In the process of moving from 10 acres, we found ourselves ”homeless” for 3 weeks, with two dogs. We reserved a room at Larkspur Landing, upon check-in we were assigned the 4th floor, studio room--with two farm dogs, both fearful of the elevator. Exhausted, worn out mentally & emotionally, we went to the front desk. Amy, the Director of Sales, must have felt our pain. Immediately she found us a 2nd floor, one-bedroom suite, one unit from the stairwell that opened directly onto the dog potty area! AND she upgraded us at no extra charge. Simply put, Amy is a gem, and if I were still a business owner, I would be recruiting her at no-expense-spared !! Very nice accommodations, very clean, very friendly staff, I DON'T WANT TO LEAVE!! Thank you a million times over, Amy & Larkspur Landing!!

Wasn't full to capacity which meant a better selection of requested room type (we like top floor and not by elevator, and received that). Really like the area away from the city centre, more business/industrial here, but still some amenities close by like a Whole foods just a few km away. Starbucks not far for a quick breakfast. Good location, easy to hop on the highway. Only 20 min to downtown. Seems like staffing issues like all service industries these days. But room was good, quiet area, decent bed (comfort). Usual small microwave/fridge. I booked via priceline to get a bit better price and used their 'price breakers' where they give you one of 3 hotels for same price. I was hoping for the other two only because they were suites and had kitchens, but got this one so at first I was a bit disappointed but overall happy as it was newer, modern and cleaner. Restaurant closed down, no breakfast. Pleased with it overall.

The TL;DR is that you want to avoid rooms facing the front of the hotel, especially rooms ending in x24, although rooms ending in even numbers from x20 through x36 should also be viewed with suspicion. The road in front of the hotel curves in a way that any traffic like sonic booms are hitting the hotel. The hotel is located in a mixed use neighborhood with industrial parks, strip malls, high power lines, and apartments. It doesn't get a ton of traffic at night but even the occasional car somehow sounds very loud. Got a room change on my second night. Despite staying during COVID in a nearly empty hotel, I was told the only other available room was on the first floor. I think it was 109. It overlooked the carport. The view wasn't much to look at but it was much quieter. I tend to like Alofts and chose between this location and the one near the Portland Airport. I chose to avoid the latter. Portland has had some post-election rioting with store windows in the downtown area that were not boarded up having been broken this week. The Portland Airport location is in an upscale strip mall that seemed like a magnet for looters. I was renting a car that I didn't want damaged. Sonic booms aside, I guess I liked the layout of the hotel. There is parking in back of the hotel. There is a back door to enter from the parking lot and when checking in, you can have the front desk open that door for you by picking up the phone next to the door. The room was typical Aloft. Clean. Great bed and pillows. However, no bottled water was provided. Short drive to fast food and stores like Barnes and Noble and Nordies Rack. You can probably walk to the local Whole Foods from the property. There are other area hotels. When things settle down politically, I would probably choose to stay in Downtown Portland. Don't get me wrong, it's a decent suburban area with plenty of amenities. I just didn't really enjoy my stay in this hotel.

Room 601 The good: very clean and quiet room, very comfy bed, excellent shower pressure and temperature. WiFi worked very well, cable channels more than ample. Suite layout was great. Breakfast had plenty of options and as good as some five stars I've stayed in. The bad: Not much really, water leaked from shower enclosure, but not much. Two elevators for a building this size would be slow if full occupancy, during my 3 nights stay, seemed at around half. Not much toiletries provide and I had to ask for water, not provided in the room. Overall: Loved it, and would certainly stay again, far far better than Embassy suites in Lynnwood WA, take note.

We chose this hotel for a recent two-night stay because of its handy location. Upon checking in, everything seemed alright. The desk attendant gave us a bit of paper to put on our car dash to protect us from towing. When we checked the room (following a very late check-in), we noticed dark red stains on the bed cover. We flipped it over and turned in. The next day, we found crusty white stains on the main chair in the room, so we decided to avoid that bit of furniture. Then when using the shower, there were multiple dark hairs stuck to the shower walls. Again, without feeling it necessary to make a fuss, we just rinsed them away. The next weird thing was the pathetically weak hairdryer. Why offer one when it's more use to waft a bit of toilet paper over your head?! On top of that, the main light and the extractor fan in the bathroom didn't work. At the end of the stay we'd absolutely had enough of this hotel. It was very lame, and pushed cheapness to the limit. When we got home, we saw that we'd sneakily been charged $10 a day to use their carpark! It's a nasty place to stay, and very poorly run. Stay away.

We were a little skeptical due to the reviews we saw online about staying here, but I have to say, the room was great’! Completely clean and no issues whatsoever. Quiet area and had a great time. Definitely would recommend if you’re wanting to find something cheap for the night! Felt very safe here. Thanks again dunes!😌

The room is as comfortable and warm as ever, and the hotel-style hotel is also fully equipped. Unfortunately, there is no time to use the kitchen. The hotel has a buffet breakfast. The happiest thing is to watch the World Cup while eating breakfast.

Crystal Bartlett really made my stay special. She went above and beyond when I had a problem with my room. Her friendliness and openness just puts you at ease. I had nothing but bad experiences with Extended Stay America and very skeptical about the hotel. It was the only hotel available and I didn't have a choice. Crystal made me want to come back to that location. She should get a significant raise in income and benefits. Daniel Rodes rm 202

I stayed for more than 4 weeks in this hotel during a business trip. The room I had was very spacious and had a fully equipped kitchen. It was also very dark at night and most of the time also very quiet. The hotel can be reached easily from the highway and is close to shops and to my work. The hotel offered free snacks every Monday-Wednesday House keeping was not very good at start. During first part of my stay my room was sometimes not properly serviced and bed-sheets were not changed and several times I had to ask for cleaning as they seem to have forgotten it. This however improved later during my stay. The staff was friendly but sometimes difficult to get in touch with as they were not always present at the front desk. Also not all requests were followed up as for example my request to fix the room-safe. The safe was never fixed. In all I enjoyed my stay and might come back if I am again in the area.

Myself and 2 kids stayed here this past weekend. Never having stayed at an extended stay before, the price seemed decent for the weekend...but it was way overpriced for the experience. The continental breakfast was actually called a grab and go...which consisted of small granola bars, pre-packaged muffins, coffee, and instant oatmeal. Not what I have ever seen as a continental breakfast at any other hotel I have stayed at. The beds were terribly hard...not much sleep occurred during our stay...tossing and turning. We asked for extra pillows...we were told they didn't have extras. And I called the front desk the evening before we checked out for a late check out...call went to voice mail times! Never have stayed at a hotel where you couldn't contact anyone at the front desk. When we checked out at 7am...the lights were off at the front counter. This seemed like a security concern to me. No one there to track who was coming at going during the night. Elevator is not locked with access only with a room key...anyone could have entered the building at any time. I also noticed that the floor was filthy in the kitchen area behind the bathroom door. I wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone. Unless you like to sleep on concrete and never need anything at all during your stay.
