Let me just start with this... Old City Wall Inn is a tremendous value and I highly recommend you book a stay here if you are travelling to Chiang Mai. This review will currently only cover my very initial experience as I have just checked in. As always, I will provide updates based upon my continued experience. I just moved to Chiang Mai and my condo at the Astra will not be ready for approximately a month so my little sister who already lives in Chiang Mai was kind enough to find a couple one month stay options that are reasonably close to my future condo. Within those options, I chose Old City Wall Inn primarily for the following reasons in the order listed: 1) Bathtub - I have always opted to live in places that have bathtubs. It is an increasingly rare feature, but something I place a very high value on. 2) Location - Being close to walking street is great and there is no shortage of dining and entertainment options. It is also quite close to my future condo and my little sister already has a condo there so it is nice to be close to her. 3) A big white wall - perfect for watching movies from my portable projector and there is a couch ideally located to comfortably watch the movies. I chose the smaller and cheaper room without a kitchen because of the beautiful white wall. 4) Price - I was quite pleasantly surprised at what a great value it is. When my little sister told me the price, I was actually shocked at how good the price was. I was willing and expecting to spend double what I actually ended up paying. My little sister set up the reservation the same day that I checked in paying 1,000 baht to hold the room until I arrived and paid the remaining balance as well as an approximate 3000 baht deposit which is perfectly reasonable. My check in experience was very quick, pleasant and convenient. I was asked to provide a copy of my passport prior to arrival which surely helped to speed up the check in process. It was a pleasure meeting Golf, who I spoke with prior to arrival and the staff without exception seemed polite and competent. As I am staying for an entire month, there was a longer than normal amount of paperwork that had to be filled out, but as an attorney, I have a strange love of contracts and it did not bother me. This was also all ready for me when I arrived and so I had zero wait time for the preparation and execution of the documentation. The room is on the second floor and although I would have preferred a room with a street view, the rear facing room is probably a bit more quiet. There is a balcony that overlooks a garden and there is a sign posted forbidding smoking which is absolutely fine with me since the smell of cigarettes does have a tendency to permeate into the room even if smoked on a balcony. The only 3 things that I find so far to be somewhat lackingt: 1) The bathtub drain stopper does not hold water in the bathtub very long. The water leaks out rather quickly and as I previously stated how important an a

The traffic is very convenient next to my friend's house. There are hotel parking spaces. But it is recommended not to book the 1-200 rooms, which is not very good. The tall one is not bad. This house is free of deposit. Hotel rooms are non-smoking, you can smoke downstairs. Hope to help everyone.

Location is an easy 10 minute walk to moat and main gate of ‘old city’. However located in a quiet residential area, so away from traffic and night noise. Even a neighborly rooster to welcome the day! Each room is a corner room, with yes, a narrow terrace (good for cloths drying). Rooms are large, bright, clean, good a/c, mini fridge, soap and shampoo. No tea kettle, but there is hot water, coffee and tea in lobby area. Lobby/reception area is open and airy. Comfortable - great place to review day with a cold drink or plan day with a coffee. I loved the sounds of children singing and reciting their lessons from the nearby school I stayed 3 nights, went to pai and returned for another 2 nights. Staff is always available, helpful, spoke English, can arrange tours and such.

We stayed at the Winner Inn for 3 nights while part of a tour of 18 people. Check in went quickly and smooth. The front end staff was not overly friendly. There was an on site restaurant that was only ever open for breakfast. But there was always people in there. They did let us bring out own food to eat in there one night as long as we cleaned up out whole mess. Which was fine we would have never left a mess for someone else to clean up. The elevator was small but did fit about 4 guest and their suitcases. There was also a very tall, steep set of stairs. The floors all squeak very loudly. Didn't really bother us until late at night when the party crowds were coming back. The walls were also paper thin so you heard everything and I mean everything. We had a very large weird shape room. The fridge was not plugged in and had nothing in it. The tv was there not plugged in but did not work well. The bed was very soft (I prefer to firm over to plush) but still slept good. The what should have been a fitted sheet did not cover the bed (see pictures). We called the front desk they said we had to come get a new one or we had to switch hotels (really good service hey). We went and picked it up and it had a huge hole in it. Called again, did the same thing. This time it was another double sheet so we just put it on so it covered the end that was sticking out. The room was very basic and plain. It was actually very clean minus the one dead bug that was on the floor. The bathroom looked like it had seem better days. The shower was nothing special. The walls looked dirty but I think it is because they didn't use the proper grout for being in a wet space. Good luck getting warm water. It took me 15mins to get it warm. The toilet seat isn't the right style for the type of toilet it is (see pictures). No shampoo or conditioner. AC worked great. It is in an okay location. It is on a quiet back alley. If I were to come back to Chiang Mai I would look for something in an even better location. There was one restaurant on the street and the food was horrible. Even walking to the Main Street a few blocks away didn't really seem to have many restaurants. We started ordering from GrabFood (Transportation grab app) which got us some amazing food from all over the town. There was a 7-11 on the Main Street where we got snacks one night and shampoo & conditioner. Best of luck if you decide to stay here.

Room- we booked a deluxe room, it was extremely clean, the bed is one of the comfiest mattresses! The shower and bathroom has a fun design and was nice to use. Service- when we arrived we were told we booked a twin room despite my booking showing I selected a double bed. Staff were extremely helpful and swapped our mattress over to a double bed the following day Facilities- advertised as a pool and gym. The gym is extremely small and has basic equipment. The pool is nice but very small (photos definitely make it look bigger!) and cold. Due to the shady streets it’s often out of the sun (although this is common for most places in chiang mai). Location- Just off the main old town square was nice for us as it meant it was maybe a bit quieter. We didn’t mind the 10 minute walk to where we needed. Plus grab/tuk tuk in the area is easy to get

The room was absolutely a mini apartment!! would have been the house of my dreams. clean with a view through a wonderful glass. the hotel was fabulous and in a great location. Only breakfast was a little bit scarce. They may not be prepared at 7 a.m. but still missed a little bit of everything. If I return to Chiang, I would never choose this hotel a thousand times. I came here without much expectation because it was cheap, and it was a very satisfying stay experience. The staff is overwhelmingly kind. It was touching to see that the five-star hotel took care of us carefully but not too much, unlike the service kindness of the five-star hotel. The room condition was nice and I didn't have any complaints. Breakfast is not a buffet, but a style of choosing 2 dishes per person, but it came out neat and delicious, so it was better than a buffet. The breakfast and swimming pool were always spacious, perhaps because there were not many family guests. There are a lot of reviews on soundproofing, actually it's really not soundproof, so if you're sensitive, you should consider it. However, most of the rooms seem to use it only as accommodation rather than enjoying something, so there was no loud noise.

This place makes us very much satisfied. Since the service of the staff is very outstanding, the atmosphere of the hotel is very quiet. The location is also convenient when ordering food or walking to buy food outside. Cleanliness inside the accommodation is very clean. Our cat, if he smells another, he will be afraid. But here it is very clean. Our cat has no reaction at all. Plus, it's also dull. 1 Overall, I really like it. Going to Chiang Mai will stay here again.

I was always greeted by Jenny on reception with a warm smile. After enjoying Chiang Mai city for 2 weeks i extended my stay and paid a good price for 2 more weeks. The rooms available are fan only or fan and air conditioning. Although there is no fridge in the rooms there is a communal fridge in reception which is always stocked with ample water, soft drinks and beers all at very cheap prices. My large room had a fan, AC, TV, wardrobe, dresser, king size double bed with very clean bedding, which can be changed upon request. The shower area, although a bit outdated, is still quite adequate. Panda House is located on a no through road, there is hardly any traffic outside and it is exceptionally peaceful considering how close it is to the city. I could take a slow walk to Tha Phae Gate in less than 10 minutes. Nearby Tuk Tuks are easy to flag down; or reception will order a private taxi in a matter of minutes. Panda House does offer a food menu, however there are endless bars and restaurants all within walking distance. I stayed for one month and had a very comfortable stay. Thank you.

The location is near Ningman Road, the decoration is very stylish, the roof bar is also very good, but the whole design is too impractical, the small room is very small, the suitcase can't be opened, the first night stay was almost a nervous breakdown! I thought it was an airplane, so I tried to forbearance, but it kept going. After half an hour, I discovered that it was a refrigerator... Just after I lay down after unplugging the refrigerator socket, the whole room began to tremble, as if I was sitting on an airplane and about to take off. Same, I don’t know what's going on. After tossing for a long time, I found that our bedside is next to the four main units of the air conditioner on the floor? ! ! ! This kind of room needs to be sold! Speechless! The next day, I added more than two hundred yuan to exchange for a large room. I thought it would be good, but it seemed that there was a waiter downstairs or something laughing and chatting, until one point! Fortunately, I only booked two nights, and I really need to see a doctor one night! ! ! The service is very good, LP's facial cleanser forgot to remember it the next day in the room and called to help us find it. But this hotel is really not suitable for staying, it is recommended to take pictures, just sit in the rooftop bar! ! !

I fell in love with it right away. In the evening, I can always lie in bed and see the red sunset of Mount Suthep outside. The room is simple and clean. There is a temple at the door of the B&B in a quiet alley. The sound of wind chimes during the day is particularly healing. There are 711 on the left and right when you come out of the B&B, which is very convenient. There are so many delicious food at the door! The host, Yiyi, is Chinese and very nice. You can chat with us in the coffee room on the first floor. If you have anything you don’t understand during the trip, you can ask the people in the store. Le Ville Lanna Boutique Hotel in Chiang Mai truly exceeded all expectations, offering an exceptional experience that left us in awe. From the moment we stepped into the hotel, we were captivated by its stunning modern architecture and state-of-the-art appliances that perfectly blend luxury with comfort. David and his mother, the attentive hosts, went above and beyond to ensure our stay was nothing short of perfection. Their warm hospitality and wealth of knowledge about the local attractions made our trip truly unforgettable. They were always ready to advise us on the best places to visit, dine, and explore, enhancing our Chiang Mai adventure significantly. The hotel's location was a true gem, conveniently close to everything Chiang Mai has to offer. Just a quick 10-minute drive from the airport, we didn't waste any time getting to our luxurious haven. Moreover, we were delighted to find ourselves just 5 minutes away from the bustling walking markets, immersing ourselves in the vibrant local culture and flavors. As we took leisurely strolls around the area, we were delighted to find that the enchanting old town was merely a 10-minute walk from the hotel. Exploring the historical sites and charming streets became a daily ritual, and we cherished every moment of it. One aspect that stood out for us was the hotel's tranquil setting on a quiet road, surrounded by locals. The sense of safety and peace added to the overall serenity of the place, making it a perfect retreat after a day of exploration. Our stay at Le Ville Lanna Boutique Hotel has truly been one of the best experiences we've had in Chiang Mai. We are already eagerly planning our next visit, as we can't wait to relive the wonderful memories and create new ones in this extraordinary haven. There are disposable supplies and a refrigerator, which is cleaned every day and two new bottles of water are put in it. The location is excellent. The road in front of the hotel is quiet except during the rush hour. The must-visit temples are only a few hundred meters away, and some are diagonally opposite. Walk to the left at the intersection and you will find the night market, which also has a 711. There is another 711 100 meters to the right. We rented a motorcycle and parked it in the wrong place. I was scheduled to arrive at 10pm and although the late check in procedure was originally a personal email on unlocking various locks to get the room as the lobby that connects to the bar was closed, after I responded, they actually said they will have someone to wait for me at the reception to help me with my check in. Already a very positive note even before I arrive! Check in was swift and the room was exactly like shown. Its not a style for all, but I love it. Its simple, classically modern and functional. My only gripe is that there are not enough power points near the main bed (or you will Need a longer wire) so you really have to charge your phones at the TV Consol (with my short wire) which means that you don’t get to have your phone right besides your bed. The bed is Asian style firm so if you like it cushy, then its not for you. The pillows were also not that ok, even though with 4, its not the firm kind so i did have trouble sleeping. But if you like fluffy kind, these are your heaven. The bathroom had all the amenities needed - toothbrush, cotton, et al., but no mouthwash, so bring your own. There is also handwash next to sink and a good hair dryer provided. Shower pressure was surprisingly good and the wall mounted heater means u can tune the hot water manually to your liking. The location is superb as its near Thae Pae gate and You can really explore the old Town easily within walking distance from this location. The hotel also has a coffee bar with very cool drinks.

We were a group of 5 friends and we were super comfortable. Bed and sofa bed very comfortable. The pool is a lot. But cleaning is paid (500b). No reception. The girl who sells the excursions is the girl who gives you the key and don't give you any information. We were still super good. Very good location. Just on the street of Night Bazar.

This hotel is located by the river. When I first arrived, I saw the surrounding environment and felt a little cold. After check-in, the impression is completely changed. The staff at the hotel have a very good attitude, speaks and smiles decently. I asked them to help arrange the Hua Lanna massage and the taxi to the airport on the third morning. They all arranged it properly. Where can I go? , The waiter will take out the map, mark the route and provide it to me, and even check the location on the computer. After telling me the route, he will print the route to me. The work is very meticulous and thoughtful, especially praise! This time we stayed in a family room on the first floor, with floor-to-ceiling windows facing the swimming pool. Next to the swimming pool is a restaurant, which is very convenient for swimming and eating. The hotel’s restaurant provides 24-hour free mineral water, watermelon, pineapple, hot water, tea, coffee, egg rolls, rice crackers. You can make a cup of coffee at any time, sit under the tree, facing the river, and rest. In terms of location, there is a 7-11 on the diagonally opposite side of the hotel, and there is a supermarket a little past. Turn left and walk a short distance from the hotel to the iron bridge. After crossing the iron bridge, go straight for two intersections to the Changkang Road Night Market. I considered the resort before staying in this hotel, but it would be more troublesome to go out in the resort, and I finally chose this one, which proved to be correct. Of course, there are regrets about this stay: 1/The hotel just arranged for someone to trim the branches the next day, so that the tables and chairs at the door could not be seated, and the room would be noisy, and I could not enjoy the hotel environment well; 2/The bathroom drained slowly , There is water on the floor at the end of the bath; 3/The bathroom does not have a place to put towels and clothes, which is very inconvenient as a family room; 4/We stayed for two nights, and there was no cleaning staff in between to clean the room and collect garbage. Changing towels, putting paper towels, no cleaning work. Anyway, this is a highly comfortable hotel, a hotel that makes people want to stay all day without going out. Hope that next time you stay, there will be further improvement and experience. Answer a few questions from travelers: 1/Breakfast is good, I like purple mango sticky rice and chicken drumsticks; 2/Family room has a large bed and two single beds, suitable for a family of four; 3 The location of the hotel is not in the center, but it is far from Changkang The road night market is not very far, about a 15-minute walk; 4/ There is a little open space in front of the hotel, you can park about 6 cars.

I booked this place after checking out the review and was skeptical since it is cheap and near the bus station, but decided to try it anyway. Surprisingly the hotel looks modern, carpark space at the back is big, right across a temple which is not too noisy, yet by the road side near the bus station (50 meters away) So it will be great for people who come to Chiang Mai by long distance bus. Safe and secure, nice room with big LED TV, big room and comfy bed. Tips : Ask for a quiet room and you will get one facing the back, even more quiet than usual. They have buffet breakfast too.

Excellent two night stay in this adorable boutique hotel located inside the old city. Beds were very, very comfortable. We stayed in the heritage house jr suite and our teen daughters stayed in a deluxe king room. Both rooms were spacious and wonderful. The food (breakfast and dinner) was excellent!! The staff were incredibly helpful, friendly, and polite. I had an excellent foot massage at the spa. We also participated in two OUTSTANDING tours (Northern Highlights and Chiang Mai CityTemples). My only regret is we didn’t have time to enjoy the gorgeous pool. We would stay here again.
