I had one of the cheaper rooms and it was so small I could hardly open my small suitcase. Also had no balcony. But the bed was big, it was clean, had good free WIFI and good water pressure. The plumbing was not the best (like in many Sicilian hotels) but I had all I needed. Air con, TV, and a small fridge. The hotel is in a super quiet location just off the central harbor point. They don’t respond to emails if you are booking via a third party site but two days before your arrival you’ll get an email asking if you need an airport transfer and telling you where yo forward the email. It’s in Italian but you can respond using Google Translate. No one responded to my email and I also had an Italian speaker call to make sure. All went well and transfers are free. (Note: there is no formal taxi service on the island. The hotels all work with men with vans so you need to arrange a transfer before arriving at the airport). The Michelin Star restaurant in the hotel dining room is great. But breakfast is poor and the fellow who manages it is very unhelpful and surly. The hotel has a nice Arabic architecture courtyard feel. I really appreciated the beach towel in the room and the clothes dryers outside for hanging up bathing suits. Maria Christina, one of the receptionists, speaks great English and is super positive and helpful. I enjoyed my stay here.

We stayed for two nights and we enjoyed it a lot. The room was very clean, even though the decoration is a bit outdated. Staff is really kind and friendly, they helped us a lot. Federica even put some brazilian music at breakfast as she knew we were Portuguese, she was very nice. They arranged us free transfer from and to the airport. Location is quite good, we could reach Via Roma (city center) by walk and there is a bus stop really close. Our room had air conditioning, which is a big advantage because Lampedusa is really hot! Breakfast is good.

two fabulous days in a cozy „dammuso“ end of July. As a hotelier I can only congratulate Toa and Ezio for their little village of authentic „dammusi“, the traditional small and simple buildings of the Pelagian Islands in local stone, immersed in the Mediterranean scrub, each one with so much privacy and with a beautiful view of the famous Cala Creta Bay. A warm thanks also to their staff for a service suitable for a stay in Lampedusa: efficient and competent but at the same time gentle, relaxed and discreet. Lampedusa in the last few years, has been overused much too much. An island that, with the closure of the reception center for illegal immigrants beginning of 2018, has returned to its original vocation: tourism. Beutiful beaches and small bays called „calette“ with cristal clear waters. I speak both Italian and Sicilian and talking to local people I found a lot of renewed energy and optimism. At the moment 99% of tourists come from Italy but I am sure that the rest of the world will discover and will learn to love Lampedusa very soon. I guess it's just a matter of flight connections with only some expensive domestic flights from Rome and Bergamo, but with cheaper flights from Catania/Sicily operated by the danish DAT. Ezio gave us many useful tips and we toured the island on eBikes, a real alternative to renting a car or a scooter. Congratulations also to the unforgettable Grand Tour of the island that they organized for us on the super gulet “Turkuaz”, a wooden two musted sailship in beautiful mahogany. We'll be back soon. Renato and all of the team have a sense of pride in everything that they do. We felt so welcomed by everyone from the moment we arrived & were always greeted with big smiles. The hotel is spotless adhering to all Covid-19 guidelines and has a beautiful quirky interior. Breakfast was delicious with the best freshly baked croissants & coffee ever tasted. From the moment we landed we were taken care of with a pick up from the airport. directions on how to get about the island with the loan of a free scooter. Renato also sorted our boat trip around the island and a boat trip to Linosa which was superbly organised. We feel lucky to have found this little gem on the island and would definitely recommend.
