Nice and spacious hall, pleasant receptionists (the young lady especially). Room clean and nicely decorated, but not too big. Unfortunately the mattresses were a bit too soft. The room temperature was rather warm which meant we had to sleep with the windows (holes in blinds) open ultimo October/primo November. Taxi to the centre approximately 15 EUR. Food at the restaurant fine like the breakfast buffet offered a good variety of food.

This hotel near the autostrada on the western edge of town offers free parking and from the hotel it’s one bus trip of about 20 minutes to the heart of Verona. The front desk can give you a bus timetable, a map of where to catch it nearby and can even sell you bus tickets. The only problem is that we forgot to ask where to get off the bus on the way back to the hotel from town, so we ended up missing the stop and had to hike back about 10 minutes! Rooms are normal size for Italy but the bathroom was huge and so far the shower has been the best we have experienced on this trip to Italy - ie no fluctuation in temperature or volume of water. Breakfast has a wide variety of continental dishes, but no hot food. You won’t go hungry and there are lots of tables to sit at, even when the hotel is very busy. The two people clearing the tables and restocking the food did an admirable job!

We had a party of two adults and two children and stayed here for four nights. We had booked through a travel operator. Hotel was very clean and comfortable. When we arrived there was no tea and coffee facilities in our room but we discovered that this was probably the fault of our travel agent who said that there was. However hotel staff arranged for us to have a kettle tea and coffee to our room. Comfortable beds, nice bath/shower room serviced daily. Lovely air conditioning. Would regard bedroom decor as somewhat outdated in comparison to the bathroom. We were on the 1st floor as we requested to be low down due to our youngest being scared of heights. Breakfast substantial. Kids liked the pancakes! Coffee was good and I personally enjoyed the selection of bread rolls and cold meats. Staff friendly especially a black female waitress who was very sweet and kind- did not get her name unfortunately. Was abit disappointed by the location - we were on foot and this hotel is in a suburban location - just two minutes away from a supermarket. Taxi cost 40 euro to the airport but bus stop very near by. I was led to believe we would be in the city centre- but again this is probably the wrong advice from the travel operator whom we booked. Shame there was no pool in the hotel - however there is a members club you can use the facilities of locally and we did that instead. Full WiFi included which was a bonus! And appreciated by our teenager! I had a couple of drinks in the bar which were very reasonable - my partner was shocked about the tourist tax at the end - we had paid outright through our travel operator - or so they had told us, but again we hadn’t been aware of this but that aside- All in all a pleasant stay. Thanks!

The Hotel is nice. Stuff are friendly. Rooms are clean and they have a nice balcony. They have a parking outside the Hotel and for 10€ a day an underground parking. There is a bus station opposite the Hotel and in 20 min you are in Verona Centrum. Breakfast was fine but the omelette and bacon were too cold. We had dinner in the Hotel and the food was really good and not expensive.

We stayed for two days and we felt like home! The receptionist was very polite and very helpful. She provided us with a map and marked all the sightseeings we had to see during our staying!!! She also recommended to buy breakfast from Aldi store, which was about 100-200 meters away from the residence. And so we did! You can find every kind of snacks in great prices! We couldn't believe that with 1.5€ you could buy sweet and saulty snack (donuts*2 and cheese snack)!!! In terms of room comfort, we were really pleased!!! Nice kitchenette with all amenities. Boiling device, oven, fridge, freezer. Also, a comfy dinning table and of course a large bed with extra pillows as I had asked!!! The toilet was ok but big. It was equipped with washing machine and guess what else...! A washing dose and softener!!! Wow!!! Didn't expected it!!! Overall, i can say that it was a value of money!!! And let me tell you one last hint. It is near the train station and very close to the entrance of the city!In my opinion, it is preferred to reach the center of the city on foot as to check by yourself the local stores! If you are not a walking type, you can buy bus tickets from the tobacco store, about 100-150 meters from the residence, 30-50 meters before the city entrance!

We are just settling down for our last night in wonderful Verona in this lovely guest house. The guest house is simple but nicely decorated and within a ten minute walk to the main part of Verona. The staff have all been very helpful and courteous throughout and have tips and suggestions and were to eat and drink. The little things make all the difference for shirt stays like this. In the room is a fridge stocked with water, fruit, yogurts, soft drinks and some alcohol (alcohol at a modest extra cost). There are also snacks and a good coffee machine to use. There is even perfume and aftershave in the bathroom should you have forgotten to bring any! Breakfast is delivered to your door ever morning and has been a good start to the day. Close between crossings and pastries or a ham and cheese style breakfast. A great base to explore the city and have a nice nights sleep. Me and my wife would stay again. Thank you.

We should have booked this in the first place! After arriving in Verona to find our original booked hotel no longer existed, we booked Veronetta House very last minute (whilst stood outside the front door). Despite our unexpected and very last minute arrival. we were made to feel so welcome and could check in early, leaving our bags and cooking ourselves with the lovely air conditioning. Excellent restaurant recommendations and providing us with a print out of the story of Carmen which we had booked to see that night were great extras. The location was ideal near the river, quiet at night but close to the Piazza and arena. The room itself was quiet, cool and comfortable with so many extra little touches (perfume, a mobile phone to take with you and complimentary soft drinks etc) which made out stay so relaxing. Breakfast was a bonus with so much attention to detail and there really was something for everyone! A beautiful house with a fantastic host. We thoroughly recommend. Thank you.

My partner and I stayed at Piano Tre over the weekend and we cannot quite put into words in how welcomed we felt by Sabina and the superb accommodation Piano Tre has to offer. We were welcomed with open arms by Sabina who kindly let us drop off our bags (as we had a very early flight) so we could explore the beautiful city. Sabina showed and recommended us everything you will need or want to know about the city. We also were able to communicate throughout our stay via WhatsApp to ask any questions if needed (this really helped as we needed assistance in arranging a visit to Venice for the day). Sabina made our trip so special and cannot imagine our stay without her friendliness and assistance. The room has everything you could need, Hairdryer, Coffee Machine, Water, TV, Snacks (included), full length mirror and so much more. It’s practical, in a great location (walking distance to literally everything) and has a minimal, chic boutique style and cleaned everyday (if you would like). If you ever get the chance to visit this beautiful Italian City I would highly recommend booking at the Piano Tre!!!!!!

We had room 1 with lovely small balcony for one week. Effortless check in and lovely to find water and a good bottle of Prosecco waiting in the fridge. Plenty of coffee pods. Unusually there is a kettle if you prefer tea. The location was unbeatable being a ten minute very pleasant walk over the lovely river into the historic centre. We loved the walk and the views down the river with so many ancient landmarks and monumental churches. We could have stayed a month and still had much to explore. Nicola, the super super host, explained the locality perfectly. We were totally immersed and lived like Veronians, buying gorgeous bread and croissants from the bakery around the corner, shopping in the farmers market for lovely fresh fruit and vegetables, amazing cheeses and everything we needed including the local wines so reasonably priced. the apartment is equipped with everything we needed and we did cook two or three times because it was fun to do so listening to La Traviata to prepare for the opera we were there for with the balcony doors open. You will hear a lot of church bells which we adore. When we did eat out there was so much choice and we took Nicola’s suggestions and were delighted. We loved though, strolling home, to go into the ice cream shop at the end of the street so much choice and some milk free choices. We totally loved the apartment, beautiful bed linen changed every 3 days, luxury towels every 2 days. The 16th century building is bagged with atmosphere having been ever so sympathetically restored by Nicola himself with a contemporary twist but the evidence is there with those frescoes and timber ceilings. Nicola was more than happy to arrange our dinner reservation and taxis to the arena for the opera and also a very early taxi on the day of our departure. Everything went like clockwork. We found Nicola to be a perfect refined Italian gentleman with very good English and really one of the most hospitable hosts we’ve come across and we’re are very well travelled. We really want to return to this home from home. It was perfect.

My partner and I stayed for three nights at Filippini Apartment 3 in October 2018. The apartment was excellent - very spacious, attractive, well equipped and well located. Generous breakfast supplies are provided, which is a nice touch. Our only problem was with customer service. We travel a great deal and we always stay in apartments rather than hotels for the independence and flexibility apartments provide. Because we often come and go at different times, I always request two sets of keys. I did this in writing several months in advance when I made the booking with the Best Western Armando Hotel, which manages the Filippini Apartments. We understood that we would have to check in at the Hotel. On check in, the young female receptionist told us that there was only one set of keys available. The only solution she suggested was that whenever one or the other of us left the apartment we would have to detour via the hotel reception (about 2.5 blocks) to leave the keys, and whenever either of us returned, we would have to detour via the hotel reception again to see if the keys were there or not. If not, then the person returning to the apartment would have to buzz the other from the street who would have to let him/her in by buzzing the front door and various gates, regardless of whether he/she might be sleeping or otherwise engaged. (My husband was quite ill at the time.) The receptionist argued aggressively that this was not an inconvenience for us, and there was no explanation as to why a second set of keys could not be obtained. (Separately, two male staff members apologised profusely and acknowledged the inconvenience.) As stated, the apartment was very spacious and could accommodate three or even four adults, in which case having only one set of keys would be completely unworkable. Future guests should take this into account. Unfortunately this lack of attention to our request, made many months in advance, and the attitude of the receptionist on our arrival, negatively affected our experience. We have never had a problem obtaining two sets of keys for a rented apartment in the past.

We stayed for four nights at the Empress apartment. From the time of my reservation to our check out, Lisa (the receptionist) had been exceedingly helpful and very responsive. She even helped order a birthday cake from one of the finest bakeries in Verona! Check-in is by appointment only, and it went very smoothly. Lisa explained everything to us clearly, including where is the nearest family-owned grocery store. There were welcome muffins, which were delicious. The apartment was very clean, and they even offered complimentary housekeeping on the 3rd day. The room upstairs was nice with a window on the roof like previous reviewers noted. It's located in a quiet and yet convenient neighborhood - it's about 10 minutes walk to many of the attractions. The valet was very helpful and punctual too; there was only one time when we drove back from our day trip he's not able to park our car right away because he's got two other cars to valet park. But Lisa communicated this to me and it didn't affect our schedule at all. We can't thank Lisa enough for her help, and we definitely would recommend this place to others!

My husband and I stayed here for four nights in the Red room which was a really good size and so nicely decorated, as is the whole B&B. Arianna and her staff do such a great job making sure everything is clean and provide a wonderful breakfast with tasty treats fresh from the local bakery. The location is wonderful as it is only a few minutes walk to the heart of Verona, the Plazza Bra and the Arena. We really appreciated the cushions that were available to borrow for our night at the opera in the Arena! Thanks for a wonderful stay. We appreciated the kitchen shared with the other guests and access to the large refrigerator for items we picked up at the local store.

My partner and I stayed for 4 nights at the end of August/beginning of September, the location is great, walkable from the train station (15/20 mins) and less then 5 mins from the arena and main streets. We had breakfast included which was ok, staff were friendly and helpful. We would definitely stay here again if we were to visit Verona. The hotel also had good covid measured in place, hand sanitizer around the hotel, Perspex screens and masks, arrows to direct which way to go in/out. Particularly with breakfast instead of a buffet you pick what you want the night before and they bring it to your table, we had no concerns at all about the cleanliness and were happy with the measures in place.

We had four fabulous nights stay at Escalus luxury suites. The room was ready early as we had requested, which was most appreciated, as we’d arrived on an early flight. It was warm, modern and stylish, but comfortable with everything you could need provided. The staff were impeccable, always ready to help with anything you could possibly need to know as new tourist to Verona and it’s surrounding area. The breakfast was served to our room exactly at the time we’d asked for, with a great choice of warm and cold breakfast delights All delicious and fresh. The only slight down side, which is in no way a complaint to Escalus is that because of its central location it was a little noisy on a night until the shops closed and the sightseers went home. Having said that we slept well. So I would certainly recommend it to anyone wanting a modern place to stay in a beautiful ancient city.

A great hotel for a short visit to Verona and the old town. You are literally 10 mins away from the start of all the major sights and there are lots of places to eat once there. The hotel was really clean and the room was great for our family of 4. Very spacious. The service throughout was efficient and friendly, and parking was arranged for our car just a few meters down the road (20 euro for the night). I'd have no hesitation staying here again, it was spot on!
