0.33km from OreganoI have just stayed here for 2 nights to see my son who is living nearby so I chose it to be near him as opposed to staying nearer the centre. It’s a business, no frills hotel. The entrance is not nice and smells like most of the area and you then take a lift up to reception which is small and joined to the breakfast area. The rooms are basic but ok. There is no real pillow menu (if you like that kind of thing). The bathrooms are nice and the shower works well. There’s clever lighting in the room. I did complain that although the curtains were blackout, they didn’t stretch across the windows so was a bit disappointing but to be fair when I went out they put it an extra curtain very quickly. It’s a very basic hotel and in an unpleasant area where drugs are sold on every corner. It would not be my usual choice and I’d say it’s 3 star not 4 but management were very helpful and acted immediately when needed. Breakfast was extremely basic but you can ask and they will oblige. Would I come back? Possibly, for one or two nights but only to be near my son. There’s also no air con so imagine it’s very hot in the summer. There are not many other choices in the area for the price.
0.6km from OreganoWe stayed at Hotel Prens for 5 nights at the end of a month holiday in Europe. This was our second trip to Berlin so we wanted a different experience than the usual sightseeing trip like a lot of our holidays to capital cities. We absolutely loved the location in Kreuzberg since it was not at all touristy and we felt liked we were living amongst and hanging out with local Berliners. We booked a triple room (even though we were just two of us) since it was the only room available. The room was huge and the extra seating (on the sofa bed) was a bonus. The hotel staff were all lovely and we really enjoyed our chats when having our many coffees in the outdoor courtyard area. Overall this is a really comfortable hotel that is great value for money and in a fantastic area for those who want to experience a taste of real Berlin.
0.83km from OreganoI visit Berlin a lot and had considered staying in motel one, but had a terrible experience with Glasgow Motel One so I have avoided on principle ever since. However, I gave in as the price was so good. I had a queen room which to my delight had what I would consider a double bed. Sadly not a double duvet which seems to be quite standard in Berlin hotels and apartments, and is really, really annoying. Luckily it was boiling hot so it didn't really matter. The air con was very good, fast wi-fi and I could connect music to tv, although not my netflix which was a shame. There was a good amount of hangers for a brief stay, which was a pleasant surprise. Bathroom was perfect size with a very good shower. Surprised that some people have said rooms were small, I thought it was perfectly good size. My room was right at the lift which was a worry as in my experience this often means noisy, but the hotel seemed to have good soundproofing. I didn't hear anything at all from other rooms, or even from the street outside which is busy. I was here during week, so maybe bit noisier at weekend, but the lack of street noise and obviously fantastic double glazing was great. Great area if you want to hang out in Kreuzberg and only couple of stops to Alexanderplatz. It is a budget hotel so you do get what you pay for - the reception area is basically the bar which is a bit odd and there wasn't a lot of atmosphere, but who cares when there is plenty of atmosphere outside the door. I generally stay in an apartment when in Berlin, but very likely to now make motel one my berlin base.

0.94km from OreganoThe location of the hotel is quite convenient, very close to the subway station, and the type of breakfast is also worth the price. However, I have no opinion on this order for the hotel, and I have opinions on Ctrip! I clearly booked that the room was a six-person room (Chinese-speaking). I went in to indicate that the Chinese guests had exclusive access. As a result, the hotel divided me into a six-person mixed room for men and women, and there was no Chinese, all foreign. People, except me, a woman, the rest are all male, ran to the front desk, told me that they are all mixed here, I said that can you divide me into the Chinese room, mixed, OK, no, I Say, then divide me into the girl's room to mix, he did not answer, and stressed with me, here is mixed! Then Ctrip, I ask you, have you not figured out the details of this hotel? Why not make it clear? I was already at the hotel at 10 o'clock in the evening. I really didn't dare to go out to find another hotel. I barely slept for a few hours, didn't take a shower, went to the clothes and backpack at 7 o'clock, think about me. A woman who lives in the same room as five unfamiliar men, if I know this situation, the key is that this situation is completely Ctrip has not communicated clearly with the hotel or is not well known! If the girl is free to go alone, I hope not to book this hotel, not the room is not good, or the breakfast is not good, but this hotel is mixed with men and women! ! !
1.16km from OreganoWe stayed here for three nights and were very impressed. The hotel is extremely clean with comfortable beds. We had simple but cosy room with a view of the river, although the room was small we had sufficient space for our belongings. Breakfast was amazing, warm croissants, fresh bread, selection if meat cheese, fruit, cereal and yogurt, and hot food such as pancakes and scrambled egg definitely worth the money. The hotel is in an excellent location close to Ostbahnhof train station which was ideal for us. Only minor criticism was that the reception staff could have been a little more attentive. On checking out they didn’t ask us if we enjoyed our stay and in general looked a bit miserable. But overall we felt that the hotel was very good value for money and we would have no hesitation in recommending.

1.19km from OreganoThis hotel is in a good location close to transit and in the middle of one of Berlin's multicultural areas, Kreuzkoelln. The people are very friendly, the breakfast is very good and the rooms are clean, the Wi-Fi is good and there are lots of good German and Turkish restaurants close by. One drawback, no elevator, so if you are older and have lots of luggage request a room on the 1st floor.

1.25km from OreganoMe and my partner stayed at the Moxy Ostbahnhof for 6 days during the NY week and this time the experience was not so good. I have stayed in other Moxy's before (Humboldthain Berlin, and Houthavens Amsterdam) but this brunch is quite sub-par in comparison. The room service was always incomplete. Surfaces were not wiped. Dirty mugs left behind and coffee sachets not provided. They were basically supplying clean towels when we requested and doing the bed. That's it. The shower was not working properly so the hot water would regularly shot up and cause scalding. I had to be alert and step alway from it every minute or two in order not to get hurt... The location feels a bit isolated despite access to the train station. There's not much around at walking distance. Also the lobby facilities and entertainment are a bit dull compared to the other brunches.

1.29km from OreganoStayed here in an Outgoing Trip in December with my University and it was lovely. However we had to wait for a while to get our keep card as apparently the room was still getting ready at 6pm, however this was not a big issue as such as we went and explored around! Once in our room it was lovely and the bed were comfy. We spent every night in the bar in the hotel and the bar member was lovely and so helpful and friendly! I believe his name was martine? He was super friendly and made the experience even better! Would stay here again as it was in a super convenient area right next to the train station so made it easier to get around in Berlin.
1.32km from Oreganoeverything was excellent, good location at the station, you can get everywhere by train or bus,l Hotel clean and with nice staff. Although it was integrated in a station it was a very quiet place ...............................................................................................................................................................................................
1.36km from OreganoBerlin is a sprawling city and this area traditionally wouldn’t be an obvious location. However, the East Side Gallery has become an iconic place and this hotel sits across the street from it. It is also more of less integrated to the Arena. The hotel itself is new. Staff were helpful and professional at all times as well. My room was a Wall View one, which I would recommend. It was spotlessly clean with a comfortable chair and foot rest, desk and desk chair, large flatscreen TV and comfortable bed. My only negative comment would be that having the bathroom door right next to the bed isn’t ideal. There was a good quality hot buffet breakfast and I was sat by a window looking at the wall, which in of itself wouldn’t have been cheap at say a cafe. There are very few tourist grade hotels with such access to an iconic piece of 20th century history (all be it a bad one!). Practically, there are some bars and restaurants next to the Arena. The nearby station has a direct S-Bahn link to BER airport. Bars and clubs are generally within walking distance. So, if the late 20th century history of Berlin is of interest, this is a natural property to head for. Otherwise, it is a solid 3/4 star property that is well located for Arena events.
1.37km from OreganoI stayed here for 5 days in early December. I booked a Grande after all the micro rooms in Paris as a splurge. More space than I needed! Shower had great water pressure, the room was evenly warm without having to make adjustments and brightly lit. The breakfast buffet had a terrific selection (go early only because there aren't many spots) and nice quality coffee. The staff in the restaurant were very friendly. Actually everyone was very friendly. I wish the restaurant was open, but it's still being renovated. There are 2 metro stations within walking distance. It's not in a very exciting or interesting neighborhood, which is it's only drawback. HOWEVER, it is about a 5 minute walk to Tresor (with it's neighboring performance space, Kraftwerk, which I loved) and another club (I think it's called Sam's?)next to the northeast entrance of the Heinrich-Heine-Straße. I had no problem getting around. I'd stay there again.

Breakfast is okay, but it is still more monotonous than the domestic hotel. The location is very good, the entrance is the Potsdamer Platz, there is also a subway station, the Brandenburg Gate, the Parliament Building, the Berlin Shopping Center are very close, and there is a Mobai at the door, very convenient. There are also other companies sharing bicycles with children's seats, but the QR code can't be scanned. I don't know how to use them, but the hotel has a bicycle with a child seat for rent, 30 euros a day, 15 euros a day. To the northwest of the hotel is a large Tiergarten park, which is in a good environment with trees, grass and water.
Our room on the 13th floor was standard category. Spartan in decor, purely functional in layout, the room was clean, the tv worked and it had a minibar plus good view . No tea or coffee making facilities but that might just be a Radisson feature. However, when I needed help in checking in on line for a flight home, the wonderful lady at the Customer Relations desk was just amazing. I never established her name, but think her surname was 'Williti'. She is absolutely a gem and patiently managed to get us check-in with EasyJet, and printed out our boarding cards. Thank you so much. My wife and I were then treated to a trip to the 37th floor to enjoy the magnificent views. It was a very kind gesture and one we won't forget. I hope Radisson Alexanderplatz management appreciate they have a star on their team.
The Riu Plaza is a 4-star place owned by the Spanish Riu chain, obviously aimed primarily at business and conference people. But it's a good place to stay for holidaymakers too. - Very well located in Schöneberg, 150 metres from Wittenbergplatz (and a little further to Nollendorfplatz in the other direction), so pretty easy access on the U-bahn to almost everywhere, and only 1 stop from Zoo Garden terminal for airport buses. - large, airy rooms, with good views (we were on 16th floor), comfortable bed, excellent and spacious shower and good bathroom in general, fast lifts - a good bar, with friendly bar and wait staff, and not overpriced, just off the reception desk area - generally friendly and efficient front desk staff (but see further on) - not expensive, at least in winter; we paid only just over 100 euros a night, which is good value Its flaws are minimal, but...: - Breakfast is too expensive. Sure, it has all the usual breakfast buffet stuff, but it significantly adds to the cost of the holiday to cough up 19 euros pp each day (we stayed 4 nights). Having just come from an excellent central hotel in Lisbon, where we had an excellent breakfast for 12 euros pp each morning, it seemed excessive, so we settled for a nearby cafe each day. - Make sure you put the 'do not disturb' sign on your door each day if you don't want to get up early. The first day we were there, Monday, having arrived in Berlin at half past midnight, we were woken up at 8.45 am by a cleaner banging on the door. Happened again at the same time a couple of days later when we forgot to put the sign out. Sorry, when you're staying for 4 days, there's no reason to clean the room that early - and I blame the management, not the cleaners, who just do what they're told. - Some of the staff are a little slapdash. E.g., the kettle in our room had been ruined by an idiot previous occupant trying to use it as a coffee perculator, so there was a baked-on layer of coffee on the bottom of it. On our way out the next morning, we took it down to the front desk - the guy there actually asked us to take it back up to our room on the 16th floor, and assured us it would be replaced by the cleaners. When we returned from sightseeing 6 hours later, guess what - the ruined kettle was still there in our room. Fail! I know this is a 1st-world problem, but the original front desk guy should have just taken the kettle and organised to get it replaced. When we took it down again, this time the woman on the front desk took it from us, and a short time later a new kettle was in our room. I don't want to criticise the place too much, as it was pretty good overall and we'd stay there again. But it felt a little impersonal, and while most of the staff were excellent, some were not well-trained or motivated enough to deal properly with issues, relatively minor though our's were. Thus, it gets 4 stars, not 5.
A particularly good hotel is a German hotel chain. It didn't have breakfast. It seemed very expensive. The hotel location is very good. It is just 5 minutes walk from the Berlin train station, and there are many subways and buses nearby. The hotel rooms are particularly large and clean, with a domestic 4-star feel. Front desk service is average, English needs to be improved, check-in time cannot be advanced, and luggage can be stored for free. The hotel also offers a free German bus day card, which can save a few euros a day. Especially affordable. Highly recommended. The pictures were taken by me in real life, I hope they can help everyone.
We had our honeymoon at Siam Kempinski Bangkok and we really love it. We booked that hotel because our fave restaurant is situated there, sra bua by kiin kiin. So for our first Yr anniversary, we decided last minute to have weekend in Eastern Germany and try 1 night in Aldlon kempinski and decide later on if we will extend 1 more night or drive somewhere again. My husband was so excited for this stay because of what we experienced in Bangkok. So we checked in today and was given room 302.sadly it was facing the back part of the hotel, with scaffoldings/construction site and smoking area for staff. Wanted to let it pass and just close the curtain but I'm sad thinking how excited my hubby was for this stay. I checked our agoda booking and it stated executive room with street view. So gathered my courage and called reception while hubby was parking the car. As soon as I asked if they have a better view room, I was told that the rate is higher as it is a different room type. When I mentiond about the street view stated by agoda, was then told to wait and he will call back if there is an availability. Male staff called back, I think aryan, saying a staff is on the way to assist. We waited 10 mins not touching anything, to be considerate. Moved to 338.okay Street View indeed. But nothing special. But at least no scaffolding. Not complaining coz that was the booked room. But still dreaminh how beautiful Siam was. Lol. Just wondering if this time of pandemic all the rooms are booked out? If not maybe give the best rooms to guests who takes the risk to travel? Just an opinion (of course to guest's advantage) :D So anyway, even though we are a couple, 338 has 2 single beds joined together but weren't stabilised. When my husband sat on one bed, it kinda moved or rolled. We stared at each other and just laughed it out. We couldn't be bothered calling again to ask for a room change nor someone to fix it. We just want to sleep in tonight and check out tomorrow. Thanks to aryan for calling back to check if we are happy with the 2nd room. He offered to send someone to check on the bed issue but hubby was really tired of the long drive, we couldn't be bothered. Still love kempinski. Maybe not to stay here again, but, next time we come back once sra bua is operating again. Lesson learned, don't expect too much.
My husband and I stayed last week for 4 nights. The room was very small and had little storage space. It was a very dark room with one window and the aircon was useless. As it was hot weather, we had the small window open all night which wasn't ideal as, even though we faced the quieter side with no view, we still heard ambulance sirens that disturbed our sleep. The rest of the stay was ok. We had to decide on checking in what breakfast time slot we wanted. We chose 9.30. The good thing was it was self selection - with disposable gloves provided - and there was a good selection. The area was a bit small and crowded but we always got a table. The coffee was awful. No other complaints - the bed and bathroom fine and location good, but would choose a different hotel next time because of the bad points mentioned.
