This is our first time staying at a Tru Hilton Hotel. We have stayed at meaning Hilton Hotels in this was by far the worst. We found hairs in the shower and also in one of the beds. There were bugs in the floor. After we complained we were told that housekeeping was not in that day. Why would they would put us in a room if it has not been cleaned??? We were initially told no other rooms were available but finally after the bug issue we were moved to a different room. I can only assume it was more expensive which was why they told us it wasn't available at first. I would never stay here again.

We stayed here one night and I should note it was the first Friday of the first weekend of Texas' spring break. If the hotel wasn't sold out, it was pretty close to it. - Staff (Kristal) checking in was great. I did see that there were lots of kids (was told a football team) around and asked if we could be located a bit aways from those chunk of rooms. Kristal understood and put us on the 3rd floor (they were on the 2nd). - The sink in the bathroom wouldn't drain on checkin. The manager (also great) came up and fixed it right away. Given how busy the hotel was I appreciated he did this quite quickly. It was minor issue that he resolved right away (thank you!). - Room was of average cleanliness. - I like that Springhill doesn't use the prepackaged shampoo, etc..but the dispenser in the shower was out. - One reason we picked this hotel was for the EV destination charger. This was not working and based on reviews has not worked since March of 2020. Marriott please remove this as an amenity of this hotel. I will call next time I book anywhere to confirm. - I'm not sure what the staff could have done, but even though we were on the second floor, the kids staying at hotel were running around, opening/closing doors, etc..(especially outside our door) till 1:30/2am. If I had to do it over again I would have called down (which I didn't). It wasn't a single room but many and in the hallway. It did bring down my review as we slept horribly for one night but note this is most likely a one off issue and not necessarily the fault of the hotel.

We had the misfortune of staying on the same floor of the incredibly inconsiderate Fatma and Farah H, the previous two complaints. In all of my years of staying in hotels, never have I stayed next to a guest who was as intolerably loud and disruptive. First of all, they left their dog alone in the room from about 7pm until sometime in the middle of the night, which the hotel tells you specifically not to do. The poor dog barked incessantly without stopping, you could hear it throughout the entire floor of the hotel. Then when they eventually returned home in the middle of the night, they turned on the tv, cranked the volume and left it on until morning. They left 3 bags of garbage outside their door and took phone calls on speaker phone in the hallway for us all to enjoy. When we finally couldn’t handle it anymore and decided to complain to front desk, there were guests from 5 other rooms in line to make the same complaint. If ever a guest warranted an eviction, it was these people. The hotel had been dealing with complaints about them for days and were eventually left with no option. I credit the hotel for standing up for the other guests so we could all enjoy a reasonable stay.

This hotel is OK, that's the best way to describe it. The bed was comfortable and clean and the common area is very nice, but everything else seemed to be struggling. First, this is clearly not a new hotel, but a renovated one. And I don't know if I've ever seen a renovation so poorly done. Paint was uneven, cracks left unfixed, the tile in the shower looked like a topographic map, the caulking was globbed on, the vanity is pulling away from the wall. It should have been a nice, streamlined design, but it gave the impression the room was old and crumbling. The room was generally clean, but housekeeping is literally cutting corners. There was dust on the windowsills and the corners of the shower were mildewing, likely due to the poor caulk installation, but still. Those things are relatively minor. The real problem that this hotel seems to be having is the HVAC. The hallway is muggy and smells like the last carpet shampooing never properly aired out. The AC in the room had trouble keeping up and managing humidity. The room smelled slightly vaguely musty but I couldn't put my finger on it until I realized right before checkout that the carpet in front of the AC was wet; it leaks.

Never before in all my years of traveling have I had an experience like my recent stay at this property. This Holiday Inn Express is about 5 minutes from Corpus Christi Downtown, in a bit of an Industrial area. We've stayed here several times and it's a nice, very clean property. We like this location because it's not in the middle of all the traffic, and not next to the beach (more traffic and higher prices). It also has freeway access which makes getting around town an absolute snap. When my wife and I pulled into the parking lot we were a little concerned that the property was closed for some reason. There wasn't a single car in sight. So very odd. We pulled under the canopy and saw the lights were indeed on, so we walked inside. A very nice young man "Chris" greeted us and checked us in. We asked Chris why the parking lot was empty? He explained to us that the hotel "had no guests" today. LOL, he must have seen the concern on our faces and soothed our nerves by explaining that the day after Thanksgiving is a traditionally slow day at this property. Calmed by these words we headed up to our room. Turns out we had been upgraded to a larger, corner room. Really appreciated that too. Over the next two days, we came to feel spoiled like we've never experienced. Instead of property staff appearing bored and lifeless, they made every effort to treat us well and make us feel at home. We came to know the Manager "Lydia" and the lady that runs the breakfast buffet (which by the way was in full swing despite only the two of us eating). They all took care of us, and helped answer all our questions about where to go and what to do. I've just never, ever felt so comfortable and at home in a hotel. I didn't think it was possible to feel this way. Kudos to every single member of this team. It boggles my mind that you would be so professional, given the empty property. We never saw a single shortcut taken. My wife and I had the full Holiday Inn Express treatment, and a little extra to boot. I'm humbled to know that these good people took our comfort so seriously. I really believe that they are a credit to the entire Holiday Inn Express brand, and should all be awarded for their obvious professionalism and commitment to customer service. Every traveler should experience staff like this. I can't say enough nice things about them.

Negatives: After paying for the room, which is not cheap, they charge you to park. Rooms have balconies but you can’t access them. It’s a real bummer, but they don’t look great either so it may be a good thing. We were on the 17th floor and could still hear people revving their engines LOUDLY on the street between here and the water. The balcony doors are NOT well insulated. No breakfast is included. There are restaurants, but nothing is included. The grout in the bathroom was a bit grungy, especially near the tub. They don’t service your room daily. I hate this. This is a perk of staying in a hotel, coming back to a clean room with the bed made, fresh towels, etc. You have to go ask for anything you want. They service when you check out or every FIVE days. Terrible pressure in shower head. Positives: The location is great. The views of the water are beautiful. The lobby is impressive. Every single staff member we met was super friendly and helpful. We couldn’t have asked for nicer staff. The pool is great. Large, indoor and outdoor. Plenty of deck area around it with lots of chairs and loungers. If you drink, there is a bar right by it. It’s great for cooling off! The bedding was soft and lush feeling. Bed is comfortable. Plenty of toiletries provided and a hair dryer available for use. Aside from grout in bathroom, a very clean room. Good sized mini fridge in room, as well as a microwave and coffee maker. Beautiful patio out front overlooking the water. Despite the negatives, I would stay again.

We stayed at this hotel for one week. While it could use a few upgrades ( one of which was in progress - carpet cleaning) such as new mattresses, overall the place was well-kept and clean. Staff is friendly and helpful, especially Lisa and Mary, who do an excellent job of maintaining the breakfast buffet, even up to they last minute it is open. They will help you if you can't find something. I also saw them help other guests with the waffle iron and other items. Food is average but hot and fresh and there is a good variety. Rose takes good care of linens. We had everything we needed and it was clean and fresh. The pool is also well-kept and clean. We'll be back if we are able to visit Corpus Christi again next year.

The driveway was blocked off due to the ceiling falling down from the carport. The lobby was a bit out dated and a little musty. The staff was very nice and quick to try to assist. The carpet leading the the elevators was old and heavily stained. The carpets in the hallway had not been vacuumed rather little piles of dirt and debris were swept along the sides. The sheets had not been changed since last renter, their was dirt where someone's feet had been. The stains on the couch was disgusting and the layers of dust was just sad. I couldn't stay, i walked right back down and checked out. The ladies at the desk were very nice and apologetic. The owners need to invest in updates and the cleaning staff needs to do a better job.

I really enjoyed my stay at this location. The hotel seems very new and has a very friendly staff. The hotel is located on the edge of the city entrance. It was a 10-15 minute drive to padre island to visit whitecap beach. It was a 10-12 minute drive to see to the north shore to visit attractions, such as the USS Lexington, the Texas State Aquarium, and The North Beach. All the food, shopping and fun is minutes away off of staples ave, which was a short 7 min drive. The pool was open for use during my stay. I did not partake in the morning breakfast, however it was served each morning. I would recommend this hotel if you are willing to drive to most point of interest in the city. Would stay again if I ever visit the area again.

We so appreciate the service from the Motel 6 staff located at 6301 IH 37, Corpus Christi, TX 78409-2719 My husband and I have stayed here for approximately one year. ALL of the staff has made it such a comfortable stay!! The service was outstanding. April (the General Manager) is on top of her game!! She went the extra mile to ensure our customer satisfaction and the other administrative staff (Ashley, Irma and the other administrative staff) were polite and courteous at all times. Maria, Deyaira and Jacqueline treated us with the utmost and respect and warmth as they diligently kept the rooms clean and daily provided for our needs. Last but not least the maintenance crew (Miguel and Giovonni) were able to get the job done without any delay and were very seasoned maintenance professionals. I understand that loss of occupancy during covid might have taken a toll on some hotels. I'm assuming that's the reason the owners of this hotel haven't put any funds into improvements - wallpaper in all hallways and the rooms is peeling - it's been reglued (not very well) and stapled in so many locations - it just looks gross. The elevators aren't very clean. Carpet and furniture are dated. Towels are thin. Our bathroom had mold, even though they'd tried to paint over some of it. The lighting in the rooms is too dim, and there's an outlet only on one side of the bed. TV is old but big. There's a microwave, which is nice, but it will take 4x the normal time to heat something. Also a refrigerator in the room. Coffee pods didn't fit into the machine but still worked (still not great coffee - we went out for it). Front desk staff was friendly. We slept ok as long as we cooled the room before bed then turned off the in-room AC unit before we went to sleep. Breakfast was typical (yuck - didn't even bother). Pool area didn't seem too bad. We needed a hotel in this area and this one had the best reviews; I'm not sure why. But if it's the best one, I'd hate to see the others. If we had to come to this area again, we would look for something better, even if it was an extra 10-15 minute drive.

The French guy at the front desk is very warm and handsome, ah, forgive my little nympho. As long as there is a parking space on the doorway, the hotel does not have a parking lot and you can pay the parking fee at the door. Next to it is a police station, which feels much safer in an instant.

The room was filthy upon arrival. Toilet was dirty. Used soap in the shower. Crumbs left over from where the stove was used. The counters, table, and desk were greasy and dirty. The bed looked as though it had recently been slept in. Crumbs all over the kitchen and sofa area. I arrived after 9:00pm so the room had plenty of time to be cleaned prior to arrival. The manager on duty did finally clean the room and offered snacks, but after a long day of work and travel, I just wanted to go to bed, which was delayed due to waiting for the cleaning of the room. When asked if there was another room available, I was told that was the last room. In the midst of the multiple apologies, I was informed that I had been upgraded at no charge. That statement only made things worse in my mind. If that was indeed the last room available, it was not an upgrade, it was a room rental. Secondly, as a Diamond member, a room upgrade, if rooms are available, are one of the perks upon request. No complimentary upgrade can be provided if that is the only room left. I do feel that the manager did try to make things right as best he could, but I will NEVER stay at that location ever again and I will not recommend this property to any of my clients or business partners.

Air conditioner worked well; fan ran very low when compressor was off. Bed comfort was fair, but pillows were hard. TV was mounted on wall—out of my way, since I never watch it. Internet used portal login. Without the extra cost boost, Internet speed was very slow (0.80mbps), but it was fast enough for e-mail and web browsing. (But... I had to log in again every time I restarted the computer.) Room had two beds, two chairs, a tiny night stand(fastened to wall), one table (fastened to wall), and one luggage stand. Adequate electrical outlets (but it was difficult to insert plugs into the outlets). One mirror (behind wash bowl). One wall hanger for clothes (one hook was missing). Room somewhat small. Noisy bathroom fan comes on with light—a disadvantage. It was so noisy that I unplugged it during my stay. Toilet height low (15”). Countertop height good (33”), but wash bowl protruded 3” above counter top. Shower was good, but… had shower stall only—no tub. Shower stall was small, and shower door was difficult to close (I was afraid I would break it). It was difficult to prewarm the shower without getting water on the floor. Two bars of soap were the only comps provided—no shampoo or tissues. No carpet in room. When I turned on the faucet, the aerator sprayed a tiny drizzle of water sideways! (Someone had apparently tried to increase the flow and messed it up—I fixed it a little bit.) Faucet had extremely parsimonious flow restrictor—flow rate was about 1 gallon per hour. I would have removed it, but then it would spray water all over the counter. No fridge or microwave in room. Work light over table did not work (but their maintenance man fixed it relatively quickly after I reported it). No elevator or sprinkler. About seven o’clock on Friday evening, some people came and started cutting the limbs off a beautiful palm tree by the street. That made me very upset because I thought they were going to take it down, but they only trimmed off some of the dead limbs and then left. The room was fairly quiet within, although I often heard noises from outside. The room door did not close tightly; I could see light all around it. This hotel is a good choice if you are travelling with pets, especially dogs.
