My parents and me we been there for 3 nights and 4 days was the best place so far. The staff is amazing we arrive arround 12 and they did the room early so we can do early check in and we can rest and leave all the things in the room. Was the 35 aniversary of my parents and one of the the ladies that works in the recepción and also she prepared the rooms , she help me to make the breakfast for the aniversary for my parents , and in the evening they left one nice letter and a present for my parents a limonchelo. The breakfast is a continental brekfast with a Italian touch was really nice you had everything to eat sweet sour , a properly breakfast to start your day with energy. The beds are super comfy and in the rooms that we had there was a jacuzzi and a litle garden that could have a drink . The location it’s really good you are 10 min to the beach and 5 to the centre. If I come again to Sorrento definitely I will choose this place again .

I booked this hotel as a last minute decision despite it having some poor reviews. Having stayed there for 6 nights I wonder if those people stayed in the same hotel. I thou roughly enjoyed my time at this hotel. Staff were friendly and helpful. Food was delicious breakfast was very good. The pool is great but I really loved the views from the roof terrace. It’s a fantastic location. I had a lovely room upgraded from a single. Would return to hotel like a shot. On a covid note, the staff were obsessive about cleaning. masks worn by everyone, even noting down who had each lounger and cleaning between each user, felt very safe as did Sorrento as a whole.

We arrived for a two night stay at the beginning of October, at the end of a two week, 1,000 mile tour of Southern Italy. The receptionist allowed us to park our hire car in the small car park at 11am, depsite the fact that check in was not officially until 2pm. We went and had lunch in the restaurant overlooking the sea and then we were allowed to check in just before 1pm. Throughout our stay I could not fault the service and helpfulness of the staff, most of whom tolerated my attempts at Italian and then replied in English! The room was commfortable and well equipped and the linen and bathroom were spotlessly clean, the staff even changed our bedding after night one. The restaurant was reasonably priced for a hotel in a tourist hot spot and the parking was just 30€ for what turned out to be something like 48 hours. There was a very comfortable library / lounge with a terrace a floor below overlooking the bay and it was a great place to sit and read and a very good place to watch the very exciting thunderstorm that happened on our first night. Our room 214 had good shutters that rendered the room very dark, combined with a very comfortable bed this made for great sleep. The centre of Sorrento is ten minutes' easy stroll away. Overall good value at 236€ for two nights including 6€ tourist tax.

Maison Lauren was absolutely fantastic. We stayed there only one night but we wanted to stay there for a month. The views were fantastic, the deck, the breakfast, and the best part was the staff. I like my reviews to be helpful to others, so I will add in a little bit of helpful info as well. When we arrived in Sorrento (via ferry) we decided to take a taxi to the hotel. We got there within five minutes and the taxi was 20 euros! My suggestion is to walk. It's only about a fifteen-minute walk from the port. When we arrived we were greeted by Simona - an extremely warm and gentle person! She showed us our room - which was amazing. The wrap-around-deck was fantastic, the large bedroom with a safe and mini-fridge was great, the bathroom was wonderful - it had everything you needed. She gave us our room key and then was very private and left us alone. It was nice. That evening we were left to explore the city (all within a ten-minute walking distance, if not closer - depending on what you are looking for). The bed is extra comfy and there is plenty of black-out curtains. In the middle of the night, we actually opened one of the doors and let the air-flow through the room. The next morning we woke up to a wonderful breakfast which Simona personally cooked for us - an omelet, toast, cappuccino and various other things. As we were getting ready to leave she gave us a big hug and told us to be sure to return. How could we not return to such a wonderful place?? I would recommend this hotel to anyone and everyone. Thanks, Maison Lauren and personally Simona!

We have just returned home from spending a week at The Night in Sorrento. We were greeted by the lovely Davide who was very friendly and went through all the information we needed to know for the week. It's located at the end of Corso Italia-the opposite end to the station but it only takes 10 mins to get there walking. It's close to everything you will need. We had 2 twin rooms and both were immaculately clean! The rooms are of a good size. The bathrooms are pretty large and look brand new. There is a disco light shower which is fab and the shower is really good and poweful-I didn't want to get out! Tea and coffee is provided and you also have a fridge is you want to buy milk etc. There's a flat screen tv. And loads of towels!! A simple breakfast is provided. They give you a voucher for the cafe next door where you receive a choice of croissant or brioche and a huge coffee and a orange juice. If you want a large English breakfast you won't receive this here but we enjoyed our breakfast and was enough for us. We would DEFINITELY stay here again!

Hotel breakfast is good, equivalent to the star hotel level, save the hotel method: from the pier, then take a 1 euro lift, reach the above city (photo 1), then walk 8 minutes through the small square to reach the Grand Plaza (with flags , photo 2), then take the main street (walking path, photo 3), various shops on both sides, you can buy drinks in the fries shop of photo 4, and take a rest on the chair opposite the church door (photo 5) (also Take a drink at the roadside bar), then continue on, go down the slope on the side of the hospital (square), turn left at 50 meters, walk for 7 minutes, reach the road junction where you can drive, then Turn right and walk 100 meters across the road (passing an uphill parking lot) and you are at the hotel.

We were met by a lovely entourage, and as we were pretty much the only people staying they were very attentive. The room was very nice, big and airy and had its own balcony... we couldn’t get the tv to work as i think the batteries were dead in the remote... we only wanted to be able to catch up on world news so no big issue. No coffee/tea making stuff but a quick call down and that was sorted. Two issues though: firstly, we were not advised that being out of season, the restaurant and grill area would be closed... we had to eat out for every meal bar breakfast which was a continental one thoughtfully brought to our room at a time of our choice. Because of this our trip got quite a bit more expensive and as Sorrento is closed up, it got quite difficult to find somewhere to eat... especially Tuesday evening where everything seemed to be closed! Secondly, we were under the impression the Spa is part of the experience and would be open to guests, however, that was closed on Tuesday too, and there was a €40 charge each for 1.5 hours use of basic facilities such as whirlpool and sauna... we used it one afternoon and also had a treatment each... after choosing, and filling out disclaimers, we were then persuaded to “upgrade”. We both went for deep tissue massages as we are sports people, but it was more like a nice relaxing massage! I guess they’re used to more “fragile” customers! The three hour afternoon cost us €250 that we hadn’t budgeted for as we thought we could use everyday as part of the package. All in all though, a lovely stay... out of season may be a hassle... but it meant our visit to Pompeii was without crowds, and the temperature was great for a long days walking!

Very centrally located but just far enough away from the start of the main drag of shops towards town . A 10-15 min AMBLE ( you could rush it in 5 !) to Piazzo Tasso the main square. There is a cafe below that opens about 7am So great to get coffee and another place opposite for breakfasts . The main drag is closed off to cars so you don’t get the noise of traffic . You do get the noise of families staying up late in the square but that’s a normal thing for town life . If you’re looking for peace and quiet book further out of town ...wifi is a bit slow . We had 3 rooms and all were immaculate , windows to the floor , good air conditioning, hair dryer, big wall safe , cleaned daily. Lady who ran the place was lovely.. very friendly. On arrival you had to ring a number and someone came within 5 minutes with the keys ,we had a coffee in the cafe downstairs while we waited. It was all very easy . Would stay here again . There is not someone always on duty at reception/office as you would in a typical hotel and once you’ve checked in you’re left very much to your own devises which suited us great. This seems to be the norm as we had other friends staying further down the road in a similar setup where office hours were kept also. Highly recommend this place . Just a thought...I’d recommend emailing your approximate arrival time as there is not always someone sat in the office and it’s gives them notice . Great place .

This spotlessly clean suite is attached to the owner's house. We were given a very friendly welcome by Maria and her lovely son who was very helpful. Maria speaks only a little English, and I speak no Italian beyond polite responses but we managed well. There is a large room with bed, comfortable sofa, table and chairs, and a kettle with tea and coffee was provided. The bathroom is very spacious. Guests are allowed to wander in the lovely grounds in which lemon and orange trees are a feature. There is outdoor furniture on the patio. It is a relatively easy walk to the station and the historical centre is on the doorstep. It is also only just over 5 minutes walk - hill involved from the Grand Harbour and its wonderful fish restaurants. Breakfast was served in the main house (rainy weather) and was absolutely delicious. I highly recommend this lovely guest house.

My partner and I stayed at Villa Giovanna last week for 7 nights. We booked the villa through for a great price. We contacted the hotel prior to arrival to ask about getting from train station to there and were told to let them know when we arrive and that a taxi would be provided, which it was. This was excellent as it would have cost €32. On arrival, we were warmly greeted by Laura and given paperwork and the key. We were taken to the room promptly and offered a welcome drink. The location is really quaint, but don't expect perfection! The location is among olive and lemon trees with a gorgeous view of the sea. There are lots of little ghekos and birds. As you are high up in Sorrento, the walk up/down is fairly steep but the views are gorgeous. I would not recommend the walk in midday sun or if you have trouble walking far. It only takes around 20mins down though. The hotel provides a shuttle service and the 2 guys that run this are brilliant. The only thing is that they only do 9am and midday then 5pm and 8pm so I think they would be better putting on a 10.30am and 6.30pm too. The hotel has a bar but doesn't do food other than a basic breakfast (cereals, pastries, toast and hot drinks), so if you are planning on a lazy day round the pool, I'd get some sandwiches for lunch. The room we had was 105 round the back, on the corner. The rooms are very basic but cleaned each day. There is a small wardrobe for storage but no hangers, shelves or draws so maybe this is something the hotel could look into. The main thing we missed this holiday was an outdoor space, we usually have a balcony. There was 2 seats outside our room but it was basically a shared walkway to rooms so nobody used this. You couldn't leave clothes out to dry here either as it was shaded. There seemed to be an issue with the air con during our stay meaning it only worked 2/7 days unfortunately. We did find this really difficult as it was in the 30's most of the week. The staff were very apologetic about the air con and genuinely felt terrible, this is something I assume they will fix soon. The other issue with our particular room was that the pipes for at least upstairs and next door went behind the bed, so anyone going to the loo or having a shower late woke us up. The room has no fridge but there is a safe and a hair dryer. Towels are provided and changed each day. The hot water can take a while to come through, but it does work so just be patient. Again, another pointer for the hotel is that the shower could really do with a ledge to stop it flooding the bathroom floor. The rooms are not 5* and the hotel does not claim to be, so I would just advise you to be realistic for the price you pay here. The location within Sorrento was perfect for us. We simply needed a base for sleeping and showering and it was perfect for that. On the days we rested, there was always room by the little pool and you could read and sunbathe in peace. There seemed to be confusion about the

My husband and I recently came here for our honeymoon, and we were so happy we did. The hotel has a good location; a short walk to the center of town, beautiful views. The property and room were well maintained, and clean. We were very comfortable. The building and property is gorgeous; it is modern, but still respects the original building. From 2 people with an architectural background, we really appreciated the amount of detail was placed in the building and rooms. The staff were incredible; we had such great service and enjoyed interacting with them. The Lorelei restaurant has some of the best food that we have ever tried. The food was delicious and beautifully presented. The waiters were knowledgeable on the ingredients and were able to recommend some local wines and foods for us to try there. A+ service. We can't wait to return!

Firstly this hotel is quite upscale so from the moment we arrived the staff on reception were very professional and welcoming, checking in process was simple and only took moments ( you know sometimes it can take ages ) then straight to our room and the luggage arrived a few minutes later. We booked the classic with sea view and it was a decent size and the view was of the sea but wish we could have had a slightly better view. The room had huge wardrobe, mini bar bar/ fridge, coffee making machine plus a kettle, room safe and air con , it was super clean and the bed and linen were the highest quality and extremely comfortable. The bathroom had all you need with complimentary soaps etc etc. Pool area is a decent size and sunbeds very comfortable, courtesy towels are provided and there is a elevated cafe area ( which actually goes over a quarter of the pool ) only downside was the amount of flies and mosquitos but that's what you get in a hot humid climate. ( buy some spray ) Breakfast was superb with a great choice of hot and cold items plus a many cake & bun options. All staff were nice but special mention about our room cleaner who kept the room clean and tidy 👏👏 And as a final point the hotel is only a 4 minute walk into Piazza Tasso , about 15 mins to the train station and restaurants start about 2 minutes away. That about covers it , super hotel in a super location so no hesitation in recommending the Continental.

When we arrived in Sorrento on January 1st without our luggage (airline mess up), we made a decision to have it ruin our trip or deal with it. After 3 days of no luggage the Hotel staff stepped in and offered to help. I am sure that they would have even helped sooner, but we were dealing with it pretty good up till then. When they jumped in, they went over and above making calls and arrangements to try and get our luggage back. They were very instrumental in helping up get all returned (4 days without it). The staff was the best ever, and the hotel was spotless anywhere you looked, you can tell they take great pride in their service and upkeep of the property. AND, let’s discuss breakfast, not your usual “continental” breakfast. My 20-year old daughter said, on the last day, that she looked forward to breakfast “every” day. We all laughed, as we were all thinking the same thing! Breakfast was an experience, not a meal. Two months after returning home I still wish I could recreate the experience. Location-wonderful, right off Piazza Tasso, and during Epiphany week, the lights and holiday atmosphere was still very vibrant. Although I “thought” I would have liked to have come to Sorrento for my first trip during a warmer month, I now am glad we came when we did. This is a great week to come and really experience a holiday in Italy. Thank you Hotel Antiche Mura, for your care and concern during our stay, I can’t wait to come back! This time with luggage!!

I would say that this is probably one of my most favourite stays in any hotel I have stayed at. The hotel is so small, but don't let that put you off, its means personalised service, beautiful rooms and excellent breakfast with fresh fruits, homemade cakes (they are to die for) and eggs of your choice every day. We stayed 4 nights and really didn't want to leave. The room was immaculate, large, bright and airy with views over the streets below. The B&B is situated on a quiet street but you are in the heart of everything, its a perfect location. Its just the most perfect spot and they have thought of everything. I have recommended the hotel to everyone I know that is thinking of visiting Sorrento, as it was a truly amazing stay.

The hotel was in a good location , close to train /bus station and main square. Most staff friendly and helpful. Food ok ( veg always over cooked). Several choices each evening, not always hot. We found food was hotter the earlier we went down. Waiters a little too eager to clear plates, some nights we were still eating when they came and whipped the plates away! Hotel clean although the clothes drawers were dusty when we unpacked. A little disappointed in the fact that the hotel didn’t seem bothered that our shower was leaking(no seals around the doors) we reported it several times as it made the bathroom floor very wet and slippery. Luckily we didn’t fall! Room was overlooking the pool so relatively quiet . A little on the small side but adequate. Beds very firm. Would advise asking for a room with a bath over looking the pool as the front may be noisy and the back looks onto the train track. On the night of the entertainment(piano player plus singer) we were unable to get seats as people had gone off but left bags coats on the chairs/sofas Roof terrace a sun trap and good views.

I spent 4 nights with my family in this wonderful bed& breakfast in the real downtown of Sorrento and everything was perfect! The position Is strategic for visiting all the coast, as well as Pompei and Capri. Very close to train station and Sorrento harbour. Breakfast Is eccellent, with homemade cakes and marmelades, fruit and cold/hot drinks. Rooms are really new,Wide and comfortable, full of innovative appliances and spotless. There' a basket with cookies and crackers and coffee/tea boiler. The fridge Is daily refurbished with cold drinks. Even if you are really downtown you can sleep like a baby! Everything Is calm and silent! But what makes the real difference Is the presence of the two owners Vera and Antonino: they are very professional (they can suggest and even organize any excursion) but really open hurted...they put a lot of passion in Giardino segreto and can feel it! I highly recommend this B&B and I Hope to go back soon!!
