I write this reviews just an experience stayed a day actually my plan was 3 days in same hotel but it’s make me really disappointed from the arrival no one escorts to take my luggage and there a two boys in the reception when I arrive both are stayed in the room inside and watching there phone simply, after I arrived I just ask a help to carry my baggage just simply ignore (note I just ask for a help) After I came to room AC Is doesn’t work at all even I keep on for 3 hours, when I ask yo reception he mentioned to me it’s Hot weather sir will be work soon (after 3 hours come on ) Then in the night I ask for TV is there is any channel is working, he just laugh and reply to me if you want to see the TV just open android smart phone connect to TV Seriously it’s make me really disappointed and I don’t recommend for any new comer in this hotel

|27.04km from city centerThis was my second visit to Thayamkery's and the stay was as good as the first time. First of all, the hospitality from the reception and staff makes you feel welcome. The room was excellent for a solo stay, with a work table, chair and toiletries which were infact good (Used it both times). Wifi Speed was sufficient for multiple devices and the greenery gives a homely feel. Didn’t try the food but the coffee on de***d was delicious. The bathroom could use some renovation but was still fine for me. An important factor is the perfect location which although at the heart of Edapally is still calm and quiet with a Hypermart nearby. Edapally Church, Metro Station, Lulu Shopping Mall and the main roads are all just a walk away!

Clean, big rooms AC or Non AC for comfortable stay for two people. The highlight is the nice garden they have with some exotic birds, rabbits and it's sure be a stress buster for some. Children and ladies will love the ambience. Ample car parking available. The owner Francis is a nice *** and so is his staff. There are eateries around but not inside the property. Highly recommended for short or long stay.

|1.36km from city centerLocation. Situated on the Muvattutpuza - kolenchery road this resort, you are sure to miss unless somebody tells you orl you actually know of it before hand. The non discript signages do not help either. The signage in to the lane leading to the resort will not catch your eye unless you are looking for it. If you are not very good at driving or maneuvering your vehicle to find space to let the on coming vehicle pass then you are in for an experience. It is almost an one way Street. So hope that no other vehicles comes in the opposite direction. Call it luck, we did not encounter such a situation either while going to the resort or when coming out of it. I happened to be taken their by somebody or lunch and then realise that it was something that I should have visited before. Once you reach the resort it is a world all together different. What would strike the guest at the first instant are the fully laden nutmeg trees. Those who have not seen a nutmeg tree must make it now because it is in full Glory filled with fruits. The enormous space as one enters is much different from many other resort. There is something grand about it. Another interesting thing that one can get to see is the buildings made of laterite stones finished and left as it used to be in the yore. The restaurant is huge and well laid out. I did not visit any rooms or the toilets so cannot comment on the cleanliness and how well appointed the rooms are. But I must say that the table was well laid out, the cutlery was good and so was the crockery. The steward was courteous and did make sure that we were served well. The question that would immediately come to your mind is that having said so good about the restaurant; why have I given only three stars! That is because we were left to look for our table . We had to change because we first sat at the table nearest to the entrance and found it too hot and realised that the air conditioner had remained switched off. Apparently they had switched on the air conditioner only then. So even changing seats could not help much. Secondly the steward while taking order did not explain the quantities in the menu so three people ended up having to share two pieces a fish. But if one is looking for some fine dining, maybe this place could provide the answer

|30.13km from city centerThe check in time is 2 PM. We confirmed our checkin over a call at 11:15 AM that we will be checking in late. After reaching at 6 PM, we were alloted a regular room instead of the suite room and upon asking they realised that it was not the room we had booked. We were asked to wait for 10 minutes and after 10 minutes, the staff was busy chit chatting while ignoring us completely. When confronted, they put us into another room and then said it will just take 5 more minutes to get the room ready. After 20 minutes and no updates, we asked to see.the general manager who was suspiciously not at the property and somehow did not want to meet us that day. After 1 full hour, and 5 hours post stipulated checkin time we were alloted the room we had booked for. The rooftop bar DJ liked bass more than the baby in Salman Khan song so our room felt the vibrations disturbing us for 5 more hours.

My room was medium sized and I was supplied with a kettle on request. There was a small outside balcony with no view to speak of. There was no fridge. The A/C was very efficient, as was the WiFi. Water was supplied daily. This place is very clean- well done to the hard-working staff who were all delightful: consistently very pleasant and helpful. Highly recommended!

It is rare to find a great hotel but funnily enough it is rare to find a very bad hotel or a bad hotel experience. Neemrana Tower House in Cochin, was a bad experience for my family. I booked a family room (1 king bed+1 queen bed) with an extra bed for 2 days and nights, for 4 persons from May 13th to 15th, 3+weeks in advance after clarifying details on their websites, other platforms and by calling the Manager operations, Ms. Vinita Vijayan herself. I was told that yes it was available and that booking any later would not guarantee the same facility. The booking was done online in full payment for 3 persons with extra bed charges to be paid at the hotel on arrival. I reconfirmed our booking a few days before our travel as well. At no point were we aware or told that the premises were being renovated. Come 13th of May, when we reached the hotel just before 4pm after traveling from Pollachi, we noticed that the hotel was under repair with no staff in sight to immediately receive or guide us. I walked into what seemed like the reception, saw no one and then looked further in, to see a lady who was the manager working on her system in her office. I introduced myself and had to ask her for guidance and help for parking and baggage. After 15 minutes of that, we checked in. I even paid up the additional extra bed charges for 2 days. As we were moving to our room, we saw that all the rooms were being renovated. Our's seemed to be the only one ready. On asking about the pool the manager said that it was being renovated too. Basically apart from meals in our room or the dining area, the rest of the hotel was unusable. On confronting the manager, she said she had informed us and it was updated on the website. Both NOT TRUE, which I double checked. She offered no compensation or even explanation. That's when we got upset and I asked for some reparation of what was an obvious con. She was unapologetic and almost indifferent! Long story short, we took care of our own comfort. I insisted on a refund, which was promised with no timeline. Refund of the extra bed was offered too of the day we were staying and the next, but the manager refused to commit in a mail. The next morning despite assurance of a formal mail about the refund as payment was not immediately possible, there was nothing. After insisting, a short mail was sent promising 1 day's refund. We checked out at 10.30am. After about 2 days, 1 day's refund was done without the additional bed charges including the day we did not stay( we were charged for a bed we did not use) Throughout the stay there were no efforts to make us comfortable. The breakfast was lack lustre and just average with runny scrambled eggs. Definitely not going to trust the Neemrana brand again. Beautiful property, horrible management.

Clean and soothing you wouldn't want to be anywhere else. Again the staff at reception and housekeeping are thoroughly helpful and always with a smile. Now Nihara stands apart from other places just for the food. The lunch spread with authentic local cuisine is everything you want and more. Again the place is very near Cochin city and conveyance is in abundance.

From the hotel you can reach to the Cochin International Airport by a minimum 15 dollar in Uber in 35 to 40 minutes. The breakfast is excellent with lot of Indian and western selections - all are very tasty home made food. Lunch and dinner selections also are very excellent just for 10 dollar you can have a buffet that has more than 25 selections. Rooms are very spacious with all kind of modern / daily basic required amenities. Now coming to the staff - all staff are very polite, kind and very helpful. They allowed us for a free early check in at 10AM.

Mattress was ok. Almost no space available for parking the car. Swimming pool is small compared to same priced hotels. Breakfast was good but nothing exceptional. Bathroom also was spacious but can be more clean. There was no view from the room, windows to be closed.

Sanitha and her team were always happy to answer questions and help out where they could, and in doing so made me feel at home. Sanitha also emailed me a day before I arrived checking I was all set and if I needed any help getting to the hotel. It was a really nice touch, so thank you Sanitha if you read this! :) The hotel has a lovely pool on the roof, and an area where they serve dinner outside in the evenings. The food and breakfast was very delicious. Next door to the hotel are a few handy shops, and it is a short 5 min walk into the heart of the historic Fort Kochi area with it's lovely shops and restaurants. I also walked from the Ernakulam ferry most days, which was also a short walk (or an evening shorter tuktuk ride!). Would definitely recommend to others and stay again if I ever am in this part of the world again.

Location is right opposite carnival Info-park. They have a full-fledged market right across the road with McDonald's and other similar food joints. The Hotel itself has decent ambience, compact rooms, a functional gym, good restro-bar with live music on some evenings. If you're looking for something flashy, you may be disappointed but for a functional hotel for under Rs 2500 this is a cool place.

The architecture, the rooms, the gardens and pool are really beautiful, sensitive to local styles as well as super comfortable. The pool was very refreshing after a day out in the hot weather and very clean. I had an extremely relaxing Ayurvedic massage in the treatment room with a very experienced practitioner. The breakfast was lovely and the dining room is fresh and charming. But most of all, the staff were incredible! They were there for my every need and provided advice and even booked my train onward train ticket and arranged for me to be taken to the station early in the morning. Its in an interesting location with a theatre right next door. I cannot recommend the wonderful hotel highly enough.

The staff was especially helpful and kindly allowed us to check-in early and get refreshed in the morning. The resort is an amazing mixture of Kerala's feudal heritage blended well with modern amenities. Check their website for more details on the architectural and historical details. The rooms were well furnished with both AC and fan. The bathroom was spacious and well equipped with all the necessities. The mattress proved very comfortable and I had a great night's rest. The resort overlooks the Periyar river(also known as the Aluva river) and is a couple of steps from a bridge that takes you over to the other bank. I took the opportunity to do a few quick runs across and back over the bridge in the early morning hour and it was quite a visual treat. Views are breathtakingly beautiful from the bridge as well as from within the resort. During my stay, I also happened to watch an engagement ceremony being performed at the resort. That also provided a good deal of entertainment. Watching the ceremony from the terrace, it looked like the staff and folks in the engagement party worked hard to put together a beautiful setting. Although, I didn't get to enjoy the food at this place, I happened to have tea twice during my stay in the courtyard and that was quite good too. Overall, I would highly recommend this location for travelers looking for an authentic taste of life in Kerala.
