We had booked this accommodation some time ago to visit with friends. It has a lovely "old-world" charm about the property and the rooms fit this ambience. Loved the underfloor heating in the bathroom. Our visit was for 3 nights and we dined in the restaurant each night. The food was delicious. A port or liquer muscat was freely available after dinner to drink whilst sitting in the big lounge area. Breakfasts were taken in a small sunny room overlooking the garden. A few small negatives were lack of coathangers in our wardrobe, some of the drawers in the furniture did not open and a slow service attention on one night at dinner. Wine tasting of their vintages is available at the stable. The corona virus pandemic further restrictions came in whilst we were staying here and the staff were very careful in how this was managed. We felt safe at all times. Overall, the visit was worthwhile and very relaxing and we would be happy to stay here again in the future.

I highly recommend staying at this motel. After a few recent trips across to Armidale whilst relocating we decided to give this country motel a go as we often stay at their Country 2 Coast motel in Coffs Harbour and have always been impressed so decided to give their country motel a go and wow! Immaculately clean, spacious rooms and brilliant customer service every time. Rio always greets us with such warmth and makes sure our stay is comfortable. Dining in the restaurant each visit, we could be in any top notch 5 star dining venue in the world! Food is absolutely to die for. Unbelievable passion placed on the plate. As vegans, it isn’t easy finding a chef that is willing to create vegan meals (especially in a country town) for us that is not even on the menu. The food is seriously exceptional and Micah the chef certainly went above and beyond and far exceeded our expectations creating such beautiful meals. We wouldn’t stay anywhere else in Coffs or in Armidale and now I am a local I will be making this my regular dining venue. Thanks to all for making our stays so special.

First and foremost, Alluna Motel is pet friendly. Much appreciated for our old dog as he doesn't like to be apart from us. Location is a short and cheap taxi fare to everywhere. Our room was clean, comfortable, had a good air conditioner and was well located within the site. The parking spaces along one side were quite large, always a bonus. We also liked that the room had a separate small bin for recyclable products. Staff were helpful and friendly, without being overly friendly. Breakfast was well cooked and prompt. All of the above, at an affordable rate, is a rare combination. We really enjoyed our stay.

I stayed here while in Armidale for a workshop at the university. The location is good. The main shopping strip is couple of blocks away, and its close to pubs, and places to eat so you can park your car at the end of the day and walk. It's about a ten to fifteen minute drive to the university, or you can arrange for a pick up by campus security from out the front. The place is also quiet for its location. I stayed in a room near the main entrance and the traffic noise would only be a problem if you are a really light sleeper. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was clean. The WiFi is also really good here which is helpful for a uni visit. Good, down to earth operators as well. I would stay here again.

We stopped off here on our way back to the Sunshine Coast and would certainly do so again. The motel is located an easy walk to several restaurants and takeaway places and the host could not have been more welcoming. Our room was clean, very spacious and really warm on a chilly Armidale night. The bed was comfortable and we enjoyed the simple room service breakfast before heading off in the morning. Perfect!

Stayed here on a Saturday night. Easy walking distance to the mall and main town area. Unfortunately we arrived early afternoon and the country town was nearly all closed. I thought being a larger country town it might have had more to offer in the way of stores open etc. Ground floor room was fairly large with Queen bed and single bed in the room. A/C with table and 3 chairs tea/coffee toaster and fresh milk provided. Bathroom was a good size with soap dispenser in bathroom and Bath gel and Shampoo dispenser in shower which was large with a screen door.. Lady at reception was cheerful and looked after you well. Only downside if any was as they have upstairs and downstairs units although the room parking is marked the width of the parking spots are rather small with the number of 4 wheel drive vehicles staying at the motel. Lovely restaurant (Warawee Cottage) directly across the road with great meals. Reviewed on anther post..

Travelling from Sydney to Brisbane we stayed overnight here and just wished we had more than one night as it was so very lovely. We stayed in a king size suite which was exactly that with newly furnished mini kitchen, living area and separate bedroom. The furnishings were tasteful, the bathroom roomy and modern and the bed amazing. There was complimentary tea, coffee and biscuits. The owner was welcoming and very helpful with dining options. It is in easy walking distance of a variety of eating / shopping options. The cost of the suite was very reasonable. There are other older options available but you really can’t beat this for value. We have already planned a return visit here with this as our base for exploring the Armidale area.

Returning from school holidays in Queensland we decided to travel the New England Highway home so had a look online. As we are a family of 2 adults and 3 kids under 11 we needed a family room. We found that the City Centre Motor Inn offered a family room that included an free continental breakfast for around $150 so we booked. I received a warm welcome at reception and given instructions for the wi-fi. On reading the supplied paperwork it was interesting to find that the motel is carbon neutral. The room was on the ground floor with parking at the door. While photos on their webpage showed rooms that looked like they had been renovated ours was old but clean and tidy. The 3 single beds were in a connected room which had a TV that only worked on rabbit ears so the kids complained about the TV loosing picture. The main room had a large flat screen TV on the wall and a couple of tub chairs. The bed was comfortable and no road noise provided a good nights sleep. Breakfast was served in the restaurant behind reception between 7-9am so we headed up about 8. We were offered a coffee on entry and we were pleasantly surprised to find a good selection of cereals, juice, yoghurt, fruit pots, bread, pancakes, assortment of jams & spreads and tea & coffee. All well presented and a pleasant atmosphere as the room has painted murals on the wall. At around $150 a night mid week including breakfast we were happy with the accommodation, would definitely stay there again and would recommend for families visiting Armidale.

At the end of July my best friend, her daughter and boyfriend stayed at Lindsay House for two nights in three of the rooms. Centrally located in the heart of Armidale we could walk to restaurants and cafes for breakfast and dinner. Our host Pam, the owner greeted us on arrival and showed us to our designated rooms which were up the gorgeous staircase on the first floor. Stunningly appointed is each room in the style and era of the house. Each room has an ensuite with plenty of towels and accessories to use during your stay. The tea room on the first floor is bathed in sunlight for most of the day and provides tea and coffee, water, glasses, cups and milk in the fridge. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and we will certainly be back and we would recommend Lindsay House as a amazing accommodation in Armidale, thank you to our lovely host, Pam

Stayed here on Christmas night with 2 dogs. Having travelled in the morning we went straight to our Christmas lunch and didn't get to the motel til night time, I received ample notice and communication how to access the room after hours. Nothing was too much trouble from the first point of contact when I called to make the booking to the time we checked out, it was seamless and very friendly. The room was very clean and welcoming, the beds were comfortable, breakfast was very nice and there was ample room for our dogs to stretch their legs before settling them for the night. The motel itself was quiet, maybe because it was Christmas night and there was less traffic on the road not sure but it was peaceful. I totally recommend this place whether you have pets or not, it exceeded value for money.

Due to Covid 19 restrictions we decided to have a regional holiday in NSW and chose Armidale for a 4 night stay. On advice from friends who said “make sure wherever you stay has great heating” - we chose Moore Park Apartments. We were not disappointed with the floor heating - we were snug. The apartment was bright, spacious, modern, very clean, well appointed, comfy beds and warm - no one in my family complained with my choice! There was so much to do in Armidale for our family of 4 ( two teenagers) - mountain biking at The Armidale Pine Forest ( Piney’s to the locals), a friendly golf course, bike paths everywhere, local walks gorges and waterfalls , great coffee and cafes and awesome pubs - we could have easily spent a week! Pack your beanie and gloves and discover it for yourself- you won’t be disappointed!

A friend and I recently visited Armidale for the night and stayed at the Elite Motor Inn. The room was well appointed and was very clean. Being winter, the heater worked very well although the plentiful blankets were enough that we did not need it on overnight. The manager was very friendly and helpful and made us feel very welcome. The motel is a stones throw from town - a really great location. We could easily walk to get dinner. Armidale is a great place to visit year round and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this motel as a great place to stay while enjoying all there is to do.

Superior location. The hotel has good facilities. In front of the gate is the river. It's safe, too. I do a lot of running in the morning. Next to it is a new shopping mall. Later, I found that there are many noodles to eat. You can also see the scenery outside. Very good.

We were both tired after a long drive from Redland Bay, Queensland. The route we were on was chosen because we wanted to see the New England Way. The hotel was even better than it looked online. We checked in and went to our room, which was very nice indeed. We'd reserved a table at the restaurant, so after a snooze and a shower we went for dinner. The staff are very attentive and helpful. Appetite shrinks with age and we did not try the puddings. The starters and mains were excellent. The wine list is pretty good, too. The bed was comfortable and we had a couple of hot showers; what more can one want? We checked out on Sunday morning with no problem. We met the proprietors and their young and friendly Airedale terrier.

I booked this hotel but not through booking.com so that the hotel does not pay commission as it is a small family run enterprise. The hotel is an easy walkable 3 blocks from the main mall. The room was very clean and well equipped (tea/coffee/milk in the fridge), map of Armidale and parking outside the unit. The internet was quick and reliable. I would recommend this property and stay here the next time I visit Armidale. I'm sure COVID practices were in place, I felt completely safe - you have a sense for these things in Australia as we are very vigilant about COVID safety.

We stayed at this motel based on a previous visit a few years ago. Things have gone downhill, the motel could do with a lick of paint and a refurbishment. Staff although friendly enough seemed more interested in watching the TV than dealing with customers. A steel scraper at the bottom of the door was loose, on asking if it could be fixed (it squealed as it dragged across the floor). We were told to "pull it off"; we did! Since our last stay two extra beds had been installed in the room making it a bit cramped. The bathroom certainly needs re-tiling and refitting. Barely adequate

The gardens and pool area are fabulous. The view over the Kokoda Valley and overlooking the Gold Coast night lights from the dual swinging bench seat gave such a magical atmosphere. The little ponies and bird life were lovely to see and hear. We could listen to the gentle breeze blowing the leaves in the trees near our room. Good time of the year to go regarding weather and temperatures. A 15 minute drive to Mt Tamborine village shops. Enjoyed the Cuckoo Clock shop! Kirsten was a fantastic host/owner and very friendly. We were welcomed with eggs, bacon, bread, UHT milk, teas, coffee, sugar and margarine. Small bar fridge, large electric frying pan, kettle and microwave provided. The hotel is located on the most prosperous commercial street in Brisbane. Downstairs is the pedestrian street. There are various brand-name shops and supermarkets opposite, making shopping and dining very convenient. However, the hotel rooms are decorated in an old fashioned style and look outdated. Sanitation is ok, there is no free parking, and it is quite expensive for $58 for 24 hours.

Great hotel. Parking is just ok being that it’s in the Myer centre which cost $38 instead of $56 for non-hotel guests. I got the QR code for my discounted rate but it didn’t scan saying “offer not valid yet” so had to pay $56 anyway and I couldn’t be bothered to find a parking spot again and pay again to argue the point. Other than that I’d be really happy to stay there again soon.

Excellent for short time stay, worth every penny and near the city (very safe, short 3-min walk to CBD). Also i found out, they have a hotel NB website, google it... and offer almost 10% on their bookings if you book from there. Perhaps, i have saved you a few dollars. For QUT, Griffith university new students in Queensland, its very near. Walkable distance to both these university campuses at gardens point.

Meriton's quality has always been good, spacious and comfortable at home. Playing along the east coast of Australia, I like the atmosphere of Brisbane most. Meriton also adds a lot of points for this: 1. The geographical location is particularly good. It is very convenient to walk to the subway station for 3-4 minutes. It is directly to the airport without taxi. 2. May be very lucky. The handsome guys at the front desk are very friendly and beautiful. 3. Easy to cook. It is about 10 minutes away from the pedestrian street, where there are two large supermarkets. If it is too far, turn right downstairs and less than 200 meters. There is an all-in-one supermarket. If they are closed, you can go to the nearest 711. 4. If you are lucky, you can see the beautiful sunset in the room. The room we arranged is a bit biased, but it is also visible. 5. Our room was quiet and noisy. Generally speaking, there are no major shortcomings. In Australia, the common problem is that the quilt is covered with heat and not covered with cold. It seems that the air conditioning of most hotels can only reach a maximum of 26 degrees.
