|0.57km from city centerStaying at the hotel is a surprise on the road. Originally because I was driving by car, I stayed in Trusillo for one night at night. I didn't expect the town to be quaint. The hotel is located next to the Plaza Mayor in the center of the town. It is very convenient to eat and sightseeing. The decor of the hotel is also ancient, like a castle. The special point is that the breakfast at the hotel is great. Because of this hotel, I may come to this place in the future.

|63.13km from city centerWe used this hotel as a stopping point on the way to the Algarve, it is ideally situated near the main road. My husband is a wheelchair user and we asked for an accessible room (room 123) which was perfect. The twin beds are large and a good height for a wheelchair transfer, there is room under the bed for a hoist too. We moved the bed against the wall to help him with the transfer, plenty of room to manoeuvre his chair. Excellent bathroom for his needs too. The staff are very kind and helpful, we enjoyed an excellent meal in the restaurant and we very well looked after during the evening. Lots of parking and easy to find. Really pleased with this hotel and we have booked to stay again later this month.

We were in peace with my husband and I.
The room was good and the hotel's pool was very nice.
The bad thing was that the beach of the bath was unhealthy and they disconsequently disagreed with the bathroom, but it wasn't bad and it wasn't bad.
If you don't like golf or sailing is also a good place.
We had dinner there and we liked it ( about 80€).
We also had breakfast in the cafeteria (no buffet) and it was very good.
The air conditioning was essential.

We did not sleep a wink as the spring beds were literally the most uncomfortable bed ive ever slept on! There is NO privacy glass/frosted pane windows in the bathroom!!! Im sure that's illegal and an utter disgrace. We booked the hotel for an indoor pool. We asked the reception how we use it, she said it was off limits, full. i think we saw two people in the whole hotel!! To top it off, the shower was an absolute shocker, you have to run the water FOR 20 MINUTES, before it gets scalding hot, followed by freezing within 30 seconds.....and then hot again! 20 minutes of water wasted each use. Terrible. Who has 20mins to pre-plan a shower! Our 'breakfast' was a stale roll with slices of kiwi and a miniscule pot of margarine. Their only saving grace is the lovely lady who served us this abomination. For covid times, you'd think hotels would go the extra mile. This was quite the opposite

Converted tastefully from a medieval monastery it offers exceptional accommodation and facilities that cannot be faulted. The staff were amazing and went out of their way to make guests welcome. They were all extremely pleasant and highly efficient. Although we elected a superior room we were treated to a wonderful suite - Ki understand in keeping with all such rooms. The restaurant offered exceptional cuisine. The Parador is within the medieval city and offers interest walks. Well worth a detour - we will certainly do so again!

|0.24km from city centerWe chose this hotel for its location and the private parking. We reserved 2 nights, but only stayed one. We arrived in the afternoon and noticed that the room was full of dust. The door handles were rusted. The small fridge was still dirty inside. This shows that they are not even cleaning it. The sheets were very thin and worn out. Both sheets and comforter were so worn out that they had a light gray color. The bathroom was in need of a good deep cleaning. A lot of dust and scratched areas. We cleaned some areas and all handles with some hand sanitizing wipes that we had brought and removed as much of the dust as possible. At that time, it was too late to find another hotel in the area, so we decided to enjoy Caceres and leave the next day. We checked on hotel.com and were able to add a night to the next hotel on our trip. We did not even unpack. We enjoyed Caceres the entire day and stayed out until late at night. The next day we left early to enjoy more of Caceres. At 2:00pm, after we had lunch, we returned to the hotel to check out. We didn’t want to waste our time giving details to the front desk person, we just wanted to leave. There was nothing this hotel was going to do to keep us there another night. It was not just the dirty room, the overall feel of the hotel just wasn’t right for us. This hotel has a lot of people coming in and out, which explains the wear and tear of the place, but not the dirty conditions. She was very apologetic that we wanted to leave, even though we didn’t complain we just said we wanted to leave, and said that she was going to call hotels.com to see if they could refund that night, but she didn’t think they would and explained something about how they pay them, etc. We told her we did not want a refund. We used the hotel to keep our luggage (we even put the do not disturb sign) and used the parking so we could stay late to enjoy more of Caceres, but now we wanted to leave. She then checked us out, we paid parking and left. When you check in, the front desk puts the room keys inside a box that seemed to be sanitizing the plastic card with ultra violet rays, yet he touched our passports and handed them back to us. They key process is more for a show. They need to pay more attention to what their cleaning staff is not doing. Judging from the amount of people that were there, they might be doing a very quick turn around on those rooms. That is not good, especially during this pandemic. We noticed a previous comment from “Juan Torres, Director General at Gran Hotel Don Manuel” stating they refunded us the money for that night. I rewrote this review to address his comment. Sr Torres, that is not true. We checked our credit card today, in case we missed it, all we have is the parking charge from this hotel. Had there been a refund, it would have come from hotels.com because we booked through them and paid in full through them. It is shameful that a “Director General” would come on here to lie and attack a g

I found the hotel soulless - no restaurant service in the evening, and the cafe/bar was like a waiting room. Because the pool was not yet open (we went in May) there was nowhere green to sit outside in the shade, only on the small terrace overlooking the main road.

We came back on the strength of the hotel being so close to all the historic sights and because of the fabulous apple cake at the breakfast buffet. Both were still as good! We had a room facing the street on the 2nd floor and, thanks to two sets of double glazed windows, it was nice and quiet. Modern and with everything we needed: a safe, fridge, nice toiletries, comfy beds. All the staff were so friendly, especially the young man on reception from Zafra. Highly recommended. Esta vez he hecho una prueba alojándome en este hotel porque viajo sola y porque había leído un comentario diciendo que está reformado. Resultado: estoy encantada por la ubicación, por supuesto por la limpieza que es lo que más me importa siempre, el desayuno es muy completo y muy rico. Con que la cama sea cómoda ya es suficiente pero me he quedado sorprendida por los muebles! la puerta, la mesa, la silla, todo de madera maciza! Esto me dice mucho la calidad de este hotel. A todo eso, el precio.. más que razonable pero quisiera destacar la amabilidad del personal de la recepción sobre todo la profesionalidad: aportando información actualizada para acceder al hotel en una ciudad monumental que no se puede circular en coche y está en obra actualmente. Tengo que volver a Cáceres dentro de un par de semanas por trabajo. Ya he cancelado mi reserva en otro sitio para repetir pero esta vez el hotel de ellos- OLIVAE Hostal Boutique, está al lado y así podré conocer a otro hotel de diferente estilo y seguro que es igual con mucha calidad porque después de esta primera experiencia, creo que voy a vivir otra experiencia muy agradable sin gastarme tanto!

The parador is a very welcoming place, huge and in itself worth the visit, located within an ancient convent. Small but enjoyable swimming pool next to the city walls. Comfortable room with good beds. Easy walk into the quaint town of Plasencia with a cosy terrace at the Iglesia de San Nicolas. Breakfast is taken in the old refectorium, nice.

|1.56km from city centerWe have been the Finn week visiting Caceres, it is out there and if you have no car the center walk to the hotel is d half an hour and a quite alone path, that only cars pass, that should be warned and the rest, The hotel was a great stay, the receptionist very kindly served us and even recommended places to ask for food to take it to the room, as we were very tired was a good thing, the rooms were very well-conditioned, They lack a face wash in painting and some other detail and the lighting of the corridors takes the sensors to detect the movement and prevents the lift from being accessed quickly in the night, for the rest of the very correct buffet breakfast and for €5 is more than acceptable, we would go back and even recommend it for those who want to escape a little chaos by the Womad
