We had an Apartment on the top floor. The Hotel rooms are on the first floor, on the 2nd floor you have The Royal Piazza then the next 2 floors are the Central Square Heritage apartments which is very confusing when you are booking rooms. We loved the location very convenient for site seeing and not a bad walk to Bacvice Beach although I would recommend walking to Trstenika Beach which is much nicer... various beach clubs, much cleaner and the sea is turquoise. The apartment decor is stunning very ornate, all the staff are English speaking and can’t do enough for you. We arranged a transfer prior to our arrival and it was very efficient. There are numerous restaurants and Bars surrounding the hotel so no problem finding somewhere to have breakfast. The square the hotel is situated in gets very busy at night but no problem with noise. I would love to return and wish we could have stayed longer

My partner and I booked a 5 night stay at the Spolato Luxury Rooms 11-16 Sept 2019. In advance, reception were kind enough to send over walking instructions from the Rivera to the Reception (as the rooms are located in old town, this is pedestrian only area). They did offer to book a cab from the airport for us, however we chose to use Uber which works out cheaper! I definitely reccomend using Uber, and put in your loto be dropped at the Rivera as this is a short 5-7 min walk to the reception. Reception were rather helpful responding to questions in advance, such as do the rooms have a hair dryer? (of which they do, a small travel style one). Nicola our lovely host met us at reception, offered to carry our luggage on the short walk to our room. (It is noted the rooms are located in a square in the old town, it is as advertised more an apartment style than hotel). The room on arrival was clean and well presented. A safe is in the wardrobe. The bed was SUPER comfy and the room came with a great mirror and dressing table area. Bathroom has great shower and includes little lavender toiletries from a local spa (lavender is popular in split as it is grown here). Thought that was a nice touch! A kettle and teabags were provided, but NO COFFEE which was disappointing, so we filled up at breakfast! Nicola gave us a map and circled out key locations for us, such as the location of the local restaurant that includes your breakfast, and where to go to look at excursions he recommended etc which was very useful! As mentioned, breakfast is located in a local restaurant a short 2 minute walk from the rooms. A lovely restaurant with both indoor and outdoor seating. Offerings are of a breakfast buffet, however our waiter was kind enough every morning to make eggs fresh on order as a little extra (scrambled/omlette/with bacon etc whatever you want). The buffet includes a selection of hot and cold sausages and ham/salami meats, fresh chopped tomatoes/cucumber, cheeses, sliced brown and white crusty bread, hard boiled eggs, mixed vegetables, fruit salad, cereals, yoghurts, mini cakes, jams, juices, homemade smoothies and tea/coffee. We were sceptical based on reviews before our trip, however I and my partner were very satisfied with both the food and service! If this is not the style of food you like - either book a hotel or opt out of breakfast! There are many local establishments to the rooms that offer breakfast menus, we stayed with the inclusion as we enjoyed it so! The same waiter looked after us every day, got to know our orders and was one of the best waiters we dealt with while our trip in split! Overall we had a fantastic stay and you really cannot beat the location. You are a stones throw away from EVERYTHING and it meant we had less travel time and more activity time throughout our stay. HIGHLY recommended! Thank you Nicola and the Spalato Rooms!

We were in awe of this beautiful hotel. we stayed here during our family vacation to split, Croatia. We were picked up at the airport by an arranged transfer from the hotel. The driver was extremely kind. We were greeted at the hotel by extremely friendly staff and knowledgeable concierge willing to help us plan our entire trip. The rooms were spacious and beautiful. The decor was elegant and tasteful. The beds were incredibly comfortable. We had an amazing stay at the Piazza heritage hotel and would recommend staying here to any family or friends.

The people running this hotel couldn't be kinder and more attentive! I checked in to this place a day later than expected due to my own error and the owners were so awesome about it, even getting my room ready early just so I could minimize the check out time from my other hotel and their check in time. The hotel itself is modern, well decorated with nice amenities and comfortable beds. The rooms were also spotless! One problem with any old city is noise from people below bouncing off the narrow streets and up in to the living areas. Tourists need to be mindful of this when they travel and realize that people live above them and can hear everything you say, especially when you're wasted drunk yelling at someone next to you, that you just met at a bar that you're in love with them...for 3 hours. This unfortunately happened to me here until 5am. No fault of the owners and the hotel, and clearly by the reviews this is not commonplace. This was just a very loud obnoxious American girl (I know this because of the detailed conversation) and her 5 friends. The only downfall that I found to this place is that it is on the 4th floor (3rd floor Euro standards) with no lift. I am fine with this as it is similar to where I live, but I post this in case you or someone you travel with have difficulty with a lot of steps. Knowing how kind the staff/owners are, I am sure they could arrange help though. Overall summary is this place is a nice, clean and modern hotel in a great location. Definitely consider it as an option. My next trip will be on an interior room.

We loved out stay here at Rooms Lejletul. Great Location - could not have picked a better spot if we tried. Yes there is not exact drop off, however a 300 meter walk down a light filled street to your apartment block is not too much to ask, when the entire town has a no car allowance. Beautiful Rooms - they were super stylish using local Croatia furniture designers. Wonderful, kind and helpful hosts. No elevator could be a problem, however they were kind enough to help us with our suitcases...it's a 13th century town... it's true to it's roots. Great bakeries across the street, few minute walk to the Riviera with shops, restaurants, cafes, fresh juices. Could not praise this location and room enough. We really enjoyed our stay, we are just sorry we did not stay longer!

Villa Olea is located right in the City center, so i’d give it a 10/10 for location. The accommodation is built inside a monument due to which there is not elevator and you have to take the stairs to reach the place but the staff member Vera was extremely helpful and helped us lift our bags up the stairs. The reception smells amazing, and lifts the mood instantly Vera also checked us in really quickly and when we asked her for recommendations, she guided us extremely well with places to visit, restaurants, hidden gems of the city etc. The rooms were clean and comfortable.

Ok - to make it easy - you check in at the Hotel Marmont - about 20 metres away as this property does not have its own Reception, but don’t let that put you off in any way - it is super easy and they are extremely helpful and friendly there! They take your luggage up the stairs for you and those good people also bring it all down again when you leave. (3 flights but no-where near as fierce as other reviewers would have you believe!) If you are coming from a cruise ship - take my advice and call Hotel Marmont and book their golf cart pick up - directly from the ship - otherwise you will have to drag yr bags as there are no cars allowed in old town (the golf cart was 60 kuna and worth every penny for the ease, plus it was cool!!) Hotel rooms are huge, comfy and with lovely bathrooms - all in the heart of the Old Town. Special mention for the delicious breakfast (included) - with lots of great breakfast options! If you have the budget, the Hotel Marmont looked really lovely too, hope this review helps...!

I will always give a true review on here as I rely on them when booking anywhere. Location: the hotel couldn't be in a better location 3 min walk from where a taxi will drop you off , 2 min walk to the Riva, the Palace, game of thrones museum all within 1 min walk and restaurants bars and shops on your door step. The building and rooms : like most of the old town in split the buildings are very old , this hotel is one of the very few if not the only one with an elevator in it, the rooms are absolutely fantastic keeping with the old building but very bright and modern too, every facility is of top quality, I travel a lot and this place was just outstanding. Breakfast: was very nice well presented you had a good range of things to eat and drink The staff: their friendliness was amazing from check in yo check out every member of staff where do helpful, we had our 85 year old mother with us, we went on to the beach and Philip in reception went out of his way to take my mother and get her into a taxi to join us, nothing was too much for the staff or in fact Croatian people in general. I couldn't find fault with anything, the only thing is check out is 1030am and like most flights are in the evening its then a long day. They have a male and female bathroom to get changed in but no shower etc they will keep your luggage beside reception for you . My next visit and I will be going back i will just book the room for an extra day as check out 1030 am flight 2130 pm with an elderly mother its a long day. I give this hotel 10 out 10 Thank you very much

Great location; room comfort and nice modern look and owner and wife's help and welcoming attitude are the benefits to stay here. As others are said, yes the building is quite old without elevator, but for us, it was not an issue and just trespassing the main door you are impressed with the nice modern look they got for their hotel.

The hotel is not in the old city on the edge of the old city, but because the old city is not big, it is very convenient to visit the old city. It takes a few minutes to go anywhere, and the hotel has its own parking space. The decoration is new and modern, the bathroom in the room is also very large, and the bath water is very comfortable. The biggest highlight is the large terrace on the top floor, with several jacuzzis, still warm water, and overlooking the old city, the scenery is invincible. Breakfast is not enough

My family and I traveled all through Croatia, staying in 6 different locations and this hotel was by far my favorite! From the moment we arrived in Split we felt very well taken care of... from Ivan arranging a car to pick us us at the car rental location, to drinking the delicious and homemade liquor (and chocolates!) upon arrival, to having our luggage taken to our room on the third floor, to the delicious included breakfasts, to the sweet conversations with the small staff, to the soft sheets, clean, large and well appointed bathrooms, (just writing this review makes me want to go back!), to the excellent private walking tour arranged for our family, to Ivan escorting us with our luggage to the ferry terminal and putting it on the boat for us and taking the time to find our girls to say goodbye who had gone to find seats, to just being in the center of Split and not even realizing it since it was quiet and peaceful- it was all magnificent! I wish we could have stayed in Split longer because I loved the energy of the city and the Palace and the thoughtful and kind staff at Heritage Hotel Cardo. Thank you so much for helping make Split so memorable for us.

We spent five days at the Heritage and could not have been more comfortable. Our room was a bit small (my wife joked that we could only open one suitcase at a time) but beautifully furnished and appointed. The location inside the palace was ideal for our purposes. A left turn out the front door takes visitors to Diocletian's cellars while a right turn leads to modern shops and restaurants, and the Game of Thrones Museum. The hearty breakfast buffet provided all the fuel we needed for a day of adventure and the staff was more than ready to meet every need. The Heritage would be my first choice if returning to Split.

We stayed at All Suites Hotel Posh for five nights last summer—it was absolute heaven. The Hotel: The hotel has a pleasant, innovative design-look to it, in-door parking, a small but wonderful infinity pool with a built-in jacuzzi area & swim jets, lots of pool towels available, and plenty of comfortable outdoor seating to enjoy the magnificent views of the Adriatic sea. At night this area is lit up by gas fires that make it very romantic. While the hotel has no restaurant, it offers a well-appointed breakfast & a full-time bar service. The suite (I think it was the Glam) we stayed in was luxurious, well-appointed & comfortable: a comfortable bedroom with a good bed & plenty of pillows, a large outdoor terrace, a fully equipped kitchen, a living & dining area, two toilets & a bathroom with shower—all of which had plenty of closet space. Importantly, the room was clean, the water pressure excellent & the air-conditioning systems (bedroom separate from the living space) worked perfectly. So far, so good. We are accustomed to pay for luxury but often get disappointed by annoying or missing details—not this time. Everything was perfect. The Location: The hotel is situated in a quiet neighborhood, about a 15 minute drive from Split old city center. Getting an Uber or taxi is not a problem at all. There are several restaurants at walking distance from the hotel, however the roads are slightly hilly & many do not have sidewalks, or the sidewalks are obstructed by parked cars. Note that having a full kitchen offers the possibility of indoor dining & food delivery can be arranged as well. The neighborhood restaurants I recommend are Dvor restaurant, chic outdoor dining, a 15-minute walk. Closer by is Barkarola restaurant, which is more casual. Both have sea views & excellent food. The Beach: The All Suites Hotel Posh has a backdoor that allows guests to exit the premises on the seaside. Towards the left, you’ll find a long flight of steps down to a pebble beach frequented mostly by locals. It’s a quiet beach in a little bay with lovely crystalline water, perfect for snorkeling. Take a bit of bread to lure the fish to you. This beach has shower facilities & a bar that serves drinks, including water in plastic cups (no bottles), but there are no places to get a quick sandwich so bring everything you need along with you. We liked it, while it’s not a beach for long walks, it was clean & the water perfect. The only drawback was having to take the stairs upwards again, so this is only recommended for those who are mobile & have stamina. Things to do: Besides going into old town Split with its rich history, we also booked a private boat tour with Toni Goles (Absolut Charter) who took us to several wonderful places during the day, including Trogir (UNESCO World Heritage Site), Drvenik Veliki (snorkeling in the Blue Lagoon, absolutely lovely) & Nečujam (snorkeling above a ship wreck). But we mostly enjoyed the peaceful quiet luxury of the hotel, l

Think of the Mak Luxury Rooms as a top-notch AirBnB just outside the centre of Split. It’s a perfect base from which to explore this beautiful and historic city. The owner of the property, Karlo, could not have been more helpful throughout our stay. He even organised a taxi to the airport and met us to help with luggage on our final day. Rooms are fresh, bright, and modern with huge comfortable beds. The entrance to the property is a little dark and creepy – but don’t let that put you off as it’s completely unrepresentative of the property itself. The Mak Luxury Rooms miss out on a five star rating for just a couple of reasons: either we were sharing the property with some extremely loud people (doesn’t help that we were next door to the kitchen, in Olive room) or the walls are very thin. Having noticed that a guest in a previous review described the property as very quiet, I think perhaps we were just unlucky on this occasion. The second reason for my four-star rating is breakfast. This is taken at a small hotel, the Diana, just a couple of minutes away from the property. Unfortunately the breakfast offering was extremely disappointing (my dietary requirements don’t help but even my partner’s breakfast wasn’t great). It’s worth mentioning that the owner of the Diana was friendly and welcoming. (Finally, it definitely didn’t help that Karlo’s cleaner thought I was pregnant – at 49, I bloody well hope not! – when I was just suffering the bloating effects of eating wheat. Ouch 😂)

The room is beautifully renovated with modern furniture and decorations. The bed is really comfortable. The location is great to walk around the city. However, if you are a light sleeper, this is not for you. The host, Anna was great to make us feel comfortable, though traffic noise all night bothered me a lot. Some people might not notice if you fall asleep but the location is right in front of the street where all the traffic actions are going on. I tried to sleep but cars and motorbikes were passing by with engine noise and wake me up every single time. When we travel in Europe, accommodations right next to the street usually have double layered windows and it would be much better if it was the case. The AC is very quiet and modern but it is installed on the wall right in front of curtains. If you close the curtains, they completely block the AC. We managed to rolled the curtain up with heavy objects so the room temperature is comfortable to sleep. The place has a great potential and the host Anna is a great communicator and helper but details are not throughly considered. It is a good place to stay in Split. I’m a very detail oriented and sensitive person so my review can be subjective.
