Very Good1 Reviews
1.74km from Paradise Island CafeAfter seeing the reviews for this hotel, I thought we would give it a shot for one night on our stay in Orlando. Let me first tell you that parking and getting rides is not the easiest. It's right on Orange Ave and you see the sign you think you need to pull up right on the street. Actually, with no real signs to direct you, you need to pull in on the side street and pull into the parking garage area behind the hotel. We found it by accident. Then you see a sign that says "valet" with an arrow. After that, you pull up to a sign that says vale closed. Not knowing what to do, we just parked our car there on the service road by the parking garage and walked into the hotel. We were told that our room key would be our way into the parking garage. The check in was easy enough and the lady at the counter was friendly. Once we got into the room, unpacked our stuff and sat down on the the bed we immediately noticed that there were ear plugs on the night stands. That is never a good sign at a hotel. We opened the blinds and immediately knew why. You are right on Orange Ave and traffic is buzzing all hours of the day and night. You also get to enjoy the life flight helicopters landing at the hospital all afternoon and evening too. The rooms are very basic as well as the bathrooms. The bathrooms have very little light in them and if you are a lady and need to do your makeup...........good luck. My wife was very unhappy about that. Beds were comfy enough. We made our way down to the bar to meet some people after dinner off site. There were six of us and we had two or three shots each and a couple of drinks each. The bill was FOUR HUNDRED DOLLARS. We were all shocked at the total. Don't let the pictures and reviews fool you. You are staying at a very basic hotel with a shiny wrapper that makes you think (by the pics) that it's something more than it is. The staff was very friendly but that is about all I can say in the positive department. We will not be coming back.
