We were exhausted when we found this place and can confirm its Tripadvisor rating as the worst rated hotel in Lisieux. It must also be the worst hotel in the Logis guidebook, which is saying a lot. It is absolutely awful. It is very run down and on a noisy road. The old carpets and a greasy smell greet unwary guests. Our room was above kitchen which had a radio blasting and a horrible odor permeated into our bedroom which made one retch, especially in the morning. It had unusable wifi, foul smelling blankets and a dangerous, super filthy shower head. As a final insult, without asking, they added 19 euros onto our bill for unwanted breakfast and refused to refund on the next day. This hotel might have been a pleasant place once but it should have been booted out of the Logis hotel chain long ago.

Very good and clean, small. The surname of the landlord’s family has evil Crimea kneading to break the company’s military base. Hehe is speechless. My mother-in-law is hot and hot.

It is not expensive, that’s true. However, it is very worn out and, in my opinion, depressing. The room was spacy and so was the bathroom. Good points were that the sheets were clean and shower was ok. However, in addition to the very worn out general picture, it was not that clean and they had forgotten to empty the bin from the bathroom. The layout on of hotel is slightly annoying, if you want to avoid the lift (not really a problem though) and they started construction work really early in the floor above us (I think it was 7am, but it might have been 8am). This might be a good place to someone who doesn’t care at all of the surroundings, but to me it was not worth of the 60 euros we paid.

Super location in the town centre, and with free secure parking so we felt very happy leaving our car here too. The apartment we were given was big enough to move into permanently - absolutely lovely - plenty of space and having the kitchen was brilliant. We were able to chill some fruit and drinks and really relax for the final nights of our trip around Normandy. Friendly check in, This is a beautiful property - we didn't use the bar as we wanted to hang out in our apartment but we did sit in the garden in the sun one afternoon which was lovely too and we were also able to use the indoor pool. Disliked · Only one small observation - we struggled to find the car park! But a couple of trips around the block and we worked it out - another sign when you drive around the corner pointing us to the right access point would have been helpful!

The hotel has good road links but it is not in the town. Rooms were fine but try to make sure you are not on the top floor or you will have the sloping attic room cutting off about 1/3 of the room space. The beds were a bit tired / soft. There was a small fridge but no safe. The bathroom was OK but a little older. The restaurant for breakfast and dinner was surprisingly good. I recommend that. There are some restaurants close by incl McD and some big supermarkets eg LIDL, eLeclerc. The staff were fine and one was super helpful getting me an extra pillow so thanks for that. There is a small pool and some outdoor seating

Short one night stop over to break up the 12 hour journey to Bordeaux region. Very poorly sign posted and if you miss turning you have to go about 3 miles to get back. We arrived about 11pm, and had to use outside automated machine to check in. The machine was filthy and antiquated. It took ages to “check in” for the two rooms we had booked for our family of 7. Eventually we got a room cards and went up to our rooms. We got into one room but the key for the second room wouldn’t work. We went back to automated machine to try and get a duplicate to no avail. We eventually rang for help on the number given and a young lady came to meet us fairly quickly. We unfortunately don’t speak French and she spoke very little English. After typing our problem into a translated page on her computer we were given a second room key. We went up again to try and get our children to bed. The key didn’t work. We went to reception again, called the young lady again and were given another key. Relieved to find this one worked, we opened the door wide and switched on the lights for our boys and found a family of 4 already asleep in there and terribly shocked at us bursting in on them! We went back to reception a third time, no apology, a new key, and the young lady took us to the room to check no one already in this new one!!! Really!!! All in all took us about an hour to get into room. Room terribly basic. Windows opened wide which was nice and cool, but not safe if you have small children. And a plastic “cubicle ” which contained the tiny toilet and shower . All together a pretty grim experience. Luckily just to get our head down for the night! Cheap, but aweful

Stopped here on our journey from north west England to southern Spain. This ibis has had quite a recent update and was of a very high standard for their ‘budget’ brand. Similar to all the layouts of these hotels, it’s a double bed with one single bunk above. Bed was clean and comfy (quite hard but I like that!), bathroom was spotless and shower had plenty of hot water. Secure parking and friendly reception. Location is great, supermarket across the road and 24hr petrol station. Plenty of restaurants around hotel too although mostly chains. Couldn’t ask for more!

A well run hotel and a credit to the patrons and staff. Room was spacious and very clean, well fitted and a good comfy bed. Along with being efficiently run, the staff are all very friendly and will assist in all matters arising. Many staff are fluent in 2/3 languages Breakfast and evening meals served are of good quality and choice, along with some interesting aperatifs and digestifs. Thor Boyo was much enjoyed! Parking is close to the suites and is ample. A great city to explore on your doorstep, with the likes of Caen, Bayeux and some wonderful noted towns all within comfortable distances. The area is noted for its half timbered houses, cheeses and Calvados. Pay a visit to Chateau Breuil to taste the Calvados products, say high to Amelie. Looking to return later in the year.
