3.77km from Pizzeria ExtraMy partner and I stayed for three nights at Filippini Apartment 3 in October 2018. The apartment was excellent - very spacious, attractive, well equipped and well located. Generous breakfast supplies are provided, which is a nice touch. Our only problem was with customer service. We travel a great deal and we always stay in apartments rather than hotels for the independence and flexibility apartments provide. Because we often come and go at different times, I always request two sets of keys. I did this in writing several months in advance when I made the booking with the Best Western Armando Hotel, which manages the Filippini Apartments. We understood that we would have to check in at the Hotel. On check in, the young female receptionist told us that there was only one set of keys available. The only solution she suggested was that whenever one or the other of us left the apartment we would have to detour via the hotel reception (about 2.5 blocks) to leave the keys, and whenever either of us returned, we would have to detour via the hotel reception again to see if the keys were there or not. If not, then the person returning to the apartment would have to buzz the other from the street who would have to let him/her in by buzzing the front door and various gates, regardless of whether he/she might be sleeping or otherwise engaged. (My husband was quite ill at the time.) The receptionist argued aggressively that this was not an inconvenience for us, and there was no explanation as to why a second set of keys could not be obtained. (Separately, two male staff members apologised profusely and acknowledged the inconvenience.) As stated, the apartment was very spacious and could accommodate three or even four adults, in which case having only one set of keys would be completely unworkable. Future guests should take this into account. Unfortunately this lack of attention to our request, made many months in advance, and the attitude of the receptionist on our arrival, negatively affected our experience. We have never had a problem obtaining two sets of keys for a rented apartment in the past.
