOM was exceptionally LARGE at 35 m2 (377 ft2), and it felt good to be in our room simply to relax (i.e., our room made us feel like we were in a “home away from home” and psychologically this is important, especially for longer stays); (3) The personnel at the RECEPTION desk on the 9th floor were always PROFESSIONAL, COURTEOUS, HOSPITABLE, and HELPFUL; (4) The BREAKFAST (6:30 am - 10:30 am Monday through Friday; 7 am – 11 am Saturday and Sunday) was DELICIOUS, WELL ORGANIZED, and had a LARGE SELECTION of FOOD and DRINKS (see details below). The breakfast is served on the 15th floor in the panoramic ONEGIN restaurant – the restaurant is ELEGANT, has a WHITE DECOR, and has a NICE CITY VIEW. We very much liked that the tables in the restaurant were NOT “on top of each other”, i.e., there was sufficient space between the tables to promote a certain feeling of PRIVACY. We counted 15 tables in the restaurant (13 tables for 4 people, 1 table for 6 people, and 1 large and beautiful round table for 10 people) - of course, since the restaurant is large (capacity 120 people) it is evident to us that the number of tables and chairs can be increased and/or configured differently depending upon guest and party needs. The restaurant and kitchen personnel are PROFESSIONAL, HELPFUL, and F
