Clean rooms nicely decorated with antique furniture. Further away from city center on main street, so it＇s a bit quieter but still easily accessible. The cafe downstairs is nice too. Overall a bit pricey, but I was also staying during peak season. Had a weird check-in experience where they seemed surprised by my arrival and asked when I booked my room (a whole month earlier) and then made me wait almost half an hour before showing me to my room, even though I had arrived well after check-in time. They also seemed to be preparing a room downstairs, even though I had booked a deluxe (their website says all deluxe rooms are located upstairs). When I asked about it, I was told all the upstairs rooms were full so they were preparing me another room. After I insisted on a deluxe room upstairs, someone else stepped in and said my room was, magically, now ready. Still, the hotel staff were always polite and ready to answer questions, but note that they don＇t help with booking tours or buses.

I spent 5 very pleasant nights here recently. The location is ideal, on the main street (temples, Royal Palace, restaurants and boutiques). I received a very warm welcome from the cheerful and friendly staff and my upstairs room was very quiet, spacious, clean and comfortable. There was a great view of the river and the mountains. There's no breakfast on site but they provide guests with a coupon for a very high-quality complimentary breakfast at the luxury 3 Nagas Hotel which is about 200m from the View Pavilion. I'm really happy I chose this hotel again, and would happily stay here again if I was coming back to Luang Prabang.

The hotel is relatively new, with complete facilities and plenty of hot water. The environment is very good, very suitable for lying down and relaxing. The service is also very enthusiastic. The location is very close to Xiangtong Temple, which can be reached in 5 minutes on foot. In the morning, you can make alms, turn left and walk through the temple in 2 minutes. It was comfortable with a calm atmosphere because it was conveniently located and away from the main street. I stayed in another area, but I felt that this area had few mosquitoes. We requested and got it through the second floor of the corner room of the annex, but the terrace here was comfortable, and it was good to slow down while watching the life scenery of the neighborhood in one hand at noon. In the morning, you can also visit the bowl from this terrace. The size of the room with luxurious use of trees and stones is sufficient. I think it's only this room, but there is no partition in the shower room, and I use it to make sure that the water doesn't jump to take a bath. It may be for couples or accustomed couples. The hot water was too hot and came out firmly so difficult to adjust. Staff is also English OK. polite and friendly. Breakfast is American style, not buffet. He gave me a naive but polite service. Check In Date : 26th August 2022. Check Out Date : 28th August 2022. Room : 07. Location : The villa is located right in the heart of the historic old town Luang Prabang. It is basically located at the very centre of LP peninsula. It is not facing the main road (which is good) but it is located just 45 secs walk from the main road. Just next to the villa, there is a very simple and compact grocery store. within 5 mins, there are cafes, souvenir shops, pharmacy and also very near to the 2 rivers that made up the LP peninsula. Going down the hill, there is the mighty river Mekong, which is very beautiful during sunset. Going uphill which is not steep, there is Nam Khan River. Within 10-15 mins walks, I can reach the Royal Palace, Phousi Hill, Night Market and the morning market. The location is SUPER PERFECT. Reception and Service : We arrived at the city around 9.20am. 26th August 2022 which is a blessing. We didnt know that there is Boat Racing Festival, the city is basically dead congested. The tuktuk driver dopped us at Dara Market and we had to walk all the way to the hotel (3km) with 7kg rucksack on our back. We reached the hotel around 10am. To our surprise, we were told that our room is ready and voila, the reception guy let us go in the room 4 hours early with ZERO charge. The recep made a lot of suggestion and had plenty of topics to talk to us. He suggested us to visit the Boat Racing Festival because it is the last day. So we followed his advice and we got to celebrate it like a local. The festival itself is amazing. The recep always helpful to us and always smile. We feel really welcome. We always get a massive greet whenever we come back to the villa. Room : I remember specifically that I book a deluxe room but we got a triple room. That free upgrade came with ZERO costs to our wallet. The room is spacious. The AC is cold. The fridge is working well. The bathroom is massive, and hot water working perfectly. The mattress is soft and despite the wooden exterior, I felt quiet whenever we enter the room. However, there is no elevator provided. Disable people might have to contact the villa if you want to book so you can request for lower room specifically. And since LP is such a charming little town, most of the hotels in the city are also 2 stories with no elevator for sure. I love the room and the cleanliness. Facility : As per said, there are no elevator and the upper room isnt accessible to people with disability. There is a small front yard where tourists can park motorcycle. Breakfast : People choose breakfast from the menu provided. We only get to try the breakfast once because the second day, we went to Tad Sae around 7am. The noodle soup is delicious and we love the fruit plate. The eating area is small, good for chatting with other travelers. But it is simply kept clean at all time. Sleep Quality : 9.9/10. Well maintained boutique hotel across the street from the Namkhan River, with a delicious free breakfast. The fruit: mango, banana, pineapple, papaya was the best I have had Anywhere. There is a really sweet family of 4 managing the place. The mom speaks pretty good English, the dad not much, and the kids, one teenager and a 5-6 year old also help out and are really sweet, to guests and to each other, so a warm family atmosphere. Highly recommend. One thing you will notice in Luang Prapang is you will walk slower. You will just s-l-o-w d-o-w-n. I have heard LP described as Chiang Mai 20 years ago. Relaxing, but also see the UXO museum. Sobering.

I used the railroad from Vientiane to Luang Prabang for two nights and traveling alone. You can see Dhutanga in front of the hotel. It's a place away from the main street, but it's quiet and comfortable ＆ You can spend it safely. When I asked for a tour to Quanxi Falls the night before, he arranged it immediately. I had card payment NG information before, but it has been improved and cards can be used. It's a compact hotel, but the staff will do their best to follow you on your trip, so you won't have any trouble staying. We recommend using this when visiting Luang Prabang.

Staying at this resort is the last stop of the Lao trip. I spent a very memorable two nights. We prefer it here compared to the hotel in the town. Room equipment: We live in a tent by the river. Pay attention to the zipper to prevent mosquitoes in and out, except for toothbrushes to the front desk. No phone, all contact depends on the resort's own app, other facilities are complete. Activities experience: Pay during your stay to experience kayaking, sunset cruises and massages. The kayaking experience is great, the guide is very professional and the scenery is beautiful along the way, a total of two hours, the price is 25$/person (excluding service fee); The sunset cruise is a long-tailed boat with guides and boatmen. There are no other tourists. The scenery along the way is quiet and beautiful, about 45 minutes, 18$/person, including a cocktail. We also experienced a boat by the Mekong River for 42$/person, which is different compared to each other. Dining: Vegetables are farmed by themselves, the price is reasonable, the taste is very good, Western and local cuisines are beyond expectations. Travel: The resort is close to the airport, ten minutes drive from the town, 20 minutes drive from the train station, there is a free tutu car transfer, the shift is not too much, there are also motorcycles to rent (of course the price is much higher than the town). I stayed for 3 nights in a newly renovated triple room. Spacious and best bathroom facilities. Good value for money. Better hotel than the picture! ㅎㅎㅎ If you book for 3 nights or more, you will receive several coupons. Quang City Waterfall Tour (free for 50,000 people), 1 hour free massage, 1 free saffron coffee. No breakfast, so I went to the nearby breakfast market and ate rice porridge and noodles. Big noodle shop is very delicious in the morning market. After 35,000 servings, you can have breakfast at the nearby Myrao Home Garden, which is so cold in December morning that we don't recommend eating at the garden.

What a find! Away from the main street although easily walkable to the night market and bars and restaurants. Carefully prepared breakfasts which we both enjoyed. Rooms are large and individually decorated, cleaned daily. Really loved the beautiful decor. Service was excellent. Any query was answered fully and suggestions for activities and restaurants given if and when required. There was a lovely pool area with beds and chairs too. All in all I would thoroughly recommend this boutique hotel for families or couples.

The room was okay, quite big, and barely clean! The front desk can communicate in Chinese and is run by a Chinese. It mainly takes in Chinese tour groups! The B&B is quite far from the old town, just on the roadside. It is very noisy, especially when large-displacement motorcycles pass by, as if they are driving on my head. It is impossible to sleep. There are still cars passing by at 3 o'clock in the evening! There was no hot water in the room on the first day, so I couldn't take a shower! The next day I changed to a room closer to the inside. The noise was reduced by 70%. It was still quite noisy. There was hot water, but the air conditioner was noisy again, and the mattress was deformed and made it difficult to sleep on. The price was not worth it!

The guest house is well located a block back from the river and a few blocks from the night market (less than 10 mins walk). It’s in a quiet back street so no traffic noise. It’s all dark wood so a little squeaky as you move around and there is some noise from neighbouring rooms. The room was small with a balcony alongside your neighbours, that can be a downside if like us your neighbours have 4 little kids. All was very clean and the hot water worked ok. There’s a nice communal balcony with free coffee and use of a fridge. We slept okay but the mattress was quite uncomfortable. In the morning you can hear drumming from a nearby monastery at first light and also Alan starts shouting about 4am. Who’s Alan? He’s the talking cat. Very amusing during the day, but less so in the middle of the night! We stayed 4 nights and were happy enough but I felt it was a little expensive by Laos standards. We paid £23 per night and I’d say a fiver less would be more appropriate.

Stayed here as a group of 3 while in Luang Prabang. What an awesome location! Rooms and bathroom were super clean; we had originally booked a “family suite” but ended up with 2 separate rooms at a lower cost so we definitely couldn’t complain! Location was great, within walking distance to everything and the staff was warm and welcoming. We LOVE LP and this was a great guesthouse to stay in, definitely will be back one day!

I could not have been more happy with my stay. A peaceful oasis located a very short distance from the night market and other amazing attractions. The breakfasts were fantastic. Fresh fruits, juices, Lao coffee, vegatables, eggs, breads (and more) every morning. The staff made me feel very comfortable. Always greeting me with respect and huge smiles. I traveled from Vientiane, Vangrong to Luang Prabang. I couldn't give good reviews to the hotels in the first two places, but I gave a thumbs up to this hotel. The decoration style is full of Southeast Asian style, and the floor tiles and lighting all reveal the store's care. The garden is lush and green. The best thing is its breakfast and afternoon tea. The jams and juices are all made in-house, so there is no need to worry about additives. The location is very convenient. It only takes two minutes to walk to the Mekong River and 5 to 10 minutes to walk to the Foreigner Street. There are scenery on the way to wherever you go. The free bicycles accompanied us through two happy days. I will continue to stay here next time.

I spend 300 nights a year in hotels, and I try to write reviews that allow readers to have accurate expectations of hotels. Golden Lotus is a fine option, but you need to know that it’s a family guesthouse ( think hostel with private bathroom ), more than a boutique hotel. The location is excellent if one wishes to be in the city center. The breakfast is adequate, albeit, a bit on the spartan side - not buffet style. I found that the property was a bit noisy, especially in the morning and evening, merely because of its setup - it’s a bunch of rooms in a house. The family that runs the place is very friendly. There is no hot water from the bathroom tap. They charge an additional 3% if you pay with credit card. If you are aware in advance that this is a humble guesthouse, then, I think you will be fine. I was a bit underwhelmed with the facilities and the breakfast, because I thought it was a boutique property. Overall, it is adequate, but nothing special. But the location is great, as is the family running it.

I cannot express enough gratitude for the Sofitel team in Luang Prabang for creating such a warm, welcoming and accommodating stay. Across all departments, the staff went above and beyond, and collectively set a new standard for Service. Most notably Vard, Leng, Mr. Kao and Youth at the front desk, Mr. Umni, Keili and Souk from F&B and Mr. Anshul Sharma, the hotel Manager, who has done an exceptional job at leading the team and making the Sofitel, Luang Prabang a must stay haven in South East Asia. The hotel grounds were picturesque and serene, the rooms tastefully designed with ample space to luxuriate, the food (particularly breakfast) at Governors Grill delicious and fresh. But above all, the service was unlike any hotel I have stayed. From remembering the small details of our personal preferences, to recommending the best activities and experiences, to assisting with a medical emergency - my partner and I felt truly cared for. I am deeply grateful for such a beautiful and memorable Christmas and New Year, and we already look forward to our return!

This is a family owned and operated guest house. The owner's name is Touy. This owner is a very kind and caring and unbelievably generous and unbelievably considerate person. I work online as an esl teacher. And they were so kind that they even allowed me to connect my Computer directly to their router which helped me tremendously since my income depends on my internet connection. I I would also love to mention that the younger brother of the owner who I must say was also extremely helpful and always kind and considerate to consistently ask and assure that I Always had everything that I needed at any given time, I and I mean 24 hours 7 days a week. I go honestly never write reviews. But I could not allow myself to leave this wonderful place without at least giving the common courtesy to mention how truly enjoyable my experience has been at Silikhane guest house in luang prabang Laos.

The location is ok, but the hotel near the street of the Mekong River is better. The room itself has no windows, the bed is soft and clean. The bread for breakfast is simply not delicious. However, Ctrip’s booking price does not include a $10 city tax. Pay attention to this reservation.

Spacious rooms with very comfortable beds and nice bathrooms The breakfast options are wonderful and provide energy to start your day. All the staff are super friendly and helpful. I would totally recommend this place for a few nights in Luang Prabang as it's close to all the attractions, especially with the night markets around the corner. Owners were super accommodating and helped with transport and luggage.

Very nice little hotel and very well located in the old quarter. In a small street not far from the morning food market. Very very pleasant, helpful, accommodating welcome from Lou who manages your reservations (scooter, bus, train etc. The rooms are simple but large enough, air conditioning, large firm mattress bed. Clean bathroom. Breakfast is at the outside 100 m there also very warm welcome even if the lady is shy. Possibility of having your clothes washed. It's very good value for money. This is my second visit after visiting with my family about a month ago. I remembered the warm experience I had at this hotel last time, so I came back again. There must be many guests coming in and out of the hotel, and I was touched that everyone I met recognized me and said “Welcome back.” I am very grateful to Yong, Lith, Muhn, Mone, and the two female hoteliers who were in charge of dinner on 5/25 for their hospitality. (I should have asked everyone's names, but it's too bad I didn't.) And the information about becoming a monk during the morning Takbat. I am also sincerely grateful to the male hotelier who kindly and in detail explained about the Ina Lao people. I think I will visit Laos again on my last trip before returning to my home country because of the warm memories I had in Avani. I look forward to seeing you again.

Every year we come to Luang Prabang for vacation with our family 🧚‍♀️We all live in this homestay inn, because it is convenient ☺️It is in the center of the ancient city of Luang Prabang, and beside the Mekong River, I feel so comfortable. It’s 50 meters to the left of the house in the morning. The Old Palace Museum. Opposite the Palace is Mount Phou Si, and about 300 meters on the right is Xiantong Temple. The boss is very enthusiastic, and he helped us call a car to Guangxi Waterfall, and the car will pick you up! The inn has a kitchen, because we are regular customers, and the owner provides us with a kitchen. I am not used to Lao food. I feel like I have found home. It is the architectural style of Laos.
