+/+ A Superior Double room is spacious and has a good Kingsize bed. Airconditioning was working. Large and good shower. Friendly personnel and staff. The buffet menu has several Indian dishes, some very tasty, and there is each day a different menu. The A la Carte menu is also recommended. Good and tasty food can be found on this menu as well. -/- Initial reservation not properly communicated/relayed via Booking, that NO Suite was available! If NO Suite available, then don't advertise with it! Now I had to accept a Superior Double Room, since nothing else possible nor available elsewhere. First room offered was not proper cleaned, sink in the bathroom was leaking and the safety locker closed/locked. Found some dirty stains on the bedsheet. Dirty bathmat in front of the shower, lime scale all over. Second room much better, but still lacking on proper cleaniness at some spots and also here lime scale all over and same issue on the safety locker was closed/locked also. 3rd day, the housekeeping even wanted to turn the bedsheet upside down as "daily housekeeping", but fortunate I was present to see this action and ordered for clean sheets and pillow covers straight away! Outrageous perfor***ce.... Later in the week it happened again, so I de***ded for full fresh/new bedsheets again! Which was rectified immediately as well 1x AC220V plug in the wall was broken/not able to be used. Noticed ***y times an annoying & zooming noise from the aircondionting in the room and hotel airco units on the hotel roof. Airco in the room needs to be cleaned as weel, since smelling when turning on (stops when you take your card from the power control, when you leave the room). Restaurant did not serve the buffet on Saturday due to a party in the basement..., however the A la carte menu was available though. There almost everyday the tv was switched on and next to the radio was playing, mobile phones ringing or people just making loud conversations: A mix of loud noise, you cannot 'enjoy' your breakfast in peace! And too ***y waiter/waitresses doing nothing.... There's plenty to clean and not only/just the tables. And seeyiing through the kitchen window a cook picking rice from a pan with his hand and put it in his mouth, does not give me a good feeling, about the right hygiene is used in the kitchen. Breakfast is not international orientated, no cold cuts or cheese nor cup of jam available. No FREE international tv-channels available, ALL available English channels (Movies, Entertainment & Sports) are under decoder & payment required. Reception explained, that this only can be arranged once a month, on the 1st of the month (???). Poor/slow overall WiFi internet signal throughout the hotel. Several times a total power failure occured and occassionally no hot water (shower/sink) in the room.

Hotel Shiv Grand has a nice heart - means the employees are nice and courteous. For me, this is one of the most important ingredients of a good staying experience. The location is very good with ATMs and restaurants nearby. The food is a little too pricey, but the taste and quality is quite good. There are a variety of room types and tariffs to choose from. I found the Club Traveller and Executive Deluxe rooms quite spacious and well maintained.

Lake Palace floating in the middle of Lake Pichola is a classic image of Udaipur. This historic building is no longer a royal palace but a hotel. LP calls it a world-renowned hotel. This may be an overstatement. But the first time I saw it in a magazine in white years ago, I remembered it.         Looking at the palace in the water from different angles by the lake will make people curious, especially in the beautiful light of sunrise and sunset. So the next night, I boarded the lake palace from a special dock near the lake. There are yachts on Lake Pichola, but they are only open during the day. It is a rare opportunity to take a boat at night, especially looking at the lights reflected on the water of the city palace and lake palace. The moment is really beautiful, and sitting Boat to the hotel in the middle of the lake is even more special experience.         From landing to entering the hotel lobby, there will be several staff to guide, welcome speech, take luggage, order cinnabar, hand towels and welcome drinks, and so on. The division of labor is clear. These are the standard procedures for this type of hotel. The welcome petals were sprinkled from the upstairs terrace. No one was visible in the darkness, and there was a feeling of falling from the sky. After Check in, my sister in Sari took me to the room. The hotel is large, and my room is on the other side. I followed her along the way to observe her gait. I have to say that Indian women walking in sari are really swaying.         In addition to its special location and history as a palace, one of the reasons for this hotel's famousness may have appeared on the big screen as the scene of "Octopus" in the 007 series of 1983 films. However, I don't have much impression of this movie, and the look from the lobby to the room has made me a little disappointed. It is not as magnificent as I thought, and there is a trace of oldness. The hotel upgraded the room type for me free of charge. The view from the lake view room was very good.         I got up early the next morning, opened the curtains, and there was already light on the lake outside. Looking up from the hotel, the slightly cool air is very fresh, and the city and lake in the morning light are quiet and dreamy, making people feel refreshed. After watching the morning scenery, I walked around. There is no second guest who wakes up early in the large hotel, which gives me a kind of exclusive joy. The pure white hotel looks noble and elegant, and the garden is exquisite, but I still think it is overly praised in all travel guides.         Had lunch at the hotel before check out, and luckily chose the best location. Looking out of the pavilion, the city palace on the opposite side looks like gold-plated in the sun. Pigeons glide across the sparkling water, and the dinghies that transport guests from time to time shuttle on the lake. Maybe hundreds of years ago, the princes were here, and they looked at the beautiful city they created with satisfaction.

This is the most cost-effective hotel I have ever stayed in. Both the environment and the service are top-notch. It turned out that we made the wrong booking when we made the reservation. One of them became a double room. The hotel staff communicated with us and directly changed the double bed to a double bed. The hotel is more beautiful than the attractions, and more beautiful.

The hotel that is really in the city palace complex needs to use the hotel's pass card to enter and exit the gate of the palace complex. The lobby, restaurant and bar are the main building of the hotel. However, it is slightly shabby, and the corners of the old facilities have mold spots and poor sound insulation. In short, it is like a small building that was previously occupied by people. Breakfast can be ordered a la carte, and the recommended leg of lamb for dinner is delicious. It is full of butter, and it is a real candlelight dinner ~

We stayed at the suite rooms of the hotel and they were huge. Clean, and with a beautiful view. Every staff member was very polite and kind, even after we had a number of requests, the services were quick. The checkin was hassle free and they were already ready with the formalities even before we reached the reception. A staff named Divij took us to our room and recommended us some touring options. He was very helpful throughout our stay and even my parents found him very polite and professional. The stay was one of the best stays and it is a must visit property.

Though the approach road is not great, once you enter the gates, the drive up to the reception changes the perception. The reception lounge is impressive. We had booked a Deluxe room but upgraded ourselves to a Premier room. The decision to upgrade was the view, which was far better from the Deluxe room. The property is pretty big with lovely landscaping. The room was quite spacious and had a big balcony. A flight of stairs takes you to the terrace with a 360 degree view of Udaipur. One can enjoy the sunset as well as a view of illuminated Udaipur. The breakfast spread was pretty good with some live counters. The food was quite tasty too. However, it has only one restaurant and thus sometimes you may have to wait to get a table - be it for breakfast or dinner. The staff is very helpful and cordial. The chef takes personal care if you have any special requirements. In the evening, there were some Rajasthani cultural programs by the poolside. Quite entertaining hour I must say. They have a spa with a temperature controlled swimming pool (other than the mail pool). They are quite relaxing. Overall we enjoyed a lot... However, there are some improvement areas as well. In our room, the WC and the bathtub was not very clean. We stayed for 3 nights but no action was taken despite complaints. The flush of the toilet was also malfunctioning. During room cleaning, they forgot to put towels. Though they were quickly provided when we complained about it in the evening (but not expected from a hotel like Ramada).

The whole marble building is quite exquisite, and the room is not very large. If I am used to a large room, I may not be too comfortable. I personally feel good. The view from the rooftop restaurant is the biggest highlight. The food in the restaurant is in line with Chinese tastes. It is much better than the five-star hotels in Delhi and the price is reasonable. Watching the sunset here is the best! The clerk speaks good English and communication is not hindered.

There is a peculiar majestic feel in the hotel. Location is very convenient and central to most tourist places. The rooms are very spacious and bedding is very comfortable. They have a restaurant which has some good buffet breakfast selection. Service is good, especially one particular waiter, Mohan Singh, who was extra hospitable with us. We were a group of four families with grand-parents to grand-children in the group. Even though all of us did not show up at the same time for breakfast, Mohan Singh would update us on whether the children ate well or not. That needs some memory, I would say. Have put Mohan Singh's photo for extra credit. The hotel should reward him for his services. Two things the hotel should improve on: 1) Bathrooms definitely need an upgrade. They are dated compared to the room decor. They have low lighting, loose/broken toilet seat, uncomfortable tub. 2) The restaurant bar plays very loud music which can be heard in all the rooms. Who thought of this idea? They stop at 10 pm or so, but am sure is still a nuisance till then for ***y. I subtracted two stars due to these reasons, but gave them an extra one since they have Mohan Singh on duty tallying to four stars.

Stayed here at golden tulip Udaipur for 3 days in Dec 2019. We were a group of 16 people (10 adults and 6 children) and we stayed in 5 different rooms at Golden Tulip The positives: 1) Check-in process was a breeze. Though some of us arrived a couple of hours prior to the check-in time, the staff (I would like to call out Mr A*** from the front desk team) helped us secure the rooms so that we could all settle down before stepping out for sightseeing. 2) The service personnel were very friendly and helped us with suggestions for dinner at the hotel's restaurant 3) The food here at the restaurant was good. We had ala carte menu on one day and buffet dinner on the other day. One of the evenings they had the Ghazals program/live perfor***ce at the restaurant and it very enjoyable. Also, we found the breakfast to be good 4) The reception area and other public areas in the ground floor of the hotel were spacious and well maintained Now, coming to the "not-so-positives": 1) Rooms and toilets/bathrooms need renovation/refurbishment. Certainly, "look old" 2) The central air conditioning/heating does not seem to work consistently in all rooms. For example - of he five rooms we reserved, in two of the rooms the temperature was very cold where as we had very warm temperature in the other rooms. We had to talk to the people at reception multiple times to get the temperature fixed every day. 3) Location of the hotel - a little away from the key attractions of Udaipur All in all - an "OKAY" experience.

Stayed for 3 days, lake view room Advantages: near the lake, with independent yard, relatively safe, you can see the lake view Disadvantages: The service is very good on the surface. It is very nice. It cannot be executed on the ground. There are unwashed blood stains on the bed and Xiaoqiang is crawling. As soon as I entered the first room, I found that the light was broken and it kept flashing, and the switch was also faulty. The visitor didn't fix his breath, communicated 3 times, and changed the room. I was very enthusiastic to help with the luggage, but the body odor in the second room was obvious. I opened the window and it took a long time to ventilate. Every time I cleaned and replaced, I was short of things. I had to call for it, but it would be delivered soon. The original mineral water in the hotel is a pink brand called Java. It is recommended not to drink it. When it is boiled, it is full of suspended scales. It is fine if you buy it outside. Check out on the last day. It is 11 o'clock when the reservation is made. The hotel phone reminder is 10:30, and the delay is up to 11:30. The attitude is rather blunt. Looking at the hotel for 7000 rupees a night, the difference between hygiene and details is too big, but the hardware is OK

The most comfortable area in Udaipur is undoubtedly around Lake Pichola. I chose the most beautiful hotel with lake view from the website. It arrived at 5pm. The waiter led me across the courtyard to the room. This white hotel and beautiful decoration everywhere made me overjoyed. But the bigger surprise is still behind. The roof of the hotel is a huge platform with a swimming pool, a tea table and a dining table. Looking out is a beautiful lake view, and my room is arranged on the top floor, which means that I It is very convenient to enjoy the most beautiful scenery of Udaipur.         This Jagat Niwas Palace Hotel is also transformed from Haveli. It is white and white, which highlights the characteristics of White City. Many palaces and houses in the lake are also painted white, although they are not so unified. . Against the backdrop of Yingying Bibo, the freshness and romance of Baicheng suddenly emanated.         The colors of the evening, the scenery of the lakeside, and the freshness of the hotel swept away the impression of "dirty mess" in India for the past few days. I didn't step out of the hotel's door until check out the next day, just sitting On the cushions by the window, eating dinner and breakfast in a daze against the beautiful lake view, then wandering around in a hotel that is not too big to see the carved wooden furniture and the beautiful decorations in the niches. This trip suddenly switched to vacation mode, and the charm of Baicheng is actually in this slowly passing away time.

Hotel courtyard environment is good, with garden and swimming pool, but the room equipment, bedding is really old. The restaurant service was very good. On the first day, the breakfast chef asked for advice. I said that there were few dishes suitable for Chinese people. We wanted to eat some vegetables. The next morning we made vegetables for two of us; Workers repaired and kept saying sorry.        The hotel is very expensive to call a car to the airport.        The location of the hotel is very biased, there is a piece of farmland outside the gate, and you can find the TUTU by walking for ten minutes. The surroundings are dark at night.
