We were in town for UNC Chapel Hill family weekend. The hotel was perfect and close to so many things. We were able to walk to dinner, to the walking/running trails and to a cute coffee shop. The hotel was spotless and the rooms were perfect. Having a couch and sitting area was great for the down time we had between events. Will definitely stay again!

The bed is large, the parking is free, the hotel is very convenient to travel in the city center, it can be used as the preferred hotel, because there is no free bus to rent a car, F Street food is also a lot.

I understand this hotel has recently been renovated, and its quite fresh inside. The first impression is quite positive as you enter the lobby. Most of the front office staff are friendly and quite nice. At check in, the lady helping me signed me up for daily service to your room without me asking (apparently, if you don't request it, they don't make up your room) The room is small, but good. Comfortable bed, good linens. BIG tv, clean bathroom - what you would expect from a newly refurbished hotel. Then came actually staying there. This didn't go so well. The first night we had a blackout for a few hours. This was a planned blackout from Duke Power's website. Nobody informed the guests. There is zero power to the bedroom, during a blackout, even emergency lighting. The internet shuts down, and even the phone system at the front desk shuts down! (I tried to call from an outside number on my phone and just got a busy signal). If there had been a real emergency, there was no way to get help (other than go into the hallway and scream I guess). Elevators didn't work (of course) so from a high floor, reaching someone in the hotel was pretty much impossible. Marriott Bonvoy promised to connect me to a manager to express my concerns. The front desk officer took my room number and promised that a manager would address my concerns. That never happened. The next night, the HVAC system got stuck on blowing hot air into the rooms. I had to open the balcony doors to get some relief. I imagine people without windows/doors that opened probably suffered through it. Nobody came to service my room as per my request - until my final day when I had a do not disturb sign on the door. Bam bam bam. I tried to ignore it. Bam bam bam. Finally I answered, and she asked when I was checking out. Breakfast in the executive lounge is very industrial with big metal tubs of eggs, potatoes and bacon. Much worse than the Comfort Inn roadside motel I stayed at before this. Clean and fresh only get you so far.

Charlotte Price front office manager accomplished this for us! A poor check-in experience one day turned into a GR8 experience the next days! Charlotte listened to our concerns when we met her the 2nd day and made an effort to meet our needs. We’re frequenters of this location. Also Yolanda @ the food service bistro is another superior long term employee, she always has a smile and a “can do” cheerful attitude. We’ll be back! We dislike Marriott’s impersonal off-site phone in reservation system. It needs to be re-evaluated by corporate! Best always to try to speak directly with an on-site Marriott front desk person when requesting specific room needs!

Sending children to school, the hotel is very close to UNC, about 10 minutes walk to the old well, there is a supermarket every other street, things are quite complete, the hotel staff is very friendly, the important thing is that the room is comfortable and the bed is very comfortable, the hotel Provide some toiletries, slippers should bring your own.

The hotel address is at the campus of North Carolina Chapel Hill. It is very inconspicuous and it is very satisfying to walk in. The front desk is warm and can help with luggage storage. The decoration style is typical of the southern features, and the corridors are filled with photos and introductions of many well-known university graduates. The hotel is also a good place for weddings and high-end gatherings. The decoration is very detailed and has been around for a long time, but it is still well maintained. Easy parking and a few minutes walk to nearby restaurants. The soundproofing effect of the room is a bit poor, but it does not affect the rest.

You will really love this Residence Inn and everything about it. Let’s start with a truly fantastic breakfast (world’s best ever scrambled eggs, sausage, turkey patties, oatmeal with all the toppings, yogurts, pastries, bagels, even individual milk cartons, fat free and 2%, bananas/green apples). There is a good-sized fitness room with machines and free weights/bench, stretching mats. Laundry room ($1 wash/1.50 dry) is spotless, located at the elevator on the 2nd (of 3 floors). There’s even a laundry basket in your room, which is a very nice traveler-friendly perk from this hotel. Navigating the grounds might seem tricky, but only at first — as the lobby structure connects the rest of the hotel but only at one end. Depending on where your room is, you might take the elevator and then maneuver all the way around to the far end of the hotel. But you will really enjoy the grounds, which are beautifully-manicured with a sparkling outdoor pool. You can walk all around the grounds, which includes plentiful parking. We found our 2-bedroom/2-bath suite (Room 329, a King, 2 Queens) to be very spacious at 713’, with screened windows that opened for a breeze throughout the unit — and provided a spectacular view of nature everywhere you looked (geese, turtles swimming in a pond, even a group of 6 deer sipping from the same waterway). Some units have ovens, but not all. Thanks so much for a great stay, GM Dale. And also kudos to Kyle on the Front Desk who graciously helped us get settled in. This is a Marriott you will want to come back to again and again. We can’t wait for our next visit.

The hotel is the conference center of the North Carolina State University Chapel Hill Business School. The lobby is on the second floor and breakfast is on the first floor. Free breakfast, orange juice and coffee were great, the waiter took the initiative and asked how many times there was any need. There is an outdoor swimming pool and it is beautiful. There is a self-service laundry room and a business center, as well as self-cooked soft drinks with popcorn and three types of ice cream. There are walking trails around, and the environment is very good. Within ten minutes by car from the university's main campus. This business school is located in a high-end residential area, near Harris Teeter supermarket and fresh taro.

We needed a last minute hotel after our reservation at the Hyatt Place in Durham was not honored due to a Friends/Family pass that was not honored. Found Hampton Inn with a good rate on Booking. My son had a scholarship interview at UNC-Chapel Hill early the next morning and was getting anxious after a long flight with no place to stay. Those the best rate was for a king bed, our room ended up being a king suite with a door separating the sofa bed from the king bedroom. He was very happy with the accommodations and so was I. He got to have his own room and so did I.
