      We have been loyal IHG customers for years. Our last experience however was far below the standard we have become accustomed to. So much so that we felt we needed to complain. Two weeks ago we have completed 2 online IHG feedback forms to which there was no response, spoke to Customer Care twice, and the hotel manager once. The backstory from the Holiday Inn West – Boca Rotan, FL: At 4:00p check-in I asked for an extra blanket and proceeded to ask 3 more times before one arrived at 9:30p. Secondly, we shared with the night clerk that the bathroom drain was plugged and when we came back from being gone for the day, it was still plugged. The clerk had not noted our room number or written it down. Is this part of the Clean Promise from your website? Disgusting. The hallway looked tired and also not up to the IHG Clean Promise. On our last full day at the hotel, the power went out in just our room at 5:00a one day when we were getting ready for the day. The night clerk changed our room from a king size bed to 2 double beds, but offered no flashlight to help us move our things which we needed to move in the dark. We reserved a king bed which I am sure was a higher room rate than the room with the double beds. The hotel manager blamed the pandemic and the type of hotel it was even though none of these issues could be tied back to the pandemic and hotel type. The Customer Care representative gave us additional points, the equivalent of a $50 Starbucks card. Disappointed does not come close to how we feel. Is this how loyal customers are treated?

      Hotel service is more formal than other hotels, very good! Especially breakfast, the American breakfast habits are different from those of the Chinese. Compared with the breakfast at the American hotel, the breakfast at this hotel is really good, the quality of the food is very good! Location, there is a seafood restaurant, a Chinese restaurant next door. It is also close to the shopping center. The parking lot is waiting for you at any time!

      I checked in around 11pm. After settling into my room, I went to use the bathroom. After making a substantial deposit I tried to flush only to find that the water was turned off! The valve was not a standard valve so I couldn't turn it back on. That was room 409. I re-packed and got another room only to find that the TV didn't work. It turned on, but the box feeding the video wasn't working. That was room 405. They put me in another room - this one around the corner from the lobby. Only the MUSAK from the lobby was loud enough to bleed into my room, so I moved again. That was room 100. I got to my final room, 435, only to find that the remote for the TV was missing. I went back to the front desk. The attendant couldn't find another remote so I suggested that I go back to room 405 and get that remote - since that TV wasn't working anyway - to use in my room. It was 12:20 AM by the time I settled in. It's now 8:15 AM and I am far from feeling rested for my drive home. The night clerk was very friendly, sympathetic and accommodating and the rooms in general were comfortable. But they NEED to have a staff meeting with their maintenance and housekeeping employees. I was about to charge them for my time as their ROOM INSPECTOR.

      This is a nice hotel for a good price, but the management could easily do more to improve one's stay. The lobby is real nice, the breakfast area is ample, the breakfast provided was really good, the room that we had was spacious for the price and very functional, the shower was also real good. However, the room was showing its age, with some degree of seediness. Our toilet seat was not properly attached and had to be fixed, our sink faucet was corroding and did not even work properly (it rotated 360 degrees and did not afford hot water; their attempt to fix it was not effective), the house-keeping service (on request) was less than adequate, one of the two elevators was out of service during our 3-night stay and two of them were needed at certain times of the day, room-darkening curtains could not be overlapped easily to block out the light. One very disappointing aspect was: the windows were terribly soiled; basically FILTHY. I would have given a rating of three stars, but decided to be fair by balancing the very good aspects with the unacceptable ones. The management clearly has to do a better job in overseeing the quality of this hotel in the non-public areas.

      Some honest feedback and thoughts about this Marriot property in Boca. Stayed there for several months. There is a lot to like about this hotel: It is centrally located in Boca and wedged in between I95 and Boca Raton‘s small airport. The hotel is very clean, in my opinion, and it is obvious given how hard the staff are working. Always mopping common areas, elevators and keeping things fresh. The rooms are what to expect at a Fairfield. Nottingham more, nothing less. The TV‘s could use to be switched out to smart TV‘s but that is true about many other properties as well - not just this one. The breakfast is what’s to be expected at a Fairfield property, nothing more and nothing less. The real gem is the pool area that somehow manages to give the place a resort like vibe with some palm trees and a large pool with a separate spa. It should be pointed out that the maintenance of the pool is superb as it’s done daily making this one of the best cared for pool areas that we have seen. 10 points to the guy making sure it’s so clean. The problem with this hotel is the management and it has gotten increasingly worse over time resulting in the departure of some truly amazing staff. Some of this will likely not be an issue for someone staying for a few nights. It quickly becomes an issue over time. Gloria at the front desk will harass you and demand payments before checkout time for the following night regardless if the hotel was humming at 60% capacity. We can, in fact, not think of any person as uniquely ill fitted to work in the service industry. There were many guests that actually decided to leave the hotel and to go elsewhere based on Glorias manners clearly condoned by Deon.

      When I came to the class, because I lived for more than the preferential price given to the class, I decided to stay in Ctrip for one night. It seems that it is not expensive. The room is super large, it is a suite, there is a refrigerator microwave, sofa. The front is the swimming pool and the rear window is the parking lot. The scenery is beautiful. Definitely suitable for vacation and leisure. I want to rent a car, because it is surrounded by hotels and roads, so I stayed at the hotel to prepare the course. Everywhere is the elderly to come on holiday, the fish restaurant TARCO in the hotel restaurant is very delicious, I can't finish the hot microwave oven in the evening. It is also very quiet around, in short, it is a good place to rest. However, the hotel did not have a shuttle service to Fort Lauderdale Airport and had to take a taxi. When I came, I was about $58, and I had to add a tip.
