      The Carlyle is pure heaven from the moment you walk in- from the very welcoming doormen and front desk staff to everything else! David the Concierge is amazing, totally on top of every request and he sends printed booking confirmations to your room straight away - he found the best theatre tickets, best tables in restaurants, and top limo services- in addition, a smart hotel car will take you on short trips if it is available. The room was perfect, quiet, spotlessly clean, very comfortable bed, duvet and feather pillows, lots of fluffy towels, and easy to reach plugs for computers. Great housekeeping and turn down service. Temperature in my room dropped at night (unusually cold weather in April) and a fan heater was brought up within minutes, warmed me up straight away. Telephones are answered straight away, by a very polite and helpful team. Iconic bar with fabulous live music, delicious drinks and top service- a beautiful room, full of style and atmosphere. Restaurant is amazing too, proper old school level of excellence. Room service arrives quickly and beautifully presented. Love every aspect of The Carlyle- it is beyond fabulous!

      The hotel is very close to the Metropolitan Museum of Art and a walk takes place. The rooms are small but beautifully furnished. Two bottles of Evian mineral water are delivered every day. The first day has fruit bowls. Many people in the lobby elevators wear clothes to highlight New York fashion. It was unfortunate that I met an Oolong front desk man and gave me two pre-authorizations. I had to pay a hundred for the prepayment of the house. He brushed a hundred and then brushed for 590 dollars. I didn't point out that he didn't explain this to me. When I showed the text message of payment, he went to the office and said something to another person. Then the person came out and checked that they didn't collect more money, everything was OK, then I asked. What should I do with this money? The man said that he will be able to return it to me. This is a mistake. This is of course a mistake. The lady who came to check did not apologize and said that there was no problem. I am very dissatisfied with this. I didn’t receive more than five hundred dollars in the morning, but I returned a hundred dollars. It was too much. I checked this matter with them when I checked out. They said that they didn’t collect more money. The pre-authorization will be after I left. I gave it back in a few days. They did not collect the money but brushed up the pre-authorization, and did not release the pre-authorization when I left. It was almost a month before I received the automatic cancellation. The rooms in the hotel are very good and good value for money, but for the work at the front desk, remind the Chinese compatriots to pay attention!

Yes, it is dated, and very small but to know the NYC experience, this is it. It was clean, the housekeeping was amazing, and everyone was helpful. Alberto was a great help in fixing our TV issues, a long-lost remote control! I had my mom with me who was excited to have Spanish-speaking staff. They could be more organized, they stored their cleaning supplies in the hallways, and they needed more staff to keep the eating area neat and tidy. Our only grip (my husband's grip) was that the bathroom door didn't latch. For the NYC experience on the budget, this was good.

      A hidden gem on the Upper East side! Very friendly & welcoming staff, charming updated rooms and awesome location near Central Park & Met. We loved being on a relatively quiet residential street. We had read reviews about the rooms being small and they are quite small but we were able to make our bags/luggage work. The good news is if you are doing a trip to NYC right, you aren’t in your room except to sleep at night! We were gone all day most days walking around the city. The rooms have been very nicely updated with great finishes while keeping the old history. charm. The beds are very comfortable too. We stayed 5 nights & enjoyed our stay at this hotel immensely! We hated to leave but are looking forward to our next visit at the Frankin! Tips: 1) pack on the light side- there is ample space for hanging clothes but avoid large suitcases if you can as floor space is limited. 2) if you drive a large oversized vehicle, be aware that the adjacent parking garage might not be able to accommodate. We drove our Dodge Ram truck and it was too long for their elevator so we had to park about 1 1/2 blocks away (but that garage was very accommodating .) Otherwise, the adjacent garage is super nice and really convenient! 3) make sure to enjoy a breakfast/lunch at the Bocado Cafe on the corner of Lexington and 87th. Delicious food and great service. We ate 2 lunches there and were very pleased- super convenient too! 4) Starbucks and Whole Foods are just down the street as well The hotel staff was FABULOUS! We were greeted so warmly at check in and treated to delicious cookies & water bottles. The staff goes out of their way to treat you like family during your stay and were so accommodating to our every need. Can’t say enough good things about our stay. It’s a unique property with so many positives! We will definitely be lifelong Franklin Hotel patrons bc we love this part of the city and the charm of this wonderful property!

      It is a wonderful hotel. The view from the back of the hotel reveals an oasis. The ground floor rooms open out to private patios, I would definitely request on my next visit. The view from the back is a peaceful one. Between the row of trees along the back of the adjacent property is a pool of water and a green lawn. It is quite relaxing which was comforting for me while I visited my husband at nearby Sloan Cancer Center. In addition, the staff was very accommodating. I would definitely stay there any time I visit NYC.

      I was able to spend 2 weekends in a row at this hotel and I cannot say enough great things about the service. Robert & Ela at the concierge desk have to be 2 of the best and brightest in the city. Extremely knowledgeable about the area and directing towards the perfect spot you are looking for. The bartenders are all so friendly and I looked forward to spending part of my evening with them each night. Kyle, Giuseppe, and Sonny were very attentive. They all run circles around the bar and we so polite. Housekeeping team were fantastic and even walking down the hallway they would ask you if you were going down and press the button for you for less of a wait time. Everyone anticipated our needs throughout the trip. I will definitely be back and everyone should stay here.

For hotels next to Central Park, as long as the rooms face the park, the room rate is doubled. Many rooms in the hotel have been sold to private owners, entrepreneurs or celebrities. The interior view rooms and interior view suites have no view. The city view rooms and suites have a view of the city and you cannot see the Central Park. Please remember when you book.

      Honestly this place is really no frills. It’s extremely cheap and in a fantastic location - a step away from Central Park, a few blocks from most big museums and theatres, easily walkable to most tourist attractions and transport links. It’s also very safe, the desk employee asks to see everyone’s card before allowing them into the building. Also, you need to use the card to unlock your door, which makes your belongings feel secure, as well as having a small safe for expensive/important items. The rooms are small and not fancy or luxurious but you have a bed and a lockable door. The shared bathrooms are small and dorm-style which wouldn’t suit everyone. It’s best to use them early if you’re busy to ensure you don’t have to wait. When I stayed only one shower worked so obviously a line could build up quickly. Honestly, they aren’t the cleanest bathrooms. I was glad to have shower shoes! But they’re useable. The staff were extremely helpful, polite, and cheerful all the time. I locked myself out of my room in the middle of the night (went to the bathroom and forgot my card) and they let me back in quickly and efficiently. Also if you needed to ask a question or needed help they were always happy to help. Overall this isn’t a luxurious place. It’s very very basic living. However, it is very safe with good service and is in an incredible location for the price, and when in NYC I was so busy out and about that I barely stayed in the room. I would recommend it totally for someone who wants to save money to do more fun things!

      The service attitude was not good. I booked the hotel on Ctrip and paid the full price. It just went well when I checked into the hotel. But one day suddenly called me at eleven o'clock and told me that it would cost me two thousand dollars to pay the room rate again and I could only use credit cards but not cash. I have to pay for it but I do n’t know why I have to do it again. They just keep saying that I have n’t received it and talk to them for an hour or two before letting go. I agree to let me pay it tomorrow morning. My friend runs from New Jersey. Help me pay, and they said that the system did n’t refresh last night, and I said no need to pay, and no one told me that the front desk seemed as if nothing had happened. It was really disgusting.

      My husband and I traveled to NY on business in late March. Because we were able to book through our company, we enjoyed a discounted rate and hence found the hotel to match that value. Had we paid $1,200+/night for the room, we would have been disappointed. We are Ambassador level, but I can tell you that there are zero benefits offered to Marriott's most loyal. Check in went smoothly but we were not given any kind of upgrade, despite the hotel being nowhere near capacity (and plenty of rooms available for booking on the app). At other Ritz Carlton properties around the world we have enjoyed a room upgrade, club access, etc. but you get nothing like that at the Ritz central park. I will say that our "no view" deluxe king room was SILENT. It's really hard to find a truly quiet hotel room in midtown, but this was it. Your view may be of an interior courtyard and brick wall, but you'll sleep like a rock! The room itself was spacious and the bathroom was beautiful and comfortable. The room does not have any kind of coffee or tea. There's a mini fridge, but it won't hold more than a few small items. Everything was very clean. None of the staff wore masks which we actually loved. Enough COVID theater! The wifi didn't work the first two days we were there but we had 5g service throughout the hotel. One of the highlights is the gym, which includes both a normal cardio/weights room as well as a "studio" with mats and 2 pelotons. The bar is really beautiful and well spaced out. We had drinks there twice and dinner once. The dinner was just OK, but the martinis are delicious! The location is great especially if your business is in midtown. The bar is a great place to have a business meeting or host clients because it was relatively quiet without feeling dead. We spend 12+ hours/day at the office and only use the hotel for sleep, gym, bar. While we would definitely return on a business trip at a discounted rate, we would not "splurge" for $1,200+/night for a room here.

      This hotel and its facilities were one of the most-talked about topics on our week-long visit. There are some aspects of the hotel which are great - some which you dont encounter in some other hotels. Then there are some aspects which simply let the hotel down. The hotel should just give up on Breakfast.. there is no restaurant, and there are only three dining tables and a low coffee table which means that there is not a lot of room if all guests arrive at the same time for Breakfast. "Continental Breakfast" it is advertised on the hotel website - it is nothing of the kind. Consisting of tea, coffee, cerals, croissant, juice and toast it is very minimalist. In the latter part of the stay there were no Croissant or Juice 'because of covid'. Given the number of shops around it would not have been difficult to have sourced these elsewhere, but the staff decided it was too much trouble. There are a few places for breakfast within a short distance from the hotel, though As with no restaurtant, there is no bar either... but there is one two doors down, and behind the hotel. And there are some really good points to this hotel: There is plenty of hot water for the shower, and the temperature doesn't fluctuate as it does in some other hotels in this part of NYC. There are plenty of towels, the bed is comfortable, and the rooms are soundproofed from other rooms (but not from outside). I would have liked a security eye hole in the door so you can see who is at the door before opening it

      Great hotel to stay at when your gets cancelled at La Guardia. The night manager was courteous & all about taking care of us after a long day & not having our luggage. The guy single-handedly & calmly handled a steady stream of people with cancelled flights needing rooms, and always maintained a smile & positive attitude the entire time. Rooms were clean & with plenty of modern conveniences like USB plugs & TVs to broadcast from your phone. Breakfast was good. Airport Shuttle runs every 30 minutes & starts at 0400. If you’re hungry when you get there in the evening best to use Grub-Hub or Uber-Eats to deliver food, not much within safe walking distance.

This hotel is not suitable for a few days; the security is OK [Advantages]: Very close to the airport, there is a microwave in the room! !! !! !! And a kettle! !! The hotel provides a free bus to take you to the airport, every 4 hours from 4 am to 11:30 am; every hour from 12 noon to 2 pm. However, there are many black people in this hotel. Among the five or six hotels I have stayed in, there are more black people. The composition of the people in the hotel is about 70% to 75% white Asians and 25% to 30% blacks. I only stayed for one night. It feels safe for me, but it is best not to stay for a long time. no problem

      This was my 2nd time staying at this Hampton LGA property. Upon arrival during my 2nd stay and after 4 calls to the hotel for the hotel shuttle, it finally came 35 minutes later to the upper departure level at door 16. I checked in and had to ask for water as the blonde did not give it to me nor did she ask if I wanted one or two keys, I got one. The snack bar/soda case had barely anything in it. You would think a hotel that does not have a restaurant would ensure that snacks/drinks were available to purchase. Sunday morning I awake to take a shower and the water is ice cold. I call the front desk and I'm told I need to wait at least 5 minutes. Okay, 15 minutes later the water is still cold. So, no morning shower. At check-out I informed the lady (didn't get her name, but she's short with dark hair) about the water not turning hot after 15 minutes of running and she offered me points. I asked how many she said 10 thousand. I'm still waiting on the points as I honestly believe she just wanted to brush me off. I also called and left a voicemail for the hotel manager as he seems to be very busy and can't answer or return phone calls. All this to say, I was okay after the shuttle situation, but to have no shower and be offered something only to find out its not true, is so WRONG on SO many levels. I would be wrong if I did a charge back on my stay. Very upset/disappointed in this property. You really need to do better and follow with your word and train your employees better. All to say, still no return call from this property or points.

      The first night was terrible, we were in room 805 directly opposite the elevator. As the other reviews say there is a lot of noise generally as there is almost no insulation between rooms but being next to the elevator we heard people coming and going all night with lots of shouting and late night partying. The bed was awful and creaked with the slightest movement. There was a strong smell of **** all night. We ended up getting up at 5am and speaking to the night manager to complain. We were then moved rooms later that day, but the smell of smoke was so bad that we were moved for a 3rd time. We settled in room 1002, the remote control for the TV didn’t work, the bathroom door was almost impossible to slide open and closed, and for another night we had noisy neighbours. The last 2 nights were quieter thankfully. We had decided to stay out the city for once, we didn’t really like the location but that’s our fault rather than the hotels. The manager was helpful and did the best he could. We had another booking their for end of June with some friends and decided to cancel and look elsewhere.

      My wife and I stayed three days at the Equinox Hotel in Hudson Yards, an it was a great experience! The hotel is obviously quite new, and it was amazing. The people at the front desk made us feel home right away. We got a room upgrade, and got what I believe is called a Skyline Room. The room was very elegant and spacious. The bed was great, and so was the bed linen. It felt new and crispy. We had enough room to stash away our luggage, and that always makes it feel less of a travel and more of home. We tried out the their SPA. Both of us had the infra red sauna, and my wife tried a drip treatment. She was a little jet lagged, but it all went away after the drip treatment. I went for a swim in the outdoor, but heated lap pool. The pool was long enough to actually get some exercise out of it. We ate at the restaurant, Electric Lemon, and the food was great. The location of the hotel is perfect to check out the new Hudson Yards. We walked the High Line which is located right by the hotel, and which is a great thing to do in NYC. It took us right down to Chelsea Market. The hotel staff looked out for our luggage the day we checked out, so that we could enjoy more of what the area has to offer. All in all a great experience which is recomended.

In addition, each room will have to pay an additional $ 45 destination tax per night (of which 15 per night) The US dollar can be used at hotel convenience stores, and the other 10 US dollars can be used at hotel bar counters. The elevator speed is very, very fast, and generally does not need to wait long.       There are not many people who comment on it. The hotel is on 49th Street between 7th and 8th Avenues. The roads in Manhattan are easy to recognize, just right and street. Start on Fifth Avenue and then sixth, seventh, Broadway and eighth. In the middle is the street. The Port Authority's main station (that is, the coach station) is on 42nd Street, Times Square is on 47th Street, and the subway can be a 50th Street station, very close. A lot of food nearby (Ichiran Ramen, Shake Burger, Michelin Steak House). The hotel is not a well-known brand in the chain, it is relatively small and not luxurious, but the price is not cheaper than the surrounding Marriott or the like. Last year, I stayed at Marriott very large. The exterior looks larger and more luxurious than this. After all, his infrastructure is very early. But this good place is closer to Times Square than the quiet Marriott there, rooms have microwaves, coffee machines, free fruit and apples, bananas, potato chips, ice water for 24 hours downstairs. There is coffee and tea on the second floor, and friends can sit there. There are slippers, umbrellas and toiletries in the room. L'Occitane. These are not available in American hotels. Dental appliances are not. I booked an agent's twin room at Ctrip at first, which was 500 yuan cheaper than the official website. There are two types of twin beds on the official website. One is ordinary and the other is a barrier-free room with a handrail. The difference between these two types is 500. The double bed marked on Ctrip did not say that it was an accessible room. I booked Ctrip for a small farmer. The fact that I got the room was a barrier-free room, and that 500 was not bad. And it was very low on the third floor. It was super dark in high-rise New York. I went to the front desk to upgrade the suite. The front desk gave me a good discount and added me 50 dollars a day. Hall, bedroom with double bed, double sofa bed in the hall, both bath and shower, and 3 cloakrooms with bathrobe hangers. Ctrip's hotel booking is really very metaphysical, the price and official website are not bad, the room type is difficult to determine, I have learned lessons before. Anyway, the hotel location is convenient and the facilities can be serviced or not. The price is not bad. People do not look at their choices. There is a parking lot on the side of the hotel, and you can also park on behalf of the guests. On the side is the Ambassador Theater staged by Ryoko Micura of Chicago, which is opposite the Mormon Theater.

      The Marlton hotel is a beautiful, old style boutique hotel. The lobby and restaurant are both upscale and yet comfortable . The room was tiny, but had everything we needed. The bathroom was almost as big as the room…lol…The towels and sheets were very high quality, but the bed was too hard for me. We were glad that there was space underneath the bed, as that was the only place for suitcases. The staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was either a grab and go yogurt/granola and coffee or a meal in the restaurant. There are three choices for breakfast that are included, but you can order off a menu as well. We loved the location, being close to both the West and East Village. It’s one block from Washington Square park. Lots of restaurants nearby.

They helped me with dining suggestions, locating a small fan for the room, as well as getting me in early. I feel terrible I do not know their names but all five stars. I want to say Katie/Keli and Vince were who I encountered the most. * good location if you do not want to be in the main tourist area. Near subways, basic shopping, and numerous dining options. Even a small massage parlor across the street which was great. * good size room for NY. Our room on the 11th floor had a very high ceiling which was a nice touch and made the room feel large. * Room was spotless. Cons- * The Front Desk is cashless and cannot make change. Very annoying for all parties especially as I was trying to get change for gratuities. They need some sort of change bank. * The room needed some more light. Very dark. * I requested a taxi to the airport. The taxi they ordered us more than twice the cost of yellow cab. I wish I knew that before he got there as I couldn’t refuse service once he arrived. Not sure if it was a taxi or a car service. Bottom line- Great hotel. Caring FD.

I observed this hotel made a big effort to get back to normal from the covid dates, (it sounds like this is used as emergency shelter, like all other area hotels at some point based on the others' review) First, the front entrance and lobby area has modern design interior with professional and friendly attitude staff. member. My room seems like renovated, new floor and clean wallpaper. all modern interior. Comprementaly breakfast is resumed with hot egg/sausages. the breakfast room is run by a dedicated lady who keeps the items stocked throughout the breakfast time. Overall, I do not have any complaint, I would definitely use this place again.

Arrived at the peak of the stay on Friday afternoon, I was told that I had to wait an hour to go to the restaurant next to my lunch. When I asked again, I was upgraded to a suite. It is much better than the St Regis service in Florence, and the breakfast is just fine. The typical American breakfast, which can eat 50%, is very good. Oh. Breakfast is a single point~ Shopping for a meal is recommended to go to the northeast for 3 minutes to Madison Ave, better than Fifth Avenue, too few people.

      Celebrating a milestone birthday, we didn't want just another hotel. The Beekman did not disappoint. From the moment we arrived by the welcoming doorman to the front desk, bell man and bar/restaurant staff, our stay was fantastic. If you are looking for a hotel with character and history this is it! Situated in the Fi Di in lower Manhattan, the subway is a 3 min walk away, The Beekman is easily accessible and a 40 min trip by cab from LGA. Plenty of good restaurants and breakfast places in the area as well as Seaport Museum and dock with view of the Brooklyn Bridge. We ate at the hotel restaurant and it was excellent. Rated sleep quality 4 out of 5 cos it's the middle of NYC not a mountain resort!

      We stayed here during our trip for five days. This was our first time in New York City and it was exceptional. Since it was the first time visiting, I spent weeks researching hotels looking at neighborhoods, reviews, room types, everything! I’m so happy we decided on The Gotham! From the front desk to the restaurant there were no issues. Everyone was very helpful, attentive, and kind. The pictures are exactly like the rooms. We stayed in the king balcony room on the back side of the building which was really cool and quiet. We also stayed in the queen balcony room because we didn’t do our dates correctly lol and thankfully they had a room open. Looking out on the balcony in the queen room was awesome. We are returning over Christmas and have rebooked the queen balcony room and I can’t wait! This room is noisier but it’s not to the point of not being able to sleep. My husband and I live in the country surrounded by cow fields so if I can sleep with the noise level anyone can!

      PROS: Fantastic location adjacent to the Rockefeller Centre and Radio City. 10 min stroll to Times Square, very safe area. The staff are helpful and very pleasant to interact with. Emmanuel was who we interacted with most and he is very friendly and easy to deal with. There is no resort fee which is rare in NYC and the facilities are quite good. There is a fitness room with weights and Peleton bike. There are also amenities such as a washing machine with free detergent is available to use, vending machines, computer and printer, free tea and coffee area and free filtered water and re-usable bottles located on each floor. There is a deposit on check-in but again this is common and no issue. We stayed in a Deluxe room which was quite spacious for a room in New York, the photos do not do justice to the space. We also had a fridge, microwave and coffee machine in the room. The temperature of the room was easy to control via control panel. The television has lots of channels but also you can cast from your phone so you can watch Netflix etc and the wifi signal is strong. We booked through booking.com and got a free taxi from ELife from Newark directly to the door. On our return journey we got a bus from Bryant Park direct to the Airport. This bus stop services all airports and makes transfer easy. CONS: The light switch in the bathroom did flash/spark at times which would need to be fixed. The internet dropped off service twice but if you phone reception they reset it and it does come back immediately. Rooms are not serviced due to COVID restrictions, you can phone and request anything you need but you would miss the automatic replenishment of the coffee supplies, fresh towels and having the bed made etc. When we did request more bathroom supplies they were dropped to the room very quickly so not a big issue. Overall I would highly recommend the hotel for value for money and location and I hope to stay there again.

      I guess booking.com should be realistic in giving details especially room details because the photo being published on their site is totally different in real life. I booked pod51 because when I saw the photo there was a whole body mirror in the room and there was also a little sofa. We were so shocked when we arrived in our room because the room was so tiny. It seems like the bed is good only for one person and my husband is tall and big. We have 4 luggages and it’s even more difficult to display our stuff. At least you should provide a whole body mirror for your guests because I presumed all guests are tourists people. It is so difficult when we can’t even check ourselves in the mirror. And also, booking.com should be real in publishing photos. It was so misleading. Over all we’re not happy! And I cannot recommend this to all of my friends!

      I had high expectations, this hotel came highly recommended and so I took the chance with a week's stay. The good: The staff is all very nice and welcoming, everyone was kind and friendly. I got a room upgrade (Queen) and was able to check in early (11am), which was really nice and helpful. The room is spacious and the bed is large with plenty of comfortable pillows, I was able to get a good night's sleep. The view was exceptional from my room, not sure all rooms are the same though. Location is great, very close to the river on one side and Chelsea market on the other. Plenty of food options close by. Speaking of food, the burgers from room service are excellent, though the fries are a bit too salty, but overall food quality was great. The bad: The safe malfunctioned, took 3 calls to the front desk and an hour to get someone to come fix it (30 seconds for the actual fix). The manager told me it's another department so there was nothing she could do about it (what??). The water faucet was dripping constantly, one drop every second like clockwork, the whole week. No way to shut it off. That was not fixed by the time I left even though I complained about it. One of the evenings I came back to the room to take a shower before going out to see a show. All ready to go, I turned on the water, only to find out there was no water coming out of the shower. I was later told there was a problem on the floor above and the water was shut off, yet there was water in all other faucets except for the shower. And how about telling your guests about it so they don't get surprised? After speaking to the manager I was offered a 100$ credit for food and beverages as compensation. She forgot to update it in the system, but on checkout I asked for it and somehow that was approved.

      This hotel has advantages and disadvantages. On the last day, I went to Guggenheim and didn't want to walk anymore. I took a taxi directly through Central Park and arrived at Guggenheim in 10 minutes. There are roadways in Central Park that can be crossed. Figure 4-5 is the breakfast at the downstairs corner restaurant. Figure 6 is the breakfast shop on the subway station road.       I have visited NYC once before and stayed in a very busy commercial mid-town Manhattan hotel with no character. This time I wanted to stay in a less busy location in a hotel where the staff welcomed you with a smile. We were not disappointed. We were very pleased with choosing the Beacon. Our room on the 25th floor had all the facilities we needed and as it was a corner suite we had a view of both central park and of the cityscape to the south. The view was quite mesmerising (room 2512 for information). The hotel staff were very friendly as were the other guests we spoke to. The Viand cafe next door served excellent breakfasts and the fairway supermarket across the road was handy for anything we needed for the kitchenette. The Owl’s Tail cocktail bar around the corner made an excellent Manhattan cocktail and the Red Farm asian restaurant a block’s walk up cooked some delicious asian cuisine and also had cold beer on tap. The nearest subway was in sight of the hotel on 72nd street. We would definitely stay here again if we came back to New York.

      Overall, the hotel was very nicely decorated and the beds were very comfortable, with hot running water and blackout blinds. What we strongly disliked was that our room was located directly opposite the 4 elevators A-D and there has been no efforts to soundproof the rooms. This meant we could hear every person coming up and down the elevators throughout the day and night. Secondly, the air conditioning came on during the night and was so loud it woke up both up several times, despite us turning it off. Thirdly, the elevators really need to have a better schedule. 8 elevators and we were often left waiting 10+ minutes for one to arrive, and often stopping at several floors on the way down even when the elevator was full with people. I can't believe that the most efficient method of elevator scheduling is used here. I note that this hotel is a 4 star, and that is why the above negatives are written. Had the hotel been given a 3 star rating I would have genuinely accepted the above negatives of our stay. However, I strongly expected more from a 4 star hotel. We would come back but would recommend they soundproof the rooms near the elevators as well as arranging their elevators more efficiently.

However, Juniors Restaurant near Times Square offers luggage storage for patrons. In closing, I’d gladly stay at this hotel again given the pros.       Newsflash: Welcome to the Grand Renovation of the W’s Flagship in NYC ….for 2023 They have closed down both restaurants, Irvington (my favorite breakfast place in the city) and The Living Room, with a discreet plea to “pardon our appearance.” Oh, and no room service. None. You can't even get a cup of coffee, or make one in your room. Wait, there IS a selection of Pringles at your mini-bar if you need stimulants. (Seriously who is eating Pringles in 2022?? like sawdust tossed with MSG. ) And uhm - almost no elevator. They are down to one elevator for the next six weeks. With over a dozen floors to service, you can expect to wait 10 minutes to get on the elevator, and when you do, there are several other people on it with you. That's not even legal under NYC Covid guidelines. But it's fine for the W. I'm a generally satisfied gold (or platinum?) member, and I booked twelve nights here in January, over the phone with a Bonvoy agent; might have been nice if that agent mentioned that there would be not a scrap of food available on the premises during my marathon stay…or that getting up to my room would be like the rollercoaster line-up at a busy amusement park. I would not have booked if I’d been informed in advance. What's even more irritating is that if you do order food, from Doordash or the like, you need to hoof it down to the lobby to deal with it when it arrives. The W Union square, a ‘Category 7’ hotel, is not ‘set up to manage it’, or to arrange it's delivery up to your room. They are too busy renovating. And did I mention the lobby is always freezing b/c the door just opens and closes all day to the January cold for all the renovations? Sometimes employees at the front desk are wearing winter jackets? So by the time you get down there with the elevator delay - the food is cold. I mean, isn’t hospitality about making the guests feel at home, rather than like there’s been a power outage? Maybe it's a Covid thing. Hard to hold much against anyone these days with all that uncertainty. There is always a bright side to any hotel stay. I do give a shout out to the staff here at the W Union Sq., all who seem smart & super nice and really helpful and apologetic. They are the reason to stay here, (and corporate should thank them by better considering their well-being!) ) Also, the beds are really comfortable, the location is perfect, the view is dynamite, and the place is VERY clean. I suppose all those things are equally important...just less so when you're uncaffeinated at 8am, or starving at 8pm, or get Covid from a crowded lift ride up to your room. And as the last reviewer states, they have the audacity to charge a random $30 'destination fee'? We should be charging the W a "deception fee!" It may appear I have too much time on my hands writing such a long review, and I do realize there are bigger problems in the world than room service, but the W Union Sq. is renovating and asking you to foot the bill, and I thought
