2.41km from Pasing Bf. NordI stayed here at Amalienburg for three nights in August, 2018. The staff was very welcoming and helpful. The rooms are nicely arranged in some separate buildings. I had an upstairs room, and I thought it was very attractive and nicely appointed. The bed was comfortable, and there was plenty of hot water and water pressure for my showers. The WiFi worked well. I was very comfortable in my guest room. This a is small hotel. From here it is about a one kilometer distance to the nearest S-train station (Obermenzing). That is your best way into the city of Munich, if you do not have your own car. Taxis do not normally come by this hotel, as it is not in a tourist or business area, but rather a residential area somewhat outside the core city. But the hotel is happy to call taxis for you. I wouldn't call this a suburban area, but as indicated above, it is outside the core or central city area. There are only two restaurants within reasonable walking distance, near the aforementioned S-train station. One is a Bavarian style restaurant with good food but spotty service; the other is a Greek place that was closed on holiday when I was here in August. There are two grocery stores nearby and a gas station that sells cold drinks and snacks. I enjoyed the breakfast buffet at the hotel, but it is fairly limited in variety. Certainly not a big buffet; however, I had plenty to eat. Staff here did a lot to assist me, such as provide me with ideas of places to see in the city and the best ways to get to them. They did not have laundry service but still made arrangements for my laundry to be done. I sensed a lot of hospitality from these folks. If you stay here, just ensure that the location will work for you and what it is you are in Munich to do. The hotel itself is a comfortable place to rest and refresh, and you might save some euros by staying outside of central Munich.
