We stayed at Pallas with the family of 4 in August 2020. Our experience was just great. Turned out that the hotel has gone through a very stylish renovation/update just recently. + location is great + we liked the artsy touch that our room had + very well thought through furniture placement and quality. Plenty of spaces to put your bags to + kids loved the huge TV in the room + a proper bed was brought to our 3-year old and a baby cot for the smaller one; and we still had plenty of space left + although the weather was too hot outside, the room with huge windows (and great views) stayed cool + breakfast was great at the next door cafe (splendid coffee btw); and a children’s corner was a bonus there

We stayed at the suite with sauna over NYE. The location is stellar for anyone looking to spend time in the center as everything is just a few minutes away. As mentioned before by others, the place might look a bit outdated, but personally I wasn't bothered by it. It was mostly clean with a few exceptions like the faucets in the bathroom. We really enjoyed the sauna - it heated up fast and it also has a timer if you don't want to wait around for it to warm up. The only downside were the towels as they were quite small and there weren't enough to have something around you between taking steams for lounging around and then a dry one for drying yourself off after finishing and taking a shower. Robes were not provided. We wanted to have another session in the morning as well and for that the receptionist was very helpful by providing us with some new towels. The room also has a balcony facing the park in front of the house. This is also the direction of windows. Even with the hustle and bustle of NYE we still got a decent night sleep. We also didn't hear other people in the hotel, so that's a big plus. The breakfast is modest, but filling - a few types of sliced meats, one type of cheese, some cereals, some fruit, slices of tomatoes and cucumbers, omelette, sausages and bacon come to mind. Me and my partner were satisfied, but it can be disappointing for someone with food allergies or vegetarian/vegan diet.

Heard good stuff about the hotel befor but we were totally amazed once we got there. Location couldn't be better and the staff couldn't be any nicer. Our room (superior) was superb. Clean, spacious and beautiful. They have all the amenities and even a really nice minibar which you don't see often anymore. The spa area was cute, silent and really nice as well. And I can't stress this enough but their breakfast is probably one of the best breakfasts I've ever had in my life. From now on will stay there every time when in Tartu.

Looming is a hostel with a strong environmental policy, which means they are reducing waste and encouraging green lifestyle. The hostel has unique interior with cozy rooms and cool common area. The breakfast is good, perfect for vegetarians, and the hotel staff is very friendly and helped us out with anything we needed. We stayed with a larger group and the hostel added extra beds to accommodate all our needs. They also helped us to book a room downstairs where we organised an event. All our participants found it easy to get to the hostel as it is very near the train station. We had a great time in Looming and would come back any time.

I understand that shower curtains aren't cool enough for a hotel setting, but I would still prefer a shower curtain to splashing the water all over the bathroom ;)

Originally thinking we would be taking two single rooms, we were pleased to find that this hotel has apartments. Plain, clean, well-equipped and comfortable, we had a sitting room, two bedrooms and a separate toilet, a large fridge, three TVs and a microwave. There were plates etc, cutlery and a kettle. All at a reasonable price. We had a medical problem during our stay. The hotel receptionist went out of her way to help, making phone calls and translating where needful.

The style of this hotel is rather like an old hunting house, not really like an old Hansa medieval period, despite the name. It's full of very neat antique stuff from local household, which gives an impression of spending a night in a museum. However the rooms are very cozy and have everything you'd need for a comfortable stay, except for a fridge(( A lot of wood in the room, which makes it feel nice and cozy. The bed was perfect - wonderful sleep. The bathroom is rather small yet comfortable. The full-scale restaruant offers a nice and plentiful breakfast with decent choices. Once again - the design of the restaurant is very attractive if you're into historic/antique atmosphere. If we weren't staying in the hotel, it could as well be our choice for a dinner. The hotel is nicely located in a walking distance from the old town and at the same time offers free parking and saves you maneuvering through small streets of the old town. The only disappointment was stuffed animals all over the place. It would really be an animal rights activist nightmare!

Hotel is connected with shopping center, that made meal choices easier, the same with finding haircut and, as there was ice skating rink, leisure time was not an issue. Yes ,there is a cinema, but keep in mind that children movies are dubbed in estonian. Hotel itself had friendly and pleasant staff. We asked reception if we could get watter boiling cettle and they gave us. The room was clean and cozy, beds were comfy and spotless. Only thing is that it is far out of city center, but there is a bus and if you have a car, then it will be no problems. Overall we enjoyed Hotel Sophia.

We really enjoyed being at the Luxury Art Nouveau Hotel Ammende Villas, we were only 1 night but it made a great impression. I chose this accommodation because we and my husband had come to visit the Pärnu Endla Theater in Tallinn and it was interesting because of the name "Luxury Art Nouveau Hotel Villa Ammende" and it was really luxurious and exquisite. Inside was a comfortable bed and a mattress. Rather close to the bed, it was good to sit at a small table and drink wine with my husband. The bathroom was big and wide, the bath was great. In the evening we also visited Ammende Villa's à la carte restaurant. The interior was very Art Nouveau and the music was just right - everything was super !! We were served by a man named Vello - he was very friendly, helpful and very professional. At breakfast we were served by the same man again. Vello - our thanks to you. Everything was super cool! The room itself was not too big, but nice and cozy. Big enough to fit in the baby cottage and bed, but left a little room fo anything else. Still, a hotel room is a place to sleep in the end, so it does not matter so much. I´m sure if we would have visited the place in the summertime, it would have had more possible attractions, but for logical reasons the outside pool and playing area were closed for December. The most important part still was the service and the staff. Although all friendly I must compliment the night staff. We had no tea making fascilities in the room and as my wife was feeling a bit sick I went to ask for hot water from the restaurant/reception area. In the end I came back with a thermos full of water, honey, cut lemon, cups, gingerbreads and variety of teabags. Thank you for that! Breakfast was as it was, nothing to complain, nothing spectacular.

We already booked a family room in November. I read on the website that a family room consists of 2 rooms, one room has a balcony. bed width 90 cm, can accommodate up to 6 people, etc. It seemed to be the size and the amenities too. But when we arrived, it turned out that we were rather accommodated in hostel rooms. In the other room, there were fold-up armchairs, one of which giggled so impossibly, with a mattress so thin that it was very uncomfortable to sleep. In the other room, the vent made so loud a noise that it felt like a hairdryer was constantly working. And no room with a balcony. There was no allowed garden view either - the view from the window was enhanced by the roof of the sauna and the large ventilation pipes. The garden was never seen .The room was dirty, dust everywhere, splashes in mirrors. Unfortunately, on the first day, the administrators were also indifferent to the solution when we approached them. And of course, at 7 am, we started washing the plastic chairs and the sauna under the window with a high-pressure washer! Fortunately, the administrator who worked the other day was understanding and worked with the sales department to find a solution. We received 2 standard rooms, for which we are extremely grateful. Otherwise we would have left the hotel, we would have found a new hotel. But since the kids love your spa, we stayed. I've been to your hotel many times in C and D before. Beautiful rooms, beautiful garden or a view of the Vallikraav. Please match your family room information on the website to how it really is. So that no one in the family should be disappointed again. Thanks to the room change, you get a rating of "3".

It probably had its last major refurbishment in the 1970s or 80s. But it was done to a high standard for that time. And it is the reason you can stay in Pärnu’s Grand Hotel for much less than a nearby bland “boutique” hotel. It is clean, comfortable, welcoming and the breakfast is one of the best I have had this year (and I spend nearly half my life travelling). The location is perfect. It reminds me very much of my favourite hotel in the world: the Richemond in Chamonix - although that may have been refurbished by now. Catch it while it lasts. One day it will probably be refurbished to a run-of-the-mill homogeneous boutique standard, and the price will double. I must also give a word of praise to the hotel’s greatest asset: the delightful weekend receptionist. She gave me an early check-in, and an upgrade, and she dealt with a minor problem with grace and efficiency. A truly charming and classy lady, who understands the meaning of hospitality. And very pretty too.

We were in Parnu just for one night and chose Tervis for it's proximity to the beach and spa. The place is huge and it literally took us 5 mins to walk from our room to reception. This is the diametric opposite to a cute boutique hotel so don't come here if that's what you're looking for. We however loved the imposing style (for one night at least) and it almost felt like stepping back in time to how people would relax in the Soviet era. The beach is 10 mins walk away through a park. The highlight for me came when I investigated the medical spa facilities and tried the mud treatment! It's an experience and well priced. My skin felt great afterwards but the curative properties of the mud are said to help all sorts of health ailments. Would highly recommend giving it a go if curious!

First of all, location was good. Right next to castle and sea, short walking distance from restaurants. But. We felt very disapointed when we arrived to the hotel. There is no restaurant, bar, swimming pool or any other services as promised. Next hotel (Ruutli) on the street is owned by same company and if you wanna go swim or eat, you have to walk to other hotel! I mean that is not like different wing, really to another hotel. Still, biggest issue was cleaning during Covid-19 pandemic. Our room cleaning was not good at all. There were stains all over the room, carbage can was not emptiet and remote control was so filthy that there were brown hand grease around buttons. We stayed 3 days, and i have not seen not even once to someone clean common areas and wipe handrails, elevator buttons etc. During time like this, this must be done multiple times a day... Oh yes, room overall is old and need maintenance. Not good value for money and poor cleaning is unacceptable.

Things we liked: The hotel is very close to the city center, there are plenty of restaurants and cafes around. We were allowed to bring our dog and were provided a room on the ground floor. There is a pretty and small summer garden at the back. Hotel offers free parking. Very nice upper floor library. Disappointing things: 1. The hotel is surrounded by water trenches, so in summer/autumn expect many insects in the room. The rooms are stuffy and obviously don't have A/C, so once you open a window - your drinks and food are covered with fruit flies. Why there are no pre-installed insect repellents in the sockets in the rooms?? 2. Yes, our dog was allowed, however it cost us 25 euros/night for a small dog. 3. The staff was welcoming, but not helpful and sometimes unprofessional. We asked if breakfast can be ordered to out room. Answer - "Not sure, I think it costs". We asked if they could help us out with the flies. Answer - "I think we had a insect killer spray somewhere, maybe on the 3rd floor...". That's it, no solutions provided. After that we decided not to ask for help anymore. 4. Housekeeping was a surprise. We came to a room with dirty bathroom, dead flies on the windowsills, cobwebs on fan blades and dust. The day they cleaned the room they didn't change the bed sheets, didn't remove the dead flies from windowsills, and the floor was most likely not vacuumed. The fresh towels were just tossed on a stool in the bathroom. Nothing "luxurious" if you ask me. 5. The furniture is quite dated and smells funny. Also the bed/mattress was not comfy. We woke up with back pain every morning. 6. The hotel does not have a restaurant. 7. Breakfast was good, but certainly not "best in town". Sometimes the juices served are off, and don't expect that champagne to be offered every day :) Why? No idea. Probably the waitresses just forget sometimes. As for warm breakfast choices - omelet with ham and cheese or fried eggs and bacon. Every day. No other options. I really dislike writing negative reviews. But in this case I cannot keep silent as I find all the positive reviews misleading. Maybe if the prices were lower, I guess some negative aspects could've been ignored. But with such high room rates, I find it unacceptable to have poor service and housekeeping.

We came to Kuressaare for the castle and the opera festival that is held there. We were therefore really happy with the location of the guesthouse, only a bridge to cross! The building itself was oozing with vintage charm and history. Retrieving the key was a bit tricky as there is a very sweet girl who is in charge of the guest house AND the shop... The room we were given is room nr 3 which has a view over a bicycle shed and is situated over the kitchen windows and door. The furniture is basic and cheap but all was very clean. The room is large and it accommodates easily the extra bed we had ordered. We were charged 50 euros extra for the bed although we had booked the room for 3 persons. The bed itself was an unstable foldable affair that was very eager to return to its folded state so a bit of practice and slow motion moves were required in order to keep horizontal at both ends. Our main issue with the room is that it was stifling hot and there was no way to cool it down. This summer has admittedly been a lot warmer than the previous ones but we were not offered a fan either. It's not fun to try to fall asleep in a sauna and not much fun to wake soaking wet. And I did not enjoy trying to get ready to meet the day or go to the opera when my face was dripping with sweat. We tried to avoid the room as much as possible and were glad we only had to stay 2 nights so we could go and sleep somewhere else. On the upside, the breakfasts on the terrace by the moat overlooking the castle were something to remember and it was copious with fresh fruits, croissants, muffins, yogurts, bread and plate of meat and fish!

We had a lovely stay at the Vinoteegi Residents, just a few minutes’ walk to the main Kuresaare square. The owners are very kind and welcoming, and the room was clean and recently renovated. There was a kitchen area with a small fridge and a coffee machine, and the bathroom had a very nice rainfall showerhead. There weren’t too many guests when we were there off-season, so we were able to get a tour of all the rooms—each is decorated differently, but they are all very clean, nicely furnished, and utterly charming. There is also a central lounge area for all residents, with cozy couches, and an outdoor patio. We also ate at the owners’ restaurant Vinoteek Prelude, which was wonderful. I will definitely stay here again during my next stay in Saaremaa.
