We’ve booked two rooms for three nights in this hotel. The rooms were not ready when we arrived, which was totally fine. We asked the staff to add an extra bed given the hotel was fully booked that day (no extra room available). However, when we came back to the hotel in the evening, the extra bed was still not ready. We also found smoke smell in one of the rooms as well, but we couldn’t change the room for the first night given the hotel was fully booked... Breakfast was good with various of coffee and omelet available upon request. The staffs have prepared breakfast boxes for us as we have early flight to catch the day we checked out, which was nice. The facilities in the hotel are well maintained. Overall it is a good hotel to stay if you want to spend a few days to explore Florence.

We stayed here for 2 nights, was a great location, close to the tram stop to get into the centre of Florence, only took around 15 minutes. The host domineco was waiting on our arrival and gave us a few nice recommendations. Lovely coffee shops and cafes close by, a few restaurants. The room was very clean and the bed was comfortable, bathroom had all you needed, there is a shared kitchen which we didn’t use. The only thing I will say, is the noise from the traffic on the little road at night and early morning is loud. If you are wanting quiet early nights then I would recommend some ear plugs.

Small hotel in a quite quiet area . The rooms are small but clean. The bathroom is very small and we also had a problem with the flusher, but nothing a man cannot fix. It's ok for a city break if you are planning not to stay too much on the room. They also have some breakfast, don't expect much from it, but it's enough to start your day. Overall it's ok, but I wouldn't return necessarily here on my next trip to Florence.

I googled a place to stay in Florence and after reading many reviews I decided to book our stay with II Grillo di Florence based on the positive reviews and pictures. The pictures and reviews were accurate - Lara and her husband were the best hosts ever!!! Our stay started with the owner sitting with us and discussing the check-in process, keys, places to eat and visit. He showed us the map, that included places to see together with means of transportation, he even sold us transit tickets to make our journey stress free. The morning after check-in Lara had a entire spread out for breakfast which included bread, croissants, cold cuts, yogurts, fruit and cereal. We truly enjoyed breakfast but we enjoyed our conversation with Lara the most...she is amazing! Friendly and attentive to our needs..she took the time to know us and even provided us with recommendations on where to go and must see. I can go on and on - Lara and her husband are the BEST!!!! The place is spacious, clean and comfortable, the service excellent and the owners AMAZING!!!! I highly recommend II Grillo di Firenze.

The service is good, and the two front desk services encountered in two days are very professional and meticulous. The original order said that there was free parking but the parking space was tight. We stopped at the roadside. Fortunately, there was no charge on the weekend. Clean and comfortable, there is still a distance from the scenic area, breakfast is good! The Ctrip hotel order is for two adults plus one child. Ctrip only has the option to have a child and an adult free of charge. At the time of check-in, the front desk said why not tell them that there are three people, the children are free to stay, let us wait a half hour to prepare a room with a bed. I have to sneak in Ctrip. In other Italian hotels, I also choose two people and one child, so I need to fill in the names of three people (children need extra fees, which is very common in Europe). And this hotel has no option to fill in the names of three people because the children stay for free!

Beautifully decorated rooms, immaculate bathroom and all of the amenities to make it a very comfortable and enjoyable stay. Whilst it is not in the heart of the city it is very accessible via the tram which runs every 5 mins and it is only 10 mins away from the city centre. To be fair we welcomed this as it is in quiet location away from the very busy centre. We were given a bottle of wine on our checkout and all in all it was a perfect experience. Cannot recomend enough.

Despite some issues, we liked the stay. Hosts are doing a great job. · The host was very friendly and explained us how to get to the historical center by public transport. We had room for two people with a queen-size (not sure) bed. The room had an extremely high ceiling and a chandelier, but the floor was covered with tile which would fall off in some places. There is a wardrobe, a TV and 3 sockets in the room (which is not enough, in my humble opinion). We had a shared bathroom for two rooms (L'Aranceto doesn't have other rooms, as I understood). The stuff tried their best to keep the bathrooms clean and fresh and succeeded in that, I must admit. Towels and shower gel are included but there was no hairdryer, so be aware. (It turned out you could ask the hosts to get it.) There is also a kitchen and garden in the hotel, which look quite cozy. You can buy products in the supermarket not far from the hotel. Location is good: there is a bus station just around the corner. And at that station there is the best confectionary ever – try pistachio croissants and you will return here just for them.

it is my third or fourth stay in this little B&B, centrally located at walking distance from both the railway station and the exhibition center, Fortezza da Basso. it is locatd very close the old San Lorenzo market. Large rooms, all renovated, nice and modern design, very comfortable bed, perfect cleaning. Room are equipped with a small fridge, air conditionign TV and a working Wi-Fi. The shower (no bathtub) may be dark in some rooms, but it is not a big problem, at least for me. Normal amenities in the bathroom. A basic but suffcient breakfast. Nice and friendly staff that can also help you in going around and/or booking trips and museums. Indeed very good value for money

Let's start by the obvious plus for this hotel and to be honest takes any negative away - it's location , I have I attached the view of the Duomo from our room window . The room it self was very big and had lots of storage space , the lockable private bathroom was located outside the room across the hall it was basic but not as bad that has been posted ( I'm 5'11 and 16 stone and managed fine in the shower cubicle ) . You are situated in a very noisy area but there are double windows that lock out all noise and although there are curtains on the window alcove they are just for decoration , if you want to keep out the light the windows have wooden shutters which give blackout conditions . All in all this is a budget hotel in a top area , if you want luxury in this area I would look elsewhere and have a healthy bank balance but this hotel did give you that traditional feel of Italy

This place is more like an "appartment" than a B&B. We stayed in room #4 which has two twin beds and is quite spacious. Upon arrival no one answered the door but when we called their number, someone came to help us within 5 minutes. My advice would be: make sure you have the phone number with you. I guess waiting, even if only for a few minutes, might not be nice when it's raining. We loved the wooden floor, the beautiful ceiling and decoration in the room (simple but in style with the old building) especially our chandelier :-). The bathroom is very modern but consists only of a toilet and shower. The wash basin is actually in the room itself, around a corner, which didn't bother us. There is a water cooker in the room but only tea, no (instant) coffee. So if you like to drink coffee, you have to bring your own. There are lots of TV channels but not a single English or other language one. The room is up a short flight of stairs and then a small elevator takes you further up. The location is just UNBELIEVABLE!!! A 5 minutes" walk from Palazzo Vecchio and 15 min to Ponte Vecchio. There is a taxi stand around the corner at Piazza della Repubblica. There are several good options for breakfast nearby. Would certainly recommend. Hard to beat the price and location!

Nice small boutique B&B. Check in was easy with everything explained and being personally shown around the hotel and to the room. The Superior room is exactly like the pictures, with a bathtub inside the room. Lots of space, large TV, and a bathroom with lots of mirrors! Lots of hot water, and the bath was great to use. Didn’t use it as a shower so can’t comment on the water pressure. Simple breakfast with pastries, cereal, spreads, yoghurt, juices, coffee, cold cuts etc served in the dining room. No staff onsite after 7pm, but there’s still little touches like mood lighting and music playing through the common areas.

I mean during the check in the entire time, the staff ignored me the entire time, I understand he knows I was with my friends, but I have my reservation separately, he should handle it by the order, and not just assigned me the smallest room just because I was a single person.I booked the exactly same type of room just like my friends, and their room is twice bigger than mine. And I can only eat breakfast in bed because there was no room to put it. That’s hilarious actually.

Location is good especially for those who likes walking, it will take you 15-20 minutes to reach the Duomo. Staff is very welcoming and friendly: they gave us a map and gave some recommendations about main sights and places to eat. Our room was very cozy, beautiful and clean. Also, the building itself gives you very special atmosphere. There were two bottles of water and some cookies for free in the room while check-in. Breakfast was very good (served in the cafe 5 minutes walking from the hotel): juice, coffee and baked goods (2 pieces to choose). This hotel is a very good choice for its price!

We spent 4 nights at this hotel last week. I always use trip advisor for recommendations and it’s always been on point and very helpful. This is the first time that I just don’t understand all these 5 star reviews. The hotel is on the 2nd floor of a residential building. When you walk into the building, there are stairs to get to the first floor. On the first floor there is a small elevator you can take to the hotel floor. Be prepared to carry your luggage up to the elevator. The room was big with high ceilings. The bathroom was a decent size as well. It seemed clean. The WiFi was a big problem as we couldn’t connect any devices due to their router having a problem. Luckily they had another room available and we were moved because that room had a stronger signal and because I needed the internet for work, I had to agree to pack our things and move. The second room was nicer. The design was better and it even had flowers which was a nice touch. They have a buffet breakfast with few choices and after the first few days, it wasn’t enjoyable because it was the same thing day after day. Bread, cereal, croissants, cheese, ham, Nutella, jam, fruits, juice. The dining area is nice. The biggest problem we had with the hotel was the smell. There was a smell as soon as you enter the hotel and it was even worse in the room and especially bathroom. In the bathroom was such a strong sewer smell. I was so disappointed. I’m not sure if the sewer issue is just in this hotel or others as well. The location was decent. It’s just a few minutes walk from the Santa Croce church and shops and restaurants. It’s about a 13 minute walk from the center where the Duomo is located. With all this being said, the hotel staff was very nice and helpful. They were willing to help with what’s needed.

There are three people in our family, and one double bed can be added to the double room. Hygiene can be good, the bathroom has ultraviolet lights, can be disinfected, air conditioning and cooling is good, sound insulation can also be. However, the hotel is rebuilt in a building with a small environment. The room next to the breakfast hall will be affected by the voice of the diners early in the morning; if you wake up early, it will be less affected. Relative to the price is low!

No elevator, no elevator, no elevator! The important thing is said three times! If you want to climb a narrow staircase to the upstairs with a huge suitcase, you must choose this hotel! The shower room is terrible. The shower has a red, yellow and blue light, and the entire bathroom is colored. Service is general, active awareness is not strong! Capri Moon is about a 10-15 min walk from the train station. Just follow google maps to get you to the location. It will be hard to find but it is worth it when you find the place. When you get to the building 17 look at the panel for Capri Moon and press the button. Walk into the double doors and wait until they buzz you in the right gate. Walk upstairs all the way to the top and the guesthouse is to your right. Now for the room itself, the beds are comfortable along with the pillows. The restroom is great as well. The pricing isnt bad for the location and if you share with a friend or two, it wont break your bank account.

We, a family of 5, stayed here for 2 nights. PROS: great location. It is right on the edge of everything, so the streets are quiet but it is still close to the Duomo and Accademie. Clean. Everything was quite clean, the floors, bathrooms, beds. Super nice. The owner and his staff are all super I d and accommodating. Free breakfast. It is pretty “meh.” My picky American kids wouldn’t eat most of it. The fruit always seemed overripe and there was other weirdness about it. But they do try. Spacious. The rooms are large and the bathrooms not super tiny. My three gripes about it: It is very dated. The lobby area is probably clean but it looks like your great-aunt’s living room, cluttered with doilies, lace tablecloths and old appliances, so it looks a little grubby. Everything could use a fresh coat of paint. It looks like an older Airbnb vs a 3 star hotel. Our fridge didn’t work. We were there in the middle of a heat wave and would have liked for our water to be cold. The housekeeping turned off the air conditioning while we were gone. It wasn’t unbearably hot or anything but as I mentioned, we were in the middle of a heat wave and after walking all day in 102 degree weather (with a baby in a baby carrier!), it would have been nice to come back to a nice cold room. Overall, I’m not sure I’d stay here again. There are certainly a lot pro’s but the price for a more updated, nicer hotel isn’t that much more. If you’re trying to save a buck, it’s fine. If you’d like to feel happy about coming back to your hotel room after a hot walk about town, I’d probably choose elsewhere.

The hotel's location is in the heart of Florence, and is far from the main attractions of the core area, close to the Pitti Palace and the Old Bridge, is a region where the locals live more, compared to the main attractions area has a quiet alarm. There are a lot of art-run shops run by locals downstairs, which is worth a visit. There are plenty of local restaurants to try out downstairs. I will stay here next time.

We loved our stay here - the apartment was huge, bright, very clean and had everything we needed including a fully equipped kitchen and a very comfortable bed. The location was fantastic - 5 minutes walk from the Duomo and all the lovely restaurants. The price was great as well - especially after we had stayed in a pretty expensive shoebox the night before. The service was really exceptional! We had forgotten our jacket in a taxi on our way to the hotel and without us even asking, they called the taxi service and made sure our jacket was returned. The lady running the place was very friendly and extremely kind. The only issue we encountered was that the wrong address was provided in the TripAdvisor confirmation so we first went to an incorrect location, however when we called the property they directed us to the right place....so please make sure to check the address with the hotel. I chose this wonderfully special ‘home’ to stay in in the heart of Florence for my husband’s surprise 50 th & I couldn’t have chosen a more perfect place to stay for the occasion! The location for starters is spot on , close enough to walk to everywhere but slightly off the beaten track so it’s not too busy at night! Our hosts were absolutely amazing , nothing was too much trouble we were given recommendations for a restaurant for one night which was fantastic, help when we were planning our trip to Venice for the day & breakfast adjustments for me being a vegetarian ! The warmth extended to us whilst we were there was that of being with friends which most definitely added something to our stay, Alessio, Josie & the gorgeous Klajda went above & beyond anything I would’ve expected! The place itself Is like stepping back into 18 th century Florence but with a modern twist to make it truly comfortable & the attention to detail is phenomenal! One evening we came back to a bottle of fizz with two very generous slices of a delicious chocolate cake as a gesture for my husband’s special celebration- it’s the thoughtful touches that make all the difference & this place has those in abundance! Thankyou all for making out stay absolutely perfect! Emma & Bill

I didn't have the hotel's website (Ctrip didn't provide the website address or the hotel email address), and it took a long time to stop. The reception was quite smooth. The hotel is in the old town and it is more convenient to walk for ten minutes from the Church of Santa Maria del Fiore. The breakfast is also good, the variety is enough, the service staff is very warm, and his kitchen is always open, you need hot water to burn it yourself, there is juice in the refrigerator, you can use it yourself. The building is very old, the decoration is OK, old but not broken. The feeling of the old city.
