I was berated as soon as I arrived (mind you, I was dripping wet from the downpour of rain and clearly not in a good mood) by the hotel clerk for an issue with my company credit card. I arrived on a Sunday and he scolded me repeatedly because no one at the company was answering the call to deal with the issue. OF COURSE THEY DIDNT, it was Sunday. When I left on the Friday before, I was told the credit card was authorized without issue. The service was overall very rude. Once I called down to the front desk for an iron and the clerk said 'yes but you have to come get it'. Clearly, they don't know how to treat guests here and/or are overworked and understaffed. Either way, they need to improve.

The charm of this hotel resides in their ability to deliver luxury in its most humble and genuine form. Forget about extravagance and let yourself be embraced by a home-like feeling when staying there. I had the chance to enjoy two nights in room 02, which has a view of their patio (see picture). Their breakfast is out of the world: pancakes, waffles, ratatouille, cheeses, you name it! I would recommend trying their jam selection if you are a toast lover. Their ”Made in Market” has a wide selection of Belgian local products, and let's not mention their complimentary infusion made of a unique blend. But what stood out the most for us was their sincere passion for hospitality and way of taking care of us. I will definitely be staying at the Made in Louise next time I travel to Brussels, and so should you!

Nice hotel, with truly gracious staff. Recommended. The room was large and very comfortable. The little garden in the back was nice, but the bar stopped serving at 22:00. The only disappointment. Other than that I must say that the staff is the main reason to chose this hotel: truly nice, helpful and professsional.

We were staying at the Sofitel because of our tour company. After I tested positive for Covid, the tour company left us on our own. Thankfully, hotel management was very responsive (especially Herve Deniau, Executive Asst. Mgr., and Laurence Umulisa, Guest Relation & Duty Manager). They extended our stay without hesitation. Our room was more than adequate. The bed was very comfortable, and the amenities (robe, slippers, Nespresso, small refrigerator and fluffy towels) were excellent and appreciated. The location of the hotel is perfect. There is a park nearby, lots of restaurants (good selection for take out), and a grocery store. There was a pharmacy right out the front door of the hotel - Jourdanpharma. Covid tests were 29 euros - Michael and his staff were friendly and compassionate - great customer service. Once I tested negative, it was easy to get the required documentation to fly home. Given our circumstances, the hotel staff made our stay less stressful. We would definitely stay at this hotel again.

Incredibly well placed hotel. Right in the center of Brussels, everything is accessible on foot. Spacious room, nice and clean bathroom despite the toilet wedged between a wall and a sink. (Do not abuse fries and waffles otherwise you will spend more) The hotel has a huge advantage. However the big problem with this hotel is the service. The service is deplorable, frosty welcome, no smile, hello tear off, no please, no thanks ... the polite expressions are all forgotten. Upon arrival, I was asked for a bank card and identity card, ok I give. White is palpable in the room. Then I ask him why he enters my card numbers because I had everything on the internet, he spontaneously replied ”Beh for the deposit”. No worries, this is understandable, however, he could just tell us, and also give us the amount that was going to be blocked, which I only saw because I looked on the TPE ... very little shopping again . We encountered two fairly basic problems. We ran out of toilet paper, so I ask the receptionist if he can give it to us, the answer was ”Abon? Oh well I am amazed. Wait, I'll see if I can find that for you. ” Very surprised by this reflection, we had the impression of having stolen toilet paper, we left empty-handed, toilet paper in hand. In addition we asked 3 times to 3 different employees to change a bulb that no longer worked in our room, something that was never done despite staying 3 nights. Very disappointed by this considerable lack of service / politeness for a four star ... Too bad because this hotel has great potential. Ps: I'm still waiting for my billing email.

Our stay was from 28/12/2019 - 01/01/2020 The Arrival: We arrived from airport at 9am in Brussels. We walked from city center to the hotel an easy, safe route straight roads all well lit and signed post. This took 25 minutes. A young male reception staff took our suitcases for us as the room was not available yet due to early arrival. This was no problem as we were able to explore the surroundings. Beautiful parks and museams all within a ten minutes walk (recommend to all). Check in is a 3pm. The Area: Now its the weekend you would expect more shops to be open around the hotel however it is the xmas period break so majority of shops were either closed, opened on evening or after 11am. There were some small market shops open to get snacks and goodies that were within a 15 minute walk in this particular area however once you walked into the town center their are plenty of stalls and shops. The hotel is located to the europeon commision office as the hotel is in the europeon district. Transport: €2.10/2.40 price of the tram/ train service direct to town center...Also a train that goes direct from airport to hotel stop (Schuman) which we caught on Way back home. Their is a tram pass for only €7.5 for the day where you can use at many places. We Travelled to Bruges and also Antwerp. Their is also a local bus service outside the hotel. Back To Hotel: It was now time to check in, the Older gentlemen at the reception this time did approach us differently to the 1st male. However this is because we are young 24/26. Once showing own manners the Older male was alot more open and friendly. He always had a smile and his face. Our room was 501. The Room: Alot of mixed reviews on this site. Here Is our thoughts. The room we were given was very spacious. It has a mini fridge which worked and nice and clean. Tea and coffee Facilities and a bottle of water for free. Usual shampoo and conditioner supplied for free. The Bed was the highlight, it was the Most comfortablest bed we have ever slept on and was an actual double bed not two twin beds which was pushed together which was a bonus. The blanket was perfect for the weather and given two plump pillows each. The room decor was Art work around which shown character. The shower was perfect for me however my husband who is 6.5ft made a big mess as the glass sides of the shower did not cover where the water moved due to height. This caused water to leak over the bath screen however was alright for me due to being 5.5ft. One thing we did notice although the carpet was cleaned not dirt or dust their were some bleach markings on the carpet but this did not ruin our stay. Black our curtains Were great. Air condtioning was also a bonus. Hotel Facilities: They served breakfast however we can't review it due to not having it as we always ate out as the price was a bit to much for breakfast. But we wished we did try ot as the area was comfy and friendly but also stylish. Travelling out for new years: Try every food

I came to this hotel with my sister to visit the Atomium and Mannekin Pis in Brussels - two bucket list locations of mine for over 20 years for two nights. I loved the hotel because the beds were so comfortable. They had a thick mattress topper on and the duvet was lovely and thick too. Extra pillows were in the room and it all made for a heavenly night’s sleep. There was an issue with the TV remote on arrival and in a nutshell it needed new batteries. Took it down to reception who replaced the whole remote within minutes. Staff were extremely approachable and friendly, spoke English, and I was also very impressed with the bar being open all night long!! Spent the first night enjoying quite a few pints of the local beer! Breakfast was also exceptional and the nicest continental breakfast I’ve ever had. There was a decent selection of cheese and meats, crepes, toppings and even an easy to use waffle maker! Juice, water and hot drinks were available (the nicest hot chocolate ever!), as well as fruit and pastries. The bathroom was perfectly fine for the room but the only issue I did encounter was the shower sometimes could randomly go from normal temperature to scalding hot then back to the normal temperature again, without being touched. But a minor issue in the grand scheme of things! The only thing with this hotel is how far from everything it really is. I booked this hotel for the Atomium and it is easily a 20-25 minute walk away, so not close-by by any means. The nearest tram or metro stop is 15-20 minutes away, and a petrol station is outside the front door. That said, the area was very quiet and the hotel was a very cheap break, but it is very much out in the sticks and not particularly close to anything. We did find Brussels as a city very boring, but would recommend anyone visiting the city stay much more central, unless visiting for the Expo which was opposite. If not, stay in a hotel much more central, because even for the Atomium this hotel is not that close-by.

We had sought a affordable accommodation in Brussels and decided on the basis of the good reviews for this B&B. Communication with the host had worked well in advance. Unfortunately, at the agreed time we were in front of the closed door. A call to the host showed that he probably had sent a SMS that he was not there. We had not received the SMS. The door code was then passed by phone and so we could at least in our room. After dinner we met the host shortly, he told us the breakfast time. Unfortunately the night was not very good. There was a celebration in the house, it was very noisy, you couldn't sleep. Apparently, smoking was also smoked at this celebration, smoking was dragged into our room, that was not pleasant. If there were parking places, we cannot judge because we are looking for a free parking place on the street. Breakfast was ok. We didn't see the host next day. In all, I would not recommend the accommodation in full.

The location of this hotel was nice. A few steps from a subways station and a few meters to some major attractions. However on weekend everything seems to be clouded so we had to settle for a few shops to eat and I mean a FEW! No convince store around except on Sundays..... The room was clean and lovely! Nice spacious with mini kitchen included. Why I rated it down was for the service, in which, they had none! We arrived late Friday afternoon and us and a few other people where unable to get in the door. Calling the number said they put a door void in our confirmation email. No, as we booked through trip. Then with a code we are to open a box and find an envelop with our name on it. Also having our Full name, check in and out dates and room number! Wow so anyone could take the card and choose a different room if they wanted. Or right down my info and track my stay. Also all this info was on a “6o second” presentation on a tv in the lobby. English or French. Lastly on the weekend NO ONE IS AVAILABLE TO HELP! As I now know most of Brussels down down is closed on weekend. It was nerve wrecking. Then on a Sunday tried to use the luggage room but again no code and no one answered the phone. Had to tote it around with me. They sell rooms on a booking service, they should be more accommodating to foreigners that may book.

It's close to Central Station and the Grand Place is near, so I could go to see the lights up at night. The rooftop bar on the roof was very busy. It's bright until late at night, so you can see the night view when the store is closed. It's cold, but blankets are available for rent. It was a big hotel, so it was a little far from the room. All the places were clean and luxurious. I could see the Grand Place tower from the window. It was good that all the people at the front desk were kind.

Does this restaurant have breakfast? I don't think there is a place for breakfast. The front desk didn't introduce me to breakfast either. The biggest feature is that the stairs are steep and there is no elevator. The reception desk on the first floor. The reception desk is called because there is no hall, all of which are ten square meters in size, and they are closed after get off work at night. I don't know the specific time when I get off work. I went downstairs after 7 o'clock in the morning with the sliding doors closed. There are several rooms on the second floor, and two rooms on each floor above the second floor. I live in the highest room No. 6, and my suitcase is 31.8kg. Look at the stairs in the picture. The first one is from the first floor to the second floor, and then there is a spiral staircase. It's so difficult! The location is very convenient, just near the main square. I still recommend that you live in Novotel, Ibis or Hilton. Are all next to each other. This hotel is too bad. Especially Chinese people go to Europe with a lot of luggage. The hotels I'm talking about are very close to Brussels Central Station, a five-minute walk. Novotel or Hilton and the train station are just across the door. There are many thieves in Belgium, so everyone must pay attention, especially not to reveal the rich. Europe is terrible now.

This hotel is superb, the receptionist is polite, the English communication is smooth, the room is large, the bathroom and the bathroom are independent. Separate shower and bathtub There is also a separate double electric sauna. The location is OK, we took a taxi from Brussels MIDI train station here, 9.2 euros €, and walk for 20 minutes. Walk to the Louise Metro for 5 minutes. The downtown area of Brussels is small, the main attractions are concentrated around the Grand Place, we are walking along the way, slowly enjoying the scenery. This hotel is in serious need of remodeling. Furniture is used, looks and feels tired and old, floors - especially in room bathroom - look dirty, shower in a bathtub into which you must climb and with plastic curtain with little room for you to move (when wet, curtain ”grabs” you), low water flow and pressure. Closet doors squeaky and difficult to open/close. few AC plugs available to charge PC and phone. On 2nd night cold water was shut off. In morning, it was still off. Reception took 40 minutes to finally give me access to another room with working shower, I got to my appointment late. Toilet tank malfunctioning, starting 2nd day I had to fill it by hand by using wastebasket in bathroom. No sewing kit, no slippers, no toothbrush kit. My room (509) was on back side of hotel with no traffic noise and very quiet - this is great - but had a door to the next room. Could clearly hear the person in the other room speak, cough, sneeze and else ... I assume he could hear me just the same. Room door literally slams shut with a ”bang” - very annoying if you're sleeping. Personnel was friendly and available, breakfast OK for my needs. Location is good with parking on street, free between 18:00 and 9:00 hours. Saw other reviews about hotel in need of renovation. Hope owners will do it soon and I'll come back also.

The standard room and the superior room are quite different. When we first came, we stayed in the standard room. The bed was very soft. I didn't feel comfortable when I fell asleep. The bed was made up of two small beds. This time it was the last day to walk from Brussels and still booked this hotel. Because of some temporary conditions, I booked only a few superior rooms with Ctrip at the hotel door. Thanks for Ctrip's prompt response! In contrast, the superior room is really good. On the seventh floor, the bed is moderately soft and hard, the bathroom is large, and the forest shower is very comfortable. We ended up adding breakfast, 15 euros per person, but the breakfast at the European hotel is really not cost-effective, fruit yogurt, bread, egg coffee, that's all ... I actually ate some fruit after spending this money ... so Breakfast is still not recommended for the hotel. There is nothing to eat early in the vicinity of this hotel, unless you go to a nearby supermarket to buy some dry food the next day, or go to the center for breakfast later.

If you are not used to Western food, there is a Chinese restaurant in the vicinity of Confucius. However, it is a little far from the attraction, and it is very convenient to call and call uber. The room is large with two queen size beds. There is no need for an extra bed with children. When I placed the order, I didn't see any breakfast. It was added to the hotel. Location is too high. You can reach the Grand Place and Brussels Central Station within 5 minutes on foot. The atmosphere is good because the old building is renovated, and the accommodation was on the ground floor, but there was no courtyard, there were windows, and there was no closed feeling. However, the bathroom lighting was not turned on at the time of entry, I asked for a response, but it seemed that there was only one staff, it took about an hour until I got safe, I wanted to leave my luggage and go out immediately Had to wait in the room till then, wasting a little time. No tea set or refrigerator. There was an air conditioner and there was a vent, but there was no remote control in the room. Is it all centralized management?

We stayed in a studio apartment for 4 nights, the room had everything we needed. Bed was a pull out bed, comfortable, we asked for extra pillows and they were in the room waiting, bathroom and toilet are separate but still private, small Juliet balcony, handy for letting in fresh air, noisy outside but to be expected due to location, once the door was closed there was no issue. Metro right outside, super market across the road, 5 min walk to main square. Customer service was brilliant, very friendly, very helpful, nothing was too much trouble, even when they were busy. About a 15 min walk from Centrum train station. Hotel location is super good. The attractions are all on foot and there is food downstairs. There is also a supermarket not far away. There is parking. Repair the road when we go over there. So I didn't drive in. Can add an extra bed. Bring a 6-year-old child. Free extra bed. Sleep well

Good location, you can buy near you There is a Chinese supermarket in the alley downstairs But the service really has to talk When I was in CHECKIN, I could n’t find our order for a long time. After a few people changed, I finally found it and asked us to take a deposit. I asked if the deposit was not reflected in the order. Impatiently said no We ordered breakfast, and when I went to the basement for breakfast, I was told that it was not included. CHECKOUT, collected local taxes, our 2 girls, called UBER, went to the airport, a few big bags, no one helped. . . .

The door is small and parking is available on the side of the road without charge. The room is not large, the middle of the bed is raised, and it feels like falling off the bed. The design of the bathroom in the picture below is incomprehensible. There is no water blocking, and the floor is easily wet. Breakfast is very good, with lots of fruits, macarons are particularly delicious ...

I stayed in by chance, because my first decision was another hotel that was closed without having told me anything. It was really a surprise to go there. My stay has been very good. They offered me a very large room, very comfortable and very well equipped. They wouldn't clean the room if you didn't ask for it. However my room was cleaned twice in 6 days. For the first days the breakfast was a picnic that consisted of different things, enough. Afterwards there was a buffet. Highly recommended.

The breakfast is rich and convenient. The card that I bought for ten times has not been used up. Because the hotel is very convenient to walk, this hotel is a high-end hotel with high cost.

The location is very good! Right in Brussels Square! The boss is also very nice. When we two girls came to check in, they gave me a twin room (although I live alone) and taught us how to use the professional coffee machine at the bar. The room is clean and tidy, and the bathroom is a bit old but does not affect the use. During the epidemic, the restaurant of the hotel will not be open to the public. You can order takeaway or buy it back to eat in the restaurant. The overall price is 55 Euros a night, which is a good deal.

While this hotel has an excellent location, the website and description is incredibly misleading. While they do participate in the Marriott brand program, what is in the very fine print is that you do not get all the Marriott benefits which they tell you only if you ask. The rooms are incredibly small, dark, not functional and in very poor shape. From dirty carpets and windows that are blocked from opening to coffee and wine stains on the walls, the staff will make the excuse it’s an old hotel and nothing they can do. With the exception of one front desk employee, most of the staff is condescending and rude. It’s better to stay a bit further from the center for better value, nicer accommodations at a more favorable rate.

Very good stay experience! The hotel is in a good location, next to the EU Headquarters building. The Kafenio restaurant and PUB opposite are good choices. The interior of the hotel is also very characteristic and the room facilities are normal. Breakfast is ok and check in is quick. The Baylermont area it belongs to is also worth visiting.

Great location, room was clean (but noisy)and service was okay. Upon arrival they assigned me a single room, while I booked a double. Luckily they were able to solve it. Overal, a nice stay.

We stayed for a few nights while checking out Brussels and the Christmas market. Chose this hotel for its location based on its reviews and it didn't disappoint. Minutes walk away from the Grand Place and right next door to a metro stop if you wanted to venture that little bit further away. The Hotel was nice and clean, had a unique decor taste which i really quite liked. The staff were helpful. Room was just as it was pictured, the toilet was interesting, basically stuck in a cupboard! only gripe was our room did not have a view. Faced the rear courtyard and fire escapes of other buildings in the block. Breakfast was included in our price, and offered a good variety of choice. Perfect start to the day. The bar attached i found to be too fucused on gin and customers wanting gin. I fancied a beer and got ignored repeatedly by the woman behind the bar as she was too focused on selling her gin. oh well! Apart from that, we would definitely stay again for the price we paid but will drink else where.
