Hotels near Plaine Mayrevieille, Carcassonne

This is a 2 star hotel not a 5 star hotel yet some people seem to have written their reviews on that basis which is exceedingly unfait. For a 2 star hotel it is ideal. I feel quite strongly about this as the owner goes above and beyond and it must be so demoralising to see reviews which hold the place to 5 star standards. It's not the Ritz but doesn't pretend to be. The location is great - it sits between the old town and la cite and vlose to restaurants and shops ( there's a nicebrasserie next door and a pizzeria just opposite) It is also clean and pretty spacious. The breakfast is simple but exactly what is needed - fresh bread/ croissants etc daily from the boulangerie at the corner of the street,/ yogurts with coffee/ tea on tap during the day (if the dining toom is open). In short it's great value for money. The owner is extremely helpful and was beyond generous with me when I had to report that my black pen had leaked on to the bedsheets and mattress. I have really enjoyed my time here. and would stay again if ever in Carcassonne

Very warm welcome, ideal location, and the room is perfect. The swimming pool was originally a plus, but we did not use it for more than 10 minutes and the water was cold because there is no locker or locker for the loan of bathrobes would be a plus to visit it from the room.

All good but a little awkward location though near the airport, 20 euro taxi from Carcassone centre and 10 to airport. Small pool but nice to have it and smoking area out back too. Standard double room was fine, clean, adequate. And we got a duvet! A light one, just right for the weather at the time. Service was fine,breakfast was super. Bit stressed though at indefinite time of arrival of taxi to airport in the morning. Booked by receptionist. But altogether good and great value! 👍

A gem of a stay. Amandine et Arnaud were the perfect hosts. Breakfast was superb, with the pastries baked by Amandine. All the jams were from local produce. We stayed in the Terrassee room for 4 nights. Great location for both the down town city and the medieval city up on the hill. One to definitely recommend.

Hotel location is a short distance from the castle, breakfast is standard, the room is OK, but the price of the hotel in the peak season has also risen.

Clean, spacious apartment, comfortable bed, very good shower, very friendly staff. About a 25/30 minute walk to the town centre, slight incline but i have damaged knees and managed fine. Pool area looked nice, didn't have time to test it out. Would definitely recommend

This hotel small but friendly, serving bed and breakfast only, is central to Carcassonne main town the railway station, canal boat trips and river. Not far away is the old and fortified town of Carcassonne and is a spectacle to see for a day excursion travelling there by the Petit train. Hotel de la Bastide has four floors and a lift to get you up to the floors you require. The rooms are ensuite with bath or shower and have king size beds. Carcassonne has many surprises in store every corner you turn is different and interesting and many restaurants to choose from for main meals. The tourist information is right by the canal side. There is also a hourly shuttle bus to and from the airport picking up and dropping off at the railway station. An excellent four days and night had by all with thanks to the staff at this great find.

Awarded 4 stars simply for the fabulous location, just a short two minute walk up the hill to the most amazing castle, worthy of a Disney set. The hotel staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good, if not a little over priced. (€15 for a continental breakfast). The small heated outdoor pool, was a nice touch after a day of sightseeing. The rooms were clean with quirky decor, although they were vety small. My room had no wardrobe and no real space to add one. The only storage was a drawer in the bathroom. The bath was tiny, with a temperamental overhead shower. There were also areas in the bedroom where wallpaper was peeling. Not the best hotel that I've ever stayed in but if you're looking for location than this hotel is the one!

Central, clean and dog friendly ! The room was a bit small . The staff was friendly and the surrounding area is perfect to walk your dog. Only 5 min from the cité carcassone. Dog fee 7€. Has a vending machine in the corridor.

Comodo hotel, con parcheggio privato. Un plus se viaggiate in macchina. Camera e bagno minimali ma puliti. Non abbiamo usufruito della colazione, quindi non possiamo giudicare. Rapporto qualità prezzo davvero valido, valutatelo se non avete grosse pretese.
