      We liked this place! Of course you can't drive in front of the door with your car, but then that's most often the case if you stay in this kind of old town. But everything can easily be reached by foot. We got a very friendly welcome by Matteo upon arrival and could use our room already before the official check-in time (during an off-season period), which we appreciated a lot. The room was beautifully decorated with enough space and a good-size bathroom and shower. At breakfast there was a very nice buffet with lots of choices and some quality cheese and meat. Unfortunately, at the time of our visit it was too cold to sit outside on the terrace with a terrific view on the harbor. Otranto is a beautiful city and worth a visit, if only for the incredible mosaic at the cathedral. We would certainly choose Palazzo de Mori again. Just to note, it is clearly a (high-class) B&B and not a 4* hotel as marked on Google.

      We booked this hotel through Luxury Escapes as we have done at least 5 other holidays through them and have always been happy. Firstly, their 4 star accommodation Is totally out of date. The room is old with mold around the bath and shower. Towels and sheets are thin and worn. Bed is hard and pillows are flat and lumpy. Room is clean though. Hallway carpets are stained and shabby. Pool is green with blue green algae and pool area is overgrown and shabby. Free 3 course meal is ok, main meal is very small. Free pizza and drink at the local pizzeria is very good though ( part of the package ) Breakfast is very good and so is the service staff, very efficient and friendly. The location is awesome, 5 minute walk to the old town, boardwalk and surrounding restaurants. The only 4 star thing about this place is the staff, in fact they themselves are 5 star. They are truly amazing !! Everyone on the front desk,(especially Alessandro) were so helpful and friendly. For the price we paid, including the additional premium which was an extra $1,050 it was totally overpriced and in desperate need of a renovation. This is not what is advertised or pictured.

      Hygiene: very clean Surroundings: Because the hotel belongs to the resort, not in the city center, in the suburbs about 15 minutes walk from the city Facilities: Ideal for a holiday, with a swimming pool, SPA balcony is also very suitable for sunbathing, that is, the hotel says there is a private beach, but even 9 kilometers away, you have to pay to go! You must know that there is a free blue sky and blue sky for 15 minutes on foot! ! Service: It took the front desk nearly two hours to find my order.
