Very Good15 Reviews
0.18km from PARTYSPACE COSMOSWe visited Osaka last during our trip to Japan, so we'd stayed in quite a few hotels up until this point. We knew that the city hotels could be a bit pokey, but we thought looking at photos and reviews (and the name 'Luxe') that this would provide a nice, comfy place to stay for our final days in Japan. Unfortunately I was really disappointed with this hotel. The room was dark and depressing - very small, fairly clean. Not at all what we'd expected. We were tired after travelling for two weeks so it was also a shame to note that the beds were small and uncomfortable. On the first night we returned from a long afternoon out at about 10pm, ready to sleep. The landing smelt faintly of food - when we opened the door to our room we realised the smell was coming from in there. Without exaggerating - it was like someone was BBQing meat in our hotel room. I'm vegan and very sensitive to smell anyway - but even for a meat eater it was very unpleasant - an incredibly strong burnt, acrid meat smell. I went downstairs and the lady at reception knew straight away what the problem was - this made it even more unacceptable to me that the hotel knows there is an issue, but obviously doesn't bother to do anything about it. She told me that the lower rooms aren't affected by the smell, but we couldn't move because the hotel was fully booked that night and we'd have to move the next day (we were going out for the day so it wasn't possible to repack, leave our bags, return and unpack). That isn't their fault - but we weren't offered a discount or any kind of compensation other than an apology. I've been fortunate enough to stay in 'Luxe' hotels before - this is definitely not anything near luxury. I hate leaving bad reviews but I'm afraid I wouldn't stay here again or recommend to others.
