Après avoir vécu une péripétie avec un autre hôtel ce jeudi 7 juillet à 23h30 nous avons appelé celui ci savoir s’il leur restait de la place. Nous avons eu un Monsieur très gentil au téléphone qui nous a indiqué qu’effectivement il restait des chambres de libre. 10 minutes plus tard nous étions sur place. Très bon accueil, remise de la carte de chambre avec explications très rapide ! La chambre était calme et bien isolée ! Il y faisait bon ! Pas de soucis particulier à souligner si ce n’est qu’un sèche cheveux dans la salle de bain serait le bienvenue mais ceci n’est qu’un détail ! Merci à vous et nous réitérerons notre séjour lorsque nous aurons besoin ! Bon courage à toute l’équipe

We stayed one night at this fun hostel located in a convenient area of Tours. It’s an easy walk to the center of town. However we were glad that the hostel has a bar which also offered a a few snack ps. When we arrived (very hungry from a long day of travel), we were able to relax with a drink and a cheese/meat platter. They also provide luggage storage if you arrive before check in time. There is also a restaurant, which we didn’t try because it opened later. We reserved a private room with bath that was small, but comfortable and quiet. We had a great night’s sleep and would recommend the hostel for a short stay. All of the staff were friendly and helpful.

It is very bad for my colleague to book. The bad reason is that I can't swipe my credit card. It is not only a secured credit card, but also my colleague's two credit cards are not successful in the hotel front desk. In the end, I can only find Chinese restaurants to change euros. Cash, very disgusting is that the hotel also questioned the authenticity of the coins. They did not admit that there was a problem with their POS machines. They were not only having problems with the POS machine, but even the deduction system had problems. Ctrip also helped me to pay the hotel. Also failed. So the next time you travel, you will never stay in this hotel again.

Very good location being a 15 minute walk into the historic centre of Tours. Underground Parking (10€) was very useful but be careful trying to get a jeep in. Good Breakfast Reception staff friendly and spoke good English Realistic price for December. Some parts of the hotel cold do with a refurb or tidy up but i would go back for the location and parking.

Excellent welcome from the receptionist who really has the sense of service and who is effective in his visiting advice. The hotel is very comfortable and comfortable, but it is very good for the hotel to stay in the city. As a nostalgic kid who has gone back to studying in Tours for ten years, it must be said that this apartment has all the conveniences. It only takes 3 minutes to catch the train and it is very convenient to go to the castle and the city center. There is a mini kitchen in the apartment-style, where you can make your own tea, buy alcohol and make some convenient fast food. I booked the cheapest room type because I was traveling alone, but the room for me was facing the church bell tower, and the bed was super large and comfortable. It may not be as big as a big hotel room, but a typical French residence is like this. The sanitation is very good, but the catch is that there is no daily room cleaning.

Arrived by train from Paris and walked to hotel. Room was on their second floor (quite large) at back of hotel, so very little noise from surroundings. Everything was well done without being over fussy. Breakfast was traditionally French with huge croissant, baguette, jam, cheese, yogourt etc….all delivered with a friendly manner. On departure, the owner booked us a local taxi that came to the door (we weren’t sure if taxis could travel down the narrow street, but access is fine) to whisk us to St Pierre de Corps..the out of town railway station. I am lucky that my company is moving away from the Tours Nord area. It means that I do not have to stay in this Mercure anymore. Let me be clear: the staff members are very nice and that is the reason I still give 3 points. However, this is the only Mercure where I would never get an upgrad as a platinum or now gold member. They are always full. Sometimes I find it hard to believe given the size - and the fact that in CDG I have the upgrade every time. The standard rooms are of good standard mercure quality but in regards to amenities it is really below any kind of standard: you have a shower gel from a large bottle (that was unfortunately empty) and the same for the soap. There is nothing else. You get coffee powder and a couple of tea bags as well as a half liter of water. Maybe I am spoiled after our holidays in Asia but I am seriously considering to quit the Accor Live Limitless program and try my luck somewhere else. For two nights for business it is ok and again, lovely staff. Just not a place that makes you feel welcome. I am looking forward to seeing the folks at the Mercure Tours Sud again (should I remain with ALL...).

Best night’s sleep in a hotel ever! Comfortable beds and pillows, proper curtains and almost silent air con. Brilliant shower with Rituals products, separate toilet (always a winner!). Connecting rooms worked well for our family and the dog was made really welcome with bowls ready for her food and water. Can’t wait to come back again.

First of all we couldn’t get into our room, there was a problem with the room card, we ended up having to use a key. Not a huge problem. The design of the rooms in terms of privacy and consideration for anyone else sharing with you is pretty poor. The toilet door does not “seal” so to speak, so all noises are amplified… the toilet light is on a sensor so there is no option to have this on or not, which in the middle of the night, with the gaps around the door, means the room is lit up… Breakfast is incredibly basic too, but then for €7.50 I guess you get what you pay for. In terms of positives, the staff are excellent, very friendly and helpful. The hotel was bright and clean, with the outdoor, reception and dining areas funky and modern. One really good thing was the burger van outside, this was a great idea, as there is nothing really in the vicinity. Ample parking and the security aspect of the gate being locked after 10pm is a good idea. Overall, cheap and cheerful but in my opinion best for lone travellers

We stayed here before and liked it ,so we came back for a weekend . The standards have not slipped and we found a nice clean room with a small kitchenette.We took breakfast which was good with plenty of choice. Time time we take not take the parking option but parked on the street near the supermarket. The downside to this is a 5 minute walk to enter. We like it because you can walk into the old quarter in 20 mins. 177€ for Two people for 2 nights B&B

This hotel is very eclectic mix of mid-century modern and 18th & 19th Century furnishing. The rooms are unusual in their decoration but very comfortable with adequate AC, hot water and comfortable beds. The only item of concern is the staircase which is typical of 18th century - wooden, winding stairs. There is no elevator, the owners helped carry the luggage. If you had a heavy check-on, it was a struggle going up but not so bad coming down. We were on the 1st floor (2nd floor US) and our friends were on the 2nd floor (3rd floor US). They stated the staircase seemed narrower and more tilting than 1st floor. Note one owner speaks English and other does not.

We have certainly noticed a lowering in the hotel standards. Subtle for steady decrease which undermine the quality and put in doubt the category of the hotel. A few of them could be enumerated: No more small bottle of body lotion of similar in the bathroom. We flagged this at reception and the lady mentioned this was never the case at this hotel, noted down our room number and never came back to us. The menu at the Room Service has been reduced and for instance, ommeletes are not available any longer. The kitchen lacks utensiles and this makes the room with kitchen experience a bit dull as you are not going to be cooking much with wooden cutlery, having to order pans at reception or needing plates that are not available on spot. I would propose either to remove them or fit them for purpose.

The hotel is less than 5 minutes from the Tour Train Station. When I made a reservation, I thought it was a hotel similar to IBIS. After entering the room, I found a surprise. The room was warmly decorated. Although the decorations were not high-end, they were carefully designed to make people feel comfortable. Nice hotel, a short walk to a lot of things. On site parking (we were not driving), comfortable air conditioned room room with large shower bath. Good selection at breakfast; dinner dining a short walk away. A ten minute walk to the tourist office (many of the Loire Valley tours leave from here), train station, and main shopping street. We would stay here again.

Located on the outskirts of Tours, it is suitable for self-driving tour, because the room rate is cheap, there is a large parking lot in front of the door, free parking.
