      I will write this review in English, even though I am Greek so future guest will be aware. First of all, I booked a double room for 1 night stay. When I checked in and entered that... let say 'room' 303, which looked more like a rat hole, I called the front desk & asked for availability for a superior room with the hope of a larger and more descent room... During the conversation I asked about the difference of the price and the receptionist (Mr Christos Kiriakidis) mentioned that it would be 86€ although I was holding my cellphone checking it real time & it was 70€. He said it was his bad. I agreed for that price of 70€. I came down to the front desk, took my new key for room 707. The moment I entered the room it smelled cesspool intensely! Calling again Mr Christos asking what could have happened with that situation he replied, in a bored tone of voice, that it is really difficult to call the maintenance at that time to check the problem. I asked for another room, he told me to come down and pick up the key of 708. When I told him that it would be already the second time I would visit him and since he is by himself he could pass me the room card by the elevator and proceed with the cancellation of the previous card, in order to avoid that. But no. He would rather reply to me in a sarcastic way "you know, it is your choice to change rooms" I my FCKIN GOD! I went down the reception once more to receive the key for room 708 and asked him politely the email of the hotel management and then Mr. Christos Kiriakidis came in a bullying way, replying "that would be me! I'm the manager!" I couldn't help it but laugh. Yeah dude, relax. You would slap me in the face if you could, right? I thought to myself. Anyway, going up in R708 the tv was not working, there were 2 single beds (although my initial reservation was for a queen/king size bed) and the floor was dirty. Walked barefoot for a minute and my soles were black already! Regarding the tv Mr Kiriakidis replied that this was a general problem. ("Yeah man, ok.") I shall give the credits for the park view & the renovated bathroom. Overall the hotel is really old & dirty and employs rude staff. Totally not worth the price/per room/per night. Kindly note that there are plenty of renovated hotels in the area with way more reasonable prices (it is best adviced to check the 'Piraeus City Hotel') with well trained with at least basic principles of courtesy.       If your cruise port in Athens is in Piraeus, you can't go wrong with this low-key hotel located in one of the many side streets along the one of the main streets, 2AS Merarchias, whose both ends terminate at the ferry ports (Akti Miaouli) and the marina (Akti Moutsopoulu) - for smaller private & fishing boats. It's somewhat adjacent to a theater (permanently closed??) that advertised risqué shows and right beside a small parking lot. Since the hotel sits atop a slope near the marina, it provides a lift for the handicapped in order to check-in. Otherwise, it's a 6 or 7 steps affair up the small hotel lobby where a tiny but modern elevator (good only for a single person and a luggage) whisks tired hotel guests up and down. We got 2 rooms - one for 3 people & the other for 2 persons both of which provided views of the not-so-busy side street (K. Pasalimani). Fronting the hotel are apartments or condo units. Nothing much around this otherwise quiet one-way street. But just 2 corners from this quiet street is the marina along Akti Moutsopoulu where there are numerous food stalls, shops and supermarkets. If you're craving for Greek 'comfort food' as well as delicious cakes and pastries - at very reasonable prices - head to the opposite direction along 2AS Merarchias St. going to the cruise and ferry ports, until you're along Akti Miaouli and right at one corner would be a branch of "Bread Market." We ate there twice: once for dinner during our second night and a 2nd time (also for dinner) after we arrived from Santorini (we used Sea-Jets ferry located at Port E9 & Bread Market is right across the street -- it's also where we hailed the taxi ride via Uber -back to our downtown Athens hotel this time- instead of getting a taxi right inside the port where drivers would hassle you. The hotel itself is relatively small so as with the rooms. Sheets are clean as well as the pillows and towels. The bathrooms have modern fixtures with the shower area having semi-frosted-glass sliding doors to separate it from the rest of the bathroom area ñ which, overall. is decent in size. Water pressure (both hot & cold) is very good, so it's good to know that you can have that nice warm-to-hot shower back at the hotel after those tiring, long uphill-downhill walks along the hard sidewalks of Piraeus ñ if not all over Athens. The hotel has a large dark-blue and white signage thatís visible only during daytime -- itís not lighted-up during that late night we arrived from the airport (probably just to save on electric bills??). There were ample AC (220 V ñ European sockets) electrical outlets but make sure to bring a plenty of adapters to use them. If bringing a power strip, make sure that theyíre rated for 220V-240 V AC ñ otherwise, sparks may fly and trip the electrical panel located in every room. Breakfast is typically not included but could be purchased at the hotel although it starts rather late ñ from 8:00 AM to 11:00 AM. Early birds or those w

      The hotel was centrally located to the shopping district and ports which gave us plenty to explore on our trip. The hotel accommodated well for our needs. We were travelling as a party of 7 and split into 2 rooms consisting of 2 adults and 3 children in one room with 2 adults in an neighboring room. The rooms were clean and spacious despite the number of beds that needed to be accommodated. The upper 2 floors were reserved for the restaurants serving meals. The breakfast was excellent for the budget and whilst the à la carte evening menu was small, the food quality was good. The staff were friendly and made an effort to help whenever and wherever they could. My only concern about the trip was room security which I expressed to the reception following another resident entering our room one evening whilst my wife and children were asleep and I was out. Staff were very apologetic and investigated the incident immediately using CCTV from the corridors. However, it was very disconcerting that for such a small hotel another resident was given the wrong access and was either directed to this room or found the one room where the card worked. This just shouldn't happen! For this reason alone I wouldn't revisit this hotel personally.

      We have used this hotel a couple of times already and we love it! Firstly, the location is amazing. A short walk to Piraeus port and a turn away from the express/shuttle bus to the airport. Plus, next to a high street full of shops. Secondly, the rooms are impecable. We have been staying at a different room each time and they are always clean, tidy and super cozy! Makes me feel like we are staying at those rooms on Pinterest. Thirdly, the concierge is very helpful and go over and beyond to assist and make your stay as stress-free as possible. Reasonable prices too. Highly recommended and will be using again in the future.

      The hotel is clean, spacious, quiet and in a good location for the port and the airport bus. It has the feel of a good quality budget hotel in the UK. Our room was on one of the higher floors and had a good sized balcony which looked out onto a nice historic building across the street, over the roof tops and to a distant Acropolis view. A few reviews have mentioned that it’s not in a particularly good area but my experience of Piraeus is that most of the area feels a bit rundown. Communications with the hotel before our stay were excellent with e-mails responded to in 24 hours typically. We didn’t opt for breakfast as, at the time, it was a pre-packed offering that didn’t look too appealing. I am quite glad that we didn’t as there are a number of bakeries and coffee shops near by that have good breakfast options and, for the price of one breakfast at the hotel, I got breakfast and lunch for two of us from a bakery near the metro station which was about a 5 minute walk away which included a good selection of koulouri thessalonikis which made for a good start to our Greek holiday.

      The most important thing to note is it's not in the heart of Athens, but if you are happy with that and perhaps you are getting on an early ferry or a cruise, then this is a great spot. There's actually plenty to do, with lots of bars and restaurants along the waterfront, a lovely walk around the marina to the main port area and the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center nearer than if you're in Athens itself. The hotel is gorgeous, spotlessly clean, friendly and welcoming staff, hip rooftop dining/bar area and stylish, modern rooms. The views are lovely, too, right over the marina, so you wake to brilliant sunshine and the coast view. Dinner on the roof is just perfect – the food, the ambience, the service, the twinkling lights of the bay – even if you're not staying here, come here and have a drink. And breakfast in the Botanist is delicious. Shout out to the staff, everyone of whom was welcoming, friendly and helpful, whether it was storing our luggage, turning up outrageously late for breakfast or helping with directions. It's a really lovely, warm and welcoming place and ideal for a business trip or for a couples' getaway.

      We had booked a room and asked for a very special room, but we never had a response from the hotel, so we met with a suite that we didn't want. The hotel is very comfortable and very comfortable. The hotel has a nice room with a glass painted in the hall and movements all night ...This is really not quiet. If not, at all at more than € 80 per night we are entitled to ask a little more steps of cotton no dressing ..... This is very insufficient for a suite !! The location of the hotel is scared to see prepare your legs to hope for a more nice, less fearful neighborhood, and especially restaurants because you will need to walk a moment! The hotel is a very good hotel, and the hotel is a very good hotel. The room was very comfortable and the room was very comfortable. Café or nothing, hard egg and crocodile monsieur... I can only disconseiller this hotel that is too expensive compared to the offered services.

      Downtown hotel, my home for a one-night stay before heading for the island ferries. Small, and has an air of quality about it; excellent service at the reception desk in the spotlessly clean foyer. Room was quite small with a compact bathroom but again, the cleanliness was excellent. Some city noise coming into the room, but absolutely no more than you'd expect and prepare for in any city hotel. Breakfast was basic, but tasty and nicely prepared. To be honest, the hot food could usefully have been hotter, but that's a perennial problem of help yourself buffet arrangements. All staff and customers were required to use plastic gloves when selecting food. The staff were helpful and charming. The part of the ferry port I needed the next morning (for the FlyingCat out to the Saronic Islands) was about 3 minutes walk - left out of the hotel, go 30 metres, left into a semi-pedestrianised street with a couple of tavernas and the fish market building, cross the main roads and use a pedestrian entrance into the docks. Google Maps will have you on the 15 minute tour of the main roads of Piraeus, dragging your luggage all the way. Good hotel, good price, good location. Dinner can be had at the basic but most enjoyable tavernas mentioned above.

      This hotel is good at what it sets out to be: A place to stay when you're in transit, like when your plane comes in in the evening and your connecting boat doesn't leave until the next day. It is not a hotel where you want to spend your vacation, though. It's a bit far from Athens for that, and the area is just not that inspiring. The hotel rooms are clean but basic, so dont expect any luxury. There are stairs from the street to the lobby. Ask for help if you have a lot of luggage, and the friendly staff will help you. What's good about the hotel: - The staff. Very, very friendly and helpful. - The rooms are clean. - Walking distance to the ferries. - Quiet area, no disturbing traffic. What less good about the hotel: - The breakfast is a bit "thin" and basic. - The hotel elevator is very small and not that fast. If you have a lot of luggage, you'll have to make several trips. I would stay here again if I'm in transit, it's a good place to spend the night. It's not a place where I would vacation, though. I would have given a grade 4 if the breakfast would have had some more choices.

      We have used this hotel a couple of times already and we love it! Firstly, the location is amazing. A short walk to Piraeus port and a turn away from the express/shuttle bus to the airport. Plus, next to a high street full of shops. Secondly, the rooms are impecable. We have been staying at a different room each time and they are always clean, tidy and super cozy! Makes me feel like we are staying at those rooms on Pinterest. Thirdly, the concierge is very helpful and go over and beyond to assist and make your stay as stress-free as possible. Reasonable prices too. Highly recommended and will be using again in the future.

      With all that is going on with COVID-19 it is nice to see a hotel operating with a good customer focus. We were due to travel to Athens for a cruise but this was cancelled. Our exit point was Athens and we were only staying for one night at the Piraeus. Our flights were also cancelled rendering any visit here to be pointless. I had booked this hotel over a year ago under a non-refundable agreement. However, on enquiry the hotel graciously agreed to refund my full amount without question. I must say this sort of hotel policy is refreshing and will mean that on my return to Athens I most certainly will book again at this location. The same cannot however be said of some hotels I have experienced in Italy, where they simply took the money and refused even to credit / voucher or apply a booking at a future date. Well done to the staff at the Piraeus, thanks.

      I am SO glad I chose to stay at Lilia Hotel during my recent trip to Greece! Not only is the price extremely reasonable, but the hotel is located in such a great area for exploring Piraeus and nearby cities. The staff are very helpful and friendly, and the rooms are comfortable and clean. I truly could not have asked for a better place to stay; I even changed my original travel plans to stay in Piraeus and Lilia Hotel for 5 additional days. I highly recommend both the city and this hotel to anyone traveling to Greece! :)

      Anita Hotel

      I don't understand why Argo Anita is described as quiet - it's not. The cleaners/maids start their rounds at 6am, and the result is banging doors and the distinct sound of people tidying and cleaning other rooms and the hallways. Also, the balcony door offers no protection from the sounds of traffic and people working with drills and hammers, etc. Take earplugs. However, I got a twin room for about £30 a day, the sheets and towels were replaced while I was out (except on one occasion), floors were mopped and swept, and while a lot of the staff were business-like, and one maid was clearly annoyed when she was cleaning my room while I sat on the balcony (I had to go and find her one day), a couple of the maids were very friendly. A half-hour walk takes you past the Piraeus yacht harbour and to the spectacular views from above and on the pebbly and rocky beach. Coffee and sandwich shops are a short walk from the hotel, and the harbour-side hypermarket is just 20 minutes from the hotel. The ancient monuments, like the Acropolis are an inexpensive taxi ride away, in the centre of Athens. The airport, however, is an hour's drive away: expect to pay 55 Euros for a taxi to Athens International. For value, and a nice balcony, I happily give the Argo Anita four stars out of five. Like most Continental hotels, don't expect tea and coffee-making facilities (cups, kettle, sachets of beverages, etc). Oh, and the air conditioning is superb. A frosty cool room in minutes, if you wish, after a hot day on the beach or sightseeing.
