Well located very near Notre Dame. Easy to get to via the subway from the airport. Silvia could not have been more helpful. If management isn’t careful she will move out and up. Elevator works fine . Nice lounge area with self-reporting drinks. Four floors. Room 48 looks toward Norte Dame which is partially visible. Room was comfortable and quiet. Umbrellas for use by the clients. Did we mention Silvia was very helpful? When we asked for a restaurant recommendation from another staff member we got the brush-off saying “turn right, turn right, that’s where the locals eat”. We had the most memorable mediocre to poor meal. When we asked Silvia of course we got a recommendation of a place she had been to eat. We suggest Le Petit Chatelet just next door to Shakespeare Book Store about 5 minutes away. We will return. We hope Silvia is still here.

We just returned from a very pleasant five night stay at Best Western Jardin de Cluny. We had realistic expectations of a small Parisian hotel room - we are never too picky about rooms since it’s only a place to sleep for us after a day of exploring, and the rooms here are cozy but clean. This hotel is in a great location, just off busy Saint Germain de Pres Blvd so there are hundreds of great cafes and fine dining nearby, but situated on a quieter side street. There is a metro stop just around the corner and an RER stop a few blocks away, but we were able to walk to most major tourist attractions. It’s somehow right in the center of the lively Latin Quarter, but elegant and quiet at the hotel. Walls are a bit thin but was never a big issue for us. One quirk is that you must leave your room key with the concierge any time you leave, but the desk is staffed 24/7 to let you back in. Given its location, this was a great value for us and we’d definitely return. Some nearby dinner choices we enjoyed were Le Petit Prince, Le Coupe Chou, and Bistrot du Perigord. Don’t miss the little street when you exit the hotel to the right near the Metro, for a bakery (Maison D’Isabelle), cheese shop, charcuterie, etc. There’s also a lovely street market a few times a week there.

Hotel Henri IV Rive Gauche I am indeed an avid fan of this hotel, not only for its location but the people that made so much of difference on our stays. This is the 2nd time we have returned to them, despite last minute changes to our hotel booking, and the choice was still to go back to this fellas. What can I say about this place? For most of the reviews giving 4/5 stars the hotel, they are true. For us, it’s the sense of belonging and how this hotel, still was in Aug19, created a home away from home ambience. How do I know? My kids felt right at home and we are not French speakers. This says a lot, and in the minimal correspondences with the Pantry/Kitchen during breakfast time, or hailing for a cab to send us around town, or even getting recommendation for nearby food eateries, the people working here made the those difference for us. The attractions nearby, the morning Sunday bell ringing from the opposite Catholic church, the impromptu dancing of whom I believe to Latin American people 1 street away, just gave such zest to the place. Mind you, at this point of time, we could not access to the Notre Dame due to fire, and yet we fitted in like a glove. So the entire location creates that ambience, and when we return to the hotel – arhhhh it really was like home. We had 2 rooms, yes because we booked late hence we couldn’t get back the old room, but it was very manageable. The rooms were comfortable, the girls had a jolly time doing girly stuff while the boys hung out and just chatted. We had the windowed rooms and we could just gaze onto the busy street, and people watch. Isn't that what you also do when you are in Paris? People watching ... Everything in the rooms were working. The beds were soft and great comfort for rest after a full day of galivanting in the city. The services were great – we made so many friends with the front desk and whilst at night, there was an elderly man greeting us with such warmth. Pertaining to professionalism, I thought they are very sensible and professional in all their dealings. Not that I want to brag, the hotel was fair enough to refunded me for the nights that we could not stay due to trip curtailment, and I have always been grateful for them to be so. Of course, if it’s a non-refundable rate, I would not have expected them to return – but they extended that very kind gesture to us, then. I always ask myself, how do I give a fair and decent review especially it’s all matter of angles - I would ask myself if I would return to this hotel despite having to invest a lot of money and missed out on trying other hotels. For that, I know I will always want to return to this hotel, anytime we are in Paris. There is absolutely nothing to complain about them. I hope to see you again, sometime in the future – where COVID19 won’t impact the world anymore. Au revoir et à bientôt!

Everything here was amazing for me and my family. First: The location, near to Notre Dame and the Sena River. The neighborhood is the Quartier Latin where is possible to find good prices in everything; Food, souvenirs, restaurants, etc. Is possible to take the RER and Metro near to the hotel. It is also easy to arrive from airport to the hotel using the RER 5Stars in Location Second: All people at the hotel are friendly, they can help you because they talk english, spanish, russian, etc. And they explain you everything about the city if you have doubts 5stars for the Staff Third: I like the idea they allow you to use the kitchen for free (just remember to wash what you use) and also Laundry too!! :) that was very cool!!. The breakfast is included also and I appreciate it 5stars again Just check wich kind of room you will choose because they have many options for all different kind of visitors :)

We stayed in the hotel for two days, but the cleaning staff of the hotel stole our things! ! ! When we went out on the first day, the suitcase was zippered, but it was not locked, but when we came back, although the suitcase was zipped, there was an extra rag left by the sanitation staff in the suitcase. It's still wet, it should have leaked after going through the suitcase. It's disgusting! We lost some Euros and a pair of Apple Bluetooth headsets, because we two girls and we continued to live there the next day did not ask the hotel to deal with it. I would like to remind everyone who will stay in the later period not to put valuables in the hotel! ! If the hands and feet of the hotel sanitation staff are not clean, they will look through your box!

I’m traveling with a colleague to France for a medical training seminar and I’m bursting with joy finally arriving to Paris. This is my very first time to the country and I think i might’ve set my expectations too high, or better yet they proved the movies right I don’t believe I’m asking for much when I got the front desk requesting a refund... I didn’t even stay the night the room was microscopic couldn’t find a spot for my luggage (two young female adults) it was worse then NYC apartments. We had a long day training and the curriculum fresh in my heads we headed for their sauna as soon as we walked into the door. Only to be greeted with dirty towels and used disposable sandals on the floor. We let them know we were interested in using it but was expected to pay $45 euros to even be allowed in, NOW that’s a first I NEVER seen a hotel charge extra for their own amenities. We decided against it since seeing its maintenance was poorly kept. And am I WRONG for expecting room cleanliness especially during a PANDEMIC. There’s no reason to have yourself finding the previous guest yogurt parfait in the closet... I immediately felt unsafe and went downstairs to check out (SAME DAY) To only be met with your typical French man at the front desk who claims to be “Christian” who just wouldn’t be BOTHERED to pick up a phone and see if he can get management for me, or refund me partially because it just was too much of a risk to come all this way to only get COVID! No there was NOTHING he could do. Simply he said he was sorry as if this industry was based on SORRYS, its bASED ON MONEY&SERVICE and i paid FOR NO CUSTOMER SERVICE. P.S DONT EXPECT THE BREAKFAST THAT CLEARLY INCLUDED... THEY COULDN’T BE BOTHERED TO HAVE BREAKFAST FOR YOU HAVE TO ORDER IT THE EVENING BEFORE SINCE ITS COVID OR WHATEVER.

I chose the hotel for location near the Sorbonne and because I am an Accor loyalty scheme member. Arriving at the Gare du Nord it is only 2 stops on the RER (follow the signs for the Sud platforms and get a train on the B line. Get off at St Michel Notre Dame - next stop after Chatelet les Halles) and there is a travelator connecting you to Cluny metro station with exits only a fee minutes from the hotel. As Mercure hotels go this one is small - no restaurant* except for breakfast. The welcome was good and the small room matched the small price (the other Mercure near sorbonne is much more expensive). The room was quiet and the bed comfortable. Breakfast included some hot food (bacon and sausage and scrambled egg, and a hot plate with little frying pans to cook an egg) otherwise it was fairly average. It was all perfect for my needs. *it is only a few steps to the Bistrot du Perigord in St Jacques which I have also reviewed

This hotel was top notch. Before we arrived, they wrote an email apologizing for the pool being closed due to COVID. We thought this was very thoughtful. They had no control over the situation so they didn't have to tell us but we appreciated the advance notice. The staff was more than friendly and accommodating. The breakfast was brilliant. In the evening, using a tablet in the room we selected our breakfast items and the time we wanted to eat. At the exact time, they guided us to our table and immediately served us. The air conditioning worked very well on the July paris days.

We stayed here for three nights in a family room (2 adults and 2 children- ages 7 & 9). Hotel staff was friendly and prompt to reply to e-mail inquiries and requests we placed before our arrival. They assisted with setting up private car service from CDG (~80Euro for one-way service) and accommodated our request for a family room with a private balcony. Hotel is an older building with some outdated carpeting/stairs/walls, but not unexpected or out of the norm for a Paris hotel in this price range. Single, small elevator (fits 2 people max), so we took the stairs most of the time up to the fourth floor. Breakfast was typical, simple European buffet-style (pastries, cheese, meat, cereal, coffee, juice, bread, jams). Location was good - close to Metro so easy access to rest of Paris and only a couple stops away from Gare du Nord. We didn't eat in the neighborhood so can't speak about quality of local restaurants. Wifi was pretty poor and slow, but we came to learn this about pretty much all wifi we encountered throughout Europe. Overall, a good, value-conscious hotel in Paris. We originally booked through an online booking site, but found that we could get cheaper rates including breakfast if we went directly through the hotel site. We would probably look into a different hotel in the future, but not because this place was poor - rather we would look into trying something different. PROS: friendly, communicative staff - even through e-mail before arrival; close to Metro, relatively budget-friendly for Paris; clean, albeit a bit older accommodations CONS: slow, inconsistent Wifi; older building, small elevator, hotel transfer from CDG was not at airport upon arrival even though we confirmed with hotel days before arrival - called driver and found out he was unaware of the pickup and needed to wait for him to travel from central Paris out to pick us up

The hotel location is quite safe and the facilities are relatively new. The fixed room was initially thought to be a bit bigger, but the front desk was given a two-story building. Toiletries and hair dryers are available, remember to bring your own toothbrush and slippers. The bed was made up of two single beds. It was enough for two people to sleep, and the middle seam was not very separated.

The hotel is in a good location, the rooms are large and clean, new, and the public order is good. The hotel lobby is a glass sliding door. You need to swipe your room card to enter. The room was flat with 2 large boxes without pressure. The toilets are also very large. There are 2 sets of L'Occitane in a house, and a large bottle of mineral water is given away. Walk to the LV main store for 2 minutes, and make early purchase without pressure. It only takes 2 minutes to the Hermes George Avenue branch, and Bulgari is also nearby. If you want to buy luxury goods, you can put it back in the hotel before you continue. Do n’t worry about safety. 7-8 minutes walking distance to the Arc de Triomphe. The only bad thing is that the front desk called me at 10 o'clock in the morning on the day of check-out. This is a bad experience ... The hotel can help call a taxi to the airport. The hotel said the price was basically the same. The cafeteria and gym are located in B1. There is a Royal Treasure in the hotel, not sure if it is the same as Shanghai.

Such a great experience to be here. Easy to get to from the train station. Actually all subways in Paris are easy to navigate. The hotel is really close to everything, Eiffel, Champs Elysees, Arc de Triumph. And lots of Brasseries. Markets, bakeries and coffee shops. A safe neighbourhood. The room was great. Very comfortable beds. A breakfast is only $10EU each daily, far more cost effective than buying outside the hotel. Save your money for lunch or dinner. Lovely staff, so very friendly and helpful. I stayed at this hotel during my first trip to Paris in the 1990s. I continued to stay there every year until 2005, when I stopped traveling to Europe for a few years. In 2018 I returned to Paris and Hotel Emile under its new ownership. They had really done a lot to spruce up the hotel even before COVID 19. My husband and I love this hotel because of its great location. The metro is just across the street. There is a great cafe downstairs on the corner and a grocery store, pastry shop, boulangerie, fromagerie, librarie, etc. all within less than a 10 min walk. It is on the edge of the Marais, the best place in Paris for night time wanderings, in my opinion. And best of all, the hotel is clean and the staff is extremely friendly and helpful. There is a real warmth and family feeling at the hotel. I wouldn't change Hotel Emile for the Hotel Charles V!

There had been mix up over the dates of my booking, which was entirely my fault. The receptionist could not have been more helpful to resolve the situation. Although my booking had been fully pre-paid and was not in theory refundable, he could not have have been more helpful. I was very impressed; the room was fine as was the bathroom, although the facilities were a little basic. There is a funny lift which starts just above the first floor and goes almost to the top floor - which does not make luggage transfers too easy. However, as I have already stated service at the reception was second to none. Breakfast was included in the double room rate (large) of €129.00, which is a real bargain for a hotel in the 1st arrondissement of Paris. We enjoyed our stay here for a week - located just off the Jardin des Tuilleries.

A very cute hotel. We were in the bottom room, with windows that opened to the street. It was a little loud first thing in the morning or when other guest were rowdy due to being located right next to the lobby, but overall that was only the most minor of things we noticed. The bathroom was fantastic- heat towel rack, quality products, wonderful hot water/high pressure. Lots of closet/storage space. Seperate WC. the room was larger than we expected as well. Front desk was so friendly- greeted us each time we arrived, and were able to provide us ice on request (I tore my acl just before the trip, so needed ice regularly after a day of touring). I loved the writing desk in the morning sun- although the view was of the sidewalk, the transparent curtains we perfect for allowing in light while softening the view. The windows both had shutters inside to block out light/sound, and enough still space you could sit and read a book. Location was ideal...the Montmartre area is wonderful. Very close to the Blanche metro line, a short walk to two others. Although just two blocks from Moulin Rouge, absolutely no issues with noise or crazy crowds at night- in fact, it meant some great street food places were open late! Very near to bakeries, fruit stands cheesemonger, easy to grab something quick if you needed. Several cafes a stone throw away with perfect breakfasts and coffee. Near to Van Gough's apartment. A beautiful stroll to the love wall, sacred heart, dali museum and artist square- and thays with me being hobbled with my completely torn ACL! There is a secret food tour that starts and ends in the same area as the hotel to give you an idea of how wonderful all the nearby choices are for eating. 12/10 stay, would definitely stay at this location again. Lovely and clean hotel conveniently located just below Montmartre. The staff is very nice and helpful and managed to resolve all questions I might have had. The decor is quite nice, it has a cozy feeling. The breakfast is quite lovely, nice selection of french goodies, so definitely a plus. The only downside is reflected in the location: if you go to central Paris, you often go small for this price. So a single room gets the fun part of not being able to properly unpack my small hand luggage and the elevator is definitely designed for slender crowd. Would recommend and would stay again.

Excellent location, with 5, 6, 7 subways crossing. The room is small and basically adequate. For Chinese guests, the biggest benefit is that it is close to the Chinese community, Chinese restaurants and supermarkets have more choices, and apartment hotels with kitchens can also cook their own meals. The disadvantage is that the front desk of the hotel is slightly rigid. The air conditioner in my room does not heat, and the warranty for 2 days has not been resolved. Do not take Line 6 when returning. From the hotel, take a taxi to Denfert-Rochereau (approximately 7 minutes, 19 euros, 20 yuan). Denfert-Rochereau has an elevator to the airport RER line, so you do n’t have to carry your luggage up and down Off! Taxi in Paris is expensive, if the locals are at the airport-hotel, take a taxi to and from it * o * Next to the subway station there is a bakery and a small shop selling Kebab (Kebab, Middle Eastern food), which are all delicious! (Put a few photos of Kabab Kebab). The lobby on the first floor of the hotel is spacious with Cafe and bar. If you can't sleep at night, you can go downstairs for a cup of coffee or a small wine, which is very comfortable. The room is small, 12 square meters. The Ibis conditions are quite good, but the surrounding environment is too bad. When we heated the food at the front desk, because of the large amount of luggage, we managed poorly. We didn’t know when someone had taken a bag and was stolen some cash. One person ran back sweating and said that he saw someone taking our bag and he was chasing it back. Then we checked that the cash was gone. But the two of us were too stupid, and thanked each other. Later, the people around me should be the thief... Then we contacted the hotel right away, the hotel expressed anger, but we finally had no right to monitor even the monitoring, who did not know who to take How to get it, can't recover it. Although there are a lot of French policemen around the market looking at the market, everyone said it was useless. . Advantages. - Situated on Rue de Lyon near railway station. Close to Ledru Rollin metro station. Not far from Bastille square. - Hotel is very fresh because of its transformation from Adriatic Hotel to Locomo Hotel. Disadvantages - I payed for my stay a week before and had confirmation. But when I came to hotel, I needed to pay extra costs (taxes) - plus 5,64 euro. It could be more convenient to pay once, not two times. - Sound insulation could be better – you hear what your neighbor doing. Two nights I often was awake because of sounds of conditioner which switched on and off. - The outlet in the bathroom was poorly mounted. It was obvious after finishing drying hair. Also cabin walls were not convenient. - Not convenient elevator due to extra ladder steps on ground floor and upper floors Also I could not immediately find hangers but there were in the room. So I found them a little bit later. But I was satisfied with the hotel despite these disadvantages

First of all, the price is very favorable. I lived with a mix of men and women. I lived with girls. I felt very good and very safe. Will stay here next time in Paris, suitable for people who save money to travel alone.
