A well situated hotel in the heart of Sherman Oaks right on Ventura Boulevard. Plenty of food options to include the Cheesecake Factory, a Whole Foods, and many local restaurants. There is also plenty of shopping as well. The hotel is a short ten minute ride from Van Nuys and twenty minutes from Burbank Airport. The room was modern and very clean. The bed was soft and the pillows were even softer. The bathroom has a stand in shower with no tub. If you are a light sleeper request a room not facing Ventura Boulevard. The hotel has a policy of leaving each room vacant for 24 hours after the prior guest has left and been cleaned to prevent the further spread of COVID-19. The pool is the only amenity that was open. The spa and fitness room were closed. The restaurant and lobby seating areas were also closed. Other Amenities: - Free laundry - Business center - WiFi - Smart TV - Courtesy van

Grab the first fragrance! This restaurant has just opened, the whole is butterfly wind, really super cute! Overall it is very clean and the service attitude at the counter is very kind There is an outdoor atrium on the first floor, very comfortable, you can sit outside and have breakfast The room is quite spacious, clean, comfortable and quiet; there are vending machines on my floor to buy drinks. But it may be on every floor. There are some souvenirs and chocolates beside the counter. When I booked the room, I indicated that I needed indoor slippers. I wanted to say that I might have to ask for it at the counter. I didn't expect to see slippers beside the bed when I walked into the room. It was really sweet! I saw that there was a bar at the counter but there was no one. I asked my sister at the counter. They said that it was still under preparation, but it should open before the end of the year. I will give it a try when it opens! There is a whole foods supermarket nearby, the price is a bit expensive but the stuff is special and high-end, I haven't seen it in other general supermarkets There is a small massage pool and a gym. My boyfriend went to work out. He said it was clean. All in all I like this restaurant very much. It is a very period now, clean is the most important thing! Push!

Overall this place is okay for the price. I'd say it's your basic budget hotel...nothing special, nothing that really sets it apart. My room was clean and quiet. That said, our stay was not without issues: 1. I stayed 2 nights. Both mornings when I woke up, there was no hot water. The first morning, I complained and they got someone to fix it right away and we had hot water the remainder of the day. The second morning it was someone else at the front desk, some young dude with a man bun, and all he did was give me a blank stare like he didn't believe me. When I went back to the front desk to complain again an hour later, all he could say was "maintenance isn't here today (Sunday)." No "Gee I'm sorry, let me call someone," no concession offered, nothing. It was obvious by the confused look on the guy's face and the shrug he gave me that he had no clue what to do. 2. Contrary to what other reviewers have said, they DO offer complimentary breakfast in the adjoining restaurant. The desk clerk told me they toyed with charging for it for awhile but that hurt business. However, it's nothing more than cold cereal, bagels/toast, and juice or coffee...that's it. Would I stay here again? In a pinch, yes, but there must be nicer places nearby for a similar price...at least one that offers hot rather than cold showers.

I booked this hotel because i read reviews on tripadvisor and found out that this was the only decent hotel in the area. #2, I checked that they have elevator service. I was travelling with 2 senior citizens so elevator was a big deal for them (1 has heart problem and 1 has eyesight problem). when we arrived, everything was okay. we checked in late at night. problem started after we had our breakfast the next day. when we entered the elevator so we can go back to our room. we got stuck at their elevator for a couple of minutes. my husband had anxiety attack but tried to remained calm (because of the 2 senior citizens we were with) and he could hardly breath while we got stuck. when we told the receptionist (mr sagar rattee, but says "emmanuel" on his name pin - very shady) about it. no reaction, no apologies. (as if this thing happens to them on a normal basis). our room was on the 2nd floor and were traveling with 2 senior citizens. we didn't take the elevator anymore after the incident because of the trauma it caused us. so we decided to give up the room because we cannot have both 2 senior citizens go up and down the stairs because of heart problem and the other one has bad eyesight. by the this time, both elevators was no longer functioning. so all their guests has to take the stairs. the hotel won't refund us the money that we paid through hotels.com because it's non-cancellable. to make the long story short, they still didn't refund us the money and hotels.com was the one who gave us the refund and coupon code. our experience here was a total nightmare. from their elevator, their suppposedly manager in charge, mr. sagar who couldn't do anything or decide on anything and their manager - ms ellen mapue (who mr. sagar said was not in the property but just actually was just at the back). they only gave us 2 options which are: 1. we stay with them and they will have their elevator fix. 2. we stay with them even if they cannot fix their elevator. what a joke! never coming back to this hotel again. and it's not even cheap.. it's pretty expensive for a rundown hotel and management that seems like a joke to me. no hospitality, no service, no heart at all.

LOVE this hotel. We've stayed here many times. The rooms are always clean and comfortable, and meet all our basic needs. Every staff member we've ever end is super nice. They have security at the entrance and they patrol the parking lot. We'll always stay here when we're in the area.

For the price and the location, this motel is definitely decent value. Staying here 3 separate times, my room was clean and the service was friendly. the 405 freeway is also right around the corner and there are lots of dining options nearby.

I travelled here with my adult daughter in September 2019. Many, many years ago I saw an advert in my hotel room channel for The Bel Air Hotel. It was a long advert narrated by a man with what the kids would call an ''ASMR voice'' and it was such effective marketing it stuck in my mind for about 15 years until I finally made it through the doors in September 2019. Was it worth the wait? Yes and then some. The hotel is just paradise. We stayed in the Canyon studio room. These rooms are on the south side of the hotel and are located on the upper floors so you have a lovely view of the canyon, a lot of privacy and the private patio with a little plunge pool and fireplace is delightful. Inside the rooms are sleek, modern and well appointed and for us Europeans very 'California'. We could have stayed in our room for the weekend! We stayed here after taking a cruise and before our cruise we stayed at another 5 star hotel in Beverly Hills that was a comedy of errors and just a horrible experience. We came to The Bel Air with some trepidation that we would again be paying handsomely to get shoved aside in favour of VIP guests and connected locals. Well, no such worries were needed. We were made to feel so welcome and with the large gardens and privacy of our suite it often felt like we the only guests. The pool was busy over the weekend but we were always welcomed and provided with lounge chairs and they were not holding the best seats for VIPs like the other hotel. Every guest was treated equally which is such a relief when you are just a nobody like us. You can take the house car within a 3 mile radius and they have a car that will take you to their sister hotel The Beverly Hills Hotel where you can use their pool and you also have charging privileges. This hotel is also beautiful though of course busier. I highly recommend the Fountain coffee shop for coffee and cake. The staff was amazing in every way. Great attention to detail. I never mentioned it was my birthday. I traveled through 3 international airports, stayed in 2 other hotels and took a cruise. Nobody noticed the DOB on my passport. Checked into The Bel Air and 30 minutes later they are at my room with cake and champagne because they noticed. My daughter works as a writer for a talk show in our country. She told our house car driver this and about her love of comedy. Our driver had the concierge get us tickets to the Comedy Store, they agreed to drop us in the house car AND the driver (a different man) took a little detour to show my daughter the house that her idol Joan Rivers lived in during the height of her talk show fame. I mean.......that's the level of care and detail they put into each guest. My room tip is to go for a room/suite that has outdoor space. We reserved through the Dorchester Diamond Club and the extra benefits you get cancel out the extra cost of the higher category of room. Diamond Club is also the best of its kind - they upgrade you on booking and w

Every 2-3 hours I see a few cleaning ladies using elbow grease to maintain a sanitized establishment and thank you for that. I stayed at the Lexen after I was hit by a freight liner truck and went to the hospital. I didn’t want to go home to my family for safety reasons and I booked a room. Very very clean. I was so happy to feel like I was in my own clean home. No breakfast even though they offer it but it’s understandable why no breakfast at this time. Thank you for taking the fear out of my stay.

I stayed in Hotel Angeleno in early September. This was not a good experience. First, they lost my reservation, and it took them a long time to find it. I had to show the prove of booking and yet Brad at the front desk said that there was none, despite me showing him the confirmation. When he finally found it after 30 minutes lost, he did not bother to apologize. The room was on the 3rd floor right above the hotel entry and across from elevators, very noisy. Linen had dirty spots on it. I traveled alone but the room I got had a connected room with a light door so I could hear all the noises there. The baby over there cried and coughed all night - why would they put a family with a baby in a room connected to a stranger, I cannot explain. However, I would expect them to have remote thermometers to ensure that people who stay there have no fever, but they did not care. When I checked out, all I got was "You're all set", nothing like "Thank you for staying with us." I think the hotel menegement relies on location rather than service, and it is a proven strategy to fail. Very sad.

Very bad experience. Obviously pre-paid and included breakfast, the front desk told me not to include breakfast. I questioned and asked me to get a confirmation form. The lobby signal was very poor. I could n’t open the Ctrip app. Staff; then asked me for a credit card. I did n’t pay attention. I thought I had a voucher. It was plain and plain, and the normal deposit was 100 knives. Far more than paid. When I went up to check in, I was given a room near the road on the far side, which was very noisy. I went downstairs and asked about the deposit. The one who originally worked was not there. Another admitted to misuse and said that the pre-authorization was changed to $ 300. However, I never received a new bank message and called the bank. The bank said that according to the consumption deduction of 871.73 knives, then the front desk gave me a receipt for the modified deposit of 300 knives. Messy stay experience. Some of the mini bars in the room are displayed on the pad, and some are not. The water in the bathtub was not smooth! There was a smell in the room. Not worth the price! In addition, the frozen knife was 871.73, but a receipt of $ 300 was given. After checking out, the wrong operation will occur again. Who can I find?

Quick and straightforward check in after a long day of travelling. Room was modern and clean. We were in 211, on the corner. Did face out to the street which was noisy but we are used to street noise so didn't bother us. Breakfast was decent - cereal, scrambled eggs, bagels, toast and fruit to choose from. Filled us up for a good while. We chose this hotel based on closeness to Universal Studios, just ~20min walk. Also close to the metro, which was handy for us getting into the city. Would definitely stay here again.

We stayed a night in room 230 which has a lovely jacuzzi with fancy columns on both sides of the tub. (There's also another jacuzzi room which has a different layout.) In our room there was a king bed, a queen bed, a table with two chairs, night stands, half size fridge (no freezer), armoire, closet, and bathroom amenities. If you are looking for a shower stall that has some safety elements for a senior, this qualified. It was an installation shower stall with direct walk-in, and two little ledges in the shower stall if you want to perch instead of stand, a totally embedded horizontal safety bar across the back, and a nozzle on a hose so that you can bathe yourself hand-held style. The television is perched on top of the closet which is pretty high up. You can watch it comfortably if you're lying in the king bed, but it's not watchable from anywhere else in the room. The mini fridge was on when we arrived which I always appreciate. There's a stairway and an elevator. The jacuzzi is designed for two. You have to fill the water above the jet holes, before turning on the jets. The jet button is all the way to the back, so you don't turn the bubbles on til after you're already bathing in the tub. Behind the two spots where you sit, are tub indentations where you can place a rolled towel to use as a headrest. We found the tub to be comfortable and pleasant. There were lots of cars when we arrived so parking was tight. Some of the guests were renting long-term. I liked this hotel room a lot but my boyfriend didn't like the area.

Amy Bloch, the Concierge, contacted us about 2 weeks before our arrival asking if there was anything she could do for us either setting up any tours, restaurant suggestions and reservations or anything we might need. After asking for suggestions on restaurants she did send me quite a selection of different types of restaurants along with things to do around Hollywood and Los Angeles. When my friend and I arrived Amy greeted us at the front desk, welcoming us to the Roosevelt Hotel. The entire staff from the front desk, the guys at the valet parking, housekeeping and room service were outstanding. They couldn't do enough for us. Everyone at the hotel, especially Amy made our stay simply fantastic. The Roosevelt Hotel is the only place we would stay in Hollywood.

Downtown Los Angeles
It's a big place like Los Angeles, and the room is so small, I feel drunk too. It is too small to open the luggage, which is inconvenient to open. I specifically explained that I want a quiet room. The garbage truck on the street started to pull garbage less than 5:00 in the morning. The staff talked. I thought the window was not closed. As a result, there was no window for you to open. It was just a piece of glass with light. Just come in. A small refrigerator, placed on a shelf, but not in a cabinet. There is nothing in the refrigerator, but it is plugged in, and the operation noise is noisy all night. It will collapse when you live one day. No one will help you. Carry luggage. No one asks if you need help. Is this still Los Angeles I know? The beds are ok, moderately hard and soft. The location is good. It is convenient to walk everywhere, and around breakfast. Walking on HIlls street towards 3rd street, everything is there. May not stay here next time, unless there is no choice.

Los Angeles International Airport Area
Because of the proximity to the airport, the sound of the plane taking off and landing has never stopped, quiet is not enough, and I can sleep. The hotel room did not actively provide slippers, toothbrushes and toothpaste. It was okay to call to ask the housekeeping to arrive. The bathtub has no glass door, just a plastic shower curtain. The shower faucet is fixed to the wall. There is a free shuttle to the airport 24 hours. The driver also helped to carry luggage up and down. The service was good.

My family has been using the Anza hotel for all of our trips to the Calabasas/LA area for the past 4 years or so, and we love it here. I hope we can continue to rely on the Anza for years to come. Beautiful rooms, superb location, and best of all they allow pets! The prices for rooms are very reasonable and they all have a nice "boutique feel" to them which adds something special. I want to add an extra note about my last stay here, which took place during the first days of the Covid-19 outbreak. I traveled alone without my husband and child to Calabasas/California because I needed to be with a gravely ill parent who soon passed away. Being able to stay in a comfortable hotel during this awful period was such a comfort to me, and I want to add that Ryan, who works at the Bistro restaurant and bar, was especially great to me during this time. Ryan prepared delicious meals for me, got to know me and my love for an evening glass of wine right away, and was a warm, friendly presence when I came home from the hospital at night (and in later days, came home to the hotel after days spent making final arrangements). Ryan and the team at the Anza who continued to work during the stressful days of Covid-19 "stay at home restrictions" were truly a blessing to me and I value, and am so grateful for, their work on the behalf of me and other guests who really needed a hotel stay for emergency reasons.

Everything was on point! All the staff were very accommodating! I arrived early Saturday and I was lucky to get a room early. Which helped a lot since we were on the go per our Soccer Tournament. When we needed a space to have our potluck in the evening they helped with our set up. Everyone was very friendly and customer service was amazing!
