I cannot say enough good things about this spot! The staff were relaxed but very helpful and recommended free parking nearby. This hotel is dog friendly - we have a large dog, and the owner didn't blink when we walked in the door! Check in and out was simple and quick, and the location was great. The included breakfast was also delicious and a TON of food, complete with local pastries! I will definitely stay here again.

Had a really fantastic stay in Siena with these guys. The hotel room are great very modern clean and comfortable. We were able to park directly across the road free of charge. Breakfast is included but we payed an additional €4 each for breakfast upgrade There was fruit ,cereals ,cheese hams and meats toast etc. We were offered scrambled eggs every day they were super. The hotel is about 20 mins walk to the centre. It’s quite a steep hill but it will keep you fit. After two days we found a set of escalators that take a lot of the hills out of play. Sheer pleasure Very pleasant staff. Made the stay very enjoyable. Really good value for the money 👍😊

I chose the NH Siena for its location. It's located a few steps from the historic city center and from Piazza del Campo. The property is very nice especially the hall and the breakfast room. I stayed in a standard room. The room had a decent size. The bed was comfortable and the pillow very relaxing. My room was on the 4th floor and it was quiet. The bathroom was big but it needed some update, especially the bathtub that had a small window and during the shower, the water was leaking outside of the tub. Staff was nice but the lady that made our check-in gave us some wrong information. The bus stop is outside the hotel and very convenient especially to go back to Florence. The train station is at less than a 10-minute drive. The taxi charged me 8 euros from the train station. Overall, the hotel is good and I would recommend it.

We went to Siena for a few days city tour without the children and found it to be one of the nicest places we had ever been to. The hotel was exceptional and great value for a 3 star. The room had the most amazing terrace which had fabulous views of the city and was only a 10min walk to the Palio centre which was stunning. The staff at the hotel were great and the breakfast varied and fresh. We would go back again as we love Italy. Thanks Ps, we travelled in June 2018 and forgot to write a review

In a beautiful, historical 16th-century palace with carefully preserved stunning original features, these luxurious apartments are just steps from the ancient historic heart of Siena. WiFi is free here. The original design of the building is attributed to the famous Italian architect Baldassere Peruzzi and dates back to about 1520. The building has been owned and managed by the Coli Bizzarrini family from 1906 right up until the present day and the Italian Minister for Cultural Art has declared it as being of particular historical interest. The ancient historic beauty of the building mirrors its surroundings in the heart of the magnificent city of Siena and the hotel has panoramic views of the entire city. The beautiful original features provide a glimpse into the building’s illustrious past. The ancient beauty of the apartments makes them the ideal base from which to experience the ancient beauty of this magnificent city. A typical Italian breakfast is available at the bar from 08:00 to 09:30, with cappuccino, chocolate, hot and cold drinks and juice.

First things first, the location of this B&B is perfect; short walking distance to the historic city centre. That, combined with the low price, would be the main argument to stay here. The villa itself is in our opinion outdated and, frankly, has a bit of a creepy ambience due to the oldfashioned furniture, creaking floor boards, and weird art. The breakfast was OK (one sweet croissant, nice, fresh omelet, nice, stale bread, not so nice). It was served outside in the garden. The garden has great potential, but is not very well maintained. A last point of annoyance was that the owner indicated the B&B has its own parking; it hasn’t and you have to park in the streets behind the B&B. This is not a big deal when communicated clearly, but the unclearity was annoying because we had to circle the block multiple times searching for the B&B’s parking. All in all, Villa Fiorita is a beautiful building with great potential as a B&B, if it were better maintained.

I'm not sure what is best about Borgo Grondaie — the lovely staff, or the lovely hotel and grounds. Both are excellent. This family-owned and operated hotel is absolutely the sweetest hotel I've ever stayed in. Friendly, welcoming, and helpful. The hotel came highly recommended to us by a close friend, and we could not have been happier with our experience. The daily breakfast buffet was lovely — be sure to ask for an espresso or cappuccino because they gladly make you one each morning. The hotel is just outside of Siena city walls, so you need to taxi in (unless you don't mind a rather steep, long walk every day). But, the front desk will gladly call you a taxi, which costs less than 10 Euro each way (NOTE: Taxis are not easy to find back. They all are located in one central spot within the city compound. Be sure to ask where that is, so that you're not walking for miles searching). The hotel rooms are spacious and very clean. The housekeeping staff is so charming. There are two washers and one dryer on the premises, however if you plan to do laundry — it takes several hours to do a few loads, so make time for that in your schedule. Also, no ironing boards/irons provided in rooms — one is provided in the laundry room for all guests. Not convenient, so be sure to pack wrinkle-free clothing. We learned that too late. The hotel is located a block from a Coop store, which has all sorts of food/goods and is nice to have nearby for nights when you do not feel like eating out, but still need a quick bite to bring to your room. We would stay here over and over. Thank you for a wonderful experience, and for making our short time in Siena something to always remember.

We didn't have particular high expectations for our visit to Casa di Osio. This stemed from our original booking whereby we were unintentionally charged twice and upon requesting a refund and chasing this up it took nearly 2 months for the refund to occur, even with the help of hostelworld whom we made the booking through. We followed every instruction by emailing 2 days before we arrived with our expected time of arrival into Siena and on the day we arrived 5 minutes after this. However, upon arrival at the b&b no-one was there. In the key secure box there was not a key with our name on it as it said there would be and reception was shut. The only people who were present were some builders working on one of the rooms. Under there instruction we decided to wait and in the mean time rang and texted the number we had been given on the booking information only to find the number was incorrect. We also emailed and received no reply to those either. After 30 minutes one builder took pity on us and rang the owners, and subsequently the builder let us in telling us the owner was 20 minutes away. After waiting over an hour we decided to go and explore Siena (a beautiful place). Upon relaxing in our room at around 5pm later that afternoon (we arrived at 11.50am) the owner eventually showed up. When I asked what time breakfast was she replied that our room didn't include breakfast which came as a surprise to us, especially as it is advertised as a B&B. Looking at the small print it does state that only standard rooms receive breakfast and the basic room we were staying in did not, but we didn't feel this was particularly clear on booking. To their credit we were provided with free use of the kitchenette which was much appreciated and a pleasant surprise. All in all, it is safe to say we felt rather neglected during our stay. On the basis of the above things, being supplied with only 1 toilet roll and no spares and so having to purchase our own, just made things worse. In all honesty I wonder that they just weren't expecting us, as another group of people seemed to get a very different reception. The actual room and general facilities were brilliant, as was the location, hence the 3 stars. We are aware that the more that went wrong, the more frustrated we became, but heed warning from this review before you decide to book.

We just recently returned from a 6 night stay at the GH Paradiso apartment. We were 2 couples who used Siena as a base for a 4 day wine tour. The location of the apartment was perfect as it was a 5 minute walk to the tour pick up point. The 2 bedroom apartment fit our needs well. Both bedrooms were spacious and the beds were very comfortable. There were 2 bathrooms, but only one shower. The shower is very small( as are most showers in older Italian hotels) but it was recently remodeled with newer tiles and fixtures and was quite nice. There is a small lounge area with a sofa and dining table w/ chairs. The kitchen was small but we really only used it for breakfast so it met our needs. There is a nice coffee shop just downstairs where we would get cappuccino and pastry if we did not feel like making breakfast. The apartment has a washing machine which was handy as we were halfway through a 3 week trip. There were no instructions with the machine and I am not sure we ever figured it out completely, but we did manage to get clean clothes. We didn’t try to call the management for help but we probably should have. There were windows from the lounge, kitchen, and front bedroom overlooking the piazza. It was lovely to open them and watch the daily activity. One problem - the week we were there they had a celebration every evening for the recent Palio victory. They would play loud recorded music until late in the night. It made sleeping in the front bedroom difficult. Overall- We loved the apartment and location. It was very close to a grocery store for basic foods, and we got takeout pizza next door after long days of touring. Check in and check out was easy, we got all of the instructions by email and never saw anyone. One thing to be aware of is that this was a 3rd floor apartment and there is no elevator- just a narrow marble staircase to access the apartment. We had a great time here and would recommend it.

We could not fault our 2 night stay at this hotel, from receiving good information about not following the Sat Nav, to the room upgrade and service, it was a super experience from start to finish. We were offered assistance with our bags on check in and out. Reception staff were welcoming and available at all times. Breakfast was exceptionally good and the servers helpful and friendly. We had drinks at the bar both nights which were excellent, just a shame that there are less guests than normal to provide more atmosphere. Our room was clean, well appointed, the bed extremely comfortable and all linens were pristine. It was not ‘tired’ at all, just classic and traditional in our opinion. We never expected and could not care less about a “turndown service”. I am never sure what constitutes a 5 star hotel as it seems to vary but whatever the classification of this hotel, I would recommend it and definitely stay there again.

Villa del Sole Siena was one of the most beautiful places the family and myself have ever stayed. It overlooks the picturesque countryside of Siena and I could not imagine a better view. The accommodation was very modern and spacious. What made our trip however was Gianluca. He was extremely helpful and gave us many insightful details about Siena and it’s incredible history. We were offered to be taken into San Gimignano for a day trip followed by lunch at Sant’Agnese Farm. It was a trip we will remember and the food we had was delicious. The lasagne- the best we ever had. If this trip from Gianluca presents itself we definitely recommend. Piazza Del Campo (central Siena) is only a 5 minute walk away with restaurants in between. However, Villa del Sole also has its own restaurant yet we were unable to try this during our 3 night stay. There is a continental breakfast each morning with lots of different foods ranging from cereals, pastries and fruit. As a coffee connoisseur, they also make a great strong cup Of coffee free of charge at any point during the day. In short, if you are in Siena look no further than the stunning Villa del Sole.

Nicolas was a wonderful host and stayed up late to meet us! The castle is beautiful and is in a beautiful countryside very close to Siena. We had a wonderful view from our window. The castle is very modern with high vaulted ceiling. A/C in each room. We had a superb breakfast each morning with fresh fruit as well. Nicolas even took us to his families restaurant close by “Le Pierre Vive”. It had the freshest, most wonderful Tuscany dishes! We loved it so much, we ate there twice!! Highly recommend staying at the Castle and visiting their wonderful restaurant!! Highly recommend this lovely Castle experience. We even bought wine and honey made from Nichola’s vineyards!! Hope to visit again soonest!!
