Sound, no-frills and very good value for money. Having a budget we booked for two weeks "room only basis" and were not disappointed. The hotel doesn't presume to be anything more than it is. If you want good beds, clean bedding, plenty of hot water, towels, a great location and very helpful and attentive staff then you will find it here. We had two double rooms, a bath and shower, a kitchenette with hot plates, fridge/freezer and adequate crockery/cutlery for even modest self-catering. OK, the decor and furniture is somewhat tired and dated but the place has a busy crew of room cleaners that we saw most days. The breakfast (E5 pp) was tried on Day 1 and was bland. There was a small balcony with an unfortunate view of building construction. The room had a heater and television with a poor selection of channels. On a wider note, travel on the roads is a nightmare at any time. A weekly bus ticket costs E21 each. Little Malta is clogged and its buses full. We found some sunshine and overall enjoyed our fortnight. Grand Harbour remains majestic as ever and is always worth viewing. But Malta has changed and not for the better. Our flights and fortnight room-only deal gave us change from £400 so we were able to eat out well without any problems. The hotel complex is low-budget but excellent value for money within that range. If we returned to Malta one day would we use Qawra Point? - yes, assuredly. The question for us, sadly, is whether we shall ever want to return to Malta again.

Well after my holiday was partially wrecked with The Primera Hotel (am a regular) closed ,and the hapless Travel Republic totally cocking up my booking at The Topaz Hotel (don't book with them!) I found myself in the cheapest on Hotel.coms list, The Cardor. I am practically a resident in Qawra and know where it is. Have stayed in The Canifor Hotel a few times, but never their apartments The Cardor. I must say I was very pleasantly surprised. Ok I had no balcony. But I want in there much. The Aircon was non existent and in July? Phew! But again was minor. The TV was not in the bedroom but kitchen and no free remote. So I never bothered. But what I got for my money, and it was cheap for the time of year was a great base. Bathroom was new and great. Cleaning to a high standard regular change of towels and freshen up. Fridge was brilliant to keep your drinks really cold. Crockery and cutlery handy for takeaways. Staff were polite and friendly too. All in all, it was fine. No complaints from me. I would stay again but probably not in July. The nights were very hot. Plus I do like laying in the bed watching TV in the quiet times. So probably a hotel room but for bargain apartment style holidays? The Cardor ticks a lot of boxes.

A very formal four-star American-style hotel with luxurious appearance and luxurious air-conditioning. The shower is very convenient. The shower is very convenient for the elderly. The bed was also particularly comfortable. It takes 10 minutes to reach Bujiba Terminal. There are many cars to Valletta. You don't have to wait. The key is to have a seat. Unfortunately, only the low season is the price, but it is said that there are various events and parties in the high season, which is worth it.

Everything from booking part until check out went perfectly fine. We had a support from service on every step. Hotel extended our stay (with no charge) so we didn't have to wait almost whole day on the airport! That's really nice! Location is fantastic. Breakfasts are delicious. Swimming poll on the roof is great place for nights (perfect view). Room is nice and bed is very comfortable. This was the best hotel We've ever been :-) Thank you again for service help a specially Monica. She is very helpful and nice. She gave us a lot of hints how to travel around Malta so we could see much more then we've planned! Thank you Monica for your support and kindness! Hope we will be back there soon :-)

Near the hotel is the bus terminal, which is very convenient. For special reasons we experienced two rooms. A better plug with a usb and a round hole. And the sea view room, using the British plug. All aspects of service are good. Breakfast was very rich and the buffet dinner was great! Still highly recommend this hotel!

We fancied a cheap fortnight away from the UK and Malta was high on our list of places to revisit, the last time we were here was in 2008 when we stayed in St Julians. We’d seen reviews saying that the hotel entertainment could be quite noisy, so I emailed to request a quiet room on a high floor and we booked this hotel as it was away from the main area, so thought it would be quiet. Well, our room was on a high floor and we even got a glimpse of the sea from our bedroom, but as for quiet… It would have helped were we not next to the lift shaft which you could hear throughout the night. Also, on a Wednesday and Saturday night, you can hear the karaoke from the Two Cherries pub directly over the road – and one night we had to shout out at 12.30am from the balcony for some people who were having an extremely loud conversation just outside which echoed throughout our room. The immediate area is one huge building site, with work starting at 7am, six days a week. We’ve never been that near to a crane before! One day, we returned to the room and our balcony chair/table were inside our room, with work happening on our balcony, which happened every now and again without any warning. The final straw was towards the end of our holiday when workmen were working on our balcony at 8am (always involving loud hammering), meaning we had to change rooms (and we weren’t the only guests that complained). Unfortunately, we both were ill during our stay (a cold, followed by sciatica then a tummy bug), so we really didn’t want the upheaval of moving, and just wanted a quiet holiday. Our first room was bright and spacious and kept very clean (as long as you didn’t let the dust in from the building work just outside), with plenty of storage space. The towels were of good quality, but the hot water didn’t always work. We brought our own redbush tea, so were glad that a kettle was included, but did miss a teaspoon – a stirrer was provided on the first day, but not replenished, but we picked one up from the restaurant without too much fuss, although the chambermaid decided to take it back down to the restaurant, so we hid it in the bureau (yes, there was a bureau in the room!). The television was too small to be of any real use – interestingly there were no British stations, but it was interesting to see how other countries see the world – news in English was available from France, Germany, UAE, Russia and Malta (at 8pm, but we were never in the room at that time). We ended up using a plaster to cover the annoying bright blue TV light which kept blinking, illuminating the room at night – we couldn’t find any way to switch it off at the mains – and even when we’d sorted that out, the smoke alarm flashed all night. Apart from the socket for the fridge, there were only two plugs, one used by the light and the other the kettle, so our extension lead came in very handy. Charging appliances was quite difficult as the old-fashioned room key was needed for the power supply

Stayed at the oriana hotel near the end of july for a week and had a very pleasant time whilst there. The room was spacious and cleaned well. The reception staff were all very friendly, polite and asserted to any questions we had. The hotel is also really close to bus stops which take you directly to Valletta. There are some really nice restaurants nearby and is about a 5-10 min walk to Bugibba square where there are further shops and restaurants. Also there is a very convenient small grocery shop next to the hotel with all the essentials you require such as bottled water, snack, soaps etc. If you are in need of a good hotel to stay in during your time in malta where you’ll mostly be out during the day exploring. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

Used this hotel for the past 9 yrs. Hotel is situated on top of a small steep hill. This should be taken into account when booking. The bus stops are at the bottom of the hill a few minutes walk. Alexis Meylaq the guest relations manager is there to help you should you have any quieres. During our stay Alexis was always on hand making sure we were happy with everything. Can’t thank her enough. Joanne & Steph on reception Making us welcome and helping in anyway they could. The service team act promptly if any problems arise. In our case a light bulb replacement. Thanks Raymond . Our apartment was kept very clean and to a high standard.Nice white towels and bedding changed regularly. Thank you Rita and her team. We look forward to our next visit 2021. The location is OK, just go to the pier where the boat is on the island of Gozo. There are a lot of restaurants nearby. It is very close to the center. The waiters are super nice. Please say hello, breakfast is OK. There is a suggestion. The bathroom can have a shower curtain. Splashing everywhere, it’s terrible. In the winter, the cold smells more and takes a shower, and the water flows into the house. I hope to adopt it.

Just returned from a week half board at this very pleasant hotel. We had 2 rooms and both were very nice. The beds were comfortable, bathrooms with showers and balcony overlooking the pool area. There is also a fridge in each room. The towels could be changed for clean each day if required and the sheets changed midweek. Breakfast was a choice of full cooked, continental or cereals with as much or as little as you wanted. Each evening meal there was a choice of at least 4 different mains with accompanying veg also a salad bar and plenty of desserts. The pool area was clean and tidy with sunbeds and cafe style seating. The sun was prominent in different areas around the pool pretty much all day. The staff were friendly and helpful. The building work we had been advised about was unobtrusive and caused us no problems at all. I had been wary of what to expect after reading some of the reviews, but can honestly say we had a great stay. Yes some of the decor is a bit tired and the fan In the room a bit noisy. The hotel was probably only about half full due to current travel restrictions, so it might be a bit crowded in the dining room or pool area when full. All in all we had a great time and wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

Intercontinental has been in place as an old-fashioned international chain of five-star services. This hotel has been built a little longer, but the internal facilities can still keep up. It is worth mentioning that the hotel's lemon verbena skin care set is very good! Each hotel has a balcony. The hotel has its own outdoor swimming pool and private beach. However, when I went there, it was too cold to watch. There is a Chinese restaurant nearby that tastes very authentic! The welcome pastries and thank you letters were sent the day before leaving. The price was good for the five stars in Malta. The service at the front desk was very good and very considerate.

The location is very good, there are bars, shopping malls and restaurants nearby. But the hotel is not soundproof, at night, during the day (beside the house under construction) is very noisy. Even Sunday is no exception. After all, most European countries do not go to work on Sundays. The service of the hotel, watching people come, the little brother who received the evening, the people are very good. The individual in the day made me a little unpleasant. Not detailed here. Hygiene, the toilet is never cleaned, my mom said that every day the toilet has hair before leaving in the morning. The ground is also. One day, even the shower gel was not given to us. . . I was prepared to take a bath in the water and found out that I ran downstairs to the lobby. Breakfast, we stayed for 4 days. The law has been found. Basically the same every day, boiled eggs and omelettes are exchanged every day. For the first two days, it feels good. Yes, there are many private travel companies near this hotel, there is no need to book a tour group at the hotel. I think the hotel will be more formal, in fact, the same, are the same tour group. Pay, give you a ticket, pick you up by boat. St. Julian, this is all on the beach. Private outside, but also take the initiative to give me a discount

We stayed 2 nights with 2 friends. The hotel itself was quite satisfying. It is beautiful and the staff is very friendly. However, I had booked a room with an ocean view for two nights, but when I went to the first night room, it was a city view. When I told the staff, the first night was that the room with the ocean view was not available anymore, so I could move to that room tomorrow. I had breakfast for two days, but I was wondering what the price would be. Also, because the location is on the hill and the bus that goes to it is quick to finish, it was difficult to ride the bus returning to the bottom of the hill at night and continue climbing the hill for about 10 minutes.

The Breakfast buffet selection is vast and fresh, with special requests like poached eggs prepared specially with a smile. The front desk of the hotel is on the 8th floor. You need to swipe your room card or ring the doorbell to enter in the evening on the first floor. It is safe. The staff at the front desk were very enthusiastic. The son ran around to play with them. They gave the child coloring books and crayons, and also blew him several balloons. The children bothered them over and over again without showing impatience. There are two types of breakfast juice: orange juice and apple juice. There are many kinds of coffee milk hot chocolate, and you can choose from the machine. Bread, desserts, fruits, salads, ham, etc. are also rich, and if you catch the early flight, they will set up the breakfast table before six o'clock, and you can pack them away. At breakfast, a tall black waiter saw that a child brought a box of chocolate pops alone. He chatted with the guests and introduced the hotel's facilities very warmly. The swimming pool and gym are shared with the intercontinental hotel next door, and they are in very good condition. The steak shop on the left hand side of the hotel is good.

I have spent 3 nights in H hotel in October 2020, 2 nights in a standard double room (1813) , and 1 night in the luxury Jacuzzi suite (1919) let me talk first about the positives, and then list few things that needs improvements. ### Positives : -- Hotel Location is very centric, close to the bus station, close to the night life, restaurants, and also close to the beach (which is not the beach you can relay on) -- The hotel is very clean and elegant, you can feel how luxury it is from the first moment. -- The staff is very friendly, and i can give here a VERY SPECIAL thanks to Soliman, from the food and beverage team, who was very professional, friendly, approachable and helpful to a great extent. -- The rooms are very well equipped, the bed is very big and comfy ###Things that needs improvements/attention from the hotel manager : -- Breakfast, Breakfast, Breakfast : Breakfast is below normal, doesn't fit at all the the rest of the hotel standard. items are VERY limited to the extent you may not find something to eat if you don't eat pork (like us), even the quality of the items is very poor, the cheese and smoked turkey are tasteless. No Fresh juice, we spent there 3 nights, and we were going to the breakfast forced just because we are hungry. I understand that COVID-19 is adding restrictions, but i have went to many hotels who handled it much better than this in terms of breakfast. if you are going there, booking without breakfast. -- TV channels are very bad, really. we stayed for 3 nights and we failed to find anything to watch, it is barely working, most of them are blank. we tried even to mirror our phones as the TV said it is possible, but it didn't work (for both the rooms we stayed in) - Coffee Machine was not working in room 1813 - Elevator needs to have a central calling button - it is not logical that you press the two elevators buttons to see which one is coming :) - this is waste of resources -- Indoor pool was in maintenance , and since outdoor pool was cold, we couldn't make use of the pool facility at all. -- despite we were in a higher floor, it was still noisy, i understand the hotel can do nothing with this ( and they already did a double glass) , but just this is worth to mention --Bathroom Privacy :) : Worst thing ever in the two rooms we stayed in ...one room 1813 had a glass toilet door (Yes, a transparent one) , and the other room 1919 had no bathroom door at all :) . it is not comfortable at all to stay in such rooms, even if you are married for 75 years. -- Jacuzzi filling is was not working properly in room 1919, it was only filling from one side, and the left side pipes was not working --> so it would take around 35 mins to have it properly filled -- Last but not least, i was given a room 1919 that has no view, just a view in the inner hall, and i am thankful that i stayed only 1 night there, if it would be more, i would have gone crazy, specially that the hotel

We really enjoyed our stay at the Malta Marriott. All the staff are great we were offered a warm welcome and the service carried on being excellent. We arrived very late evening and the restaurant was closing but Christine and the chef made sure we had something delicious to eat and they all stayed behind late to ensure we had a lovely dinner. Due to my sisters allergy's we ate in the hotel restaurant every day and they made sure that all her needs were catered to perfectly and I was offered a choice too. The variety at breakfast is amazing and the service is attentive but non obtrusive. The rooms, the pool and sauna were all beautifully cleaned and pristine. Only young people live in the hotel, therefore it is noisy. The room had as many as 2 air conditioners, but they did not cool, it was very hot. We didn’t settle here for a beach holiday, we walked around Valletta all day, we only spent the night in the room. I liked that the room was large and spacious with a huge terrace. There was no refrigerator. Each time it was necessary to hand over and take keys at the reception. I had to buy adapters for Euro standard sockets.

So the holiday began with my choice of hotel, 4 nights at the Salini (very nice by the way would 100% recommend) and for the last 2 nights we decided to meet up with my boyfriends mates and their girlfriends in st.Julian’s and they said they were staying here so we booked... this is where after looking at some pictures or disgusting beds and mouldy bathrooms should have insisted we stayed elsewhere and spend a bit more money and stay somewhere nicer. So after 4 great days at salini we got the bus to Dragonara apartments, went into the what used to be a reception to eventually find a note that tells you to check in at St. George’s park hotel across the road so we lugged our bags across the road to then find ourselves in a very hot sweaty reception area with long queues, eventually got to the front to be told I need to give a €50 cash deposit, which they would give back once the room had been checked on departure, I explained we would be leaving around 3/4am on night 2, to which he said they would arrange a security guard to come check the room at that time to give us the deposit...let’s just say on departure night there was no sign of a security guard until I went over and complained he hadn’t arrived and I didn’t want to miss our bus to the airport, eventually the reception put me on the phone to an English guy who had go at me for not giving an exact time of checkout so I would have to wait 20/30 minutes for him to get there so I could get my deposit- absolute shambles of an arrangement!! Anyway once we checked in and dragged the bags back over and went up in the lift we eventually got to the room... hoping to relax, well let’s just say my tight Yorkshire boyfriend was ready to go pay a few hundred to go back to where we’d come from... first the heat hits you like you’ve opened the oven door, then we realised what was going to be our home for 2 nights, all I can say was that it was like how I would imagine prison. Almost like camp beds with a thin sheet for bedding, not that you needed anymore than that with rooms been 1000 degrees. Windows backed out onto walls and cooking vents, everything was dirty, the ceiling fan we had to leave on 24/7 which still wasn’t anywhere near enough. This is guaranteed to be the worst place you’ll ever stay and pay for. Staff are terrible, unhelpful, unorganised, and rooms worse than being in prison, it ruined our holiday don’t let it ruin yours!
