From telling it, approaching Halifax, it takes about half an hour to get to the hotel, and you have to pay 4+1 yuan for the entrance and exit! The hotel environment is very good, the beautiful chocolate lake outside the window! Breakfast for children is free, the variety is quite rich, and dogs can also stay! Free parking! Stayed for two days and the cleaning was very clean! Recommended!

We tried to get a hotel room along the waterfront but there was a convention in town and nothing was available. We booked two nights at the Seasons and if I’m being honest I was scared after reading the reviews. We were pleasantly surprised when we checked in. The lobby has been renovated and is clean and modern. Our room was ground level and had also been renovated and modern and amazingly clean. The beds were comfy and even though the motel is very close to the overpass we didn’t find it noisy and we do sleep with the window open. The only feedback I would suggest is serving breakfast a little earlier than 8 as we had to leave earlier than 8 am and it would have been great to have access to coffee at the motel rather than having to drive to get one. Other than that nothing bad to say. We stayed two nights and really enjoyed this little gem. Unfortunately I didn’t take photos

Not a bad priced motel. The front desk staff were extremely professional and kind. They offer wifi and had a discount on the supper special for guests if you visited their grill. (We did not have time to check out their grill/restaurant) Room was nicely cleaned, and everything looked fully newly renovated. Beds were a bit hard to sleep on. Rooms had TV and a mini fridge. There was a menu in the room and it offered Gluten-Free pancakes for breakfast, which was a bonus. Again, only stayed one night but the staff was super friendly, professional and kind.

It is a real shame that this hotel is let down by what seem like poor standards. As someone who travels to Halifax regularly, this has been my first choice over the years. As great as Halifax is, it is a town that has sold its soul to the bar industry (Bare Naked Ladies wrote Hello City decades ago as an homage to this fact...); it can get pretty seedy late at night and downtown hotels come with regular street noise and a low chance of sleeping through the night. The HS has the advantage of being central, yet tucked away on a quiet side street. The rooms are also large and well appointed- really it should be the premier hotel in town. But every visit it becomes more apparent that the hotel is getting more and more run down. Cleaning and maintenance are an issue, from garbage and cigarette butts outside, to dirty hallways, and stained, worn carpet and furnishings in the rooms. Our last visit was the final straw; post covid cleaning? Well you judge - pics attached. The hallway was not cleaned in the 2 days we were there, the carpet in our room was filthy (and had what looked like cigarette burns); the bedding dingy, the rooms and entire hotel need some TLC. Staff also seem unhappy. I believe this is the same owner as the other Hilton hotels in town which are also poorly maintained and declining. Unfortunate really. But time to find a new hotel...

I stayed at this lovely boutique hotel for 10 nights while I was attending to Conducting Symposiums in Halifax. Everything was wonderful. My first encounter was with Kyle at the desk. He helped me with my bags; discussed where things were around town; and later even got me aquainted with the bus system which I used every day of my stay. The Hotel is perfectly situated near three universities and is in easy walking distances to fine dining as well as casual restaurants and even fast food places. There is are two supermarkets as well as several convenience stores nearby as well. The room was comfortable, adequately furnished, very clean and quiet. The bathroom was equipped with the typical toiletries that you find in other larger hotels and there was also a hairdryer, an iron and an ironing board. There are clean laundry facilities on the lower level, although I did not make use of them. There were two computers available in the lounge on the second floor. Breakfast was continental style with different choices almost daily. Coffee was great and there was an assortment of fruit juices, yogurt, cereals pastries, muffins, etc. This hotel was a bargain compared to others around Halifax. I highly recommend it and would stay there again if I return.

This hotel is in a great location but we didn’t really explore due to the recent Covid outbreak in the downtown core with restaurants/bars. We chose to relax in the pool a couple of times and had it all to ourselves- thanks to Covid protocol. Our room was small but very clean and the beds were very comfortable... only complaint was that they put us in a room right by a very loud ice machine and right beside the elevators so we could hear everything happening in the hallway at all hours and that made for a night of interrupted sleep, especially with a child. The hotel was not full so I’m confused as to why they would put anyone in those rooms! These rooms should be a last resort and only used if the hotel is fully booked.

The room facilities are a bit old-fashioned, and the interior design is relatively classic. I'm still more modern like Hilton. There is indeed a service attitude of the front desk, but the other service staff encountered are particularly good. The parking fee of 29 Canadian dollars a day includes tax, unlimited access, after all, belongs to the city center, the parking fee must be dropped. I found that none of the hotel's windows could be opened, and I could only rely on air conditioning for ventilation. I didn't know why.

First off, the staff are top notch for a property with 60 units. Guests are still made to feel like they are staying in a cozy, family run business, despite having to adapt to a post_Covid reality (the breakfast is more than adequate considering the restrictions placed on them). The rooms are above par if you factor the nightly rates charged for a similar quality room in the downtown. I guarantee you, this will be my new go to place when I travel to Halifax from now on. I’m so glad I decided to book with them (a king suite for less than a double queen at my old spot). Totally worth the chance/change. Kudos to the housekeeping and front desk staff; a wonderful combination that equaled a great stay!

The most satisfying thing is breakfast, and finally there are scrambled eggs instead of just boiled eggs. The front desk is very good, the front of the door is the lake, it is a great pleasure to have time to sit and enjoy the scenery. Moreover, this is the only hotel in our entire Canadian itinerary that does not require a deposit, and it feels good to be trusted. recommend!

The hotel room is not photographed, small but tidy. I stopped cleaning the room during the epidemic. I stayed for four nights and bought a large garbage bag to fill up the garbage, otherwise there would be a peculiar smell. The location is very good, you can walk to the beach, there is no epidemic in Hafa, and you can spend a holiday with peace of mind. One advantage of this hotel is that it has a long shower nozzle that can be taken off. I don’t understand that Canadian hotels rarely have this. They are fixed. It is inconvenient for the elderly and children to wash. Kind.

We enjoyed our stay here very much. We came all the way from Ohio to Halifax for our honeymoon. For the most part, we enjoyed the hotel. It was in a good location, so we were able to walk to a lot of places. It’s right down the street from the waterfront, which is awesome. The staff was also very accommodating. There are a few things to consider, however. The first being that there are no elevators and lots of stairs. It was fine for us, but just keep that in mind if you can’t do stairs. There was also no way to control temperature from your room besides a fan or space heater. I noticed that my nose bled a little bit over the course of our stay from the dry heat. So that’s something to keep in mind. Free parking is also limited. We were there in November so we were never unable to get a parking spot outback, but the spots were really tight because other buildings are so close. Despite those little complaints, we really enjoyed our stay. Like I said, it’s just something to keep in mind. The hotel was very cute. The rooms and bathrooms were a little small, but we were on our honeymoon and 24 hours away from home, so we didn’t mind. We spent more time outdoors exploring. Would definitely recommend The Halliburton if you’re like us and not fussy travelers. But if you’re looking for something more roomy or no stairs, I’d look elsewhere. Our room was always clean and the bed made after we came back everyday. I also like the security at the hotel. You receive two keys when you check in. One is for your room and the other is for all the outside doors because they stay locked most of the time. I really like that considering all the foot traffic in Halifax.

We stayed 5 nights in mid-January when visiting relatives in the area. We were thrilled with the rate we got ($104/night). We are assuming this was an off-season rate & expect it would be more expensive in summer. Because it snowed a lot while we were there, our family ended up coming to us and we spent a lot of time at the hotel. The extra breakfast room was a great place to play games, eat take-out meals, and "hang out" while visiting. There is also a small "guest kitchen" just past the breakfast room that has a full sized stove, fridge, preparation counter, & pots. We were able to cook a couple of meals there. Disposable plates, bowls, & cutlery were available from the front desk. There is also a "pantry" with a limited selection of snacks & meal items to purchase. The hotel feels new. It was clean & bright. Our room was very spacious with a king-sized bed, 2 TV's, couch, 2 chairs, and a large desk. In the closet there was even a wooden 2-drawer filing cabinet! It would be comfortable for a business person to set up for a long-term stay. A free breakfast was included with the room price. The breakfast choices changed slightly from day to day, but they included eggs, sausages, bacon, bagels, English muffins, cereal, yogurt, & make-your-own pancakes. On the surface, this hotel seems like a 5, but the reason I gave it a 4 was that the longer we stayed, the more glitches we noticed. There was noise transfer between rooms and especially from the hallway. Since we were there at a quiet time of year, it was only an issue one night when we were woken by people talking quite loudly outside our room about the pizza they were going to order. There was a humming noise which we heard quite often & assume was the elevator. There were some minor problems in the bathroom that would be fairly easy to fix. Although the sink plug looked like it should work, I couldn't get the water to stay in the sink. The toilet wiggled when I sat down on it. The hot water was VERY hot (be warned!) and the shower door wouldn't stay closed. It was on a rolling track & kept rolling open during our showers, which created a cold draft while trying to have a warm shower. The pool area was under construction or being repaired while we were there so the hot tub was closed, although the pool was open. There was an overpowering chlorine smell when I opened the door to the pool area. Although it was a lot less, you could also smell the chlorine in the lobby, but not in the rooms above the 1st floor. All in all, we are really glad we chose this hotel for our stay. The good points far outweighed the bad and we had a comfortable stay. We will be back!

We picked this hotel because it offered breakfast. On our last day, we would be flying 13 hrs with tight connections, and didn't think we would get another chance to eat. This breakfast was not anything like we were expecting. The "entrees" looked like a half a piece of toast with Gouda and half a slice of tomato. The other option appeared to be a half slice of toast with jam. Other treats included quiche cup, about the size of a sliver dollar, a mini muffin, and what appeared to be a small egg dish. I normally stay at the Crown Plaza, with a full breakfast buffet, and will return there next time. We didn't eat here, and instead we took our chance at what we could get at the airport. I had a reservation for Wednesday night, and we were going to able to get in a day early. While waiting to board at the Toronto airport, I called the front desk to add a day to my reservation. The attendant told me he couldn't find my reservation, and to go online and book it. I told him I had no internet connection, couldn't he use my Hilton Honors number and book the room. He said let him call me back in 5 minutes, and as I expected, no such call happened. I was able to make a quick call to Hilton 800 as I boarded and got the room booked. We showed up as scheduled at 1:40 am, and my traveling companion's room had been given out to someone else (we were booked for late arrival). NO big deal we thought, but they were unable to book another room for the same price. They asked him to sit down "for about 20 mins" while they figured out how to do this. I insisted that they give him a room. They agree, went up, let him in a room, and told him they would put his key under the door. The next morning, no key. We did encounter Grace at the front desk the next morning that got all this figured out. Thanks Grace! The room was nice, bed and pillows were comfortable. Except for the desk attendant I encountered on the phone, the staff was nice, if not well trained. The building was convenient to downtown restaurants. Primarily due to the lack of a morning breakfast, I'll be staying elsewhere on my next visit to Moncton.
