Look, the Hampton Inn Downtown St Pete is not The Ritz or the Four Seasons so if that is your lodging style, you are looking at the wrong place. If you are a Hilton lover then by all means stay here. Adhering to loads of Covid regulations we are very comfortable staying here and we have done our best to always stay here when in St. Pete. The location is right in the heart of active and enjoyable Downtown St Pete. We have stayed in rooms, deluxe rooms and junior suites and all rooms have been in good repair, immaculate, comfortable and right now very Covid safe. The staff are all very welcoming, polite, friendly, helpful and courteous. Great staff. So it’s not The Ritz but we give it five starts for a good stay time and time again.

We arrived around 9:00 pm for the start of a four night visit. The valet parking was a bit confusing due to conflicting services for restaurants and the hotel but we figured it out with some help. The front desk agent greeted us with a warm smile and a genuine welcome to The Birchwood. We received our key and information on the hotel and surrounding area. We inquired about eating diner and were told the main restaurant closes at 10:00pm but the roof top bar serves until 11:00. We had heard the Canopy bar is a special place so we decided to eat there. The place was packed with millennials and gen Z patrons due to Ladies Night. It was very loud, we had no place to sit except at the bar, which was not a bad place to sit. Our bartender/server we very helpful. We did not want bar food and the full service restaurant was closing in minutes. He showed us the menu and we ordered quickly. The food came up pretty fast and was tasty. Then we went to our room for the night. First impression, large, spacious, clean and well appointed. However, the street noise and music from the bar below and above was pretty loud and made falling asleep difficult until it stopped. We had agreed to an upgrade in order to have a view of the sunrise. We did face East but we were on the 2nd floor across from a waterfront park with lovely trees which blocked our view of the sunrise, disappointment # 2. We had early morning appointments a 40 minute drive from the hotel. We were informed breakfast would be served at 7:00am. The three days we went down for breakfast at 7:00am, not once was it out until 7:15am or later. Disappointment #3 was the breakfast itself. The choices were, bacon egg and cheese on an English muffin or French toast. Both were individually wrapped in foil. They did have breakfast energy bars, yogurt, bananas, and juice but I have had much better breakfast offerings at hotels half the price. For what was offered, why it couldn’t be out on time is concerning and not the same thing every day. Other than breakfast and the late night noise our stay was enjoyable. The hotel is in a great location with all major attractions, Dali, Pier, restaurants etc, walkable. The valet service was efficient but the front desk agent was the person to park and retrieve your car. This left the desk unattended for a long time, which we experienced on Sunday. The restaurant hostess should be cross trained to help the waiting guests.

This was my second visit to the Inn on Third. It's a totally pleasant laid-back property. The classic (some would foolishly say "dated") ambience is fully comfortable. Stephanie & Brian go out of their way to make the Inn friendly and functional. Nice simple breakfast, happy hour later on, garage parking across the street are all included in the modest rate. My room had a beautifully updated bathroom with a dual-head shower, grab bars, an antique pedestal sink, and was spotlessly clean. With better towels than at my most recent Marriot stay. My big disappointment is that my favorite eating spot from two years ago -- Locale -- had closed. But there is plenty of good food in DTSP, on funky Central Avenue or touristy Beach Boulevard.

The hotel is first class in charm and service. The location is picture perfect; it is walking distance to a beautiful downtown experience including parks, museums, and lots of fantastic restaurants for any budget. Spend the day at the downtown beach (on Tampa Bay)& park, or take in lots of shopping at the local businesses. We spent 2 weeks there and only used the car to go to St Pete Beach one day and a Hockey game in Tampa another day.

We had a wonderful experience this past week at the Vinoy. I love historic hotels, but was persuaded by previous reviews to stay in new Tower. So we did and loved it. Externally, they designed the new Tower to look similar to the original hotel and they did a good job of that. The room was well appointed. The balcony was a good size and the chairs were reasonably comfortable. At first the chairs looked uncomfortable, but I was able to sit, relax, and read a book. The bed and pillows were luxurious. They even had a Keurig coffee maker. As expected some things were missing due to the Covids... no room service (bummer) and no one to make the beds, which I didn't miss. But, it would have been nice if they could have brought fresh cups for coffee, because the cups were pretty ugly after the first use. They have a restaurant by the pool, Pauls, and the food and service are great. They have the option of indoor or outdoor seating and because of the Covids, we opted for outdoor seating. The server was very nice and opened an umbrella for us. The location of the hotel CANNOT BE BEAT. We were right downtown overlooking the new pier and near cornucopia of restaurants. Additionally, there are two museums near the hotel and several art stores. They have a nice pool with water aerobics (which I attended) 3 days a week and a nice gym. They also have a spa with massages, but I did not partake. So, the only downside is that it cost $25/day to park our car. In other words, the hotel rate is actually $25 more than you are quoted. Overall.... I will definitely stay again.

We had seen this Days Inn a number of times when visiting my mother in Saint Petersburg, but had some incorrect assumptions about parking, etc, and had not stayed there (we stayed at their sister Days Inn a mile or so up 34th St. North) We decided to try it on our last trip and were pleasantly surprised. Our room was clean and neat , and the Manager (Ash) and staff (especially Carrie) were excellent in all respects.(including allowing us to check out a couple of days early after the family member we ere visiting passed away & we had to leave earlier than we had planned). The attitude and behavior of the other guests at this one seemed much more low key and well behaved that what we had had been used to.. When we come to St. Pete again, this is where we will stay !

My aunt was dying of cancer, and I had to take my elderly, handicapped mom to visit. Coronavirus was making everything different, but the staff bent over backwards to help my mom and me. They were always opening doors, getting us extra towels to help with mom's medical needs even though I know Coronavirus was throwing off their routine. No continental breakfast because of new restrictions, but when I was late to get juice, the lady put back in the type I wanted.

St Petersburg and its surrounding areas, Indian Rocks, Treasure Island, Madeira Beach are lovely to enjoy the great weather, excellent tennis courts and fresh seafood. The weather is fabulous at high 70's-mid 80's daily even with a bit of morning sprinkles of rain. We stayed at the Magnuson Marine Cove which had 2 pools(1 heated) and hot tub and tennis court (unlit). The place served as a pleasant quiet night base. There is nothing fancy about the place but it is conveniently located. Henry at the front desk is very helpful. Its location near 275 highway allowed us to explore many other beach towns and the best site for our family was the Botanical Garden at Largo as well as the sister site of Heritage Village. Both of these were free and well kept. The fresh air with educational value is ideal for a relaxing day trip.

To summarize this hotel in one word, I would say: cleanliness. Yes, I am talking about clean rooms, clean corridors, clean lobby and also in the breakfast room as it was being permanently monitored by its crew.. Other positive features I can recall were: fast check-in procedure, comfortable beds, plenty of towels available, wifi signal (no breakdowns), assorted TV channels in the room, microwave oven and fridge, the latter, of a larger size than a typical hotel room minibar. Also the power of the air conditioning in the room was so strong that from time to time we opted to turn off the system for a while. That said needless to say we are talking about a "no frills" lodging, and its location might not be the best place to stay if the main purpose is to go visiting beaches along the Gulf Coast, or downtown Tampa for that matter, (but this limitation should not be a serious issue when a car is available, as the Gulf Coast is less than 25 minutes away.) .A quick search will retrieve many lodgings along the Gulf Coast Road and close to Gulf coast beaches, but bear in mind that this competitive edge is not available for free; rates skyrocket the closer you are to the beach area; so for travellers on a budget as it was our case, the option was crystal clear.. Other incidental comments: some packs of frozen food for purchase are available at the lobby, as well as a limited amount of ice cream flavors, for travelers arriving late after a busy day. What else does a average traveler like us could need?

This hotel is too poor, and will never live again! ! The environment is not bad, but the service is too bad. Let me have a fire during my stay. My girlfriend and I don't like it very much. At the beginning of the check-in, let us prompt you to order the card on the Internet when you booked the hotel, saying that there are many credit card frauds in Miami. I canceled my room without taking the card. Later I needed to re-swipe my card with my own card. My UnionPay card has been brushed twice for 500$ bank display deduction, they also said that it did not pass, I want to use Visa or Master. It’s been a long time to stay. Then at the front desk, the staff stepped on the foot. I was wearing beach slippers and was directly trampled. In the end, I did not apologize and gave me a band-aid. I still can't stick it. You need to go to the pharmacy to buy a band-aid. Finally, my girlfriend forgot a pajamas in the room, called back, and they did not help to find out directly. In short, stayed a stomach fire. There is no five-star service at this hotel. The environment is good, but it is enough to drink, eat and eat. Living here is not very worth it! It is better to go to a branded hotel and the service is good. We regret that we didn't live in the next door, the service is better, and the lobby looks like a higher grade.

Pool area was lovely. Beach was nice but the guys did not set up chairs/ umbrellas until almost 10 when morning can be loveliest time. Umbrellas $22 a day. Parking $44 a day plus valet tips. Ordered a “house cab” at the pool bar and was charged $20 which did not include 20% tip nor service charge, coffee in the morning pricey and usually entailed waiting in a long line so incidentals added up very very quickly costing more than the original room bill though we went off site for most of the time for meals. Food there was good. There is construction in the front of the hotel which makes it problematic every time you drive out or back. One way traffic creeps along requiring you to come in, pass the hotel, attempt a u-turn several blocks down and creep back slowly in a perpetual traffic jam to arrive at the front of the hotel. Room was immaculate and well tended though stairwells a bit trashy. Loved the music there on the weekends, excellent food and lovely pool tho. Staff very accommodating too. Those made it a real escape from reality.

I live in PH on the 16th floor, facing the sea, but unfortunately I can't see the panoramic sunrise from the balcony. The beach is very long and the sea view is beautiful. The room is very large, especially the bathroom, but the facilities are a bit outdated, especially the sofa is not clean. The most regrettable thing is that the bathroom door does not block the water. Taking a shower will flood the Jinshan Mountains, and it is easy to slip and fall when going to the toilet. Be sure to check the bill carefully when checking out. The hotel deducted $52 for an extra day of parking.

The hotel with more than 4 stars in South Beach is very expensive. This hotel has a history of more than 70 years. The rooms are small, the facilities are good, and the rules are quite satisfactory. Have your own pool and private beach. Beach loungers can be used free of charge, beach umbrellas or pergola are rented, 20+, 40+ respectively. The hotel has a holiday tax of 30+ per night. The customer service of the beach is very good, and the beach chairs are covered with bath towels. The beach also has a hotel's beverage service. There are a lot of small supermarkets around, very convenient, small restaurants in the neighborhood, shopping. Shopping is mostly sports equipment.

Super satisfied, we arranged the top floor room facing the sea. It is also very friendly to dogs, and also gave them a big welcome package. The hotel facilities are very good, although not very intelligent, but also make people feel comfortable. The only minor flaw was that the bed was too soft and I really couldn't adapt. Also, there are Indians doing weddings these days, all of them live on our floor, it is too noisy to come back at midnight. Everything else is perfect!
