On our first visit to Russia, we could not believe we found a boutique hotel with only five rooms, all of them individually designed, and on an international scale, very affordable. This hotel is unlike anything we have ever stayed in, anywhere in the world. You would easily miss it if you walked down the street. Just an elegant sign above a plain single doorway in a tree-lined boulevard in the centre of St Petersburg's main shopping and historic district. No gaudy foyer or obsequious porters or receptionists, just a genuine and sincere welcome from Lena and Anastasia who act as receptionists, concierge, tour guide, booking agent and breakfast wait staff. And a special mention of Max, the amiable and beautifully attired breakfast chef and his magnificent AGA stove. Best breakfasts anywhere – and I mean it. Max makes five-star hotel buffets look like third-rate cafeterias. This privately owned building is four floors of fascinating European design. It is a destination in its own right. The entrance to the building is a bookstore like no other, adjoining a shop packed with the most elegant and interesting design objects. There's a deign gallery and even a fully outfitted apartment on the top floor, architecturally designed to showcase the most interesting collection of furniture, appliances and art. Hotel guests are welcome to explore the whole building. The hotel is on the third floor and comprises five elegant rooms, each totally different and fitted out with unique furniture and art pieces. We stayed five days and loved every minute of it. Lena and Anastasia were so caring and helpful. They booked the attractions we wanted to see and gave us all the advice we needed to enjoy the best of St Petersburg. And while lugging suitcases over a few steps and to the lift might otherwise be off-putting, the private cars that the hotel uses for its guests are driven by people who help carry your luggage right to your room if you let them. Where else in the world would you find a pre-ordered taxi driver waiting patiently in the hotel office - on the 3rd floor - to take you and your bags to the waiting car. Oh..I almost forgot – for those of us who dislike sleeping with air conditioners, we were able to open the window to our room. It's difficult to fault Villa Perlov.

The hotel lies in a quiet neighborhood. The Hermitage and the Church of the Savior on the spilled blood are around the corner. You walk to Nevskiy Prospekt in 10 minutes. You can even walk to Peter and Paul fortress by crossing Troitsky Most. We (my sister and I had both our own room) had a room with a split level and a superior room which I do recommend. They are large and have a jacuzzi and a sauna. Rooms are clean and we had a fridge. Mineral water is provided daily (it is not recommended to drink water from the tap) and there is water available at the reception. You can make coffee and tea in your room. The shower gave sometimes very hot and than cold water, that was a little bit tricky. Breakfast is very good with good variety and warm and cold dishes. The room in which breakfast is served is small though. It is sometimes difficult to find a table that is unoccupied. The staff is very helpful and friendly. They helped us find our way in the city and you can even book tours with them. The hotel has no lobby where you can hang out. Therefor I recommend a larger room where you can chill out after a great day in the city.

Me and my two friends stayed here over the weekend, and we could not have been happier with the hotel. It's in a quiet, safe area with many good restaurants and tourist attractions just around the corner, the room was nice and clean and the service was just excellent. Especially one girl in the reception, named Daniela, was happy to help us with everything from ordering taxis to helping us find a post office. We were all really pleased with our stay.

Hotel location is good, you can walk to the Winter Palace, Nevsky Avenue, the Cathedral of the Savior on Spilled Blood, quiet environment, adjacent to a large garden, near the EU and Japan institutions, there are always police cars parked near the hotel, seemingly safe. The front desk of the hotel is very good in English and the service attitude is more professional. There is a small elevator that is full by 4 people. The room was small, only a bottle of mineral water was given on the first day of stay, and it was gone in a few days. The room has cold air conditioning and is noisy. In June, the outdoor temperature was about 30 degrees, and the bathroom was still heated, and it could not be turned off. It would be hot to sweat in the bathroom for a while. The toiletries are disposable and the slippers provided are very bad, similar to paper paste. Overall, location is the biggest advantage, the rest is normal.

A Big Thank to all the staff.

PROs: 1. PROXIMITY. - Interesting architectural sites are walking distance from this hotel. The Hermitage is about two blocks from here. There are also many restaurants nearby. 2. LOCATION is AWAY from the MAIN STREET - so no noise pollution from cars. 3. BLACK OUT CURTAINS - room can be totally dark even when sun is up so we had longer time to snooze. 4. HOT SHOWER works fast and its temperature doesn't fluctuate compared to other hotels. 5. HOT WATER DISPENSER and IRON + BOARD is available in the main hallway. 6. HELPFUL STAFF - Artym and Ainur were helpful in assisting us with directions and taxi requests. 7. WIFI works okay. CONs: 1. NO LIFT. When we checked in, we were assigned on the 4/Floor, we carried and bulky suitcases up. The receptionist offered to help though by offering a twin room on the second floor, but we declined due to limited space for our suitcases. Imagine the inconvenience of coming back from a long day of exploring the city and then climbing up four flights of stairs to rest. 2. WALLS SEEM PAPER THIN! We can clearly hear other people talking in the other room. If we can understand what they are talking, it can be bothersome. 3. BASIC AMENITY in the toilet. 4. NO BIDET. 5. Narrow common/waiting area. 6. Signage to the hotel when looking for it can be made bigger.

Less than 5 minute walk to the Hermitage and all that is near it. Excellent walking distance to Peter and Paul Fortress, St. Isaac's Cathedral, Summer Garden and maybe most importantly - pyshkis! Great pyshki place is 1 minute away. A very friendly store is also right across the street. Nice neighborhood with high end shopping and good restaurants moments away. It is on the 5th floor with no lift, so it is a little drawback for some and something one MUST consider before booking.

The hotel's location is best for explorer-tourists who want to visit all important places on foot. There are 100s of eateries nearby and its located on a happening place. The price was great for people who are not looking for luxury but rather good sleep at perfect location. The only drawback is the entrance. The hotel is located on 6th & 7th floor of a building which has access through courtyard of another building. The main gate is (as usual) always closed and our 10s of attempts to ring the bell (to be heard by the reception on 6ht floor of a building far inside) failed. Somehow one person was entering ans we got in. Then 2nd hurdle - there was door lock at the building entrance - this too we made 10 attempts but no answer. Again an old lady from nearby building came to our rescue. She opened the door for us. Then inside it was 10-12 steps to climb before you can find lift. We had not anticipated this. Please be aware of this problem to begin with - then stay wise it was clean & comfortable. The breakfast is included in price but you need to pre-select from 6 options and we (being not meat eaters) found all options virtually hopeless.

We stayed here as part of a group and were told we would have a river view. We did and wow, what a view. This is a very large hotel that caters for many groups visiting St Petersburg. Check in was a little slow but understandable with the amount of guests arriving. Room on the 3rd floor was large and airy with a full length window giving a fantastic view over the Neva River. Comfortable bed, large flat screen TV, sofa and separate room with writing desk, fridge, safe and tea/coffee making facilities and well as a decent size bathroom made for a comfortable stay. Breakfast room is huge, well I suppose it has to be considering the size of the hotel and never had to wait or search for a table. Something for everyone at the many serveries including omelettes made freshly to order. We drank in the hotel bar before retiring for the night. Prices are decent and so is the beer. We also had a snack in there the first night which was nice. Location right on the river. Local restaurants and a convenience store round the back. Short walk to Cruiser Aurora and about a 25 minute walk to the far embankment so for us location was fine. For those night owls or like us getting an early flight home, the hotel is a great vantage point to watch the raising of the bridges across the river at night. My only two negatives are... tea and coffee replenishment in the room was a bit hit and miss as to what you got and I wish there was baked beans at breakfast and not kidney beans. I know it's not the end of the world but little things matter. Lovely stay and would not hesitate to stay here again.

1: The location of the hotel is very convenient. The interior is also very convenient. The economical and convenient hotel has two subway lines (blue and green) and it is only ten minutes walk. There are different exits in the subway to find the right exit. You can go in a lot. I have gone twice. Unfortunately, I haven’t found a long way to go. I may have gone for more than 20 minutes. I pass by Kazan Cathedral because of free attractions. Especially many, all kinds of groups, the speed of walking can not be lifted. Even so, every time the subway comes out, you can look at the magnificent architecture and it is a good mood. 2: The breakfast room is relatively small, the type is also OK, there are some, there are many people who have breakfast, less to see the nationals, foreigners in various places, the waiter guests are all in English. Communication is not a problem. 3: There is no kettle in the room. There is a water dispenser in each floor of the building. It is installed by yourself and there is a computer for internet access. 4: We live in the attic, the room is small, warmer, plus a bed, the bed is quite large (larger than the single bed is smaller than the double bed). Every day, the sun shines in, and the skylight can be opened. The washed clothes will be cool on the poles of the window. After a day of work, it will definitely dry. If it rains, it is best to call the hotel and ask him to help close the window. 5: There will be a taste of decoration in the room. We open the window during the day and open the window when people are not there. The room has an air conditioner remote, but did not see the air conditioner. So it didn't open, the key is that the ventilation of the window is very comfortable and does not require air conditioning. 6: On the street, the most lively Nevsky Avenue, has been very lively at night, there are various bands sing, the singer will continue until 11:30. In the middle of the night, there will be a slamming engine from time to time to make the motor madly turn, and the sound of the car is relatively loud. However, it is not felt to play tired and tired during the day. I feel loud when I feel nervous. 7: The facade of the hotel is not easy to find, and I accidentally went over. Just next to the Golden Triangle Hotel, the Golden Triangle is quite good, and there is a small outdoor coffee. The front desk is on the second floor. The elevator is upstairs. The front desk is very small. The English language is slick. There is no invitation for 200 rubles. Just look at the entry slip, and the luggage (for my visa Ctrip) is also free. 8: Opposite the hotel is a donut shop that has been in the fire since the Soviet era. It is a favorite doughnut for Russian locals plus a cup of tea or coffee to experience the local red food. I saw the queue. 9: The hotel is very lively, many food stores, most of them are tourists, many classics can walk. The Winter Palace, the General Staff Building, the Kazan Cathedral, the Cathedral of the Spilled Blood, and the docks of the ships are all nearby. Figure 1: Photo taken in the attic window. Figure 2: It is a photo of the room, and there is an extra bed, not photographed. Figure 3: Room windows. Figure 4: Pick up the facade of the hotel and miss it if you don't pay attention. Pay attention to the hotel LoGo on the wall when you follow the navigation. Figure 5: The name of the hotel on the building wall. Figure 6: Kazan Cathedral, which you can see when you walk to the subway station. Figure 7: The small river you see on the subway station. The farthest point of the river is the Cathedral of the Spilled Blood. Figure 8: It is the sweetness from the Soviet period to the present. Donut shop. It is said that the cat inside is the owner.

We were here for eight weeks (Feb/Mar/April) and were well-satisfied during our stay. 1.) It's close to the Frunzenskaya Metro (100 meters) 2.) The kitchenette allows for in-room meals - there's no restaurant on-site 3.) Daily room service -- change towels and sheets as needed 4.) Our room had a Murphy bed (wall bed) that closed during the day giving more space. Mattress quality was good -- firm not squishy. Pillows were a bit soft (synthetic fill) 5.) We did notice the walls can be a bit "thin" -- the floors are not carpeted and sound travels between rooms. For three nights during our stay we had some energetic kids in rooms down the hall and we were well aware of their "enthusiasm". Otherwise q quiet stay. 6.) The attached floor plan shows approx. room sizes. We had room 410 which was good sized. The bathroom was VERY spacious. Our room faced the street, but the windows were closed most of the time (duh...Feb - April visit) so street noise wasn't a problem. I can't say about summer months. 7.) The internet/Wi-Fi worked fine. One does need to re-log on every day or so, and use the password provided by the front desk. 8.) Daily newspaper available (Russian Kommersant...) 9.) There is a washer/dryer available (small cost to use). That allows for easier packing if you're staying longer than a week 10.) The "gym" is not impressive. Three machines in a small room. I suggest keeping the window open when using -- it can smell like a gym :-) 11.) Nice touch with a shoe cleaner/polisher in the front lobby. St. Petersburg is a walking/public transportation city. It was nice being able to clean one's shoes as needed. 12.) The business center was under renovation during our stay; there is a notary on the 2nd floor if you need documents certified 13.) We had a car for the first two weeks of our stay, and there is a first-come/first served parking yard behind the hotel. Space there is not guaranteed. 14.) Because of our extended stay, we qualified for a 20% discount. Our nightly rate for the two-months was about $30/night (Think Hampton Inn ambiance, only nicer) Rates were a good deal!

I stayed at this hotel for 4 nights this month, I selected it because of its location (it is in the main road, walking distance to the main sights, even the metro). I was not expecting something great due to the price I paid, but I was surprised when I entered the hotel: it is spotlessly clean, the receptionist are wonderful and will move the world for you. I don’t speak Russian and we were always able to communicate in English, which I did not find common there. I traveled solo, so I had the room just for myself, it was a 2 storage room with plenty of space for 1 or 2 people, with view to the main road (Nevsky Prospect). It was too cold outside, but they kept my room warm enough to be comfortable inside. They can arrange taxis for you, to pick you up at the airport or to take you somewhere, compare to what you find on the streets their prices are great and the drivers are welcoming. I would definitely stay again here if I ever come back to St Petersburg, and obviously I will recommend it to friends and family.

This hotel is the second stay, the first time was in August 2917. It was also a free trip, and that time it was with Wabao. This hotel is just off the Neva River, not far from the East Palace, St. Isaac's Cathedral, the Naval Library, etc. The hotel's changing streets are north of the Navy's office facilities. The police are 24 hours patrolling and it is safe to go to the hotel. Good to find. The hotel is not big, the price is reasonable, the breakfast room is very small but the quality is good, just by location, in short, it is good value for money. From the airport by bus to two cars a person 100 rubles, if the taxi (the Yandrx taxi app downloads the order) about 650–700 rubles. Another advantage of this hotel room is that there is a suite that can accommodate a family of three. Very real. Recommended.

It is located on the most prosperous Nevsky Street. It is not far from the railway station to the Kazan Cathedral, the book-top ball bookstore, and the Hermitage Square. The location is very good. There are many places to eat around. There are high, middle and low grades. You can walk to the subway station for ten minutes and go to the airport. Ye Palace and Summer Palace can take the subway and then change the bus to Neva Street Station. The transportation is convenient. Opposite is a zara building where you can buy clothes, there are various supermarkets and cosmetic stores on Nevsky Prospect, and it is very convenient to buy chocolate and granny Acafe skin care products.
