Traveling with a family of four - two teenagers. The room was spacius (actually two conecting rooms), the AC was good (it was 35 degrees outside...), easy to find parking in the street outside, close to shops and restaurants. Breakfast better than most places; bread, ham, cheese, juice, coffe as you request, fruit and the usual cakes and jam +++ Fantastic roof top terrasse with view over the city. Will stay here again!

We had been looking forward to this at the end of our stay in Sicily and unfortunately it really took the shine off a wonderful trip. The hotel is grim and shabby. rotting window frames, tired decor. It is located in an area that didnt feel that safe and the parking was actually two blocks away on the road. Our car was OK but we felt worried about it nonetheless as the area feels a bit dodgy. Staff were nice and helpful. breakfast was fine, no problem there. Quite limited on facilities, the internet was basically non-functional, the towels were old, only two tiny sachets of hair shampoo, no conditioner, and no soap to wash hands with. All just a bit grim really. We had two weeks in Sicily and this was not value for money at all. Recommend finding somewhere else. there are some lovely places just around the corner!!!

Palazzo dei Corsari is housed in a restored historic building dating back to the 16th century and has been inhabited for centuries by shipowners and privateers in the center of the historic center of Trapani. It still survives many traces of ancient history: a stone staircase, open beams, windows and arches. However, everything else leaves the desire to be better. The service is almost the same as in all the apartments. Bedclothes, old, sometimes torn. Reception is only a few hours a day. The only advantage is this great location.

This is a family-run B&B which has been going since the 1970s and is a great little standby in an atmospheric palazzo in the centre of the old quarter of Trapani. It is simply furnished, with bathrooms separate and across the corridor from the bedrooms, and - as far as I'm aware - there is no lift to help negotiate the 3 or 4 flights of stairs involved in reaching it. But it is cosy, very centrally located for buses / ferries / restaurants and other services, etc. and the owner couldn't be more friendly or helpful. We have stayed here on a number of occasions since the early 1990s and - for the price - would thoroughly recommend it to other travellers on a budget.

We stayed at Ai Lumi for 3 nights from 16/1/2020 to check out this morning 19/1/2020. We were in room 32, there are stairs, lots of stairs but the accomodation is really good, the rooms are spacious and comfortable, in a really beautiful old building. The rooms surround a large internal courtyard. It is excellent value for money as there is a sitting area, a kitchenette with table and chairs, a small balcony, a very good bathroom, all nicely styled and spotlessly clean. Plenty of good quality towels, tea and coffee and a kettle. The staff here are really excellent, the owners I assume, are helpful, pleasant and will get your luggage to your room and down again..The breakfast is in Ai Lumi's restaurant, Alfredo the owner is a gem. Such a terrific host, we had breakfast here as part of our room rate, but had a lunch here and 2 dinners as well. The food was exceptionally good, fresh, well cooked and a varied menu, you would be hardpressed not to like it. The wine list is good too, with lots of local wines, Alfredo can help you decide. I can't recommend Ai Lumi highly enough, and we hope to return to Trappani soon, and would definitely stay here again.

After visiting over 100 hotels I usually write a basic review, but in this case experience went completely on upper level – after booking we got clear instructions for parking, when we came to hotel, host Rosanna was really kind and help us with all informations – when we needed any info, she was checking and calling around. If we go back to hotel - rooms are really big, nice decorated and are real mixture of modern art and tradition. Hotel is located in the historic centre, so almost everything is at walking distance. You have different possibilities of parking near the hotel (South or North side of Trapani old centre - price 0,80 eur/h or bigger parking at start of Trapani old town with price 0,10 eur/h). Breakfast was nice, Rosanna made us bacon&eggs, there were also other pastries. During our stay my girlfriend had a birthday and Rosanna took a care for a cake, so everything was perfect – with big thanks to our host, who treated us like kings.

We stayed 5 nights at La Gancia. The hotel is a great base for going to the Egadi islands and nearby beaches during the day and enjoying the old town in the evening. Our room was large, air conditioned and had a seaside view. You can actually swim in that town beach on a nice day when the water is clear! Sometimes it was windy and not able to swim. Breakfast on the rooftop is nice and service is friendly. With COVID, the kind waitress will take your buffet order on paper and send to your table. So many restaurants in the area, you are spoilt for choice. The nearest car park is a 8 min walk. Walk inside Via Garibaldi street not on the sea street to protect from the sun.

This is the place to stay if you need to get to the airport or take the aliscafo to the islands. It’s no more than a 5-minute walk from the aliscafo terminal, the ticket office, the bus stop, and many taxi companies. It’s also a 5-minute walk from some of the best local restaurants and some of the important tourist sites of Trapani. You can’t do better in terms of location. The hotel is basically your old-fashioned small Italian hotel but updated with modern bathrooms and efficient air conditioning. The management and staff are very welcoming and helpful; the little black-and-white mascot dog Willie is also welcoming although he is too old and tired to be very helpful. A basic but good breakfast is served, with excellent cappuccino. A sense of helpfulness seems to spill over from the staff to the guests; we were surprised to see that many of the breakfasters picked their dirty dishes up and took them to the serving counter.

The room has two beds, a television, air conditioner, very nice bathroom and balcony. The owners put a lot of work into this B&B and it definitely shows. Fabio and his daughter picked me up from the train station and went out of their way for me throughout my stay (taking me to the supermarket, printing my boarding pass, an d researching the bus schedule and pickup points to the Palermo airport). They had a nice breakfast of pastries, coffee, yogurt and fruit. The kitchen is nicely equipped and I enjoyed making meals in it. I truly enjoyed my stay here and Fabio and his family made the stay all the better.

As part of a full Sicilian immersion, we booked three days in Trapani. The Giardini Mon Plasir was a standout as we vetted possibilities for our stay. When you read the reviews, you quickly find a theme - elegant surroundings, fantastic service. From the minute we were greeted by the owner, Agostino and Alessandro, bartender, concierge and on-demand chef, we felt part of a noble family! The villa is small (six generous rooms), with a garden, pool, cozy places to sit and enjoy a Sicilian mojito, and a true oasis in a sometimes busy city. Location is superb, fifteen minutes walk to the funicular up to Erice. Literally a five minutes to an outstanding museum founded by Agostino’s family. Mozia Island, the salt flats and the Marsala wine production area makes a handy and fun day trip. We used Elena Rotkowska (rutkowska.elena@gmail.com) as a guide - superb! In conclusion, our time in Trapani was special due to our stay at Giardini Mon Plaisir and the attention paid us by Alessandro and Agustino. Book it if you are lucky enough to find it available!

This hotel was an amazing surprise once we arrived at the city at night and it was a little bit difficult to find it even with the GPS app but once we found it, it was wonderful to see how beautiful and warmful people work there, specially a very nice girl called Emanuela who was really helpful and patient, she´s absolutely nice! Pros: the staff is amazing; the room is absolutely delightful and clean- the bed is awesome! The breakfast is deliciously tasty and well served. The hotel was recently opened so everything is brand new with a wonderful decoration taste; it feels really nice to stay in this hotel. Cons: the location is little bit hard to find and the hotel doesn´t have parking lot, the service is provided by a private parking that they phone when you solicitate at the reception. Payment is made directly to the person from the parking services.
