Great location, nicely arranged beach, romantic jetty, mysterious 😊 mangrove trail, lush garden, great chef, swimming pool that could be enjoyed by a family - variety of depth and spacious enough to be enjoyed by several people at once, safe parking spot. And don't forget those mesmerizing sunsets one can enjoy endlessly! Hotel management promptly organized us a promised seasonal discount beforehand and prepped the paperwork to speed up check-in process, that was greatly appreciated after a long drive from Phnom Penh. Shoutout to Vuthy, waiter or shift manager at the restaurant - so attentive to details! We didn't want to burden restaurant with our diet restrictions (we prefer to eat paleo), but as soon as he realized we don't eat flour made food, he quickly got around by offering some nice substitutes for the breakfast, that left us with happy tummy. He went extra mile trying to organize the next day breakfast with the kitchen beforehand, as it was supposed to be his day off - attempt was highly appreciated. However him not being around made such a huge difference as the other day shift was not getting it whatsoever and as per usual they just ended up blaming us for that lol oh well, we've been around long enough and take it easy when it comes to that. As I mentioned, garden and beach set ups are very nicely arranged. However with the given climate it puts each villa in virtually permanent shade. With lots of fabrics - curtains, sofa etc - villa smells moldy; and unless A/C is on, it's unbearable to be inside because of that. Bathroom and toilet arrangements are nice, with mosquito net at the door. Another thing that took me totally by surprise: upon reservation I mentioned to the management we were going to their resort to celebrate my birthday. To what they replied they were very happy to hear we chose their resort for such occasion. However not a single compliment was offered from the resort for the birthday! A flower would suffice. Just a token of appreciation that is common in hospitality industry. Such indifference did not make less of a birthday for me, it's just very unusual to see a 4-star resort offering nothing for their guest special occasion lol One more instance that goes rather on to the 'Cons' - we were enjoying seaview on the beach when without any prior notification 2 people started spraying insecticide around while many guests, some with kids, were enjoying the beach and pool side! Such things should be coordinated on a different level at a 4-star hotel: prior communication would help. Overall, very mixed feeling from the stay. Definitely go there for the sunsets, dine in their restaurant when Vuthy is around. Is it worth money value wise? Hard to say, hard to say. 😊

I’ve been to Kep many times and always in places more that twice as expensive as this. This is the BEST place I’ve ever stayed in. It’s simply but beautifully designed. We had an air con room which I recommend. All the bungalows are set in a quite densely packed tropical garden with trees and plants of all many varieties - including a huge Cashew tree! The pool is a simple but perfectly formed infinity pool made of a stunning dark grey/green slate like stone (called schiste, I asked). It has discrete steps and a small, contained child’s area both hidden beneath the pools surface. The pool is both beautiful and functional. The sort of pool you would expect to see in a top notch resort costing a great deal more. The reception area is also the bar and restaurant area. I am a vegan, my son is gluten free and my with is Cambodian. We stayed for two weeks and we all managed to eat well with reasonable variety. My only gripe is maybe that in this modern age of eating we live in, that they should add to the menu more vegan and gluten free options. The staff we very friendly especially the kitchen staff who store my sons gluten free bread and my vegan options in their fridge. We paid £16 a night plus an additional $5 a night for an extra bed in the room for our kids. Our food and drink bill for 14 nights was $530 which included the cost of the additional bed. That’s three meals a day for two adults and two kids! Ok the rooms could be bigger and it would be better if it were set a little further from the road but overall a 5 star stay! Friendly staff and just a great vibe all around!

Our family had an enjoyable stay there. Staff are very helpful and friendly. However the reception area can be brighter as it's sometimes hard to see if anyone is at the reception! Room was nice but beds are a bit small. We are five people and though we were charged for an extra guest, no extra bed/mattress was provided and three of us had to squeeze into a double bed. Some parts of the hotel look a bit run down but the lush surroundings is really really lovely and it's a quiet area- no fear of noise from night clubs or karaoke! Also, we felt the housekeeping was very thorough in their cleaning. Enjoyed the breakfast area as well. Overall a good experience, just wish we could sleep more comfortably.

Stayed at Tara lodge with some friends last weekend. We stayed in one standard double room and one twin room. Definitely had an awesome stay. Rooms are spacious and lovely decorated. In the twin room there are two double beds and both rooms are with plenty of space. Beds were comfy and the bathroom facilities adequate. The lodge is by the national park and very quiet. It’s about 10 mins tuk tuk ride away from the kep beach and kep market and tuk tuk cost $2.5 - $3. The grounds of the lodge is very well landscaped and it’s lush and very well maintained by the staff. The tropical feel is very relaxing and it was really lovely sitting on the large terrace out front our rooms and just watched the rain fell through thick foliage. The salt water pool is amazing and there are plenty of deck chairs for all the guests. Overall the whole place is really a paradise. To make the experience even better were the staff. Alexia the manager and Tymom at the front desk were so lovely, approachable and helpful. They paid attention to details and made us felt very welcome. Alexia was very responsive from answering enquiries over the phone to booking and to assisting us on site. And all the staff were very friendly too and with smiles and greeted guests. Last but not the least the restaurant is really nice too with yummy dishes and a well balanced/portioned menu. We certainly enjoyed the food and all the dishes we had were superb. Complements to the chef indeed. Brekkies were included and there are 6 sets yo choose from. Again, yummy and good portion. Fresh juice and the fruit salad was just wondering first thing in the morning. It was a relaxing weekend indeed and I will definitely come back for sure.

We could not have not asked a more friendly, accomodating and clean hotel for our first stop in Cambodia. This small boutique hotel nestled perfectly between the hustle and bustle of down-town and the serine national park. The owners went out of their way to help us find our way around, organised some tours for us and made us feel so welcome. They really set our family up for a relaxing first at few days in Cambodia. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend a few days lazing with the family around the pool at Atmaland, reading a good book, or gazing up into the jungle or down to the coastline for stunning sunsets.

These bungalows provide a wonderful experience overall. The grounds are very nice and it has a quiet jungle feel, with chickens walking around. Staff was helpful. The rooms are clean, but in our case, could use a little upkeep. Lots of mosquitoes in our room for some reason. The restaurant is mediocre. The pool is amazing and a blessing in the heat. There are really nice chairs around the pool. It is just down the hill from Kep National Park which has a nice track for hiking or running. You can also walk to the craft market – our favorite place is the Khymer Hands Cafe.

I stayed here for two nights and was very happy with the bungalow - good value for money. It was nice, clean, dry and pretty spacious. The wifi worked fine. Also, the host-couple was welcoming, friendly and very helpful (eg in booking transportation and informing about the area). What was pulling down a little for me was the breakfast (but you can always take that somewhere else) - and also, that we were a bit disappointed that they didn't have free bikes, as had been stated on hotels.com when we booked. But overall a very nice place that I can definitely recommend.

Manager is both very knowledgable pro and a very genial hostess interested in the person she is hosting. Learning we would depart earlier than her breakfast is served she made a point of buying bananas baguettes and croissants we could take in the van. Our bungalow was quiet and comfortable, the dark blue pool was pleasantly cool, and dinner upstairs in the open air under a thatched roof was delightful. In walking distance of the crowded market, multiple seafood restaurants and the beach, this place defies the noisy bustle to surround you with tranquility and peace. Relax and enjoy it. We certainly did.

Vanna Resort is located in a secluded place near a national park. It has spacious grounds, a large pool, an open air breakfast area, noisy roosters and slippery paths with irregular boulder pathways. Rooms are separate more like small cottages with a hammock on the balcony outside. Our room had 2 single beds which we pushed together to make a large double. There's a flatscreen television, bathroom and small refrigerator. Dogs roaming the breakfast area were rather offputting especially as the female was on heat right underneath our table. They need to be kept away from the food areas even though they are pets and in good health.

Cambodia + French-style hotel in the wind, the hotel is backed by the White Horse National Park. During the day, you can go directly to the White Horse National Park, with a wide view and beautiful scenery. It is also because of the White Horse National Park, so the hotel has a good ecological environment. There are many small animals. The gecko is very big. It may be the biggest one you have ever seen in your life. It will make a giggling sound. People, especially at night, will get used to it later. The hotel does not have a phone, no TV, no internet! Hahaha, it is suitable to bring a book here to stare at the sea. In addition, the restaurant's meal is not expensive, I came here from Siem Reap, compared to the price of this hotel is very high.

We were initially staying at the Veranda in a cliffside room for 3 nights. We enjoyed it so we decided to cancel our trip to Kampot and extend to 6 nights before our journey to Koh Rong Samloem. The rooms are very spacious with great bathrooms air conditioning and a TV (which we did not use) The hotel is at the top of a steep hill which is about a 10 minute walk to the Crab Market and around 15 to the beach. It is also based near the entrance to the National Park. The breakfast at the hotel was great, a buffet with both Asian and Western cuisine. The fried noodles and the noodle soup were my favourite. The hotel has 2 pools, a garden pool and an infinity pool. While we were there the pools did not get too busy and a nice comfortable lounger was always available. Food in the hotel was good and reasonably priced. A mention has to go to all the staff too. So polite and helpful it was a joy to stay here. When we visited Koh Rong Samloem we took a look around the new sister hotel 'Passion' on Saracen Bay which had just opened. This also looked like a very nice property. I would have no hesitation staying in this hotel again. Recommendations would be sunset cocktails at the Sailing Club, fresh seafood lunches at the Crab Market and a visit to the beach and National Park.
