Stayed for 3 nights, excellent location for the old town, 10 minutes easy walking, plenty of restaurants that were able to seat our party of 12, average cost about €25. Book parking, about 20 spaces underground. Breakfast was continental, fruit eggs, cereals and pastries. Small bar for a night cap. Only down side, possibly, is lack of drawers and hanging space. That said, would definitely return, as we intend to do.

This hotel feels like the upper end of the three star category. Very clean, lovely linens, rooms with a bit more space than usual, everything crisp and fresh. After a few bad hotels on this trip, ending at this one was a delight. The staff were polite, intelligent, and very helpful. The hotel is located close to the charming city centre and to the train station, (though the actual street is a bit drab). Over the road is an excellent cafe-theatre. All in all, an excellent hotel. Highly recommended.

My parents and I rented this apartment with two dbl beds, right beside the Best Western hotel. It came with a kitchenette, kitchen table and small patio. It was a terrific location within 15 min walking distance to old historic town, and ramparts! Difficult to find, you’ll spot the Kynkaid hotel first, so go around the opposite side and then Best Western will assist you to the Apartment. Parking is free on the roads all night. I booked their underground parking which is secure at $9.50 euros to be on the safe side. Highly recommend this apartment which was same price as most hotels in the area, and a bonus that it came with extra space for the three of us. Rather than small hotel room and pull out couch.

A very enjoyable stay. The hotel was clean, our room was clean and comfortable. All the staff were helpful, friendly and kind. We ate in the hotel restaurant on the first evening and the food was great, couldn’t fault it...as was the service, the staff couldn’t have been more attentive. We had our dog with us who was made to feel like the star of the show. We will stay again when next visiting this beautiful city.

This hotel is just a few minutes away from Gare de Vannes SNCF train station and a 15 minutes walk from the old town. That’s the best thing about this establishment. My room was so small with a tiny bathroom. There was no mini bar nor any kettle with tea/ coffee facilities in the room. No AC in the room so good luck to you in the summer time. My window so wide open because it was a bit warm here. The most important the Wi-Fi in the room was only available for a few hours first day, second day no hotel Wi-Fi available, so if you need to work, you have to find other place. The walls are so thin that you can hear everything from other rooms. There is no safe box and lack of any acknowledgment from the management in the room. You will find usually a welcome leaflet or booklet with all infos in any standard hotel/ apartment room. But not here. I felt like I am not very welcome here :-( And a room is not cheap. Please find better place to stay in this pretty town! Not recommended!

We spent one night, but would return for sure. Our flight was arriving late in Nantes, and we arrived at the hotel at midnight, well after there is no one anymore at the reception. We have been given the codes to get the car inside the hotel, and to open the main door of the hotel. We had been told that there would be a basket with our name, an envelope and the key. But there was nothing, and nobody around. There was a lone key hanging, and we tried our luck hoping that it was not occupied. It was not, and we decided it would be our room. We were quiet upset and really unhappy, as it was late, and we were not sure that it was our room. At 1 am, somebody from the hotel opened our room to check who was inside - quite a surprise ... In the morning, we explained the situation, and they were really feeling bad about it. They had forgotten to make the basket. Their apologies were genuine (they offered a discount and a farewell bag). So, since S... happens now and then, bad luck for us, I do not give a bad ranking. Because, apart from the glitch, the place is great. The rooms are really beautiful, each with its own "colonial" personal touch. The bathroom is also very nice. We had the Bourbon room, which is deluxe, overlooking the garden. The breakfast is also very good, mostly organic products, including typical Britanny ones, like crèpes. Staff is also very nice. In conclusion, a very nice and reliable place. If you plan to arrive late, be sure to ask them for the codes. Finally, there is a phone number written on a board at the reception to call outside operating hours. But we did not notice it, tired as we were. If your key is not here, look for the board :-)

This hotel rescued us from a bad booking decision at a much inferior hotel in Vannes. We had booked a hotel on the outskirts of Vannes, that we decided was unacceptable, and we then booked this hotel at a moment's notice. They even apologized that all they had available was room 100, closest to the lobby, but we were pleased anyway. While not a luxury hotel, this hotel had all the basics, a comfortable bed, and even a refrigerator and a spacious bathroom, which is not always a given at a hotel in this price range in Europe. The owners/managers of this hotel were quite friendly and helpful and helped us navigate getting the the monoliths and the port. We were quite happy with our stay here and would return if we ever come back to the Morbihan area!

The usual Ibis hotel, everything works, friendly staff but this hotel had one of the best restaurants we have experienced in an Ibis hotel. We stayed 2 nights and while the breakfast was much as usual, very varied lots to choose from it was the evening menu that was excellent and at a very modest cost. For just €14 a buffet entre which included many different meats, prawns, and vegetables and then wonderful dishes fish in sauce, guinea fowl leg in a mediteranean sauce with vegetables and chips were some of the highlights. Brilliant.

Although Campaniles are a bit more expensive than other stopover hotels on Commercial estates l feel it is well worth the extra. This was the best Campanile we have stayed in. Rooms have been revamped, with comfortable beds and good bedding. Tea and coffee making in the room. Bathroom has both shower and bath. The restaurant was again slightly better than other Campanile restaurants we have eaten in (and there have been a great many over the years! ). Two courses for under €17, including a main meal and either a buffet starter or dessert.. No complaints about the hotel, and feel it is well worth a few poinds extra.

Other members of our family were staying here so we booked here to be with them, knowing nothing about it in advance. At the front desk, Madame was one of the hardes-working people I have encountered. She was there early in the morning, through the day, and she served us in the restaurant for dinner one evening as well, until we were the last to leave. And all that time she kept a smile on her face. Also helping her at the dinner was another female staffmember who was charming and delightful. We were noisy because it was something of a reunion, and we stayed late, and they made us feel completely welcome the entire time. And the food was a lovely surprise. One doesn't always expect great food in chain hotels, but this dinner stacked up well against any we encountered in 4 weeks in France. We were here a couple of nights, and the party included a baby of less than 12 months. They were always accommodating of the baby too, Madame herself rushing to bring the highchair the first morning.

You know you have picked the best place to stay from the moment you arrive at reception. Staff who assist those who are not fluent in French. So helpful. Rooms are very clean and maintained to a high standard daily. Restaurant staff take the time to explain the French menu in English and attend to your needs. Food & wine selection is supeb French cuisine and not to be missed. Located near the Golfe tour boats and so close to the Vannes shoping district and castle with nice floral dosplay.

We had a perfect 2 nights stay in this hotel. We were warmly welcomed by the receptionist and be guided accordingly about the possibilities, parking, map, to be seen in the town, etc. The hotel is in a 20-25 minutes walk from the old town along the harbour. However, along the road you may find non time restricted parking place, if you are lucky. The twin room was large enough to lay down a yoga mat. The beds and beddings were perfect for us. The room quiet and clean, with water cattle, small fridge. The bathroom, shower were also convenient. I checked the “fitness room” and even if it is rather simple you may excercise with the equipment if you wish. I didn’t find it problematic. The breakfast was pretty good, but of course in busy hours you may have to wait for table or at the coffee machine. BUT, and this is also for other hotels we wisited in Bretagne, WHY there are no vegetables for breakfast? Where is the famous French agriculture, where are the fresh green products from the young farmers? At least tomato, paprika or cucumber? Pleas note that in Germany even in Ibis budget we may get vegetables! But dont panic, you won’t be hungry, since there is a really good sortiments for breakfast. Just a proposal to be more green, more healthy. There is a reataurant attached to the hotel, and as we saw the price level is about the same as in the town. There is a boat office really close to the hotel, you may visit the islands. We tried the small beach at Conleau, which is about 2 km from the hotel through a nice walking path. Shower and toilet are available. In brief, we were satisfied and the hotel is good for coming back for longer stay, too. Just reflecting to some opinions, we had no problem with the noice from the Casino. When we closed the window, it was ok for us, even if we are sensitive in this field.

The environment is first-rate, but the room facilities, especially the towels and towels, are really not up to five-star standards! Especially unbearable is the poor sound insulation of the room! The music bar downstairs runs until 12 o'clock. The room noise and quake on the 5th floor are too serious to sleep at all! Tourist Information, Grand Theatre, tram station is also very close, walk about 5 minutes to . Be aware that Bordeaux has a pedestrian zone and the car cannot go directly to the hotel entrance. Hotel facilities have a Nespresso coffee machine, shampoo and conditioner, unlike other hotels only all-in-one. Note that the bathtub is a bit high. Breakfast costs $15 euro. Consider buying city day pass, 24 hours $29 euro. Pack the wine museum (tickets $20 euro) and some entrance tickets and public transportation (tickets $4.7 euro). From the welcome on arrival to the checkout we had a thoroughly positive experience here. The hotel is situated beside the Gare St Jean, an ideal position for travelling around the city. There is a tram stop just behind the hotel or you can walk through the station where you can find trains, buses and trams as well as taxis. The trams are an excellent way to get around the city. We took the advice of the lady in the tourist office inside the station and bought the Bordeaux City Pass. This gave us unlimited travel on the buses, trams and water taxis as well as entry into all sorts of attractions; well worth consideration, look it up! A great trip made all the more enjoyable because we had such a comfortable and friendly base.

Every time my partner and I come to Bordeaux, we choose to stay at the Ibis Budget here around Meriadeck. Simply because it is cheap, clean and in a fantastic location for anything you want in Bordeaux. Admittedly, the rooms are small (and you'd be surprised how small!) but you have all the amenities and space you need. Most importantly, the room is clean and tidy. The hotel does offer a luggage storage if needed also. It says they charge 2€ for this, but if you look on the back of your door in your room, it says "Free". Use this to your advantage! Location wise this is excellent. Meriadeck shopping centre (with a huge Auchan within) behind, St Andre Cathedral, Rue Sainte-Catherine, Hotel de Ville... everything you need (even the train station!) is within walking distance. And it'd be rude not to walk in such a fantastic city. All in all, next time we're in Bordeaux, this will be top of the list of hotels to stay in once more.
