0.8km from Pizzeria CarissimiOutside, the hotel is just another old town building. As it is situated by the railway station, we really did not expect a good night's sleep. But it was quite pleasant in the end. The lobby is not very big and the elevator is a miniature one. The room was not very spacious, but well furnished and we did not really miss anything. The balcony was questionable, small, somewhat uncertain-looking, beat up, but there were flowers in the pot adorning it. And it enabled a wonderful view of the old tower, one of the characteristic sights of Metz, standing very close to the hotel. The bathroom was very comfortable. Traffic was quite heavy under our balcony and window. Although the windows were shaped in an old-fashioned way, really beautiful, they must have been glazed recently, because they kept out all the noise of the traffic. The room was air-conditioned (and the air-conditioning really worked!). We only had breakfast at the hotel and it was really good, with plenty of choice. As this is not really true of all French hotels, I was quite pleased with this one.
