Hotels Near Pontassieve Piazza Mosca In Pontassieve Review

Stayed here after a couple of long days travelling through Tuscany and left refreshed. A little difficult for us to find because we were driving and weren't familiar with the town. When the door opened we were greeted with such friendliness and warmth though that it didn't matter. Rooms are basic with separate bathrooms. We didn't have to share. Place was quiet, well situated for getting groceries, and there are restaurants nearby. Parking can be found, though it is free overnight and paid after 8a. There is a parking area a block away that is free 24hrs though. Loved this place.

This hotel is very good! Because the flight was cancelled and no suitable flight was booked, I had to stay in Italy for a while, and chose the cheapest one, which was unexpectedly good! The hotel is located in the suburbs, east of Florence. It is a hotel designed for self-driving tours and has many parking spaces (free parking for one car at the hotel). All are bungalows. The facilities are well-equipped inside, very clean, air-conditioned, and a small refrigerator. The toilet and bathroom are separate. There are tables and chairs outside. Sitting in the sun is very enjoyable. There are sockets outside and you can cook by yourself. The entire hotel is completely in nature. There are beautiful paths and beautiful roads. There is also a beautiful river outside the hotel. Many people run by the river every day, and we have also gone for a run. But we run more in the hotel, the hotel is very large, we have run through every corner. The service is also very considerate. A clean car will shuttle in the park every day. The service staff is very kind. There are buses that go through the city. 1.5 yuan/person. The hotel also accepts RVs and charges a fee. There are public restrooms. There are swimming pools, entertainment facilities for children, and beach courts (this statement may not be accurate, anyway, it is sandy). There is a supermarket and a restaurant in the hotel. The things in the supermarket are a bit more expensive than in the city. The food in the restaurant is delicious and not very expensive. A hotel I like very much!

When we decided to stay for 2 weeks in Florence we looked for a hotel with a pool so we could spend days chilling in between days visiting Florence and other attractions in the area. Hotel Mulino ticked all the boxes for us. It is for us within walking distance of the city along the very pleasant riverbank paths, but realise this is not the case for everyone. The hotel does offer a courtesy bus 3 times in the morning and 3 late afternoon the last returning at 7.30. Taxis are a option but not particularly cheap. We mostly took the bus in and walked back if we stayed out later than 7.30. The Hotel Mulino itself is located right on the river; meals we took at the hotel were taken outside overlooking the river, a really wonderful location. The staff are very helpful and friendly they also helped us booking trips and tickets and were brilliant throughout our stay, nothing was too much trouble they are all a great credit to the Hotel. The room was very good it had an attractive vaulted brick ceiling with a comfortable bed, we requested a room with a bath and this was granted. The air con worked well during the rather hot weather and was not too noisy. The breakfast had a good choice of foods to suit all tastes, the scrambled eggs were excellent, strange to comment on maybe but true non the less. The restaurant staff again were most pleasant and helpful. We only ate here on two evenings, the food was very good but the menu didn't change in the 2 weeks we were there, but most people only stayed a few days so wouldn't be a problem. The pool is very good and never too busy with towels provided, but do bring some good mosquito repellent, as they can be a problem as you are next to the river. The hotel provides a mobile phone to each room something we've not come across before, which we took with us on our days out it has contacts and info on it. This came in useful especially after one-day trip when my phone had died on me. We would have no hesitation in choosing to stay here again, a wonderful 2 weeks in an oasis just outside the hustle and bustle of Florence A very big thank you to everyone who made our holiday so special.

The hotel is just across the river from The Mall and is about 10 minutes drive. We drove by car, arrived at 9 o'clock in the evening, the hotel owner is still very good waiting for us. Have your own parking space, inside the gate, very safe. There are two entrances, and the road is full of beautiful and neat trees, which are very easy to find. The room was very clean. When I filled out the order, I chose 2 adults + 1 two-year-old child. I didn't communicate with the hotel alone. I found that the hotel had carefully prepared a baby cot. The surrounding scenery is very beautiful, you can go to the pool in the summer, or just rest in the yard, especially good. Unfortunately, Italy in September has started to cold, and there is no way to swim. The breakfast at the hotel was really delicious. The cakes and jams in the photos were made by the owner himself. It was very delicious and healthy!

We have just returned, at long last due to Coronavirus to our retreat and bolt hole which we call our second home, Villa La Massa. It was fantastic to return and see how recent times have changed everyone’s lives and how adaptable people are. During the winter extensive alterations were completed which saw the additional of some new suites, a dedicated restaurant for lunch and a new pool but sadly the opening was delayed until late July when guests were once again allowed to return to hotels in Italy. We found superb additions to an already delightful hotel. The original intimacy of La Massa remains but there is now even more to enjoy. The staff, limited in numbers like the number of guests staying were fantastic and continued to maintain the high standards of service we have experienced over many years and repeated visits. The views of the countryside and banks of the Arno remain undiminished as does the quality of the hotel, excellent food and ambiance. Sadly, their are restrictions in place regarding faces masks at times that have become part of our everyday lives but it didn’t diminish the experience at all. The spa is currently closed due to the virus but the gym is open and with the new pool and it’s surroundings I didn’t even think about the spa once. As always the food is exceptional and the chef is always around to chat and will tweak meals with pleasures to meet your needs. It would be unfair to single out anyone as everyone is working hard but Stefano Venturi the General Manager and Tamara should be congratulated for shaping and guiding his team in these difficult times. With fingers crossed I hope to return in a month and enjoy the vista again. Florence is starting to get busier as well as tourists slowly return. Attractions are open and in some cases it is advisable to pre book.

A friendly welcome and efficient check-in is always a good start to any stay. All worked well from start to finish with a lovely room and facilities (including provision of an anti mosquito plug on request), a very good night's sleep and an ample breakfast with plenty of choice. The grounds and overall ambience are quite splendid (the swimming pool was however not operative in mid October). Despite the countryside location, the autostrada and railway line are fairly close to the property but any noise fears in that respect were non existent. No evening dining option at time of stay. Close enough to Florence to be of interest. Would revisit.
