The location of the B and B was great! It's 2 minutes from Uffizi Gallery and Ponte Vecchio, 4 min. from the Dome. We were in constant contact with the staff regarding our arrival time so Luciano was at the door to meet us to bring up our luggage. There is no elevator and the B and B is on the 2nd floor. The building is old (as are all the buildings in the heart of Florence) but the interior is completely modern. The rooms had comfortable beds, good lighting, safe, fridge, desk and large windows. The bathrooms were modern and cleaned everyday. Our breakfast was plentiful and we had many cups of the tasty Lavazza coffee. On the days we had an early start, Guido accommodated us with an early breakfast. Looking for some local input, we tried 3 restaurants that they had recommended, They were all tasty, good value and close by. There is no staff 24/7 (which we knew before hand). The operators were there for most of the day but not usually past 2 pm. We were given a code to enter the building and B and B so entering was not a problem. I think there are only 5 rooms, so it was very quite and cosy On the last day, Guido helped us with the luggage. We were impressed with the location, the furnishings of the rooms and most of all with the welcoming staff who didn't hesitate to help and accommodate us.

The location is fantastic! Right in the middle of everything that is wonderful about Florence. Staying for five days in a ninth-century tower was magical. The hosts (owner Pamela and manager Simona) made us feel right at home, like we were friends visiting from afar. The common room with large table and kitchen was a great place to unwind after a long day. We were surprised the breakfast included in our rate was pre-packaged cereal, cookies, croissants and boxed juice and milk left in our room on a trolley, but this was fine, as we preferred to get fresh cappuccino and croissants at the local cafe and took the breakfast as snacks for our travels throughout the day. This place is a true gem.

The hotel is super well situated- in the middle of everything, just few steps from Uffizi and the main bridge. Rooms are clean, with all the beauty amenities (except hair conditioner), slippers included. They change towels and clean every day. Despite the central situation we had a very good sleep, with a closed windows you won’t hear any noise. BUT, be aware that the room doesn’t have the air conditioner so In the summer it might be hot, and will be difficult to sleep with an open window. Very friendly staff. The room has a coffee machine and tasty hand made cookies at your disposal.

A very secret hostel that doesn't give their location in advance. You obliged to phone them and they will send you sms with the shop name near the needed door. Oh no, you can't get it by email in advance or by phone! Only sms! Though they suggest the late check-in (up to 23.30), they are definitely not happy to check you in. When I phoned saying we're at the front door, the host refused to give us further information and said he'll send sms. After waiting 5-7 min, I phoned once again (yes, expensive international call and 5 euros flew away from my bill), asking to tell me the content of sms by words. He refused! After waiting some extra 7-10 minutes (5 people on the street, night is coming and no info, no sms, no signs where the hostel is, no signboards or inscriptions) I phoned once again. When I began telling the host that I'm running out of money on phone account and no sms arrives, he shouted 'Be nice or you will sleep on a street! You all will sleep on the street!' The right way for to refer to people who already payed 200+ euros for visiting your brilliant hostel, no doubts! It appeared that all he should tell was we must go several houses down the street and use the code on teh front door. But he shouted at me, threatening we will sleep on a street and then sent one of his relatives who luckily was living in the ame hostel at this moment to pick us up. There was noone from administrtion inside the hostel to check us in, although we told our arrival time in advance. To make thing even 'better', no excuses from host in the morning. Only one set of keys for 5 person. The lift doesn't ork without the key, so if you don't have it - go 5 floors on foot. Only 3 power sockets in 5-person room. 2 bathrooms on the floor, and far too many people to occupy them, so it's one long queue you see in the morning. Hostel doesn't have any kitchen, only one tiny electric kettle for all rooms. Our stay and impressions of Florence were awfully spoiled.

We stayed in a 2 room suite and were lucky enough to need the aircon which worked well. We enjoyed being central and the buzz of the piazza during the day. There was one group of English speaking noisy tourists one night outside making a noise - the side windows are double-glazed but the front aren’t allowed to be...but the views more than made up for the embarrassment of fellow English speakers! Rooms v comfortable and nicely decorated. Breakfast good. Eva who staffed reception and cleaned deserves a special mention.

Very friendly and accommodating staff. Location is great, especially for first-timers to Florence (might be a little too touristy if you want to experience the everyday "real" Florence). Despite the busy location, the room itself was very quiet and (bonus) smelled like fresh herbs from restaurants below. This was also my first time getting laundry service from a place I stayed--quality and timeliness were very good. More of a "be prepared" than "this was truly bad": the hallways carry sound. We heard more noise from doors closing and other guests talking (in the hallway) than anything else. Sound insulation between rooms was good, though, and we never heard anything from outside. Also, one of the two bed frames was worn out and squeaky, so we just scrunched over onto her side of the bed.

Stayed here recently and the rooms are truly beautiful! Such great design elements. They also provided us with a bottle of wine upon check-in which was a nice touch. Highly recommend staying at this oasis in the busy city. The only small note was we couldn't find the stairs to get out. I know that sounds weird but the reception is not staffed 24 hours and we had an extremely early flight and needed to run down quickly (vs use the elevator). Also was a tinge worrisome if there was a fire/emergency. And note save extra time if you are driving in to the historic city center and trying to park. It is not an easy task!! Even with all the correct directions and garage info provided by the hotel.

Once we found it (tucked into a corner of the Piazza) we were at home. As many have said the family of owners is wonderful - so kind and helpful. The room (Galileo) was lovely, beautifully appointed, and in our case although we only had a partial view/glimpse of the Piazza that suited us fine as it also cushioned noise. We loved the large tiles 'grotto' shower - no tub. And if you are looking at this hotel you will note that it is very vertical, we were glad to be only one flight up especially as my wife would have been claustrophobic in the tiny single person elevator. And we much enjoyed the big table group breakfast. We enjoyed the interesting company of fellow guests, the meal was splendid with custom eggs and omelette and whatever else you would enjoy in fruit, meat, cheese and pastries, and custom cappuccinos. Very helpful advice on anything we were interested in and a genuine sense of caring and interest in our well-being. Good English for us...who needed to communicate in that language. And the location - right in the episode-centre of the city. Bravo!

We had a lovely stay at Apartments La Borsa. The apartments (only 5 total), are located above the La Borsa Restaurant, who manages the hotel as well. We stayed in the Uffizi suite. There isnt a check-in desk or anything, the restaurant manager checked us in and brought us up to our room; it has an elevator which was nice. The room was HUGE with a separate bedroom and sitting area, and also a kitchenette with everything you could need- sink, utensils, microwave, extra glasses, refrigerator, etc. a Nespresso maker too. A welcome bottle of wine was a lovely touch that we appreciated! It is a bit noisy as the hotel is right off of the main road, but nothing earplugs couldn’t fix. The location is fantastic! About a 12 minute walk to the train station, with a plethora of shops and restaurants outside your doorstep. Our only issue was that we got locked out of the hotel entrance when returning one evening. We didn’t hear the manager mention a small key on the wall in our room to open the front door if you return late at night. So that was frustrating. Note- do not forget that little key if you go out at night! (You will be standing in the alley trying to find someone to let you in for a long time otherwise!) Other than that mishap, we had an excellent stay. You won’t find a larger hotel room than this in Europe! WiFi was speedy and the Air Conditioning was awesome (not a wimpy barely blowing air that takes an hour to cool like some places). Fast powerful and cool. Which after long hot days of being out and about was wonderful!! The restaurant also gives hotel guests a 25% discount. Highly recommend this property and would definitely stay again!

We visited Florence for 3 days from 20th to 22nd May 2019. We stayed in la Torre Dei Salterelli which is located in the Piazza Dei Salterelli. The location is extraordinary. The moment you step out of the room and walk a few steps and look to the right you will see Piazza Della Signoria with the replica of David standing along with several masterpieces in front of the Palazzo Vecchio. The rooms are very clean, comfortable and cozy. The internet which is free is very fast. But it is the location which a very important feature of the place. All the important places you would like to visit including The Duomo, Academia, The Uffizi Gallery, The Bargello and Medici Chapel are within 10 minutes walking distance. But most important is the hospitality of Pietro and Simona which makes this place special.

it is my third or fourth stay in this little B&B, centrally located at walking distance from both the railway station and the exhibition center, Fortezza da Basso. it is locatd very close the old San Lorenzo market. Large rooms, all renovated, nice and modern design, very comfortable bed, perfect cleaning. Room are equipped with a small fridge, air conditionign TV and a working Wi-Fi. The shower (no bathtub) may be dark in some rooms, but it is not a big problem, at least for me. Normal amenities in the bathroom. A basic but suffcient breakfast. Nice and friendly staff that can also help you in going around and/or booking trips and museums. Indeed very good value for money

This place is more like an "appartment" than a B&B. We stayed in room #4 which has two twin beds and is quite spacious. Upon arrival no one answered the door but when we called their number, someone came to help us within 5 minutes. My advice would be: make sure you have the phone number with you. I guess waiting, even if only for a few minutes, might not be nice when it's raining. We loved the wooden floor, the beautiful ceiling and decoration in the room (simple but in style with the old building) especially our chandelier :-). The bathroom is very modern but consists only of a toilet and shower. The wash basin is actually in the room itself, around a corner, which didn't bother us. There is a water cooker in the room but only tea, no (instant) coffee. So if you like to drink coffee, you have to bring your own. There are lots of TV channels but not a single English or other language one. The room is up a short flight of stairs and then a small elevator takes you further up. The location is just UNBELIEVABLE!!! A 5 minutes" walk from Palazzo Vecchio and 15 min to Ponte Vecchio. There is a taxi stand around the corner at Piazza della Repubblica. There are several good options for breakfast nearby. Would certainly recommend. Hard to beat the price and location!

Nice small boutique B&B. Check in was easy with everything explained and being personally shown around the hotel and to the room. The Superior room is exactly like the pictures, with a bathtub inside the room. Lots of space, large TV, and a bathroom with lots of mirrors! Lots of hot water, and the bath was great to use. Didn’t use it as a shower so can’t comment on the water pressure. Simple breakfast with pastries, cereal, spreads, yoghurt, juices, coffee, cold cuts etc served in the dining room. No staff onsite after 7pm, but there’s still little touches like mood lighting and music playing through the common areas.

I mean during the check in the entire time, the staff ignored me the entire time, I understand he knows I was with my friends, but I have my reservation separately, he should handle it by the order, and not just assigned me the smallest room just because I was a single person.I booked the exactly same type of room just like my friends, and their room is twice bigger than mine. And I can only eat breakfast in bed because there was no room to put it. That’s hilarious actually.

Location is good especially for those who likes walking, it will take you 15-20 minutes to reach the Duomo. Staff is very welcoming and friendly: they gave us a map and gave some recommendations about main sights and places to eat. Our room was very cozy, beautiful and clean. Also, the building itself gives you very special atmosphere. There were two bottles of water and some cookies for free in the room while check-in. Breakfast was very good (served in the cafe 5 minutes walking from the hotel): juice, coffee and baked goods (2 pieces to choose). This hotel is a very good choice for its price!

We spent 4 nights at this hotel last week. I always use trip advisor for recommendations and it’s always been on point and very helpful. This is the first time that I just don’t understand all these 5 star reviews. The hotel is on the 2nd floor of a residential building. When you walk into the building, there are stairs to get to the first floor. On the first floor there is a small elevator you can take to the hotel floor. Be prepared to carry your luggage up to the elevator. The room was big with high ceilings. The bathroom was a decent size as well. It seemed clean. The WiFi was a big problem as we couldn’t connect any devices due to their router having a problem. Luckily they had another room available and we were moved because that room had a stronger signal and because I needed the internet for work, I had to agree to pack our things and move. The second room was nicer. The design was better and it even had flowers which was a nice touch. They have a buffet breakfast with few choices and after the first few days, it wasn’t enjoyable because it was the same thing day after day. Bread, cereal, croissants, cheese, ham, Nutella, jam, fruits, juice. The dining area is nice. The biggest problem we had with the hotel was the smell. There was a smell as soon as you enter the hotel and it was even worse in the room and especially bathroom. In the bathroom was such a strong sewer smell. I was so disappointed. I’m not sure if the sewer issue is just in this hotel or others as well. The location was decent. It’s just a few minutes walk from the Santa Croce church and shops and restaurants. It’s about a 13 minute walk from the center where the Duomo is located. With all this being said, the hotel staff was very nice and helpful. They were willing to help with what’s needed.

There are three people in our family, and one double bed can be added to the double room. Hygiene can be good, the bathroom has ultraviolet lights, can be disinfected, air conditioning and cooling is good, sound insulation can also be. However, the hotel is rebuilt in a building with a small environment. The room next to the breakfast hall will be affected by the voice of the diners early in the morning; if you wake up early, it will be less affected. Relative to the price is low!

No elevator, no elevator, no elevator! The important thing is said three times! If you want to climb a narrow staircase to the upstairs with a huge suitcase, you must choose this hotel! The shower room is terrible. The shower has a red, yellow and blue light, and the entire bathroom is colored. Service is general, active awareness is not strong! Capri Moon is about a 10-15 min walk from the train station. Just follow google maps to get you to the location. It will be hard to find but it is worth it when you find the place. When you get to the building 17 look at the panel for Capri Moon and press the button. Walk into the double doors and wait until they buzz you in the right gate. Walk upstairs all the way to the top and the guesthouse is to your right. Now for the room itself, the beds are comfortable along with the pillows. The restroom is great as well. We, a family of 5, stayed here for 2 nights. PROS: great location. It is right on the edge of everything, so the streets are quiet but it is still close to the Duomo and Accademie. Clean. Everything was quite clean, the floors, bathrooms, beds. Super nice. The owner and his staff are all super I d and accommodating. Free breakfast. It is pretty “meh.” My picky American kids wouldn’t eat most of it. The fruit always seemed overripe and there was other weirdness about it. But they do try. Spacious. The rooms are large and the bathrooms not super tiny. My three gripes about it: It is very dated. The lobby area is probably clean but it looks like your great-aunt’s living room, cluttered with doilies, lace tablecloths and old appliances, so it looks a little grubby. Everything could use a fresh coat of paint. It looks like an older Airbnb vs a 3 star hotel. Our fridge didn’t work. We were there in the middle of a heat wave and would have liked for our water to be cold. The housekeeping turned off the air conditioning while we were gone. It wasn’t unbearably hot or anything but as I mentioned, we were in the middle of a heat wave and after walking all day in 102 degree weather (with a baby in a baby carrier!), it would have been nice to come back to a nice cold room. Overall, I’m not sure I’d stay here again. There are certainly a lot pro’s but the price for a more updated, nicer hotel isn’t that much more. If you’re trying to save a buck, it’s fine. If you’d like to feel happy about coming back to your hotel room after a hot walk about town, I’d probably choose elsewhere.

The hotel is an old palace-like house remodeled, each room is mural, very beautiful. The hotel has only 8 rooms and is a very quiet boutique hotel. The hotel's location is in the heart of Florence, and is far from the main attractions of the core area, close to the Pitti Palace and the Old Bridge, is a region where the locals live more, compared to the main attractions area has a quiet alarm. There are a lot of art-run shops run by locals downstairs, which is worth a visit. There are plenty of local restaurants to try out downstairs. I will stay here next time.

Despite some issues, we liked the stay. Hosts are doing a great job. · The host was very friendly and explained us how to get to the historical center by public transport. We had room for two people with a queen-size (not sure) bed. The room had an extremely high ceiling and a chandelier, but the floor was covered with tile which would fall off in some places. There is a wardrobe, a TV and 3 sockets in the room (which is not enough, in my humble opinion). We had a shared bathroom for two rooms (L'Aranceto doesn't have other rooms, as I understood). The stuff tried their best to keep the bathrooms clean and fresh and succeeded in that, I must admit. Towels and shower gel are included but there was no hairdryer, so be aware. (It turned out you could ask the hosts to get it.) There is also a kitchen and garden in the hotel, which look quite cozy. You can buy products in the supermarket not far from the hotel. Location is good: there is a bus station just around the corner. And at that station there is the best confectionary ever – try pistachio croissants and you will return here just for them.

The 5th floor is basically equal to our 6-7 floors. My husband has to move 2 big boxes. The bathroom is not in the room, so if you want to go to the toilet at night, you should wear the clothes out. We had forgotten our jacket in a taxi on our way to the hotel and without us even asking, they called the taxi service and made sure our jacket was returned. The lady running the place was very friendly and extremely kind. The only issue we encountered was that the wrong address was provided in the TripAdvisor confirmation so we first went to an incorrect location, however when we called the property they directed us to the right place....so please make sure to check the address with the hotel. I chose this wonderfully special ‘home’ to stay in in the heart of Florence for my husband’s surprise 50 th & I couldn’t have chosen a more perfect place to stay for the occasion! The location for starters is spot on , close enough to walk to everywhere but slightly off the beaten track so it’s not too busy at night! Our hosts were absolutely amazing , nothing was too much trouble we were given recommendations for a restaurant for one night which was fantastic, help when we were planning our trip to Venice for the day & breakfast adjustments for me being a vegetarian ! The warmth extended to us whilst we were there was that of being with friends which most definitely added something to our stay, Alessio, Josie & the gorgeous Klajda went above & beyond anything I would’ve expected! The place itself Is like stepping back into 18 th century Florence but with a modern twist to make it truly comfortable & the attention to detail is phenomenal! One evening we came back to a bottle of fizz with two very generous slices of a delicious chocolate cake as a gesture for my husband’s special celebration- it’s the thoughtful touches that make all the difference & this place has those in abundance! Thankyou all for making out stay absolutely perfect! Emma & Bill

We have just stayed three nights in this accommodation and found it amazing for the price we paid. It is in a very good location (around 15 mins to train station. 5-10 mins to mercato Centrale, 10 mins to galleria d’academia, 15-20 mins to most other things to see). The host seemed nice in the minimal interactions we had, gave us a map and explained how to get places and said hi each morning as we left. The rooms were clean upon arrival and were tidied each day. Not entirely sure why so many people are moaning about some of the rules you are asked to adhere too which I would say are all entirely reasonable, especially considering the price paid. The hotel is in the old town and it is more convenient to walk for ten minutes from the Church of Santa Maria del Fiore. The breakfast is also good, the variety is enough, the service staff is very warm, and his kitchen is always open, you need hot water to burn it yourself, there is juice in the refrigerator, you can use it yourself. The building is very old, the decoration is OK, old but not broken. The feeling of the old city.

Florence Historic Center
I was in Florence for work and booked in Hotel Angelica being a last moment booking I didn't know what to find but all I can say is Fantastic very clean only 1 minute walk from the station room and bed very comfortable and the breakfast was great full of variety. The owner Mrs Angelica is an adorable women helped so much in finding a car hire and she also let me leave my heavy luggage until evening. Everything was perfect much berrer than the 4 star hotels I normally stayed in.
