This was a return visit to Betmanowska, We visited for our anniversary and was collected at the airport in the Rolls Royce (recommend to anyone looking for a luxury airport transfer at a fantastic rate). We arrived an hour before check in and left our bags at reception, on arrival we realised that we had been upgraded to a suite with a city view. all i can say is WOW what a room! Relaxing lounge to chill in, 2 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, Whirlpool Bath and Sauna... I can honestly say this Hotel is the best place we have ever stayed at. The view from this room is incredible, the little touches go along way - Daily restocked fridges with cold drinks; a bottle of prosecco on arrival and the toiletries smell lovely and are restocked daily aswell. We had breakfast daily and was a great selection with a cold buffet and then you order a hot dish. Polish vodka for breakfast is always something to try! We will be back; Thank you for making our anniversary one to remember <3

We stayed for 5 days here - first day we found that our room is not possible to lock due to malfunctioned locking system - hotel changed the room as fast as possible. The rooms were very clean and cosy , no noise from the street disturbed us ( the hotel is in front of hospital) . Breakfest was perfect : classics plus polish local products and many more . Service is absolutely friendly. The parking is a bit problem , because the hotal parking lot is strictly limited for approx 12-14 cars and the parking places around are charged and mostly full. The major sightseeings are available by walk so a location is very good. This hotel is my option #1 for the next visit in Krakow.

After changing accommodations to this BW premier hotel from the BW Hotel Galacya we were assigned a decent room staying for 3 nights but sadly things went afoul with numerous issues. Unfortunately an upgrade was not possible and we understood the reason why as it was quite heavily booked. AC was not functioning, no fans available, no luggage rack for our suitcases, tap leaking along with a few other minor things. No other rooms were available we were told. Breakfast was good but we were rudely warned on day one by one of the hostesses that food was not to leave the restaurant given the fact that we grabbed one bun too many and did not want to throw it out or put it back into the basket for hygienic reasons. You should have seen the fruit and sandwiches taken by a few large groups....we seemed to have been singled out as we were not part of any group. On our third night, just our luck there was a wedding at the hotel and our room was directly above the outside smoking patio which was the gathering point for very happy but loud wedding patrons. Requested room change knowing that the party would go on into the morning hours and were bumped around to 2 other rooms before one was finally acceptable. By 10:30pm we finally settled into our changed room after unpacking and repacking numerous times. ( the party went until 5:00 am so e were told). Evening staff were understanding but it did affect our rating. Discussed issues with Management via email The next day and they gave us a bit of a discount with 15% off one night and free parking. Certainly a Premier hotel but as Diamond Select members we did not feel as if it was one, even though we use BW globally. Signed...a seasoned traveller.

Pros: had its own parking which made it comfortable, room was clean and quite nice. Cons: reception staff don't know how to speak in English, most of the food in breakfast was either stale, rotten or with mosquitoes. The hot shaving dishes are the safest. The a/c in the room probably doesn't work as most of the day's had to keep the window open, which was inconvenient when there was a wedding and kept on playing the music till around 2am.

The Hotel was excellent. Very clean and within walking distance of the main square. We arrived early and were given access to our room by the brilliant receptionist, who helped us out with everything we asked of her during our break. Breakfast was excellent with plenty of choice, and all fresh. It is a 2 minute walk through the park to the main square and all the bars and restaurants. We visited many local restaurants and bars and found everything to be cheap, but great quality. On checking out we were afforded access to a room to keep our luggage, which allowed us to wander around for some last minute shopping. There was plenty to see and do and we have had a great time. I would definently visit Krakow again, and stay at this hotel again as all staff were superb and friendly.

So, I spend about 100 nights in hotels every year and my choices are always 4 to 5 stars, being Novotel one of them for sure. I was attracted to this hotel by the excellent price in high season XMas in Krakow and excellent reviews from lots of customers. Swimming pool was also a magnet to my daughter. PROS. Excellent staff, both in reception and at the restaurant for breakfast. Nice Swimming pool. Little bit cold for my taste, 28C Water. For my daughter was OK. Good quality on breakfast. Layout of the room, TV, reception decoration, was very nice. As I said, unbeatable Price. Location is little bit far from the city with fewer facilities around. This didn't bother us as we took Uber to go anywhere in Krakow being the cost always no more than 20Zl. (around 4,5€). CONS We choose 2 double beds. This meant a dreambed for my daughter (140cm) and a tiny bed for us (140cm) We are used to sleep more spacious. Besides, mattress was kind of tired, not the best Quality. Option for a bigger bed and a sofa bed was never available. Soundproof. Poor. Hotel was "sadly" full of families. I am a businessman travelling midweek and perhaps I am not used to it, or maybe Novotel Krakow City West facilities are not used to it, but you could hear kids running and running through the corridors until late midnigt. Kids jumping and playing in upper floors, people just laughing loud also around midnight. We were in EXECUTIVE ROOM 225. Not what I expected from am Extra Money Room. Breakfast room was not prepared for a full hotel. 2 out of 4 coffee machines working. 3 days without Quality juices. (just a crumpy motel-style juice machine). All in one, the experience was below expectations of a NOVOTEL stay. Maybe Staying in this hotel outside HolidayTime would change my mind. Maybe I was wrong, and choosing a hotel with Swimingpool was a magnet for uncomfortable sleep.

Be aware that you check in at Hotel Electra just round the corner. It's literally just 2mins walk, and when I arrived there, they gave me clear guidelines where to go to my room. I'd arrived early and the hotel were happy to store my bags till check in. At first glance the front gate entry looks scruffy - but this is quite common in Poland - lovely venues hidden within a natural rough feel. The room was up a flight of stairs and when I opened the door, I realised the room was very spacious with a high ceiling. The kitchen area is at the bottom of the room with your beds. Not air conditioned, but a stand up fan is there to use which worked great. The bathroom was very clean. 3mins walk and you are at the Barbican - the start of the old town area. Good location.

The location is very good, next to the central square, and most of the famous attractions are concentrated in the old town, so it is very convenient. The breakfast at the hotel was great, although the choice was not too much, but the quality was high. The only thing that is criticized is that the room is a little dim, but the front desk staff is very good. I will choose this store next time in Krakow.

My wife booked a single night stay whilst we enjoying a seven night break in Krakow. This truly lovely boutique hotel is in the heart of the Kazimierz Jewish quarter opposite the areas oldest synagogue. On our arrival, we were immediately upgraded to a bigger room which was nice. The room was large and spacious with a very comfortable double bed. The hotel is very tastefully decorated, and the whole hotel has a lovely friendly atmosphere. It has Sky roof bar which offers fabulous views of Krakow. We chose to eat in the hotel restaurant to clebrate our wedding anniversary and enjoyed a lovely three course "taster" menu for the amazing cost of 49 zlotys (9.86) each!! The staff were so helpful and friendly, and we had a great stay. Very recommended!!

Stayed in the Spatz for 4 nights (17-21st may) in a triple room. 3 generations , my mum, myself & my daughter. Everything from before our visit to check out was great and all staff were lovely. On arrival we were allocated room 23 on the very top floor which was a great size and the bathroom was huge. Beds were comfy. We were also given welcome drinks vouchers too which were a nice touch. After our 1st night we found the stairs were too much for my mum (she is in her late 60's) and also for myself so after breakfast we asked if there would be a chance we could be moved to a lower floor ,which the hotel did for us no hassle at all. We were moved to room 9 on the 1st floor which was slightly smaller but spotlessly clean and looked like it was recently refurbished too. We ate in the hotel on our 2nd night as we didn't want to venture too far after a full day at Auchwich, food was tasty and reasonable. Cocktails, coffee's and soft drinks were all cheap too in the bar. Breakfast had a decent enough selection, with a few items such as boiled eggs, crepes, scrambled eggs & omelette available to order as part of your bb rate. You could upgrade to a full English for an extra £2 per day (can't comment on it as we didn't try it). The hotel is in a great area right in the heart of the Jewish quarter with plenty of restaurants around it and a 15 min stroll to the old town. It can be quite noisy later on in the evenings if your room is overlooking the front of the hotel. There is a water machine on the 1st floor which is handy. The hotel arranged our auchwich tour which was handy for us and also arranged for a taxi to take is to the mall on our last day. All in all we enjoyed our stay in the Spatz and would stay again if we were ever in Krakow.

Apart from some distance from the old town, everything else is very good! However, it is not expensive to take a taxi, usually 30 to 40 yuan to the center of the old city. Next to the supermarket KFC, there are a number of super-large warehouse stores, there are 24 hours of similar Sam's shop, super large IKEA and several large shopping malls, have time to go shopping, but time is optimistic. The service on the first day of the hotel is particularly pleasant and comfortable. The breakfast brought by the hotel is also quite satisfactory. The restaurant is not expensive, it is not too much choice.

I booked this place through 'BookingDOTcom' at a fantastic price and was so please with my stay here at the Riverside Aparthotel. The check-in felt a little sketchy at 1st as I didn't even need to give my name or any details and was given my key to the apartment I was staying in. However, I was communicating with the owner and she knew my ETA and also the fact I was with a big group of 8 guys! Went up to the apartment and I was so pleased. With such a big group we managed to fit everyone in well and everybody had a comfortable nights sleep each night. The apartment was clean and beautifully decorated with a nice feature wall. All the beds were comfy including both sofa beds we had too. Most importantly for me, the bathroom was very clean with a decent shower with unlimited hot water. Couldn't be more pleased. The location of the apartment was great too. Wonderful view of the castle with only a short walk into the Main Square or the Jewish Quarter, super easily to get everywhere and an easy location for taxi drivers to pick-up/drop you off. Overall, a fantastic place and would highly recommend. 9/10.

Visited here for a few nights during a warm June. Check in very quick and friendly, our room was ready early - bonus! The room itself was a little on the small side but for the amount of time we spent in it it was perfectly functional. The bathroom was lovely and modern with a top down 'rain' shower. Water pressure was a bit rubbish though. The hotel will provide an iron and ironing board if you ask! As others have noted, you can hear the trams from the room but you'll soon zone it out - if you're a light sleeper you'll probably need ear plugs. You can walk to the main square in around 15-20 minutes - its an easy walk down a straight road. The opposite direction over the bridge takes you to the former jewish ghetto which is worth exploring to see the various historical sites - heroes square, the ghetto wall and Schindler's factory. Also worth walking down the river from the hotel towards Wawel Castle where you'll see the 'Hala Forum' - this is a cool riverside venue with lots of bars and eateries. Krakow is lovely and everything is so cheap, particularly if you're used to rip off UK prices. Enjoy!

We stayed at the ibis krakow for 4 nights. The hotel is in a perfect location near the main Glowny station. Which is where the train from the airport arrives at. The train is about £2:50 and takes 20 minutes. For easy access to the hotel walk to the end of the platform in the direction you came from on the train. Walk down the subway and turn left. At the top of the stairs is the ibis budget and the ibis hotel. The rooms are nice and clean with what you need for a short stay. We requested a kettle at reception and one was brought to our room. We had taken our own travel cups and coffee. The breakfasts in the morning are standard European fare. Scrambled eggs hot dog style sausages salad cheeses hams and pastries, fruit juices and hot drinks. The hotel is 2 minutes walk to the main Galleria shopping centre, a 3 storey building with everything including a food court. At the far side is a short walk under the subway to the main tourist square. All in all I would recommend the ibis hotel for its value and definitely its location. I’ll be booking again for another stay in the ibis. 👍

Lovely apartments in an ideal location. 5 min walk from main Krakow train/bus station. We took bus from the airport which only cost 4.60 zloty ( about £1 / €1) Took around 45 mins . From apartments its only around a 10-15 min walk to top of the Old Town (Barbican , Florins Gate). Very spacious modern rooms and comfy beds. Decent kitchen with hob, oven, fridge, etc. TV, iron/board, and washing machine. Nice breakfast ( hot and cold buffet style) . Wifi signal good. No maid service to rooms, but replacement towels were provided. Nice reception staff. The hotel has 3 stars, but the impression is far better! The room was lovely, the bathroom delicate and everywhere we went it was clean, clean, CLEAN - and it smelled nice! There was good quality of the bath products (it is a rare experience) and it was even thought of Kleenex, Q-tips and makeup mirrors - never experienced before. The balcony was spacious and a big plus for proper balcony furniture. The breakfast was lovely with good selection and young, cheerful waiters tidying up after you before you have time to think about it. The breakfast room overlooks a beautiful zen-inspired garden - recommend a trip there with a cup of coffee after breakfast. The staff at this hotel are especially service minded - everything is answered with a smile, they are nice, solution oriented and quick on their feet. Art & Garden Residence is highly recommended :-)

A super place. Quite old but beautifully renovated with attention to detail. Rooms a good size with everything you need. Mineral water replaced daily as were tea/ coffee sachets. Stayed 5 days with 2 friends and couldn’t have chosen a better place. Breakfast was excellent. Service was quick and waitresses were excellent - never waited for coffee! Reception staff equally lovely and helpful. The staff were all quite young but very capable and always with a smile. Location great. In old town but not noisy because on a quiet back street. Have stayed in many hotels in cities all over the world and this is one of the best. The one small criticism is that the hotel bar had a limited choice of drinks- but the barman was very kind if a little embarrassed.

A wonderful cozy place. On a quiet street, but with buses to the station (including night). Nearby - Bedrenka, a few Frogs and a mini bakery. The villa itself has a good yard. The house is old, early in the 20th century, so there is much to touch, but it is nice to enter the door under Madonna's statue, and in its room to open the door with an old latinum pen. The hosts create an incredible, home comfort. All staff speak Russian. And by the New Year the owners dressed the kiparis :)

Hotel is about 30 mins in a taxi from airport costing 89 PLN about £17, could’ve got the train but we were short on time so didn’t want to waste any waiting for a train to save a few pound. The taxi man was very friendly and recommended good places to eat out etc. We did book with the same company to go back to the airport at 3AM in the morning and was there right on time. The hotel is basic but super clean and spotless so can’t complain as you’re there for the city not to stay in your hotel all day. The hotel staff were very friendly especially the lady on reception (can’t remember her name but was blonde) and had perfect English. It’s about a 20 easy minute walk into Kraków old town. Looking at all the buildings and views on the way and with good company feels like nothing. The area feels safe as we walked back from the old town at about 10pm and had no problems but could get a cheap taxi but we didn’t mind the walk. Only thing in the old town I wouldn’t recommend getting one of the tours in the ‘golf buggies’ as the one we had was boring and we had a head set on with pre recordings on so try and get one where the tour guide actually speaks to you. However can’t fault the hotel at all, clean and had a great location would 100% recommend to anybody who is visiting Kraków!!

Just returned from a marvellous week at the beautiful Grand Hotel in Kraków. I cannot explain how well everyone treated us from the excellent reception staff, bar staff, Hotel room cleaning lady to the ever welcoming doorman. They all were a credit to a well deserved 5 star rating. The location is perfect for the main square and the other gems that Kraków offers. It is very close to the railway station and easy to get in and out. Hotel breakfast is also very good. The waiter at the front desk was rather indifferent and gave us a room with a separate bathroom and room. Didn't understand why it was designed in this way? Could it be that guests were asked to wear pajamas and go to the corridor to another bathroom. The older waiter at the front desk insisted on showing us this room and showing her the room type photos shown in Ctrip's booking record. Later, through Ctrip, we negotiated with the hotel in time before changing to another room. Other services of the hotel are very good.

Myself, husband & daughter stayed at Hotel Galaxy from Friday to Monday. The hotel is in a great location next to the River Vistula. Around a 25 min walk to The Old Town Main Square & a 20 min walk to Oscar Schindler's Factory which are both worth a visit when in Krakow. We stayed in a Suite as there was 3 of us. The room had one main bathroom with a separate toilet & sink which was handy. Room was spotlessly clean, warm & spacious. The fridge was well stocked & there was plenty of hanging space for our clothes. We were picked up at 6.15am on Saturday to go to Auschwitz & the Salt Mines & the hotel kindly made up 3 breakfast bags for us to take with us. These included warm rolls, cereal bars, fruit, fruit juice & water & were very tasty. We would recommend staying at Hotel Galaxy.

It can be a little tricky to find the address first time, my tip is to reach it from the street swietego tomasza. The entry is basically on the right side of the street as it reaches the square plac szczepanski. I walked from the main train station (glowny), and it takes 10-15mins. I had my own room in the front building, it was a private dorm, so was large and spacious. As a solo traveller I didn't need this size room but didn't mind. The room had thick walls and a high ceiling, strong old furniture, and an en-suite washroom. Telly and coffee making facilities were present although I never used them. Pillow was too feeble. The room was more quiet than expected, although I only stayed on 3 x weekday nights. The inner courtyard of the guesthouse presents a nice setting as you'll see in the pictures, although there is practically no communal areas there. Not sure if this is due to covid19. The guest rooms along the floors which surround the yard have a nice vantage. As I was housed in the front building, I wondered whether it'd be a bonus to have a room within the courtyard. Location is a strong point. In the immediate vicinity there's a conveience store 2 doors down open til 11pm and plenty of bars and restaurants (however the noise from them didn't seem to penetrate into the guesthouse during my stay). I recommend Polskie Smaki, a traditional polish restaurant closeby. They serve delcious hearty dishes at good prices. Also there's a taxi rank along the street, and the square has benches for relaxing. The square has an exhibition but it's completelty in Polish. Oh, and the main square of Krakow is exceptionally close, only a 3mins walk. Overall it was excellent value and a great location and facilities. Staff were nice and helpful. Would stay again when returning to krakow.

The hotel is excellent. The location is wonderful. Beautiful and renovated building. In the center of the beautiful old town, within walking distance to all the famous places. Surrounded by restaurants, shops, pubs and clubs. 5 minutes walk to the Grand Mall and the main train station. The hotel is beautiful, the lobby is tiny and minimalist. The room (premium corner) is very large and beautiful, clean, spacious, huge windows and a view of the main pedestrian street, the cathedral and the big square. The staff is very nice and kind. The hotel has additional services, some at a nearby hotel probably, we did not need or use. There is public parking nearby. A week's stay at the hotel was pleasant and very comfortable. The bathroom is beautiful, comfortable, clean and with underfloor heating. Mineral and carbonated water bottles are available in the guest room. The minibar is empty, which is very convenient for personal use. There is a tea kettle and coffee without milk .. (except with milk powder). At the same time - there are small and important things that you should pay attention to. The TV is tiny, outdated, with 25 channels, most of them in Polish except for the BBC and Euro New. No cnn and sports channels. And even so, the transmission quality is poor ... The WiFi network is poor and limited, and with poor quality and many disconnections in the room. The wired connection is correct. No clock, named place. The bathroom has no cosmetics like conditioner, moisturizer or magnifying mirror. There is a multi-purpose soap bottle. In the room there is no brochure explaining the hotel services, or regarding the operation of the TV, etc., no tourist information, no writing tools - nothing. At the same time, and despite this - the hotel is great, in a great location and highly recommended.

Breakfast is average, the hotel is located in the center of the city, shopping and playing are very convenient, but it makes me uncomfortable. The platform says that there is free parking. I spent 50pld and stopped overnight.
