Stayed here for a couple of nights, and i have to say it was a comfortable, clean little hotel. All that is required for a short stay. Lots of little resteraunts within walking distance, and the city sight seeing bus stops right on the square. The outside of the hotel isnt noticeable as it is through a maaaive graffitied door. The graffiti lets the city down. The lift is as small as a plane toilet and during the week you need 10cent to operate it, but the hotel will give you these when required. We stayed in room 7 over looking court yard, was quiet enough. Breakfast very basic, and id advise you to get to breakfast early if u want croissants etc. Staff very good, and full of info about tours, places to visit, etc. If i visit naples again, i will stay here.

I was very skeptic about Napoli and this Hotel. Building and narrow street is full of grafity there are some minor kids drinking near the corner etc. But before we came owner Mr. Roberto called and text us to ask check in time. He couldn't reach me because of some problems about my sim card. We reached the hotel around 13.00 and no one is at the gate. Neighbor called Mr. Roberto and he came less than 5 minutes. Show us the room which is a huge room. Bathroom was clean, bed was comfortable kitchen was clean and tidy even there are some cooking materials to prepare a proper dinner at cupboards. And even there is a washing machine and some laundry saop to use. There was 2 complimentary water in the fridge. After we checked in he gave me the breakfast coupons (pastry in front of B&B, 1 cappucino & crousant or 1 fresh orange juice & toast) a map and recommended places to go and some local restaurants and pizzerias. Stayed 4 nights VERY QUIET street, no noise at all and definately area was very safe. No dark roads no thiefs at street, just some kids around. At most 2 minute distance to Heart of Via Toledo. After 4 night our last day I lost my cellphone at road to Pompeii (probably at station). When I enter my room I checked my items and couldn't find it (thought that maybe I forgot my phone in the room).Mr. Roberto called my phone an officer from train station answered, said that the phone found in train station and need to be retrieved in 30 minute. Mr. Roberto went to station and retrieve my cellphone. (kindest act I have ever saw in Europe) and brought back less than 20 mins. To sum up, location is good, room is great and host is outstanding. Thanks for everything

The location of the hotel is not far from the subway station, but it is not at the door, within walking distance. The environment in the hotel is very good, and the waiters are also very dedicated and friendly. There are few choices for breakfast, but the taste is okay. There are several bars at the door, you can hear a little sound before going to bed, but it does not affect sleep. The sauna room is not the same as the domestic ones, it is electric heating, and it feels not very safe. There is only one inconvenience, everyone should pay attention! ! The hotel is in an old complex. The elevator is only available from the second floor, so it is not very convenient for people with a lot of luggage. When I went there, I asked the waiter to help me move it up. They only helped me when I checked out. We moved to the elevator. So the four boxes on the last floor were moved by our two girls. If there is less luggage, this problem is not your problem. The other places are great.

What a wonderful little hotel !! First impressions can be deceptive as the hotel is on the second floor of a run down looking palace but once you step foot inside MelRose you are transported to a calm, clean, wonderful environment. The rooms are very spacious with a mezzanine floor (which is perfect if you have children), really comfy beds and a lovely shower. The breakfast, either taken in your room or in the breakfast room, is very tasty with lots of choice from a continental buffet. The staff are very friendly and couldn’t do more to help with your stay, it really was a pleasure to deal with them, especially Ornella who even communicated with me via WhatsApp on her day off !! Don’t hesitate book MelRose today 😀

This is a fairly cheap B&B in the historic centre of Napoli. We were pleasantly supprised about everything here. The room we had was big and modern, the bed was comfortable (finally) and the bathroom had a great shower. The staff was helpful and made contact with us a few days before arrival, which made things very easy. It close to metro Dante, so don't waste your money on a taxi. Only negative thing we had to say, was that the cafe where breakfast is served (a few hundred meters away from the hotel) didn't have the option we selected for our breakfast, but that is of no fault of the hotel, and we would totally recommend the hotel anyway.

So I’ve just visited Naples for the first time with a friend and stayed at Annunziata Bed and Breakfast for 3 nights. Our host Maria Laura met us at check in and made sure everything ran smoothly. She showed us to our room and showed us how everything worked. To say that she was extremely helpful and friendly is an understatement..she recommended the best places to eat and drink and advised us on the top things we must do while there for a short stay. Any questions I had were answered and nothing was too much trouble. The room I stayed in was The Suite and the space was bright, clean, had great Air Conditioning, Tv, kitchen area, also a huge window with stunning views of Naples and Mount Vesuvius! The bed was the most comfortable I have stayed in as I usually struggle with sleeping...not a problem here.. The breakfast each morning had an array of items with everything from freshly baked croissants..breads..muffins..jams..freshly boiled eggs..cereals..coffee machine..tea..juices and so on.. Oh and you can actually squeeze your own fresh orange juice which I thought was a nice touch!! I’m sad I couldn’t stay any longer but thank you for such a wonderful stay !! Would highly recommend anybody to stay here you will not be disappointed :-)

We arrived this Guesthouse on a Saturday in April and you should know that the main entrance is on the main street to this area of houses. Seek a small metal plate on right hand of a big wooden door. Our host was very polite and give us a lot of recommendation for our visit here. You can reach the underground at 'university' station in two minutes and from there to every destination. To the city centre you can walk in 15 minutes or wait for a train. The room was very clean and was shortly new renovated, the bed was convenient and the bathroom have the right size. Thanks to our host.

We stayed for two nights in the room with a bath in the room. The staff are extremely helpful and the room was clean and well equipped. The location is perfect for central Naples. The rooms are within an apartment on the top floor (up lots of stairs and no lift) but well worth the effort of the stairs! You also get use of a shared kitchen and outdoor space. Only disappointment for us was that the roof terrace is only accessible from the apartment room, and so is not available for all to use Thank you for a great stay

The front desk guy that helped us check in was very helpful and friendly. He was probably the best part of the stay. We had to check in at the hotel a couple buildings down. To get into the room there are so many doors. You even need a key to exit. Since we only had one set of keys we had to leave together. The room itself was clean but just average accommodations. We knew this upon booking but didn't have many options since it's quite busy in December with everyone wanting to see the Christmas festivities. It's just a place to stay really. Location is good if you want to shop but it's on the main shopping street an noisy at all hours. You can hear everything in the halls. Around 2 am the garbage trucks outside were quite loud and woke me up. I wasn't able to go back to sleep until 5 am so I heard cars, motorcycles, people screaming outside, etc. Then around 4 am I guess shop owners were dragging their garbage cans back in? Not sure but it was non-stop noise. We even kept the bathroom fan on for white noise but it didn't help. Bed is fine though my hubs complained it was 2 twin beds put together and he was sleeping on the crack. Other than that you really have everything you need and it's clean. I feel like we paid boutique price for budget accommodations.

I loved everything except lack of living area. I was there for a few days to sight see but also to recover from an injury so I spent quite a bit of time in the room. The room was spectacular, you get a remote so you can control the individual AC unit for the room (loved that), free coffee and tea 24x7, snacks and breakfast also included. I was thrilled they give you some yogurt and milk and juice in the small refrigerator in your room, along with a daily coupon to go downstairs to the little shop next door for coffee and breakfast croissant. It’s newly renovated, gorgeous floors, your own bath which was heavenly. But there was no place to spend time, like a common living room. It has a small kitchenette and entry. One of the rooms has a balcony but my double room did not, therefore I was pretty much stuck inside my own room. The area has a few shops around, but I wasn’t comfortable (female solo traveler) walking around at night. It’s extremely close to the train station which is nice, and the train station has some shops and places to eat. As for the staff, wow they great!!! The son speaks English, and his mom (who cleans) was amazing. I arrived before the son, so she did very well in broken English, telling me where everything was. She was so sweet and offered to walk me down a few blocks to the cosmetic store, but he walked me down instead; and offered to stay and wait, but I let him return. How sweet are they??? I would definitely stay here again.

We stayed at this hotel for a night and thought it was great. We were a little bit worried because some of the tripadvisor reviews were negative but we had a very different experience. The staff were really friendly and helpful. The guy running the coffee shop was particularly nice feeding us lots of coffee after our long early morning journey to Naples. The staff behind the desk were also great. There is also an amazing swimming pool. It is used for a couple of hours in the late afternoon by the on site gym to provide swimming lessons for local kids but the hotel staff kindly arranged for some of the pool to be cordoned off so we could have a swim with our son. They also helped us with local orientation and booked our early morning taxi to the airport. They couldn’t have been nicer. Finally, location wise, it could not be better. Right in the middle of things and surrounded by great restaurants, bars and shops.

Had a wonderful stay at Culture Residency, while visiting Naples for its glories of cathedrals, Caravaggios,Banksy, street art and food. We could not manage to see everything since there is too much for just three days! The lines for Christo Velato were super long! So had to pass! Alfredo, the owner took excellent care and looked after every single need with dedication. He even gave detailed directions and helped out when we lost our way!!! He welcomed us with wonderful wine and a generous array of delicacies from Naples. The tarallis were supreme!!! There's lots of coffee, bottled water, milk and juice stocked in the room fridge for the tired traveller. The room was super clean with nice bathrooms. It had very good street views and the view from the Solarium is worth a trip to Naples. Its awesome and spiritual! One could spend the whole day there reading or relaxing in the incredible atmosphere. Although we only went there early morning and late nights as we were busy exploring the overwhelming city of Naples that has so much to offer! Culture Residence is very close to the metro so one can get around very easily. The laundry and cleaning service is impeccable. There are wonderful eateries for coffee and dinner just a few moments away. Alfredo did help us select some. Make sure you try the pizza at Pizzeria da Michele/Condurro, sfogliatelle at Cafe Gran Franco, espresso at Emma Gelataria and the gelato at Fantasie Gelato... among many other super-delicious local specialities. Thank you Alfredo for a memorable stay.

The location of this b&b is great, you can’t fault it. Great if you want to explore Naples by foot. My boyfriend and I stayed here for 1 night in August 2018. We parked our car in the car park opposite (24 euros for one night!! - we slowly realised this is normal price in Italy). We stayed in the queen room with balcony and our room was small and stylish but with no room for luggage as you can see in the pictures. The bed was comfy and air conditioning worked well. Great WiFi and a lovely big outside terrace area. It was extremely hard to find this property with it being on the 5th floor within a block of flats. We really struggled to find the entrance, but rang the number provided online and we were greeted within 15 minutes. The host was lovely and very informative regarding Naples, we didn’t have much time so she suggested the best areas for us to visit. Breakfast was very minimal, coffee and a few packaged croissants. Would use this property again for 1/2 nights staying in Naples. ... and do not even attempt to go to San Michele or Sorbillo for pizzas - at least a 2hour wait for both. Very unorganised queuing system, very stressful experience! All pizza in Naples is amazing wherever you get it from

Had a lovely stay at Dei Decumani, the location is fantastic and the historical center of Naples is a great area to be in. We had a lovely balcony room overlooking the street with a 30 second walk to Il Duomo, the room itself is great, very spacious and high with very comfy beds as well as a brilliant morning breakfast served by Tania who was great for any kind of information, she helped us get to the airport as well as navigating the city. The area is brilliantly stocked with local food choices and nothing is overpriced, great amounts of history and you can stroll through the backstreets for hours admiring the area. This B&B is appointed to a very high standard: modern, clean and air conditioned throughout. The staff are very obliging and polite. There is also a communal kitchen with a balcony to relax on. Naples is a vast and bustling city and there is so much to see. The Neapolitans are very friendly and helpful. The transport system is good, but sometimes the information is not available. Check the websites for more information before you travel. If on a short stay it is worth getting the tourist card (ArteCard) that provides access to the integrated transport and entry to 2 sites and the rest at a reduced rate. Plan your itinerary before you leave home and prioritise the sites you want to see also allowing for traffic. Some museums close early. Pompei is a must-see site. When crossing the roads be particularly mindful of the scooters. Regina Elena is situated in a very nice area close to the seafront promenade. There is a fast link Metro station nearby (Linea 2) and the bus stop for bus 151, which runs past many historic monuments. There are many restaurants to choose from in the vicinity as well as a small supermarket one street away. We highly recommend visiting Naples. Our special thanks go to Salvatore for being so helpful.

This is a room in an apartment block on the 6th floor where other local families live near very busy, Napoli Centrale train station where Italian trains are cheap and frequent. Outside the train station is the Alibus shuttle to the airport costing 5 euros but beware the taxi drivers, some unregulated pestering you with a cheap fare.........it’s cheap because it’s too good to be true! The first Alibus leaves at 5:50am, but check the timetable on the internet first The day before your flight do check the location of the correct bus stop, which is ALIBUS and says Direzione Aeroporto, as some of these unofficial taxi drivers, will give you misleading instructions so you miss the Alibus. In the building where this B&B is located, it appears the neighbours, inconsiderately leave the inner doors of the lift open, meaning sometimes, that you cannot call the lift upwards! As a result of this lack of co operation with the neighbours, the lift was not working, first thing in the morning of my early departure. Luckily I am fairly agile, so having to “lug” my suitcase down six flights of stairs, down a steep stairwell when I checked out, was annoying but not impossible, but could have been a different story altogether, had I been disabled. First impressions, the receptionist was a very helpful girl with excellent English, who checked me in efficiently and helped me with my suitcase, so she scores full marks for being obliging and efficient. She came down to meet me at the front of the building and accompanied me to the lift to the B&B and up we went to the sixth floor. After check-in, into what was an apartment, I was apologetically informed that my bedroom, would be in another building next door as they were fully booked. The receptionist, helped me once more, with my case, as well as giving me a takeaway breakfast, before setting off for the other building So top marks for her helpfulness So off, I walked with her, and down the lift, to find my new bedroom located, in this other building across the road. The reallocated bedroom was in another apartment, which was less salubrious than the previous one. My bedroom smelling strongly of cigarette smoke, was not made up, which surprised her........as well as myself as she opened the door and quickly shut it again. To her absolute credit, she immediately apologised and again we returned to the first building and I was allocated a large recently cleaned bedroom with a modern shower and shower gel with hair-drier. I have stayed in Naples a couple of times and it seems a lot of these accommodations have mushroomed within private apartments, which I’m my opinion should be on air bnb rather than amongst hotels on a hotel booking site. The receptionist was great but again I just use Naples as an airport hub for a nights sleepover.

With a spacious room and ample, delicious breakfast, we very much enjoyed this retreat every day after scurrying about Naples absorbing the cultural attractions of the city. Hearing the choral music in one of the halls as soon as entered the casa reminded us of the ambiance of a monastery, which, in fact, it is. It was a short walk to the opera house, to the harbor boats to Capri and other islands. Also, being located on the central funicular line, it compelled and enabled us to go to top of one of the most prominent hills in Naples to explore other neighborhoods. Via Toledo is at the bottom-most station of the funiculare. Service was fine and timely. An extra bonus is that it is not just a casa but an ongoing monastery with priests that we did not have to see for any confessions. The scenery from the garden, where some people had breakfast was outstanding, being able to see Capri, Sorrento, and to be sure other parts of the city in all directions.

This is an honest review with all the good and the bad. In short Anna herself was lovely. Breakfast was nice and Anna was very friendly at breakfast time. We didn’t see her much after the morning but that was not an issue. All the staff were friendly at breakfast, there was nothing to fault there. She even provided some home made cakes and jams. Essentially the same food was provided for 5 days but it was plentiful and good. Coffee and tea was included with breakfast. There was instant coffee in the breakfast room but no kettle/hot water. I asked if a kettle was available and was told they would put one out but that never happened. The night staff did not know how to make coffee even though it was on a menu in the rooms for purchase. We had booked 3 rooms at Anna’s Family Terrace more than 6 months in advance of our stay. The b&b contacted me one week before arrival to ask what time were were arriving. At check-in I was told there was an issue at the terrace and we were put in rooms at Anna’s Family location. I was not notified by email even though they had my contact details. We never got to see the rooms we should have had. One of the three rooms had broken doors leading to the back of the building. We informed the staff who told the manager and they said it could be fixed only in the morning. No one came back to fix the door for the rest of the 5 day stay. We left our luggage in another room as we were concerned about security in the room since anyone could potentially enter from the back which was full of people, restaurants. etc. There were also several mosquitoes in the room, probably due to the open doors. The rooms were very basic but were clean. Each room was slightly different but all had a double bed and small bathroom. The showers were very small but there was hot water. Basic toiletries (soap and packets of shampoo) were provided. Two of three rooms had a fridge. Towels were replaced if all were put on the floor. We were trying not to replace every day to save water but when we left only one on the floor, since there was no floor mat, it was taken and not replaced (this happened twice). Also one day the toilet paper was not replaced. Unfortunately some of the tourist info provided was not wholly accurate, for example where to buy tickets for the city hop on hop off bus (you can buy them on the bus and there is a stop only about 100 meters from the place). The location was very good, right at piazza Garibaldi and the Garibaldi train station. Very central and easy to get anywhere. Many places were within walking distance. The train to Pompei (circumvesuviana) was a 2 Minute walk. There were plenty of restaurants nearby. One right next door even (we didn’t eat there). There was a really small bar accross from the entrance and the staff there were super nice! It’s a basic B&B but if you know what to expect you might enjoy your stay.

We had a great stay here. Carla was very helpful and welcoming, even after we arrived on a very late flight. Rooms Were very pleasant with wifi and aircon, we had the two with the en suites, although the others looked easily nice , just with detached bathrooms. Be aware that naples itself has a lot of Graffiti Everywhere, but don't worry, inside the B and B it is an oasis. We left our bags there safely as we had a late flight leaving. And everything was OK. Found some great trips online which picked us up from outside the ambassadors hotel across the main road, 2 minutes walk. Did plenty of walking around Naples too, Found the best Pizza at Cassparo opposite Cavour Metro station. All in all a lovely find and nice and quiet

Firstly, the host Patrizio goes out of his way to ensure his guests have a great time in Napoli and that Guantai helps achieves this. He’s kind, welcoming and will go out of his way to help you. He even gave us a lift to the airport at 4am this morning!!! As there were no buses and unlikely we’d get a taxi on time for our flight. The bedrooms are exactly as advertised. Serve their exact purpose as a clean base for your visit to a city. The air con in the room was excellent and worked wonderfully in the heat. Breakfast was delicious and served warm each morning straight from the oven. Croissant, bread, orange juice, coffee and fruit...sets you up nicely for the day. Or at least until you walk past a pizzeria and can’t help yourself!! Location isn’t very good. No more than ten minutes walk from a host of great ristorantes, and no more than 20 minutes walk from I would say everywhere in Naples worth visiting. Excellent location for the port, where we caught two ferries to Amalfi and Capri. Easy as pie. Grazie Patrizio! Diolch.

Shortly after booking this hotel I noticed a lot of reviews which claimed that it wasn’t in the nicest part of Naples; after just one night I can confirm that this is very true and wouldn’t recommend it unless you plan on taking taxis everywhere. I opted for the Airport Shuttle which is absolutely worth the money, I was picked up perfectly on time by a lovely guy who spoke perfect English and was taken to the hotel’s reception which is based around 15min (driving) from the room itself - the shuttle is cheaper than a taxi and includes luggage storage. Upon arriving at the reception I was greeted and checked in by an extremely pleasant lady who couldn’t have been more welcoming and helpful; after checking in I was asked to return between 15:00 - 21:00 to collect my luggage and take the free shuttle to my room’s location. When I was taken to Piazza Mercato where the room is based I instantly knew what the other reviews were talking about but tried to keep an open mind, the building itself isn’t the most modern and pleasant but the room itself and communal area certainly made up for it - both were extremely clean and modern. The location of the room is definitely more residential than tourist which means that it’s pretty isolated with not many people around, especially at night time which is when I got mugged and a gold necklace ripped from my neck just metres away from the entrance to the accommodation’s entrance just after midnight. After reporting the incident to the police they told me that the area of the accommodation is renowned for crime and violent attacks; after just one night I decided to move to a busier and more central location which isn’t as isolated. During the day the entrance is often surrounded by rough-looking locals who seem to do nothing but stare you up and down, obviously making you uncomfortable and uneasy. After informing the staff that I was checking out they told me to let them know if I needed assistance in any way which I thought was very kind of them. As I said earlier, the room and staff are fantastic but unfortunately safety lies above it all and I don’t think it’s a suitable location for tourists. Maybe the hotel would be better for groups rather than solo travellers or couples; if you do intend on staying here then maybe travel via taxi rather than on foot into the centre.

On our way from Rome to Bari, we decided to make a quick stop in Naples to visit both this city but also the nearby ancient city of Pompeii. We had originally planned two nights in Naples, but decided upon arrival to change our plans and move along to Bari as quickly as possible instead. So, we started looking for hotels that were affordable and close to the central train station/bus terminal in Naples, as we concluded that we would only be staying for one night anyway, and therefore comfort wasn´t our highest priority this time. We found rooms with Hotel Orsa Maggiore through booking.com, and managed to snatch the last room available for that particular night. We had no problems finding the address when arrived to the train station in Naples, in fact the short walk could have been reduced to only a couple of minutes had it not been for our luggage slowing us down a bit. When we arrived to checkin, we were told that the room we had booked/gotten was in another building, not even half a block away. This was apparently their appartments-section of their franchise, and we were absolutely amazed by how fresh, trendy and clean these rooms/appartmens were for the price we had paid. We were also relieved by the fact that all windows were soundproofed, so although we were staying in a hotel with a view over the busiest piazza in Naples, we didn´t hear a thing. This was very important to us, especially for me, as I am av very light sleeper. Nice, surprisingly comfortable bed, modern airconditioning and fresh room with fresh bathroom. Good serviceminded staff. Only downside, was that one had to use coins to use the elevator, no big amounts, just the smallest change.

Situated in the posh Vomero section of Napoli in a classic neighborhood building with security. The hotel and surrounding areas offer commanding views of the bay, Vesuvius, and the city below. Great shopping, restaurants, a market are in close proximity. There is quick and easy access to public transportation to take you anywhere in the city and/or to the islands. The rooms are well appointed, very clean, and cool. The staff was delightful and very responsive to our every need. A full breakfast (Italian style) is served daily for the perfect start to your day. Highly recommend booking your stay here- it will not disappoint!

I liked the proximity to the major public hubs and quality restaurants. Despite being on the first (ground) floor, the apartment is way warmer than I expected. As a matter of fact, there are not the main points of my review. The place is owned by an awesome family. I even felt like I was a part of it. Really friendly people like I haven't seen in years of traveling. Not only they explained everything upon arrival, but also spent a great deal of time with us at a cafe. Let this pioneering review be the beginning of the 5-star ones.

We thoroughly enjoyed our 5 night stay in this lovely B and B which is in a great location to explore the sights of Naples. It is only about a 15 minute taxi journey from the airport and is in a nice quiet area. Virginia greeted us with a very warm welcome and kept good communication with us on WhatsApp, advising us of some nice places to eat and places to visit. Our room ‘Shabby’, had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The little kitchen area was great for making hot drinks and snacks if required. There is a metro station just down the road which is very useful and nearby bus stops to pick up excursions to Pompeii , Vesuvius etc. Warm croissants, cereal, fruit , and crisp breads are offered for breakfast from 8 am. We highly recommend a stay here for your visit to Naples! Thank you Virginia ! 😁

Don't be discouraged by the appearance on the outside of the building or even the walk up to the 3rd floor; this place is top notch! We received a warm reception, personalized directions to sights we wanted to see, and the room was clean and comfortable. A truly pleasant stay!

A perfect location to stay some days in Naples near to the old city (couple of minutes walk). The rooms were perfectly cleaned, the bath room was bigger then full rooms of other hotels and the bed was king size and very comfortable. The breakfast was very good and ready ontime. Gisella is a very nice and helpful host -- after a hot day in the busy city we felt like coming home into a completely different world.

Excelent and extremely affordable apartment! Very clean (it was cleaned every day) with nice terasse, spacious bathroom, TV, AC, very good mattresses, fast WIFI. The only drawback was the lack of fridge! The hostess is very kind and although she didnt speak english we communicated fine! BNB sansevero Naples is just near the Naples center (10min walk), there is a big supermarket in the corner with everything needed and the bus stop (ANM bus number 182 costs 1.1euro one way per person) to and from the airport is just a few steps from this BNB (so you dont have to take ALIBUS which costs 5euros one way per person). All in all I absolutely recomment this property!

Built with a tremendous amount of thought towards a guests' comfort, the owners Luca and Alice have invested heart and soul and have spared no cost to ensure that you will enjoy your stay in Napoli. Check in was a breeze, our room was beautiful and our breakfast was extra special with homemade chocolate orange cake that Alice had prepared herself as well as lots of other items available. The owners are warm, welcoming, helpful; giving this venture 100% and it truly shows. Highly recommend!
